Rinaldi's Fish Bar in Fife

I stopped in on Friday night for fish supper and a sausage supper. The chips were very nice the sausage was freshly cooked and my son really enjoyed it. But unfortunately my fish was very dry as all the fish is cooked in advance and sits there dehydrating . It may speed up the service but it most definitely did not make it enjoyable to eat. Please cook to order it will get you much more repeat business. Also this is the second time I paid for pickled onions but didn’t get any in the box. If I go back I will be insisting on freshly cooked fish.

This was always our go to chippy. GO TO being the word because our delivery on Friday was not good. All needed reheating, the chips were soggy and the bottom of the boxes were dark grey with oil. A really poor experience. I did try to contact the shop but was unable to

absolutely ridiculous sending out food burt black on one side of chipsteak. ehite pudding so overcooked it was nearly a blackpudding chip roll with burt chips. almost full order binned. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP

This is our go to for a really good chippie.Other half loves the fish n chips,cooked fresh as you order.Who else has deep fried onion pizza.chips are chunky and delicious.Staff are so nice.couldnt ask for nicer oeople.Always busy and you could eat your dinner off the floor.clean as a whistle.

The best fish supper bar none. Wish this was our local chippy, but we visit whenever we are in Kirkcaldy. Never been disappointed with the quality or quantity for the price. Cooked to perfection every time we’ve been. Staff nice and friendly although under pressure as it’s a busy wee place. Do like the locals, buy here and drive down to Pathhead Sands to eat them beside the sea. Fab.

On way home from work was going home to an empty house n didnt want to cook so stopped in here. Cooked fresh to order fish supper which was delish and so much of it i couldn't finish it. Must visit

Delicious fish and chips, one of the best I've ever had. Crispy batter with flaky fish inside. Perfect fried homemade chips, no soggy at all. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and dedicated to providing the best service for their customers. Overall, I can't recommend Rinaldi's Fish Bar enough, you won't be disappointed!

Everything freshly cooked with nice crisp batter.

Disgusting piece of reheated fish, even the seagulls turned their beaks up at it, the waste bin was none to pleased to receive it either.

Had a delivery from here tonight. 1 fish supper, 1 single fish, portion of fritters and golden crunch. Golden crunch was missing from order, chips were soft and tasteless, fritters cut way too thick and undercooked and fish was totally overcooked and very dry. Extremely bad experience. Used to recommend this place to everyone hadn’t been for a while and it has went severely downhill based on this evening’s experience.

Hands down.... Best chippy in Kirkcaldy!....was great under Gordon & Anne but still the same under new owner too. Chipsteak supper... Delish!

Best place in kirkcaldy to go for a chippy. Portions aren't the biggest but are of better quality. None of the dross crispy bits and half cut chips. You can order online to click and collect too, saves standing in the queue.

Fish is a must!! Not too long a wait.. pleasant service and very clean

Lovely staff,fantastic fish,crispy light batter and good chips,puts a certain famous chippy in Anstruther to shame ,the large fish supper fed both of us,we are from West Yorkshire and know decent fish and chips,my dad had a very well known chippy for a lot of years,I'm picky about my fish and chips

Have used Rinaldis for a while now, most Fridays we order. Was very disappointed recently to find the paper still on my spicy haggis inside the batter, put me right off.

Such a great experience every time I am buying from this Fish Bar. Always feel so welcome, shop is so clean and the fish is freshly cooked. I highly recommend. My son loves the kids meal and my wife is addicted to their scampi's. Best fish and chips in Kirkcaldy!

A quick stop by Rinaldi's to grab a bite to eat on my travels. Immaculately clean shop. Perfectly cooked special fish supper, crisp, freshly prepared and piping hot. This chippie could teach many others what a great fish supper should taste like.

Always first class service and always with a smile and such friendly, family feeling around the shop the moment you step in.If fish was any fresher it would still be out swimming before it was even caught !!!! Nothing is too much of an effort and I have been helped to extreme on many occasion .I use crutches as have a disability and instead of just the usual " Do you want a bag?" It's " Come on ,let me carry that to the car for you ,no problem ,I hope you enjoy!" Totally love these guys ,couldnt ask for more from a chip shop..Always leave within a smile in my pocket!!!!

Best chip shop in Kirkcaldy. Had many deliveries and haven't been disappointed with the service. Had the fish last night and was delicious and the batter was crispy mmmmmm 😋. Would definitely recommend this fish bar to everyone. Keep up the good work Gordon and your lovely polite staff 👍🏻👍🏻

Great place food always fresh and tasty

Best fritters and red puddin in the toon. Fish is also up there too. Love aw the wee crispy bits of batter in the box aswell. Hard chippy to beat .

Best chippy in Kirkcaldy by a long way.

We turned up 30 minutes before closing (I think it closed at 9.00, maybe check). They cooked our fish and chips totally fresh and it was absolutely excellent. Also, they were very helpful when we were asking for somewhere to go to eat it , not far from a nice sea shore. Not far, in a car that is. Anyway, a very good fish and chips experience!

