The Brick Yard in Calderdale

We had a lovely meal here. The restaurant itself is quite quirky and in a bit of a strange location. There is nothing much around it so definitely one where you would drive to as it’s not really near to the centre of Brighouse. There were a few tables in when we arrived for our 7pm booking and the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. Nice background music and gorgeous lighting. It is only small so I would advise to book. We chose 3 dishes per person and one side. The highlights were definitely the sagnaki cheese with pitta, the squash and sage arrancini and the venison meatballs. All really good, beautifully presented and plentiful. A couple of things to mention. We didn’t enjoy the tomato and rosemary salt and garlic flatbread. For one it wasn’t a flatbread and more like a focaccia with a chopped tomato topping. The topping was almost ice cold so not really what we were expecting. The flat iron steak was nicely cooked but again the chimichurri that it was covered in was cold so we ate the steak quickly before it was lukewarm. The Sauvignon rose was lovely but not served in a tumbler! I thought it might just have been my drink but the couple to our left who were sharing a bottle of wine had tumblers as did the five ladies behind us. Clearly the dishwasher hadn’t been on! A service charge was added to the bill which was fine, we were happy to pay, but I did notice that the steak for example was a pound more than what was stated on the menu charged at £17 and not £16. Again not really a big issue but the menus should be changed to reflect the correct prices. The service was good and friendly and the dishes do come out as and when they are ready which is explained at the time of ordering. Our bill for two people with 6 dishes and a side and two rounds of drinks came to just over £100. It’s not cheap but baring the tomato bread we loved all the dishes and I would happily return especially as the menu seems to be changed on a regular basis

I attended a wedding reception here today. It was my first visit and certainly won’t be my last. The venue was lovely, the food delicious and service was great. I highly recommend it!!

This is the second time I’ve been for Sunday lunch. It was pretty awesome before but they’ve made it even better somehow. The food is amazing quality at an even more amazing price point. Really contemporary interiors, seasonal produce & wonderful cocktails. Lucky to have such a great place to eat & drink in Brighouse.

This place has an industrial vibe with good background music. The staff are very welcoming and the menu has a great choice of different flavours. We really enjoyed our choices at reasonable prices and we will definitely return. A hidden gem! Complements to the chef.

OMG part of me doesn’t want to review because I don’t want to share ! But what a fabulous place - food was spectacular-, plentiful, well cooked , excellent quality and service was attentive and friendly - couldn’t ask for a better Mother’s Day lunch !! A definite gem !

What an amazing find! An unexpected gem of a place where you are so well looked after as soon as you enter. The food is of an unbelievable quality. The flavours are vibrant and hearty, portions are generous and I only wish I had room for more! Finished off with cocktails as we didn’t have room for dessert. Again these hit every spot! A creative, unique, quirky little place that is well worth a visit! We will be back very soon.

Gorgeous food. Tasty and plenty of it. Lovely friendly attentive staff! Beautiful venue. The whole experience was perfect and we all can’t wait to return.

The Fondue Bottomless Brunch was excellent. The food was great quality and just right for that type of experience. What is great is the choice and quality of the drinks. The team are attentive and make a lot of effort to ensure that the experience is Bottomless. It is so nice when you don't need to chase drinks and the team make certain that you are never dry.

This is a stylish restaurant offering not only excellent Tapas but also a perfect Sunday lunch. We would recommend going on to their website to see the different events they offer and the opening times. Booking is definitely recommended. Service from start to finish is excellent with a friendly approach. The tapas will obviously vary but on the night we went we had the following. Jamon Croquettes so smooth and creamy. A perfect fondue which we did not want to finish. Perfectly cooked scallops in a divine sauce. Some meaty full bodied Ox cheek meatballs which maybe just needed a little more of the excellent sauce. The cheese and charcuterie board was varied and delicious. The orange tart to finish was lovely too. A perfect bottle of Organic Malbec accompanied the meal. Thanks for the perfect night!

We came here from a recommendation from my friend and it did not disappoint. Wow the best Sunday roast we have ever had (we have had a lot of Sunday roasts) I would even stretch to say it’s the most I have ever enjoyed a meal in itself. I could not fault it. The attention to detail really shows and every element to the roast dinner was soooo tasty 😍 generous portions too❤️ great service. Also the music choice in here is just what I love which made it even better. I love how the place is decorated and we will definitely be returning. I have told everyone about this place! If I could give it 6 stars I would. - This is me being completely picky and my personal preferences but would have loved a stem on my wine glass and the music could have done to be a little louder for more of an atmosphere🥰 The plates for the mains are same size as starter plates too which made it a bit hard to get all the food on.

Visited The Brick Yard about 4 times now and each time the service, attention to detail and food is faultless. The owners cannot do enough to look after you and make your experience a positive one. We’ve done fondue nights, wine and cheese tasting and a few bottomless brunches, glasses are constantly topped up during the bottomless brunches and the food is unreal with desserts being amazing. 100% recommend it for a visit.

I’ve been to the brickyard 4 times now! Done bottomless brunch, wine tastings and nibbles. Every time the food is amazing, service is 10/10 and the wine is great! Such a nice atmosphere too!!

This was my first trip to The Brickyard and definitely won’t be the last! Such a hidden gem and a lovely independent restaurant. The food, atmosphere, and service were faultless. Highly recommend their small plates evening, I’m already planning my next trip back!

We recently visited The Brick Yard and all I can say is WOW. The food was delicious and well presented and venue is stylish! The front of house were amazing and the level of service we received was 10/10. We will certainly be visiting again soon!

Popped in with my family on the opening night of their bottle shop menu, was blown away by the food I ate and the service was great too, would definitely recommend
