It had an unwelcoming atmosphere as all tables were reserved and the barman/ manager was preoccupied with his own friends.

Great beers, great staff and lovely atmosphere. Thankfully the bar is local to us and I love that theres a good local nearby that sells good beers. They also have a selection of board games and allow dogs, of the cute four legged kind, in. Thats a big bonus in my book. The staff know their beers and are only gladly able to give recommendations for a good IPA and small samples to try. Theres also a loyalty card you can get - who doesnt like to get rewarded for drinking beer. Guve them a try and im sure you wont regret it.

Fantastic little pub with a good selection of drinks. Frequent rotation of craft beer, generally local breweries as well as the usual Beavertown etc. good choice of spirits also. Be sure to sign up to the Rewards Scheme too. Small selection of food available for very good prices. The nachos is a favourite and frequent selection for me. Pub is dog friendly, so often a couple in there but all well behaved. There is a small outdoor area available also.

We visited with my family and friends, some visiting from Italy ( Paolo & Ileana) that wanted to take part at a live Irish folk music session. We had the best time, and the staff was very friendly. We can’t wait to come back. Great pub, a gem. Luca

Great pub with great, friendly staff. Very very dog friendly ♥️ with dog treats on the bar instead of peanuts. Might be a bit loud on rock night for my luna but definitely my pub of choice for a lunchtime meal and a pint with man's best friend ♥️

I spent 40 minutes waiting for a pint of Hood, shocking service. It eventually arrived and was left on the table in protest

I use to visit this pub quite regularly as it was my local. A proper pub with a friendly atmosphere. However will never step foot in there again after my wife, myself and friend were verbally abused by a member of staff and her friend. Shocking behaviour that reflects poorly on Lincoln green

Nice cosy pub. Good beer. Friendly staff. Quite close to where I live, about 15 minutes walk. I tend to sample the Archers which is a nice light hoppy beer.

good beer, cheerful staff. irish music session once a month. minimal food or snacks, but doesn't matter. just a shame it isn't bigger or has more of a garden or yard

Fantastic atmosphere with a quirky feel. Dogs everywhere, fantastic management where the landlord takes time to get to know the clientele. Everyone from all walks of life, young and old are welcome. This pub is truly unique. Must visit even if you aren’t from Carlton.

Left Carlton Feb 2020. Really miss this pub. The bloke behind the bar was great, the real ales made the place. Pint is Hood, was my favourite. The toasties were great too. We will call in when we visit.... wish I had a pub like it near me now.

Been going in this pub since it first opened and have been more than impressed. It recently has had a new manager and his girlfriend took over. The customer service that you receive from Josh is 100%. However I do have an issue. About a month ago one of the ladies toilets was put as out of order, and we were left with one to use. The state of this toilet is unacceptable. It's covered in dust around all the pipes and cobwebs and grime all around the sink. Looks like it's never been cleaned.The floor is littered with debris and does not look like it's seen a mop. I spoke with the manager about this and he was very apologetic. Went back into the pub last night and the toilet is still out of order, and the one toilet we have to use is as dirty as ever! The table we sat as was sticky and felt like it had never seen a cloth in weeks. Come on guys, get the basics right! I would hate to see you close because of basic hygiene.

It was like being in a typical bar from the past, the decor was appropriate, l like the features and the model street building encased in the table was brilliant. It was bright and spacious and for a small place even the toilets were decent. My compliments to the designer with these style pubs, often there always seems to be a compromise in one area but they got this place spot on. The bar service was excellent, good product knowledge and we weren’t expecting them to have food but the cheese toasties were fab with my beer. Genuine atmosphere of old fashioned unpretentious pubby happiness. Simply does not get better then this!!! Avoid the high street loutish repetition and try summat real... real people, real snacks, real ale. Fantastic value.

Walked to be welcomed by a big fluffy cat and welcoming bar staff. Small but perfectly formed ,great decor, really comfortable and welcoming . The bar person was very welcoming and patient as we try to decide what we would like to have. Great selection of real ales , ciders,lagers,gins and much more. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic pub. Always has a good craft ale or cider on the menu that I like. This week was Gamma Ray which is an awesome pint!