We had wonderful fish and chips last night, the owner is a great guy, we had forgot our juice and he took time out to bring them out to us 😊crispy thin batter, delicious chips so professionally cooked, cannot wait to go back, very hard to find good fish and chips these days. Fresh,crispy and not greasy fish suppers. Loved this. Usually go to Valentes but it wa shut so tried here as our parents love it. It did not disappoint! Will definitely be back!

Chips were lovely as was the fish but perhaps the batter was a little thick

Hate having to wait until my meal is cooked in a ‘takeaway’ chippy. Not everyone has time to wait either. Don’t visit this chippy very often because of this. Maybe have some food ready?

In a nutshell, great! Battered mushrooms are out of this world. Chips are good, tried our oldest child's fish it was fantastic! Fried pizza brilliant too! Really disappointed they don't do oven baked pizza's though, don't understand why they don't. Menu quite limited but overall quality of food means you'll be coming back over and over

Food is really good, but most of the times not getting what I've ordered, how hard is to get SMOKED sausage...

Had a burger supper and a white Pudding supper. We both enjoyed them. Piping hot and freshly cooked. Update:11/12/21 we had an Icelandic fish supper and chicken nuggets and fritters for me. Deelishus.

The food was tasty but my word they really do scrimp on the chips. A child portion for an adult is best we to describe it. There was just hardly any there. So lost points for valve for money as that it ain’t.

Very disappointed asked girl a question about the king ribs as there have been a problem with them for a very long time with all chip shops she said yes it's all sorted now they have the BBQ coating on them only to get home and were still the old faulty king ribs that are utterly tasteless please tell customer the truth doesn't pay to tell lies to us

We honeymooned in Scotland in 2003 and stayed by Ravenscraig. Every single night my hubby wanted to run up to Rinaldi's right before close for a bite of fish. We went down to london for the last week of honeymoon and my hubby was sorely disappointed that the fish and chips were not of the same quality. This place has THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN THE WORLD! When Covid is over and we can safely travel, I can't wait to bring my California children to try this place. Out of 5 stars, I give it 10. I've never had better fish and chips.

Popped in and heard the moody girl behind the counter ranting at the delivery driver. Her customer service could sour vinegar. Fish greasy. Used to be the best chippy in Kirkcaldy.

Normally my favourite place to get Fish & Chips but today the queue system was all over the place and the portion sizes were way off. Will still come back though, food as always is great 😁

Going down hill chips are terrible and portions getting smaller and not the cheapest place to order from. Time for a rethink a shame as it was the best in kirkcaldy.average at best

Trying to phone in a order is impossible as they take the phone of the hook. 3 staff standing around doing nothing and rude when I asked if Thay knew the phone was off. Only customer in the shop and 15 minutes for order

Visited here from out of town with a couple friends, and wow. Service was amazing, a very friendly and polite bunch of staff. As for food I couldn’t fault it at all, will definitely be back. Keep up the good work ☺️

You try to phone an order in and they won't answer the phone. When you arrive and try to place your order, the staff are rude. If you want to feel completely undervalued as a customer, Rinaldi's is the place to come! Their food used to be really good too, but the good chef has now left and the fish is often overcooked and tasteless

Nice crispy fish , would be 5 star but hardly any chips. Also got a delivery once £3.00 it cost, way to much for a delivery

Went in to get two large chips. You'd think that two chips wouldn't take too long but you'd be wrong. The 2 girls serving were surly, sarcastic and rude and began serving another customer who had come in after me. When one of them noticed I was unhappy I got a 'we're waiting for chips'. Even though they'd just served the man in front of me. Finally got the chips in which one was cold and half the amount of the other one which shock! was actually warm. So they basically gave me the dregs from the last batch and some new ones from the fresh batch. I also got a very sarcastic 'have a nice night' which in no way was sincere and was clearly done to wind me up. Will not be going there again. Far too expensive for what it is and terrible service from the two girls.

It tastes OK but isn’t good value. Avoid the combo meals. Our “large boneless fish” was one small piece. Very very disappointed. There are better places locally that offer better quality (and portions) for a lot less. You can’t live on your reputation and rip off your customers.

One off the best Chip shops in Fife and Hands down THE BEST Chip shop in Kirkcaldy nobody else gets close.

They’ll hang up on you before you’ve even asked if they do Gluten free!! As they did me : I had to ring a second time and even then was told they don’t speak to people in the phone unless it’s about “deliveries “ well sadly they won’t be delivering to us.

Food is fried fresh as you order.Chips are lovely and crispy and chunky.Wee bit more expensive but it's fresh oil and food.worth a wee treat

We use this chippy every week and we get it delivered. We both look forward to our fish supper and not once have we been disappointed. Delivery is quick we wouldn't use anyone else. Even the dog gets a biscuit 🍪😊

I go in here virtually every Friday for two fish suppers and a diet coke. I couldn't believe they have added 30p to a supper ( it went up a few months ago) and gave less fish as well. They also added 20p to a tin of diet coke making it £1.20!!!!! I know costs are rising, my wages aren't but this is greed.

Excellent chippy, the best in fife......probably.

The Icelandic fish is tiny, the chips were very pale and undercooked and the white pudding was very greasy. Overall certainly not a pleasant experience and one I certainly won't repeat.
