The Bridge House in East Hertfordshire

I only go there at night for a few drinks. Staff are very friendly and they serve u fast. Atmosphere is good. I've met a lot o people there. Everyone is very friendly. I live in this city so maybe it helps. A lot of the time you will see the same friendly faces. Which for me is good. Never ate there so don't know. But for a drink is 8/10 prices could be lower. But I think everywhere is getting expensive.

They were all so nice and ran a solid operation, live music and live energy.

Spent a lovely afternoon watch South Africa and Wales. The staff were really attentive, nothing was to much trouble

On my way home from the airport I decided to come down with some mates to have a few beers. Even though it was midnight past, the vibe was quite nice and the women bartenders very friendly. On top of that there was live music and the place felt very cosy. Next time I m in the area I'll definitely come back!

The bartenders are stupid, arrogant and unfriendly. I'm not going to return to be charged £11 for a poorly served gin and tonic and where they do it not in front of you and on top of it in a poorly placed tube glass.

There is no food. But good service, live music and beer.

Not sure what's happened to this pub. Used to have great music and vibe, but is now preoccupied with seating arrangements above all else.

This place stays open later than most in the area, even on Sundays, which is a major plus in my book. I've had several serious/important sit-downs with friends, family and colleagues alike here, and always felt entirely comfortable and safe doing so -- cannot say the same at other local establishments. Of course when the barman is from Colombia and you're Peruvian by heritage, folks should already know just like the Irish, us South Americans like to stick together! 🥰🥰🥰 Muchas gracias, amigo!

I haven't tried the food but I heard its decent.

I was really disappointed with this pub, it's not got an Irish vibe at all. The staff seemed overly money focused - mainly concerned with making sure no customer had an empty glass for more than a couple of seconds. Not a very relaxing environment. And responsible drinking not encouraged.

Great atmosphere but toilets could do with a refurb. Dirty doors, all needs a good clean. No toilet paper etc.

Always a fun time. Ask for a Vegas bomb, you will not be disappointed

Fantastic little pub. Small but so friendly. Bar staff were amazing on our 2 visits. Lots of TV screens for sport. But the highlight was the great 80/90s music that was playing all night. Great atmosphere.

Nice small pub with a smoking area in the back with heating elements.

It's a shame because we loved this place but last night we went to celebrate Helloween with friends and we were kicked out by a guy from the staff who said we can't stand 5 people on a table with 2 chairs. Other people were kicked out as well, looks like they don't value their customers. Won't return unfortunately. Very bad management, not even an apology.

Nice atmosphere , great staff upstairs , downstairs bars, plenty of tvs to watch the sport including a TV in the smoking area. Pour a good pint of guiness.

People come for the beer and banter , more a sports/Irish type pub. Toilets are absolutely filthy but you will have a laugh .

Nice friendly atmosphere. Old, traditional style pub. Could do with a few more seats for us oldies but I know that might be difficult because of the small room sizes. Definitely worth a visit particularly for sports fans.

Fantastic friendly pub! Came in for the all Ireland final, had never been in before (didn't realise there was an Irish pub in Bishops Stortford!), and the landlord immediately sorted out a table for me and my family. The staff were friendly and welcoming all night, the atmosphere in the pub was great, the locals all good natured. I will definitely be coming back, cannot recommend it highly enough!!

I think it was a good boozer, very drunk though.

Nice pub. I used to go to grab few beers and the atmosphere was ways chill and relaxed. Waters are friendly and serving with a smile on the face. I would definitely recommend it. I am no longer living in the area and I kinda miss it. So many memories 🎉🎉

Wonderful singer on a Saturday night satisfying every absurd request we threw out at him. That was pleasant. Otherwise a distinctly average, largely forgettable place.

Missed our flight from Stansted to Spain. Had a few hours to kill. Never been to England before (we’re American), decided to go into town (any town) and have an unexpected English adventure. Wound up in Bishops Stortford and found this great pub. Staff was very kind and the regulars were fun and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
