Wow so disappointing. Ordered special fish supper on a Friday. Called an order in for collection was told 5 - 10 mins. Arrived over estimated time and it wasn't ready. Had to wait a futher 10 minutes which okay they were busy. To be served cold chips and oily fish that was so thin the breadcrumbs held it together! Won't be visiting again. It really was like a breadcrumb supper because there was no fish

I ordered 2 single fish and 2 large chips on the evening of Friday 28th. When returning home and opening them, one of the fish was not freshly cooked, very dry and the batter was overcooked, burnt and looked like it had been under a hot light longer than it should have or fried more than once. I was unable to eat it as discarding the inedible batter, the fish was too dry to eat. This has happened several times now and I think that it is time I took my business elsewhere. I tried to submit this message to their website several times, but it wasn't accepted

When my husband was alive and our sons were small a visit to the Brig for our family was a wonderful treat. As my sons were visiting me they suggested treating me so off we went to the Brig (they wanted to go to the Rice Bowl next door), but I wanted my favourite ~ nothing fancy for me just chips and curry sauce. When I got into the car I just had to try one or two chips. .....They were so pale and undercooked . I marched straight back to the shop and told the lady at the counter that the chips were raw and I did not want them. In hindsight I should of asked for a refund and left it like that especially as someone was on the phone dealing with a customer complaint. However I agreed to wait as they cooked me some Crispy Chips. Finally I was advised that my Crispy Chips were ready . Wrapped up and handed to me I actually thought well mistakes happen and at least they had rectified my complaint (so I thought). When I got home I discovered how the Brig really deals with customer complaints. How extremely childish and immature can grown adults be ~ my crispy chips were in fact white and raw. Very sad to think that the Brig staff found this behaviour amusing. I certainly did not. First and last visit to this terrible so called fish and chip shop.

Ordered 2 single fish, onions and a portion of chips, onions ring were hard and cold so was the chips, the fish was ok but not that hot, delivery was double the estimated time and the food was disappointing

Ordered 2 fish suppers always enough for 2 adults and son but the taste was awful, it wasnt cod or haddock but cost me nearly £20, if they going to give pollock they should tell you, batter was really wet and chips were not fresh total waste of money. I, an idiot, ordered food for my friends and I to my own address while I was at a friend's. The delivery driver phoned me and I realised my mistake. The driver, a virtuous warrior of a man, heroically traversed the extra distance to deliver to my friend's house, surviving many perils and treacherous foes in the process. We received our order and our hunger was satisfied, but it was nothing compared to how satisfied we were with the delivery driver, top bloke.

Very poor , might even be dangerous. The fish smelled so bad, could not eat it. They refused to respond to concern and request for refund. Please don’t go there

Must be one of the worst chip shops in Dunfermline 4 different meals were ordered only thing they had in common was they were all crap. A friend phoned and ordered 3 ‘large’ chicken and shish kebabs. He got a fright went he was told £32, but hey the order was made so I went to collect. There was a big box but I wasn’t surprised when I saw how small the food was. I didn’t rate their pizzas on a previous visit and now I don’t rate their kebabs.

3rd time lucky, no such luck. 1st visit raw dough in the calzone, 2nd visit, soggy tastless fish. 3rd and defo final visit. Raw sausage. I did email them directly, but with no response I have decided to reflect here on TripAdvisor. Avoid at all cost.

I ordered the "Italian wings" which I'm pretty sure represent a formal declaration of war on the Italian Republic. I couldn't see the wings from the onions which were stewed in a tomato sauce made from, I'm quite certain, 2nd hand tomatoes. You would also need tweezers and a microscope to fish out the salmon in the pasta. I really am disappointed in myself for ordering pasta from a chippy and I only have myself to blame for thinking that was a good idea. Just get chips, or starve, or resort to unnecessary cannibalism before getting pasta or chicken from here.

Overpriced, poor quality and shocking service. There is a horrible old boot that works there and she clearly grates a lot of customers the wrong way having read these reviews. She has barked at me a few times as well. We live just over the road so its convenient but every time I go I swear its the last. The food is always average at best and its ridiculously overpriced.

