Apareció al pasar quedándose cerca y buscando algo de comida por la noche. Gran comida (tenía verde tailandés) servicio de primera clase de la señora detrás de la barra. Gran ambiente y música. Traeré a mis amigos aquí la próxima vez. 👍🏼

Entré en el bar ayer a eso de las 9. 50 pm. Estuvo en el bar durante varios minutos y no apareció personal. Nos fuimos ya que obviamente no están interesados en servir a los clientes. Regresó unos minutos después y la persona del bar había llegado y estaba hablando con lo que obviamente era un habitual. Total falta de interés. Ver foto.

Visito Londres dos veces al año y siempre me quedo cerca de la Torre de Londres. Siempre visito al Oso Pardo. El propietario es tan amable que me siento como si fuera mi local, aunque vivo a 200 millas de distancia. El precio de las bebidas es genial y me encanta la vibra del lugar. ¡No puedo esperar a volver en diciembre para mi próxima visita!

Jueves 13 de junio de 2024 tarde, yo y un sobrino estábamos en El Oso Pardo y como ninguno de los fumadores nos horrorizamos al encontrar que a un cliente suyo se le permitió fumar un cigarrillo electrónico dentro del local en detrimento de todos los demás.

Visited this traditional local pub a couple of times during our stay nearby. Friendly chatty staff. Great for watching football. Did serve food although never saw any menus.

I visited the Brown Bear in Lemon Street for the first time in March 1974. Just by chance, by booking a Sunday Bottomless Brunch at the Running Horse, and with the help of Google Maps, I noted how close we were to the Brown Bear. So along with 5 close friends we visited the establishment on Sunday 11th February. The Pub is full of character and very friendly staff, one of them being from Ystrad Mynach, which is only 6 miles from where we live in Wales. Where we didn’t eat there, the quality of the Guinness was superb. If your ever in the Aldgate East area, the Brown Bear is well worth a visit.

When the bartender didn't even know if the kitchen was open, we should have taken the hint. We ordered chicken filet burger, pad thai and fish'n'chips. In the relatively long wait for food, we noted the the beer selection was on the small side and that the toilets were disgusting. Entertainment was ensured by watching one bartender teaching the other how to pour Jägermeister into shots glasses. First came the food, second the cutlery and finally the question among us: how do they expect us to eat burger or fish using just fork and spoon? How about a knife!? Anyway, those are all minor problems, since the actual food was a terrible experience. Pad thai and fish was ok but not great at all. The fries were very bad being cold, soggy and unsalted. The chicken filet was a disgrace filling less than half of the burger. The taste sas so horrible that there was no possible way of finishing it despite the size. Gross! I can't recommend.

I’ve visited this place a number of times and always found it to be a lovely old traditional pub. I actually didn’t notice until this visit that they actually do food. What I do find to be unacceptable is the toilets. No hot water, no toilet seat, no soap, and no paper towels or hand dryer that works. Totally and utterly unacceptable when you are serving food and I’d hate to see the kitchen if you can’t even look after a decent toilet. Bar staff clearly not bothered about serving loud obnoxious regulars who are that drunk that can barely stand and sit there vaping in the middle of the pub. Nice place to have a drink but in need of a deep clean, toilets need sorting and regulars should have a bit more respect for others. I certainly wouldn’t be ordering food until they sort the toilets out.

Wonderful pub, lovely service. Ordered two burgers and chips with soaked up the alcohol from the night before 😂 Me and my friend were very impressed with the service.

Great pub, traditional English pub. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Decent prices, and good drinks. We didn't eat but the food looked really nice, and again a good price. Hope to return.

We tried Pad Thai today and surprised that it was just as good as a better Thai restaurant. This delicious dish was enough lunch for my wife and me.

