Residence 74 Cafe & Bar in Leeds

The service is exceptional and this was one of the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Would 100% recommend for anyone visiting Leeds. The cafe is really nice & welcoming too.

Loved the food and the ambiance, great service, can’t fault it. Me and the wife were very happy with our choices and the taste was amazing.

I came in with my sister who has walking difficulties, husband and myself. I am pregnant although you probably couldn’t tell because I was wearing baggy clothes, and I was trying to help my sister walk in. Eva was considerate at seating us and could see my sister was struggling and got us a table quicker than estimated. Thank you Eva, if you weren’t so nice I probably would have become quite upset as one of the customers trying to get past me and my sister was giving us evils (don’t think she realised we weren’t being rude, we just couldn’t move out of the way quick enough because of my sisters disability). Alex got us some water even though it was self serve. Food and drinks were lovely.

Delicious brunch! Great selection on the menu, with beautiful veggie options. My brunch was cooked perfectly, was very flavoursome. Our server Grace was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, provided a genuinely great service. Will definitely be back!

Residence 74 is always a pleasure to visit. It is my go to spot when treating myself and others to breakfast or brunch. Tasty, top quality food, a laid back, comfortable atmosphere and fantastic service! Thank you to our server Eva, who greeted us at the door and was friendly and attentive throughout our visit 😊

My daughter and I have been here a couple of times now. Very warm & welcoming atmosphere. Eva, our waitress was as professional as they come. Very pleased with the service and the food. I would definitely recommend.

Was a fairly quick stop to get my mum out of the house. Great home produced food, tasted great and presented well. Well priced also

Residence has become our local coffee stop most days. Me and my partner walk up on a lunch break and get lattes to go - they know us so well now we don't need to even order, they remember one is with cows milk and one with oat. We love it so much we are taking all our friends who also live in the area, popping in for brunch and dinner. The brunch is served till quite late in the day which is great for us and been pescetarians there is a great amount of choice. The poached eggs are always perfect. We can't wait till the sun comes out more and we can sit outside on the terrace and switch to iced lattes instead.

Lovely bijou bar/cafe with outside seating when not wet Good breakfast and lunch option and Bar. We went for brunch. Not overly expensive, we had lovely food and coffees/lemonade for less and £15 p.p. Welcoming and friendly staff, courteous and swift enough service. We're visiting Leeds and will come back again on future visits!

Not worth its money, we left with cut pallets! My partner and I attended at the weekend and ordered x2 Mochas, Mighty English and a x1 double Sausage and double bacon sandwich (altered Breakfast sandwich of 3 options with pointless salad instead of x2 sandwiches) which cost £34 all in. The place looked lovely and the service was good but both the bread of the sandwich and sour dough bread of the breakfast was dry and super crispy, and with every mouthful cut up the inside of our mouths. My partners mighty English was good apart from the bread. The bacon was also rather dry but edible in the sandwich. I got a double sandwich to fill me up for the price as I don’t like most breakfast item options but wish I hadn’t bothered, and left when I looked at the menu

Coffee was nice but I was very disappointed with the food. Ordered the large Merida plate of Gyros (chicken & pork). The chicken & pork was a selection of fatty, very thinly cut, small, fried to death pieces. I found it difficult to stomach 😨 The pitta breads that came with it also had a strange ‘fried’ taste to them. Overall, it didn’t taste fresh.

Great breakfast and lovely decor. Quite small inside. Service was good and they adapted the menu to suit our needs. Only downside was the price £56 for 2 adult and 2 kids breakfast with coffee and apple juice.

Really lovely little cafe, with gluten free options. My husband particularly enjoyed his full English and was pleased to see they had gluten free sausages on offer and we're happy to swap the black pudding for an extra hash brown. Definitely felt coeliac friendly. Only improvement that could have been made was that my hot chocolate was very much of a drinkable temperature, and was gone almost too quickly! I had one of the best sourdough sandwiches I've had in a while! Chicken and chorizo - really tasty. The chips were great too. The ladies serving were very friendly and happy to help. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Free parking outside. Heaters also on the decking outside which is an added touch!

Incredible spot with something for everyone and amazing service! The food was great (best chicken burger my husband has ever had apparently) and the mocktails were delicious. Emily was so helpful and friendly. Definitely need to come in more often.

We really liked eating here. It was a Tuesday lunchtime, It was busy but we still managed to get a table without booking in advance. The decor and ambiance really give it a cool, youthful vibe. We ordered the Residence Avo on Toast and the Residence Cheese burger and both were great and are highly recommended. Would definitely go back for lunch or an evening meal. My teenage son would love it as well I think.

Absolutely fab cafe! We've been in for brunch and lunch before, both of which are delightful, and the staff are always so friendly and attentive :) I would highly recommend! I've also never had an issue with finding parking on the road!

Quick service and lovely staff. Coffee was brilliant, much better than you'd find in a Starbucks. Food was amazing also, really well done and presented. Aesthetically a lovely, cozy place that's so welcoming. Will be returning here more often!