Orders a chicken and dinner meat wrap, loaded fries, jalepeno poppers and brownies from this chippy on just eat. Delivery was fast but wrap smelt like dog food, couldn’t be eaten was actually disgusting, my partner had one bite and was gagging. The smell was horrible. The loaded fries were freezing cold on the top and soggy and limp was actually just a soggy bland mess. The bottom of the paper box was covered in greasy oil. With loaded fries I expected melted cheese, onione and tomatoes but it was a very bland disgusting orange cheese sauce random chunks of watery tomatoe and a tiny bit of sour cream. I ordered a tub of garlic mayo as well but it was actually just like watered down salad dressing. Vile. The jalepeno poppers were soggy and bland, the exact same as you can buy from Costco but As if they were half cooked and left sitting.... not a bit of crunch in them. Could have done a better job myself. The brownies on the website were describes as coming with a side of cream and I at least expected them to be hot.... they were freezing almost brick hard obviously shop bought and in a flimsy plastic container stuck to each other. When I asked about the missing cream I was advised that this was an issue with just eat and that just eat have put the wrong information on the site. Very matter of fact and rude if that was the case I would at least expect a courtesy call from them when I placed my order to explain this. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very rude to begin with and quite argumentative. I asked for a refund and collection of food so that they can see for themselves how horrible the food was and was told that the manager is not actual in store and he would need to accept my request at a later date?????? I spent almost £30 on this horrible mess and then to be treated rudely on the phone. Customer service is not a strong point here and I can’t actually believe the cheek to be rude to someone after serving them sub standard food.... would not recommend to anyone and will actually advise people not to go. I have never had such a bad experience! So dissapointed and now hangry!

Food is decent, nothing special and very expensive for what it is (chip shop) waiting time can be quite long. Has gluten free pasta but don’t do any other types of gluten free food which is a shame as they have the space to cater for this allnit would take is small separate fryer and gluten free pizza based cooked on a pan or tin foil.

Used to love this chippy, pricey but a darn good piece of fish with your chips. Times have changed it seems. Better buck up their ideas or I won’t be back.

Called into the Brig and placed my order, when I got home an item in my order was wrong... so I phoned them up and they admitted they got my order mixed up with another customer. They asked me to return to the shop for my correct order ( meanwhile the rest of the food that was correct in the order was getting cold whilst I returned to the shop ) I returned to the shop to pick up the item that had been missing from order and when I got home it was the wrong item again!!! I phoned them up again and they tried to say that I ordered the wrong item!!!! They then eventually agreed to deliver the missing item out... ( which took over an hour) after 5 mins they called me back to tell me to pack up the 2 wrong orders and return them to the delivery driver.... which I did ( not sure what the food standard Agency would think about this!!) this place has absolutely DISGUSTING customer service and to be honest their food isn’t that good either! I will NEVER order from this place again... I would never recommend this dump to anyone...

Not an award I would dish out lightly, but it staggers me why anybody would go to this place more than once. I have done so myself, thinking the second time couldn't be any worse than the first but it somehow was.Horrific badly cooked chips and batter that feels like it's been done in the rain rather than a fryer. First time - King Rib Supper - both myself and my daughter were ill with stomach cramps within a short while of eating. Second time (haggis and sausage) cramps would have been impossible because I didn't eat enough, horrible as it was.Shake my head in bewilderment every time I see a big queue at this place. Can only presume people either have really bad taste in chips or its their first (and last) visit.

Been here a couple of times and it is nothing brilliant and a tad more expensive than most chippies. Last night I had the fried pizza supper and single king rib. The pizza was fine but the chips were a bit soggy and the batter on the king rib was really soggy and I had to pull most of it off. Probably won’t be back.

A popular chippy in dunfermline who do a great kebab, upon entering the shop it’s quite confusing where to stand it’s a bit of a free for all, I always order over the phone to collect from the shop but even when going into the shop you never know where to go to collect.

Ordered on line and after an extra half hour had been added it still arrived twent minutes late and food was cold. Reheating a sausage supper is not a good idea

We stopped off on our annual trip for fish suppers and found them nearly as good as usual, possibly marred due to a five mile trip back to our cottage.

Living nearby this chip shop and being disappointed numerous times we continually say we will never use this place again but due to the convenience we have. Today is now 100% the last time we will. Firstly the staff and the service is terrible.....i don't thibj my order has ever been right regardless of mentioning this to them everytime I return.....how difficult is it to put garlic sauce on a wrap instead of chilli? Turns out very as I always end up with both or just chilli despite telling them they always get it wrong they continue to do so. Had a kebab twice from here and both times it was terrible.....dry cold pitta bread with a portion of salad and donner meat beside it....who wants a DIY kebab? Chip shop side of it is not much better, whilst the chips are good I have never had anything else that you would class as edible. Soggy, mushy, chewy batter covering substandard quality food. Overall this place really is terrible and price wise it is on the expensive side compared to others in the area. Charged £4.75 for cold chips and cheese? Will not be tempted to return and I would advise others to do the same.

