Incredible Thai!!!!!! Best I’ve had in a while

After visiting for many years. This will be out last visit. Booked for Mother’s Day.. was able to book for 2pm. (We had no idea they close at 3, just booked one of the options available) got a confirmation via text asking to confirm which we did. Arrived and within min of sitting down we were bombarded with “we close at 3 so chose quickly” asked for our starters and mains, as we were eating was asking twice what we want for desert? We hadn’t finished when they started hoovering. Wasn’t even in the restaurant for a full hour! Disgusting service! However! Credit where it is due.. the food is still wonderful. Shame about the service: we also were not brought out change which we were owed.

Got this takeaway tonight. Worst Thai I have ever had in my life and we order Thai food once per week. Normally order from place in Christchurch but they were not taking takeaway orders tonight. This food was bland and not like Thai food at all. One piece of chicken was undercooked per photo. Then looked at older reviews and some other folks have gotten ill eating here. Avoid this place!

Had a lovely meal with family. Came back on our holidays, another tasty meal. Vegatable tempura, corn cakes and Tom Ka soup 🍲 (Like Tom Yum, but with coconuts). Mains (no pictures) Massaman curry, and Thai green veg curry 🍛 👍🏻😁 Finished off with some ice-cream desserts

Just had a takeaway. Could not believe the price. Ordered prawns on toast for starters, opened the box to find one slice of bread cut into four tiny triangles costing nearly £8.00! Just ridiculously overpriced! Also prawn dish nearly blew my head off, way too many chilli's 🌶 I was so looking forward to this meal but sadly very disappointed.

Beautiful restaurant with great food, reasonable prices, nice modern setting and genuinely friendly staff - if you like Thai food then try this place. If you've never tried Thai food, then this is a great place to start! Highly recommended.

Been to many authentic Thai restaurants and this competes with the best. Ordered a Gra Prow, Masaman and Satay chicken, all were bang on. Only minor criticisms were when i asked for our Gra Prow to be 'Thai hot' it came medium hot, but i suspect they dont get too many people who can handle the heat. The rice portions could also be bigger. Family friendly and tastefully decorated with friendly staff, definitely one of the best restaurants in the area and worth a visit.

Been here many times. The weeping tiger was excellent and rice and veg and stir fry very good. It was only after the main was cleared the 2 staff were stretched serving in the restaurant and delivery of take away meant we didn't have time for dessert and coffee.

Awful worst dinner we have had. Raw chicken rude staff and expensive

Lovely lunch. Their tapas lunch menu is varied and the portions are a perfect size to keep you going till dinner. The food is good and the restaurant is clean and well presented. We were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman who was attentive and happy. Will go again if we're in the area.

Very nice, shame this was at a holiday destination otherwise it might be a regular visit. Prices were on the higher side, more than an equivalent Chinese or Indian takeaway IMO, but I find all Thai restaurant/takeaways are so this was no different to others, just say that to bear in mind. Hopefully the 5* review says it all

Why 3 stars, food was ok but not outstanding. We are spoilt as we have a lovely Thai place near us and a lovely Thai restaurant in Tenerife we visit many times and they would blow you away. Nice decor but didn't quite do it for me. Service was nice

Food was excellent but the service was less than favorable. I must admit I was a little disappointed with my visit tonight. I think that the actual table service is so important for a good eating experience. Not sure whether I will be going back in the near future.

Ate here 3 years ago on our last visit to Milford on Sea. We ate here on Sunday evening, lovely food, fresh and very tasty. So good we had a takeaway Wednesday evening and the food was just as fresh and excellent, well cooked. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely recommend. We will eat here again without hesitation on our next visit.

Disappointing ! Went for meal at Brittany’s Thai in Milford which is very local to us and we have enjoyed over the years The food was lovely but the portion size has become so very small , but the prices have also gone up My husband had x 4 small pieces of chicken in his Curry , which is less than half than before in a very small bowl . My vegetable curry was very sparce of vegetables too . This , we find unacceptable and very disappointing To put up prices and hugely reduce portion size is not good And doesn’t encourage us to go back

Very tasty food and nice ambience.

It’s situated in the village. We booked a table for a Friday evening. Plenty of free parking but can be busy but there is street parking. It was fairly busy but the service was good. First we ordered drinks then looked at the menu. We had starters, I had Chicken Satay with the cashew nut sauce, very tasty. Then Tamarind Duck with extra plain noodles for the main, plenty of it & again delicious. We might have had room for a dessert as we did look at the menu but there wasn’t enough there to entice us. So we ordered coffees. I would return to try others on the menu, recommend if you like Thai.