Had a wonderful lunch with my son, the coffee and hot chocolate was to die for, and the food was exceptional. The friendly, happy staff made it a lovely place to come back to, easy parking outside.

English breakfast was great. The only suggestion is to use a better quality sausage. It was good but would have preferred better quality. Lovely atmosphere, great staff. Introducing Filter coffee would be good

Disappointed in our visit. Halloumi salad £10 with one tiny rectangle of halloumi. Asked for another slice and got two small slices, charged for £3 extra! Nice coffee and all else OK but definitely overpriced!

THE BEST VEGGIE BREAKFAST I’ve ever had! A small place so you usually do have to wait a little but it’s worth the wait. Staff great, music great, lovely atmosphere. So happy we found this little place. It also seems to be where all the cool people hang out so I’m officially cool now 😎.

Use to love this place, not anymore!!! Ordered as usual only for the chicken salad to turn up with 2 peace's of chicken and the ham and cheese sandwich with no cheese and a peace of ham that was not even half the size of the bread. Rang straight away and was told they were really sorry and that they would sort it out and to give my name because Uber wouldn't give me a refund unless the restaurant rang them. Rang up to order again and the girl very clearly didn't tell manager at all because he didn't have a clue but then was offered some free chips in replacement for a £25+ order. Told the manager this was the last time we will be dining there or ordering takeaway (because we'd already ordered again) only to be told "ok bye". Really poor service UPDATE!!! so our last order came wrong as well and was told to ring back tomorrow lol

Had breakfast here during my stay in Leeds. A good selection of dishes on the menu, I was told about the fabulous coffee....yes it is worth it so lovely. Have to mention Kiera who was friendly, efficient and really welcoming. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Took the family here for a Saturday morning breakfast in Feb. Parked on side street very nearby. Lovely wee place (walk up only, no bookings unfortunately), really good cooked breakfast with range of meat / veggie / vegan options, all served with friendly staff. Oh and very reasonable cost too. What's not to like?! I've also taken away a recommendation for Richmond vegan sausages, bonus!

We need more of these in Leeds, the big chains cant beat a local café, that serves great food by really friendly staff that after a few visits know your name

Was recommended to visit from a friend. It is very much worth a visit. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and prompt. We will definitely be visiting again.

Was just disappointed, overall wasn’t the worst food experience I’ve had but it wasn’t 4.7 out of 5 stars, I got a Avocado hash, when I got it, I noticed the avocado didn’t look right, parts were black, so it wasn’t fresh and was on the verge of going of, I mentioned this to the waiter, who proceeded to tell me it was ok, I persisted I wasn’t happy so they went and changed it, they came back asked if everything else was ok, I mentioned that I’d paid extra for the bread and there wasn’t a lot. They went away came back and put the bread on the table and stormed off. I was happy to leave it at that, but once I’d finished my meal persisted to ask if everything else was ok, I didn’t really want to say anything, but they persisted so I explained I was disappointed but they again didn’t seem to appreciate the feedback, I have to say the coffee was really nice, I would try it again, may have just been a bad day.

Expensive. £6.50 for one very small kofta on a stick that was pretty tasteless .... very poor.

This is the first time I've visited this place. I went in with a friend of mine for breakfast which was very disappointing first of all the size of the breakfast for the price definitely not worth £10 plus when you get a fried egg and it's not cooked properly along with a poached egg all I can say is the chefs need to retrain I will definitely not be visiting here again disappointing to say the least

I come here every morning, I get 5 egg whites each morning, I get told no in a lot of places, no questions asked at residence I just walk in and get asked “ the usual” thanks to Eleanor and Nathan today for serving me and having a chat.

The food was great and i especially like the sundae.The staff were so nice and the place felf very comfy.Overall the place was very good and i was very pleased with the food.I highly recommend going there!<3

Went to the cafe part, next door to the main place, for brunch. The food was magnificent! The staff even coped with me having a hissy fit (not their fault at all - just me having a bad day). Would recommend this place to everyone 👍

I've visited twice in the last few weeks and cannot fault the place. Plenty of meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. I've had the homemade warm banana bread (which is delicious), the residence granola and the residence avocado on toast - ALL very tasty! Staff have always been very friendly and I've managed to get seated with my dog both times. Making this my local breakfast spot from now on.

Popped in here on spec last Sunday morning for a late breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Had to wait maybe 15 mins for a table as the place was very busy (obviously very popular) but the staff got us in as soon as possible and we ordered 4 different breakfast options, all of which were very good... Would definitely visit again 👍

My wife and I are regulars here, we eat in and order delivery. It's become our go to during the day. The food is fantastic quality, i'm always amazed when my poached eggs still have perfect yolks on delivery. The staff a super friendly, the coffee is great, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Definitely pop by if you haven't tried it before.

As good as a breakfast can get! Service was good, the interior was nice as well but we chose to sit outside. Only thing is that parking was a bit difficult to find as it was so busy, but that's not on the café.