Absolutamente horrible, ordenar a través de comer solo y llegó media hora después de dicho tiempo (después de 20 minutos en el restaurante añadiendo tiempo original). Conductor de la entrega no podíamos esperar para deshacerse de la comida sin decir una palabra, casi como el sabía que era de mala calidad. Budín de patatas crudas en cena de pollo rojo y extremadamente seco y casi incomible. La única razón por la que no devolver el pedido es porque estábamos muy hambrientos y no esperar al menos otro 50 minutos. Mala relación calidad-precio en general como el Brig es una de las tiendas chip más caro en la ciudad, pero solía tener la mejor calidad, no sé si la gerencia y el personal se han convertido en tanto soso. No había usado por un tiempo y que pasará mucho tiempo antes de usarlo otra vez (si alguna vez). Apreciar que es la tienda Nethertown Broad Street en comer solo pero el Brig merece las recomendaciones.

Esta es la segunda vez que he escrito un comentario normalmente no esta pero de nuevo decepción y esperamos casi 2 horas para un Kebab de pollo. Realmente y me dijeron que son muy concurridos y la orden no se ha enviado aún se 20 minutos. Esta fue la necesidad de una amplia calle netherton para averiguar quién es el dueño? Pidió la comida en 6. 45 y ahora es 20. 25 todavía no aquí todavía. Este es aceptable!

Pedimos comida en 7. 00:00 no llego hasta el 8. 50h, los artículos mal pic y parecía como si la comida había sido manipulado, también era de piedra fría y kebabs como caucho, la pizza era terrible y patatas fritas frías. Tome mi consejo, ya que es muy honesta estancia lejos de este lugar. . Niveles muy pobres de un establecimiento de comida rápida.

I ordered my food through the on line order form and when the food arrived half of it was missing , I contacted the shop and was informed that the driver had forgotten to take it , I was told they would send the driver back with the rest of my order which they did , half an hour later, when I asked if the food was hot I was told yes it was but when I checked it was stone cold , I will never order food from them again

This is an excellent take away. Highly recommended. Very clean flavours. Immaculate shop. The staff are excellent.

Han pasado dos años desde mi última revisión de la Brigue, pero durante el período que he permanecido "bastante" al cliente, no regular porque tengo ningún interés personal o porque es el más cercano a mi casa chips, porque hay al menos otros tres establecimientos más cerca o de distancia, pero porque la equitativa la comida es excelente y siempre he encontrado el servicio eficiente y amable.

Delivery is horrendous food quality very poor,cold and incorrectly packed.this place has gone downhill very fast.There is other places that are by far better service and quality and cheaper.Do not waste your money as the food they cook is crap and tasteless.

Definetely getting worse. Done know if they just don't care or are arrogant!Service is hit and miss, but they do have a wide range of food on offer. Abbeyfry is cheaper and does better chips.Ordering system is a mess and chaotic when busy.Pizza is hit and miss. Kebab wasn't too bad but not a lot of meat.Parking is horrendous and getting out onto the main road is a pain.

Being a life long loyal customer of the brig, hadn't tried it in a while so decided to get a pizza delivered, to say it was disappointing is an under statement it was awful I requested a thin base talk about thin n chewy instead also asked for cheese on top of the Donna meat they couldn't even get that correct, so all in all terrible Defo won't be back in a hurry and for the prices they charge I would of expected so much better!!!!!

Alway went out my way to the brig for a doner kebab you couldn't beat it ! Had one tonight and firstly it smelled funny , opened it up and meat looked different , it was chewy which never had chewy doner meat, had to spit it it out quite a few times as big chunks of fat in it , called them they didn't seem to care and have admired they changed supplier , clearly a cheaper product won't be back

Cuando se pulsa en la comida cuando sería entregado de nuevo avisar que no podía decir. Appalling order process. If there is one. Decent range of food, though quite expensive. Especially for kebabs. Can't comment on the pizza quality. A lot of fried options including calamari, which was like eating deep fried rubber.They take cards and there are plenty of drink options.Getting in and out of the car park can be entertaining when busy. There are better chippies in town.

Excellent food and service, all staff very friendly, very fast delivery. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend.
