Had a little time to kill before getting the ferry and found this gem of a coffee shop. So glad we did - great coffee, great service, just a shame we didn't have time for a bite to eat, the cakes looked v.tempting. Had a chat with the friendly owner too, just a shame we live so far away or this would be our regular coffee shop go to.

We visited Browns Hill steps as my husband grew up near there and used to play right where the cafe outdoor seating now sits. The staff were kind and friendly, and the lattes excellent and in good-sized mugs. Though set back from the river by a block, the outdoor seating is an absolute sun-trap with a convivial vibe (we enjoyed a number of conversations with other visitors) on our trips for morning coffees.

We spent the day in Dartmouth having come across on the Kingswear ferry. Too many places were charging too much for sandwiches but eventually we came across this great little cafe with nice coffee, tea and great toasties. All at sensible prices. The cafe was exceptionally clean and nice service too. If we were going to Dartmouth again then we’d definitely go to this cafe again.

A very good find. A small independent cafe serving good coffee and a small selection of tasty snacks for lunch including homemade soup and sour dough toasted sandwiches with interesting fillings. The proprietor was personable and friendly. Absolutely worth another visit.

We loved this cafe, a little hidden but close to the market. We were babysitting our little grandson and hoping to find somewhere quiet for a snack lunch. This was absolutely perfect. The proprietress was friendly and accommodating, though we were lazy and stayed awhile for Jo to sleep. The food was good and the ambience very pleasant. I thoroughly recommend.

We found this lovely cafe whilst walking around Dartmouth on a wet, grey day and it was such a lovely place to spend time. A really pretty cafe, with indoor and outside tables, in a quiet corner near the covered market. Started and owned by a lovely woman from Birmingham, Rose, who was really welcoming and chatty and a great host. We ordered a coffee and croissant, as well as a tea and sourdough toast with jam and it was all delicious, particularly the tea, which cafes never get right but Rose did. It was also dog-friendly, which was helpful as we had ours with us! It was a really lovely place to spend time and I highly recommend it. There were lots of other choices on the menu too, such as panini, cake, avocado toast etc. Too many others to mention! Definitely go - it was really good.

Had dinner here with my partner. It’s a real locals pub but with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The steak and kidney pudding and lamb shank were both really tasty and very reasonable in price.
