Very friendly clients and good quality beer. I was looking for a friendly chatty atmosphere where me and the wife could chill and this was perfect.

If you are local, or visiting then go no further for good beer and company than this place. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and unlike the other local pubs the service is a very rapid, yet personal experience. Highly recommended

The Brook is a friendly pub with a good range of real ales that seem to be kept well. The pub boasts teams in the local bar billiards and pool leagues and there is a lively atmosphere on match nights. Dogs are always welcomed with a treat and well-behaved children are encouraged to get involved with the pub games sometimes receiving coaching from the landlord if he is not too busy.

Hired the Strawberry Teapot for Afternoon tea on Sunday 1st for my uncle’s 80th birthday. Was a breeze to organise. India and the staff were helpful with allergies and vegetarianism and the food was lovely! A delicious afternoon tea at The Strawberry Teapot combined with a trip down the river with the lovely people at the Stour River Trust made for a perfect day! Thank you!

The Street, ShotleyWe went to the campground out back, it was great massive field and only cost 5 quid for two nights with power and Wi-Fi! Excellent would go there again

Bourne Hill, WherstedWe chose the Lodge for my dad's 80th birthday celebrations. We could not have chosen anywhere better. There were 22 of us. The food was amazing, service impeccable and the Staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We will definitely return, as will so many of the first timers in the party. A real hidden gem
