Used to enjoy the food here - varied but down to earth - but it's become too fancy. I am very much enjoying my Wednesday dinner here at the Brown Cow. The staff are lovely, excellent portions and good drinks. I enjoyed the burger and will be back to try the linguine. Fulham prices but a girls gotta drink. Highly recommend.

Below Average - Very Unsatisfying and Disappointing. Having heard good things, I visited with three friends yesterday. While the service was good, the food was extremely disappointing. The roast consisted of just two roast potatoes, half a parsnip, a small pile of bland, wet, and barely edible greens, and what I can only assume was carrot and swede mash—completely flavourless. The Yorkshire pudding was standard, the beef was chewy and tasteless, and everything sat in a lake of bland gravy. Additionally, my friend found a long black hair in his food. The manager did remove it from the bill, which was appreciated, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Another friend ordered the butternut squash and black bean tostada, and from what I heard, that was just as bad. The only redeeming quality was the friendly service from the waitstaff. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for such a disappointing meal and is not enough to make me want to return. We all left unsatisfied, the bill was expensive, and it didn’t feel like good value for money.

We realised when we arrived that the table reserved for us was in a rather noisy part of the restaurant, so asked if it would be possible to move to a quieter table. We were accommodated immediately, the staff were friendly and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday roast.

We visited The Brown Cow in Fulham yesterday with the family for a Sunday roast, and it was fantastic. The beef was perfectly cooked, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his tasty and generously sized chicken. The potatoes were also perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. Simply put, it was the best roast we've had in London. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!

We went for sunday lunch after a friend recommended to us, starters were very nice we got focaccia and squid, but the top was the sunday roast, potato crispy and fluffy, roast beef cook to perfection and the gravy was really yummy, service was spot on just like the food! thanks everyone we’ll come back for sure

Brought some friends here for the first time and it was such great experience! Food was amazing, service was brilliant and the atmosphere was such good fun! We had drinks and dinner, we had steaks and they were perfection, all the staff were so lovely. Can’t recommend it enough, such a lovely pub!

The pub is nice and cozy. However, if you want to order a vegetarian Sunday roast, you may be told that it’s sold out. Lovely staff.

Popped in here for a burger and a beer. The burger was delicious. One of the best I’ve had in a while. Love the refreshed decor and the staff were lovely.

Had the Sunday roast chicken, and was very disappointed. My partners looked lovely but mine was a poor cut of meat and half of it was blackened bones! To be fair to the waiter, I mentioned it after finishing my meal, and they kindly brought me some chicken breast on its own with some gravy - but this did make chuckle as I had already finished! So I kindly declined it. Either way, if I’m spending £100+ on a Sunday lunch I expect some chicken breast not the off cuts! The roast potatoes were also very clearly from the day before. Overall very disappointing for the price tag…

¡Tuvimos una deliciosa comida en The Brown Cow anoche! Mis padres estaban de visita, así que reservé una mesa para cenar y disfrutar de la música en vivo a partir de las 9 ish. Empezamos con vieiras y calamares, ambos se veían y sabían muy bien. La porción de vieira era más grande de lo esperado, y el pudín negro añadido era una buena ventaja! Para la alimentación principal, teníamos merluza y almejas — pescado cremoso, perfectamente cocinado con excelentes adiciones como samphire (aunque no estaba seguro sobre la piel de pollo crujiente — realmente no era necesario). Mis padres tenían el filete y el curry de lentejas, ambos bien cocinados, bellamente presentados y generosamente divididos. Todo lavado con un par de botellas de pinot G! De postre, compartimos los donuts tiramisú y biscoff, ¡ambos deliciosos! El servicio era impecable — todo llegó rápidamente, y nos revisaron atentamente sin que se sintiera intrusivo. Era bastante ruidoso (como era de esperar en un viernes por la noche), pero nos encantó el ambiente mojado. Definitivamente vale la pena el dinero, y los nuevos elementos del menú están bien pensados. Bien hecho, BC — ¡volveremos pronto!

We made a booking for dinner but were running a little late, the receptionist was very helpful and changed our table booking. We arrived to a buzzing atmosphere and although we had to wait for our drinks and food ( given the staff were rushed off their feet) The vibe was very welcoming! I opted for one of the special offerings of fish , my chargrilled mackerel was delicious with a side serving of vegetables and my husband had the scotch egg and clams and all the dishes were wonderful!! We were told that the Sunday roasts are amazing so we would be certainly be returning.

Excellent, thoughtful service and excellent atmosphere. The food looked appetizing, but to be honest it was pretty bland. Especially the vegetables, they had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I enjoyed my experience but I won't be back.