Food is fantastic & served quickly, however, this was the second time we have been here (as locals) & been made to feel unwelcome & rushed! Google clearly states opening times until 10.30pm Friday & Saturday! We arrive just after 9 on both occasions, the first time requested we take away, to be told the kitchen closes at 10, which is fair enough it’s not taking us long to order & eat a main meal as only 2 of us..but then proceed to get the hoover out at 9.50pm whilst we are eating..very frosty reception as seems they only want the early bird trade & not those of us that work full time & like to eat a little later.. both occasions we were respectful & ordered only one drink so as we were not lingering but do not expect to be given the bums rush way before closing time.. disappointing as food is lovely but we will take out custom elsewhere next time.

The service is good and the food is excellent and on its own is worth 5 stars. However he decor is white and bland with bright down lights and lacks ambience. It's somewhere to go to eat, which is great if that's all you want, but we won't go back as for us there's more to dining out. I suggest the owners go to Christchurch and look at the Rising Sun for ideas.

The food was delicious. I am allergic to fish and seafood so didn't think I could eat here but I spoke to the staff and because everything is made fresh they made mine without using fish sauce. My partner said it was the best Thai meal he had had outside of Thailand. I would definitely recommend.

When is a Thai not (really) a Thai restaurant? When it isn't owned by people from Thailand. But they make quite a good fist at it. Not authentic but many Asian and even Italian restaurants and take-aways are owned by other nationalities. Good service but we weren't served by a Thai.

We had a simple £37 Take away for two but it was really disappointing.. Prawn Red Thai curry was £11.95, 6 small prawns served in a EXTRA TINY dish with no other veg than a few pieces of courgette! Papaya Salad was minute.. Pad Thai and rice was fine but we won’t be returning! (The squid starter was the only good thing).Krua Thai 88 New Milton is our usual and always fantastic!

The food was some of the nicest Thai we have had for a while, and it was ready for collection in only 20 minutes. Highly recommended.

We had a takeaway on Friday night,and could not fault the service . We were given a collection time and on arrival it was ready and waiting. Very clean and covid secure when you enter. Food was great lots of it and great taste. Lots of fresh vegetables. You have to have the squid as a starter ( if you are into fish of course)

Great lovely tasting food only one complaint only 6 prawns per dish so when sharing this is not much!!

We love this place the food is excellent so authentic and they cook the food exactly to our requirements and it’s always piping hot. We like things extra spicy and they never disappoint with added chillies. The prawn Tom Yum soup is amazing!! We look forward to another lovely takeaway very soon.

We ate here after a day exploring and kayaking so were starving. We had veg spring rolls to start and Thai fish cakes and satay chicken, all good portions and cleanly and well presented and plenty of it too. For mains we had a veg green curry and a hot duck Jungle curry ( extra hot ), all full of flavour and crisp bold vegetables. Washed down with a coupe of bottles of excellent red wine, we waddled off home happy. Perfect service, a bright and clean restaurant, another wonderful meal.

Came here on our first night away staying in Milford and dinner didn’t disappoint. Penang curry was lovely along with the duck spring rolls and chicken satay. Would definitely recommend, service was great too ☺️

The restaurant is well laid out and regulated for eating in a CV19 situation. The ambience is relaxing and staff friendly. The service is excellent and the food delicious. Good value for money.

We were not disappointed with the tamarind duck and the steamed sea bass on cabbage although didn’t think either were authentic Thai! They were both very nice dishes but I think for me the fried sea bass would have been a better option. The service was good and we would go again.

Stop scrolling. You’ve found the place to book. Incredible food. The most welcoming and friendly staff. We loved it so much we ate here two nights in a row - we wanted more of the menu! It’s quite possibly the best Thai food I’ve eaten in the UK. Next time I’m coming back to Brockenhurst for the Thai and not just the horses! (Although they’re very special too, but the Penang edges past them a little). Go for it, you will not be disappointed.

My husband and i had made an on line booking and after current changes to closure times of venues we received a call to bring forward the time of our booking. Service and food was first class.

Fab Service & Food. Booked for 6pm on an awful rainy Saturday thinking maybe there would be no atmosphere but couldn’t have been more wrong. Buzzy place, much better service than we have had in the past. Very attentive service and brilliant food. So lucky we are local.

i visited the Britannia Thai Restaurant with my wife on a short break to the coast .on arrival at the Restaurant we were greeted and shown to our table ,the dinning area is spacious bright and well decorated,the staff are very freindly and helpful.The food was very good i have visited Thailand many times and appreciate good thai food this restaurant,s food was very good , good portions and weĺ priced .

