The Bridge in Plymouth

I like the vibe here..it always seems relaxed. The views across the yacht haven are good too. We went recently with a group of 15 or more. Menus organised in advance which suited us.s Some people thought drinks prices were a bit too high..especially on non alcoholic drinks which still cost about £6-7. Service was good..pleasant helpful staff. But they seemed to run out of the poached pears dessert.. which was surprising as we had ordered well in advance. The alternative..when it came..was good though. Would go again.

Always love this place ,every time I'm down from London, I love it hear ,great staff ,great food , amzing view , And there also great with nut allergy.

Had a lovely lunch here with our elderly aunty, who is a regular at this restaurant. You really need to know it's here. It's dog friendly, fabulous menu, all freshly cooked traditional food. I had monkfish scampi which was delicious, my husband had liver and bacon which is his favourite whilst Aunty had a fish pie. There was a great drinks menu with a fab selection of alcohol free gins by Salcombe gin. We'll be back again next time we visit Aunty ❤️

Very disappointed with the roast especially for £26 quid can go to the lopes and get two sensational courses for that there roast is unreal !! Pretty disappointing

We came in for a roast and both had beef. For the price you would think it would be outstanding but the beef was terribly overcooked, roast potatoes weren't great, not alot of veg! Gravy was great. We live a roast and often go to First & Last bistro and for less than you pay here you get fillet beef and amazing veg. I think for the quality of this it should be charged at £10

We had a delicious Sunday lunch and the service was excellent. We definitely appreciate having such a lovely venue nearby.

Friendly staff, great food imaginatively presented and very tasty. Great view over the marina. Popular venue and deservedly so.

What an incredible pizza! The ‘dirty’ pizza (brisket and bbq sauce) is easily one of the best pizzas I have had. The base was beautifully crisp and the flavours the perfect balance. Thank you- I will be back!

Amazing food and scenery was very pretty

The Bridge at Mountbatten is a fantastic place. Haven’t been here for a few years but, if anything, it has got better. Attentive and friendly young staff, excellent decor with great views (even if it was raining on this occasion). The food was excellent, especially the fresh fish, as was the wine. Good job!

If you like great food, attentive staff and brilliant beers then this place should be top of your list. We visited on a Sunday when roasts are added to the already extensive menu. My wife loved the roast beef and I thoroughly enjoyed the monkfish scampi. The staff were really attentive and engaging with all tables. An amazing vibe, beautiful setting overlooking the marina all washed down with a locally brewed IPA. Sundays don’t get much better ! Highly recommend.

Booked a table well in advance for 10 people for my wife's 60th birthday. I was told they would make an effort to mark the occasion however nothing was made. Instead we were all crammed downstairs near the front door on to a small table with benches and barely any elbow room. Unable to get out of the seats without everyone having to move around like non musical chairs. Service was very slow (we thought the ice cream was coming from Cornwall). The food was nothing special and is quite expensive. The place décor is looking as tired as the the old Ukrainian flag hanging outside. Have had better food, service and experience at The Harvester in Plympton and at half the price. Will not be going back.

The food & service was excellent, the reason I gave 3 stars is that they would not take cash, as this is legal tender and should be accepted & should be expected in a restaurant.

We visited the Bridge with a large family group of 16, we received an excellent welcome from the young staff who from the outset were highly professional and attentive. Every member of the family group commented on the high quality of service and food. Special thanks to the staff, also to the young man who was carrying out his first shift.

A large group of us ate dinner here prior to a sailing event at the Mountbatten Watersports Centre. The service was amazingly efficient and very friendly. The food was also fantastic, albeit slightly pricey.

Had a lovely family celebration meal (lunchtime). Food was lovely, as always. Beautifully presented. Fantastic view. Staff were brilliant. Love coming here with my husband as he is disabled but able to park here, easy entrance, roomy toilet and lift to upper floor.

Lovely place for lunch. They were super friendly and the restaurant has a lovely nautical ambiance. I just popped in for a vegetarian sandwich but it was really nice.

We've spent a couple of lost afternoons here with friends, family or just the two of us. Enjoyed the superb breakfast too!

First time here for full English breakfast. Really nice. Proper sausage and bacon. Proper English mustard. Comfy chairs, good coffee,No jangling music or bare walls which meant we could talk comfortably, unlike some local trendy chains I could mention. Complements to the chefs!

Made our debut at The Bridge for Sunday lunch on a very wet lunchtime. Reasonable amount of parking right outside. There's a downstairs bar area which we glimpsed before we were ushered upstairs to a fairly spacious and well furnished area with around 9/10 tables. Lots of sea n boat paraphernalia but the view was impressive across quayside towards the city centre. There's seating on outside decking which looked great - but not in the rain! The service was cheerful and quick. We had the beef roast and the chicken roast - ample portions and thankful we didn't have starters....because we wanted dessert. Orange cake for one of us and sticky toffee pudding for the other. Generous servings. With drinks, the bill came to £95 for 3 of us. We tipped. We'll come back and perhaps with friends knowing that it's got a good laid back atmosphere and good food.