Siempre una bienvenida amable de la dirección y el personal atentos.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Brown Cow and I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience. The service was impeccable: the staff was courteous, attentive and always ready to satisfy our every request with a smile. But the real surprise was the cuisine, which turned out to be simply wonderful. Each dish was an explosion of flavours, prepared with the freshest, highest quality ingredients. The presentation of the dishes is taken care of down to the smallest detail, and each course was a delight for the palate. A gastronomic experience that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience an evening of good food and impeccable service.

Perfectly fine atmosphere nice staff but £18 for a martini seems a bit crazy. £12-15 is standard at nice London venues these days but £18 is a bit ridiculous. Even at Dukes, in Mayfair, the home of the Martini, and a place where they can charge as much as they like it is £16.95 so I would suggest £18 is a bit steep for an average Fulham martini

Superb pub, typical of Butcombe. Delightful decor, excellent service. Atmosphere was slightly lacking simply because it was mid-morning on Boxing Day and obviously few others were venturing out. Will certainly return.

Really lovely buzzing pub. Lots of things off the menu though which was surprising for 6pm on a Thursday near Christmas so sadly couldn't have my first choice dish. Also had to send back my crab linguine as had no flavour but the waiter was very accommodating and when it came back it was delicious with a lot more crab meat!

REALLY poor Sunday roast for the second time in a matter of months. It's a real shame because it's a lovely pub and I go often. But the veg is cold, the Yorkshire's are rubbery, potatoes have been under a heat lamp for god knows how long, and the cuts of beef were mostly rind. Pretty sure loads of dishes are plated ahead of time, because the roast is put in front of you within five minutes of ordering it. It is a complete waste of money. Stick to a pint and fish and chips if you visit.

Lo bueno fue excelente - y un montón de ella. Excelente carta de vinos - opciones junto a la jarra un buen toque también. El personal es muy amable y atento. Muy recomendable!

Great food and drinks,Francesco was lovely and allowed us to have the table a lot longer than our booking ! The only reason I didn’t give 5* overall is because there are no baby changing facilities and when you have a 9 week old baby it’s quite essential! Also no accessible loo.

Nicely decorated place and friendly staff, but TERRIBLE food. We had the Christmas menu. Pigs in blanket were cold inside, I suspect they've been microwaved. Crab pasta was overcooked and tasteless. Friend's ravioli was not good. The scotch egg however was very good, breaded outside was crispy, pork was juicy and went well with the chutney. And good Bloody Mary. Generally not worth the money.

Such a warm & friendly neighborhood spot where kids & pups are welcome. Atmosphere was super cozy, beautifully decorated for the holidays, and just lively enough to make it feel like a night out without being overly loud. Francesco was a great host, and the waiters were very attentive!

What a fabulous vibrant atmosphere. Loved this place, decorated beautifully, cosy , great food and the service was outstanding by our two servers and the maitre’de who went above and beyond to bring our table forward 2 hours on very busy evening. Would definitely come back

Booked for Sunday lunch - 12.45-2.45. Was promptly seated and orders taken by lovely staff member. Carvery was disappointing - one dinner was swimming in gravy and pork tasted like it had been reheated. After eating we were made to feel under pressure to leave and the manager informed us that the table was booked for another sitting at 1.45, even though we'd a booking until 2.45. Won't be back. Sunday lunch should be relaxed and within an hour we were made to feel we'd outstayed!

Best Pub I have ever been to. The food was amazing, from tipical to the usual, every dish very well done, congratulations to the chef. Service on point, loved our waiter, Francesco, very educated, happy, nice, and professional. It was a very nice atmosphere, I came with family and it was a wonderful experience, and I'm sure it would be with friends as well, the decorations alone already makes you fall in love with the pub. It's the perfect place to socialize, have a drink or even a nice "home cooked" like meal, all in a very cozy and welcoming environment, also like home, super worth it. I definitely recommend it.

Nice place, and the roast was good, not spectacular. The beef was excellent, but potatoes, veg, and Yorkshire pudding were under par. Cost is on the expensive side, £80 for two roast dinners and two drinks.

Had a beef Sunday Roast and it was pretty good! A bit chewy at points but overall tasty, the chicken my girlfriend had was super juicy so the food is good regardless, service amazing and very very nice gastropub

Not very impressed with having to wait an hour and 10 minutes for my food. I understand it was a Friday night and the pub was busy, but a warning from staff that food would take a long time would’ve been appreciated. Eventually everyone else at my table got their food after an hour, but I had to wait a further 10 minutes for my crab linguine to arrive! Despite me insisting they start eating, out of politeness most of my party waited until my food arrived to eat and by that time their food was cold. I was really disappointed by my meal. Could barely locate any crab meat or taste the chilli that was supposed to be in it. Really flavourless and underwhelming dish. Would not recommend, especially not at a price of £22 which is a complete rip off. However, my husband’s steak & chips was really good, so I obviously just made a poor menu choice!
