The Bridge in Erewash

Cheap and simplistic, group of family went, pub was not too busy and while the staff are friendly enough, choice of drinks on tap were pretty poor choice of lager and strongbow and the doom bar was off. Most of the choice was in bottles and a few spirits. The food is very disappointing however, burgers were a bit dry and flavourless, the salad on the burger hadn't been rinsed, still tasted like weedkiller. The pie looked pretty good at first but the filling looked like it had been scooped out of the toilet from Trainspotting. Chips were lukewarm, only 2 onion rings. Almost everything has been kept in the freezer. I had to ask for ice with a rum and coke however. Ok for a drink, but I don't think I will be going back for food again.

This place is absolutely awful, the food was disgusting and had not taste to it very bland to say the least and took ages to come out even though we were first in when it opened. The place was really dirty and if we didn’t order food virtually straight away we would have left and gone elsewhere. The glasses our drinks come in were dirty, the bar area was filthy and stunk of stale ale and you could see the bar mats were wet and dirty. My 4 year old even said he didn’t like the toilets as they are ( really dirty) his words not mine and cold. The cutlery wasn’t even clean and felt dirty to touch. Very disappointed and will definitely not be returning.

Service at the bar was incredibly slow. We ordered food and sat down. My friends jacket potato turned up .. it was ok (adequate although grated cheese was dry and powdery and baked beans a strange colour. My salmon salad turned up with new potato’s n veg ( wrong dinner ) then 10 minutes later soggy with salad dressing .. eventually it was returned once again after my friend had finished eating, with same tiny piece of thin dry chewy salmon. The salad was a bowl of brown gone over lettuce small pieces a few small pieces of cucumber and one tomato with a lot of red onion cut thickly .. gross. I ate some of the salmon and the tomato.. the bar staff did come back and ask if id finished as the bowl was obviously still full. I told her what was wrong with the meal and she said oh I’ll speak to the chef .. and promptly disappeared … won’t be back. table was sticky and cutlery dirty .. I had heard that things weren’t as they used to be … food used to be really good but even I didn’t expect them to have sunk so low.

WOW, what a hidden gem. The Bridge in for years I use to pass, and never went in. But I am so glad I did, I went in a few months ago for food and have not looked back. Todays food was home cooked, with great care, hot, tasty and well presented. The menu and specials boards are well put together, and its a pub I enjoy going to. Well done to all the staff front of house, and in the kitchens!

Avoid Avoid. Food was awful. Table was not even cleaned menu stuck to Table. Complaints don't bother no one interested before I even stated what was wrong straight away said no refund and the prices gone up.i had mixed grill well if you can call it that £16 paid chips were even recooked..........

Bloody dreadful got food poisoning. I'll for 48hrs.never go there again.put it down to warm rice been kept warm instead of hot.

My grandparents came in today for lunch. They were looking forward to trying this pub again as they had been told it had become a lot better since their last visit. Unfortunately this was not the case they we very dissatisfied and disappointed with everything. The lack of choice on the menu to then being told there were no burgers (of which this makes up most of the menu). After ordering a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw they were them told there was no coleslaw. An absolute shambles they won’t be visiting again in a hurry or recommending this pub.

Visited today for a meal. A good choice on menu, reasonable priced. The meals were hot, nicely presented and delicious. Service was good. Will visit again.

Regulars for at least 10 years, but since the change of management the whole feel of the place has changed and the service has been dreadful. We wanted to give them the chance to settle in so have been 5 times since they re-opened. On our first visit it took 25 mins for someone to take our drinks order (table service only). Service each visit has been poor and mostly unfriendly. The last time we went we were told someone would come outside to take our order, but they didn't. Someone came to take an order from the table next to us, who had arrived after us. We called over and asked politely if he could take our order too. He said he'd be back in a minute. He wasn't. We left without having been served. Such a shame when it used to be so lovely. We haven't seen any other regulars there either, so we are assuming others are also voting with their feet.

We have always been regulars here and always enjoyed it however since its been taken over its awful,kids menu only had 2 choices,the steak was overcooked and the prices have been put up,also sad to see they havnt done any promotions like they always have like kids eat for £1 and school holiday bbq and bouncy castle. sad to say but ill be looking for a new place to take my custom

Found this little gem, via a Google search as I am not from the area. However, I'm glad I visited and so was my son. A warm welcome greeted us and the staff couldn't do enough to help us choose a meal and rinks, even the pub was quite busy. Prices were excellent and the food cooked to perfection, and the desserts delicious. Can't fault the staff, especially the Manager and Deputy Manager, who made a point of talking and welcoming my son and I, given we were vaiitjf from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Excellent service by the staff and I would recommend this pub for couples and families alike. 5🌟

Called into The Bridge for a late afternoon lunch. Had eaten there before and so we knew it had a large beer garden that would be ideal for the grandkids. Amongst the three adults and two children we ordered scampi & chips. jacket potato with beef chilli and bacon filling, breaded mushrooms and chicken goujons. Despite the COVID restrictions food did not take too long to arrive and was of a good quality. Together with a couple of rounds of drinks and two lots of ice creams ( one chocolate and mint choc chip) and a Cornetto the bill came to just over £60 which was good value for money. Worth a visit if you have a young family.

Normally this pub is amazing but today on our visit just didn’t meet the standards 😔 when we got seated we didn’t get a menu and when we finally got one there wasn’t a lot to choose from the food was lovely and all the staff are. After our food we went to sit outside as it was nice weather we was sat out there 15/20 mins and no one came over to ask if we wanted a drink. After half an hour sitting there we got up and left as we still didn’t get a drink .

Ordered our food today we were informed a half an hour wait, almost an hour after ordering no staff around to ask where food was. Popped in for a swift beer whilst visiting the area. Nice beer garden which welcomed dogs. Beer kept very well.

Few regulars in the bar area, pleasant bar staff, food delivery a bit slow , fries were cold, chips were warmed up - overall as expected at a quiet time.

Fuimos un domingo, el servicio era un poco lento, pero para ser justos, me dijeron que estaban cortos de personal antes de pedir la comida. Bien vale la pena la espera, nuestra comida fue cocinado a la perfección y agradablemente servido por el personal. Buena relación calidad-precio y a precios razonables.

Yo y algunos amigos me dio un picotazo en el puente el martes para ver si había cambiado ahora nuevos gerentes han tomado el relevo. Lugar estaba lleno y tenía un gran ambiente, había una corta espera en la comida pero nada 2 importante! Y para ser honestos, fue sin duda vale la pena la espera 3 de nosotros tuvimos carne y fue cocinado a la perfección absolutamente delicioso. Fue lindo ver el puente ocupado como lo que solía ser. Bien hecho quien es el director y un agradecimiento enorme a los chefs Chef/para una comida fantástica volveremos muy pronto 10 / 10

Went here for a family sunday lunch. Food very good and tasty and plentiful. Prices were good and represent good value for money. Staff helpful and attentive . Suroundings pleasant. What more could you want. Geat eating experience.

El servicio era la cantidad de tiempo, no demasiado largo, así que empezar revisando su hombro cada vez que hay un ruido y no demasiado rápido que no he tenido oportunidad de natter todavía!La comida estaba bien caliente y todos tuvimos un flan demasiado viendo como los precios son muy razonables.En general un muy buen lugar para visitar con su abuelita (o sin)!