We celebrated my Mum's 70th birthday at the Bridge and they hosted 40 of us incredibly well. Excellent communication from booking and throughout. All the food was hot and absolutely delicious. Can't rate them highly enough and we're hoping to book again for our next celebration!

Excellent food, very worth a visit.

The Bridge hosted my mother's 80th birthday party and did an amazing job. The staff were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Fantastic food, brilliant service, and a really chilled atmosphere. We have been to The Turtely Corn Mill many times, and the quality of everything is mirrored between the two establishments. I will be returning to The Bridge with my wife in the future. Thank you guys!

2 crses for £19.95. Pate + 3 tiny triangles of toast. Beef Bourguignon, waited over 1/2 hr meat was very tough, seemed re-heated in microwave. Apology given as mix up, order not passed to kitchen.

Waterfront setting, as are many in the area .. second visit but first for Sunday lunch. Roasts very overpriced, almost £95 for four roasts, three at £24.50, one at £19.95. The wine list prices, hmm. The beef rib was too done for my taste.. The roast potatoes tasted as if they had been kept warm and not enough. I prefer to pour my own gravy and was surprised it came out covering the meal.. good service.

Have eaten lunch here before, so we tried dinner, gorgeous food, lovely staff, chilled atmosphere, splendid views what was not to love and dog friendly!! Need to try breakfast next.

We visited for dinner with my partner and our friend. Great service, kind and friendly staff. We had pappardelle beef ragu, a cheesy pizza and a couple of squid starters. All dishes were very well cooked, 10/10. Also great atmosphere, quiet and relaxing. Thank you.

Very expensive food and not great a glass of wine and a pint of lager shandy £16 we won't go again

We booked into The Bridge for a romantic meal for two. Plenty of parking outside the restaurant was a good start. We walked in and received a friendly greeting, then seated at a nice table overlooking the marina (and a rather nice luxury yacht too!) Initial drinks order taken quickly and brought over, pricing was very reasonable too. We ordered our food and soaked up the atmosphere. Food came quickly and was delicious, hot and cooked to perfection. I’d recommend the pork belly 😍 We paid our bill (£57 including drinks) and departed. We’ll happily return to The Bridge again ❤️

What a fabulous place, the first time of going but won't be the only time. The food was amazing, the staff were wonderful and very welcoming and the ambience spot on.

Nice view but food didn't match up as well. The roast beef meat was tasty but hard roast potatoes and other sides pretty bland. A pricey £25 too. Fish and chips was a small portion and again quite plain.

On the marina side with an intimate atmosphere and beautiful views! Large glass bifold doors. The wine list was diverse and genuinely interesting - we stayed for an extra glass as the sun set. The food menu had unusual but exciting choices, even for vegetarians. We booked on the off chance and we're very pleasently surprised. Would recommend

We went to this restaurant for lunch with my family. We had an great time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The view on the boats is beautiful. One negative point was the dessert (vanilla cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding were dry (not enough sauce, cream or strawberry coulis as you’d normally get with those deserts). We asked a supplement of toffee sauce and this was no problem. Not sure I’d order the cheesecake. Still we will be back to enjoy the lovely fish and chips which were perfect 👍 Thank you ☺️

Had a great meal here this evening with family. Food was delicious and the service was absolutely fantastic. We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable. Best service we’ve received in quite a while eating out. Made for a really special evening.

Another lovely visit to The Bridge. As ever, food is delicious, wine list very comprehensive, setting divine and staff delightful. We try to visit The Bridge every couple of weeks and it's setting, in a yacht marina, is absolutely beautiful and makes me want to book another holiday. Sadly health considerations preclude for now. As a rule, the portion sizes are very generous but we are unable to eat a lot so they are hugely accommodating, serving a starter as a main course, that then allows for dessert. Believe me, the shredded duck salad is more than enough!!! Because we have been visiting now for a year or so, as friends catching up, some of the staff clearly recognise us and know that we don't rush! They are attentive without being pushy, whilst ensuring our every need is met and even greeted questions about other establishments in the area with information, clarity and kindness. Thanks Ben! The Bridge has everything going for it: gorgeous setting, delicious food and really nice staff. What's not to love?!

Had a meal here while holidaying in Plymouth. Views of the marina were good. Service was mixed - the welcome we received was friendly but it seemed diners who were clearly local got better treatment than we did e.g. I heard servers telling other tables when seating people what the dishes/soup of the day were (we were not given this information) and they received tap water in nice bottles, whereas ours just came in individual glasses even though the waitress said she would bring us a bottle. We were offered serving plates to eat the focaccia we were sharing and said yes, however these were not brought over. Food was very nice, we particularly enjoyed the focaccia and pizza. We felt the risotto was not good value for money at £18 - quite a small portion and no accompaniment. Hot drinks a bit more expensive than we usually pay. Location probably influences the price. A decent meal overall.