I have recently visited Britannia Thai twice in as many weeks and the food is unreal. The staff are all very nice and the restaurant is very clean and tidy! Highly recommend them

Food and staff were excellent but the restaurant was lacking atmosphere

Good service, great food, good ambience. And so busy. We had the duck spring rolls and salt and pepper squid to start. Followed by shared tamarind duck on crispy noodles (beautiful), Koong Ma Kham (so so tasty king prawn dish), coconut rice and vegetable pad thai. All Delicious.

Fabulous menu - really couldn’t decide what to choose. Table/chair height not compatible and it was uncomfortable to eat like that. Dishes plentiful but worked out quite expensive once you’ve added rice to your meal. Duck roll starters delicious. Duck in main meal hugely overcooked but sauce and veg delicious. Cutlery huge and not comfortable to eat with, especially the forks - felt like putting a spade in your mouth. Only given chopsticks when asked for them. COVID - well, not really any need for staff to be touching the cutlery to place it on the table, could have wrapped in napkin. Asked for a straw, brought by hand, not great. Toilet very clean but would benefit from a hook to hang bag/jacket.

Visited for dinner while away and was not disappointed! Authentic flavours in all of the dishes - as good as you would get in actual Thailand! Very friendly staff and great at accommodating for coeliacs.

The restaurant is very modern and well spaced out. Food portion sizes are good and there is an option as to how hot you would like your dish. Plenty of choice for drinks and we were not rushed to leave the table.

Had a really lovely meal here as usual for our belated anniversary. Food is so fresh and clean and you get what you pay for. Can’t recommend it enough. Good choice of dishes and you don’t have to wait long. I had squid to start which was very nice, just the right size portion and my husband had vegetable tempura which he was pleased to see back on the menu. Miss not having the prawn dish starter with the spicy salad. We had ginger prawn stir fry and prawn with oyster sauce for mains. Prawn pad Thai and coconut rice. Can’t fault it. Staff wearing masks which was nice, spacious inside. Only thing we would add was to put a bottle of sanitizer at the front for customers to use when entering. My husband who is ambulance service thought it would be a nice option to offer as we didn’t see one.

The restaurant is well equipped to offer customers a safe environment with the staff wearing face covering all throughout the service. Which must be uncomfortable and also a pity for the guest because Thais have such lovely smiles. Never mind, we were warmly received and the staff were polite, happy and helpful as always.The meal, however, was out of this world. My wife and I ordered a mixture of stir fry, curry and pad thai and every dish was gorgeous. The bill was a little pricey (worth every penny) but, being a Tuesday in August, Rishi helped out!We enjoyed a mini break in Milford on sea, ate out every night and this was the highlight. In fact, we're thinking of coming back to Milford for our anniversary on 11 November just to celebrate at The Britannia Thai. Book us a table for two please!

I was very impressed with both the quality of food and level of service.There was a slight mistake when we arrived over the booking being cancelled but this was rectified immediately and the staff were very apologetic for the error. The staff provided full information on which dishes were gluten free and there were plenty of options to chose from. The food arrived promptly and was full of flavour. All staff adhered to social distancing and sanitiser was available upon entry. Doors were open for ventilation and staff wore masks. One of the best meals out I have had in a long time and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Had a meal here on a Wednesday evening with my mum who has high expectations for Thai food. We were not disappointed with anything we ordered. Delicious satay and duck spring rolls to start follow3 by excellent Pad Thai and Sweet and Sour chicken. All delicious and we have rebooked. All at a bargain price with the “Eat out, help out” scheme.Highly recommend.

We’ve been here many times over the years and have just been for the first time this year after lockdown - it was even better than the usual high standard. Every dish was outstanding. Thank you!!

We had an excellent meal last night. Very welcoming staff, social distancing in place and everywhere very clean. The food was steaming hot, fresh and so tasty. The restaurant wasn’t busy so lacked a little atmosphere but I think later in the week it’s much busier. I highly recommend going to taste the wonderful food.

We had a very nice meal here last night, all very well prepared and tasty. The Covid precautions don't seem to have spoiled the atmosphere of the place either, even though the tables are well spaced.

First dinner since lock down measures eased and was simply amazing. Food was delicious, service speedy and friendly. Plus great value for money, we had three starters, two mains and rice with a soft drink and beer for around £25 per head. Would definitely recommend and will be returning!! Thank you for a lovely meal