After a 30 hour trip from Australia we checked into our nearby motel and headed straight to the pub! Welcomed with a smile by Cal who helped us work out what to drink... Next night back again and a few more drinks were had. 3rd night, we were basically locals and treated as such! The Publican (Rob), Lovely Cal and Reiss were bloody Amazing hosts :) Great pub, clean, tidy, Dart board, TV's and great music!

First visit to this pub. Wanted to visit as seen it on a tv programme and close to a restaurant we were going to for a meal latter. The staff really friendly and welcoming . Nice choice of beers and real ales. Quality of beer really good. Would recommend for an enjoyable visit. We attended in the afternoon and was not busy.

This is our 'go-to' place whenever we are in London, and it never fails to delight! Great 'local' pub, never gets too busy and the staff are brilliant! Often get chatting to the local bar proppers to and its just a great night, great beer and good prices too

My family and I stumbled on this local pub close to where we were staying on a recent vacation. We ate dinner there twice as a family, and my wife and I spent several evenings there for a quick drink. There is a wide Thai menu to go with all the British regulars. The sausage and mash was especially good. The beer selection was on the small side, but they were all good. Lots of locals stopped by after work, and it calmed down later in the evenings. The staff were all very helpful, even recommending other good places to eat (like the burger joint that is literally hidden in an alley next door). I wish we had more evenings to relax there.

Dropped in for drinks and dinner before going to the Wilton nearby. This is a busy pub full of after work drinkers and regulars. But service was great as was both the Thai and English food. At least three real ales on tap and in great condition., there may have been another but we only tried three.

I came here with some friends after we were let down at a bottomless brunch. They were so accommodating with very friendly staff, and a kind owner. I would definitely recommend going here for any occasion.

Landed in the typical London boozer by chance trying to find an underground station ended up having a few pints. Very friendly staff social distancing in place and clean seating and toilets. Typical London prices but made to feel welcome

Really well kept beer, kept well by a really well caring landlord. Enjoyed by a clearly loyal local following, but welcoming to all. They have a short menu of Thai & British classics, all well done crowd pleasers. Old school and all the better for it.

I took my girlfriend here yesterday after going to the Jack the Ripper Museum. It’s a charming little “London boozer” style pub that hosted a friendly barmaid. Definitely worth popping in if you’re in the area.

Popped out for a couple of quiet pints whilst the family watched crappy TV in the hotel room, and the nearest local to the hotel was The Brown Bear. Enjoyed a couple of pints of Adnams, served well, and with a cheery bit of chat...

Definitely a hidden gem. A broad range of craft brews, lots of space. In Leman street, so close to the City, but still seems more like a local boozer. They also do very good (and super-cheap) Thai food.

Fo had location through trip advisor rating while searching for Thai food. Great prices for great tasting Thai and cool beer! Quit loud and busy atmosphere.

Really pretty good food for a pub and a decent selection of real ales too. Some interesting other places nearby. A little area of London. Not too chainey.

Great spot for some beer and food. Not expensive. Good atmosphere and the lady at the bar is nice. They have a dog that seems to be very well behaved and roams like he owns the place.

Called in for a beer and to use the free wi-fi. It is a typical London pub, no frills. Service was good.

So the barmaid is more interested in smoking out the front than she is in serving customers. If the owners read this you should sack her. She doesn't care. The bare minimum when you are hiring people should be 'care'.

This is a good place for after work drinks or a boozy lunch, have visited many times and service is always good.

Typical English pub, slightly dusty and comfortable, with good selection of ales and delicious Thai food. Good prices for the area and very friendly lady behind the counter.

This is my least favourite of the pubs in the area. The service isn't particularly friendly or efficient and the pub itself is beginning to look like it is overdue for either a spring clean or a refurb. If this were the only pub open...

Popped in one evening and ordered thai food and found it great. Good real ale too! All they need to do is turn down the 80s music and you have a perfect venue for a night out!

Fantastic night, great jukebox and friendly staff! Met with a few friends and had a great night, ended up leaving with more friends than when I arrived!!