Popped in for a late lunch today and….. wow!! My husband had the seafood platter and I had the Katsu curry which was fantastic, followed by the sticky toffee pudding of dreams. We have never had a bad meal here, the staff are always friendly and super attentive, even when rushed off their feet. How lucky we are to have such a wonderful place to eat !!

Booked a family roast (6 people) at dinner time (17:30) for a roast via the phone and the person said we didn't need to pay a deposit to secure the food as she said there will be loads roast left!!. When we arrived and went to order the waiter said all the roasts have finished!! Very, very disappointed, especially my daughter and grand parents! Please can you train your telephone staff!! Had to choose more other food and more expensive, they didn't even offer anything complimentary, so will not be visiting the Bridge for some time!!

A great location, on the waters edge at the Mt Batten marina... The atmosphere is rather sophisticated and reserved, but welcoming and comfortable. The drawback is the pricelist, which is rather Stella Artois ( reassuringly expensive) but that promotes a certain clientele with deep pockets...

On Saturday the wife and I went for a quiet meal down the bridge for the first time. She ordered the slow brazed belly pork and I got the 10oz marinated ribeye steak. We were married a few days before and when the waiter asked what the occasion was and we let them know this. The customer service was really good and I couldn't fault them at all. The atmosphere was great, very quiet and it was a good volume for us to talk. The food was excellent, in all honesty the only reason why I rated the food as 4/5 is that I ordered a medium rare and it came well done. It wasn't completely to my taste but it was still really good. They did remember we were newly weds and so they gave us a small gift (photo attached). All in it was a great experience and we will definitely be going back.

Stopped here for a quick drink. Sat outside on the decking area and had a great view of the marina. Would have loved to have stayed a little longer. Parking was limited but we were lucky and parked in The Bridge car park. Will definitely visit again.

Myself,my wife and our friends have eaten in this establishment on more than one occasion,and always found the food and service to be top notch.However,our visit last night was rather disappointing.I ordered the haddock,and please correct me if I am wrong,but I am convinced that it was frozen (and not fresh) as it was bland and totally tasteless. My wife said that her curry was `alright`but nothing special. Shame,because as I have said,we have had some really good food at the Bridge. They seemed to struggle with gluten free dishes also.

Lovely light lunch. Seafood platter was generous with fresh prawns and hot smoked salmon accompanied by a fresh baguette. The salmon terrine was freshly made and delightful. Great friendly service in the upstairs overlooking the busy Cattewater, so lots to see as we ate. Thank you The Bridge, we will be back soon.

Food was perfect, fish was huge! Really friendly service and nice table in the corner, on the 1st floor. Even though the restaurant was full, it wasn't too noisy and had a nice atmosphere.

We had a last minute meal for three whilst staying in the Marina this week. The food was really delicious and very generous potions, we all really enjoyed our choices and the friendly service was really brilliant. (My only small gripe would be prices of wine by the glass!!) Otherwise, I can't fault it, we'll come again next time we stay.

Great trip across from The Barbican to Mount Batten on the ferry. Walk along the front to The Bridge where you won't be disappointed! Food was delicious, good portions and locally sourced ingredients. Staff friendly and a relaxed atmosphere. We will be back!

Absolutely amazing service, we had a family birthday of 27 people and even though 4 of us arrived half an hour early the staff were so accommodating and took care of us while they sorted the upstairs. The food was absolutely amazing, 27 meals all...

Around 30 of us went for our Christmas get together. Service and food was really good. All went smoothly considering there was so many of us.

A really attractive establishment, and a comfortable place to watch the world go by…and maybe enjoy a coffee…. However, unfortunately the service here certainly doesn’t match. The staff were very disorganised, and it took approx 25 minutes to receive coffees..and that was asking the waitress...

The staff seemed extremely disorganised…and it took approx 25 minutes to receive our coffees and that was after asking the waitress for them again. - I can see the attraction of going here, as it does look very modern and attractive, however the service needs to up its game masssively to match the establishment.

A great setting overlooking the marina at Mount Edgcombe. Seating inside and outside for both meals or just coffee/drink. Inside or outside on the verandah you get lovely views. Friendly service, a good menu. Definitely a venue for regular visits.

The Bridge never disappoints! After a busy morning on the water we were very hungry. Proper fish & chips on a Friday with real mushy peas was the order of the day! The fish is fresh locally caught and fried in a light and crispy beer batter. For a starter I tried the Melon and Mozzarella, very summery and flavourful. My friend had the soup with a lovely locally baked focaccia followed by a goats cheese and vegetable spring roll as a lighter option. Healthy stir fry’s are available and had the fish & chips not been a long established favourite I would have tried as they looked so colourful going out to the other tables. Dessert and coffee… Wow! A whipped vanilla cheesecake to die for and these guys can make real coffee. It’s good and a must have and would be rude not to have one of the desserts!

Fantastic setting relaxing atmosphere great food , friendly bar staff but totally let down by the lady clearing tables, collecting glasses . Rude is an understatement .

Went there for a drink on a hot day, stunning views of the water, prices are expensive but to be expected with the location I'd say. I'm going to go back for a meal next time as it looked beautiful as it was being carried to tables.
