The beer was not on its best form. But the temperature was not helping. The bar man was very helpful, unlike his customers, who sit in front of the handpumps.

Proper alehouse with a good rotating choice of cask ales. Splendid burger selection. Poole table and darts board.

Probably the best spot in Poole for craft beer. Plenty on tap and also cans in the fridge. Staff friendly and attentive too

Popped in here for a drink on Easter Saturday afternoon. We were served quickly & found seats easily. There was a nice ambience in here & the menu was very tempting. Would definitely return & recommend.

Great beer, food and atmosphere with lovely staff

For many years now, one of the best places in the area to get real ale. It's own Frome brewery beers (formerly Milk Street) and guests.

Visited here a few times during a holiday to Poole. Always had 2-3 hands pulls from Frome brewery and also a 2-3 guest ales. Also tried the burgers and a side of dirty fries, which were really nice. Well worth a visit.

Have been here to a few quiz nights. Friendly atmosphere good bar service . Not yet tried any food there, but it does look tempting . Well worth a visit

The owners are so incredibly lovely, good music, delicious food, always friendly people in there. So cosy and nicely decorated too- couldn’t ask for a better local pub

Dropped in here for a beer after a 7 mile walk. Warm and friendly staff and a lovely relaxed vibe. Good selection of beers. We weren't planning for food but seeing the menu gave it a go. Homemade pastys were authentic and lovely. Pastry was excellent and seasoning was spot on. Be clear, this pasty would not survive being dropped down a mine shift and was all the better for it! This was a delicious pasty, not a 'wodge of stodge' and we will definately eat here again.

Good beer, and bar skittles ! Great. Landlord was a bit muted though so we were not feeling very wanted !

Myself and my partner visited this pub/restaurant on Thursday lunchtime 11/01/2024. We went in for some lunch and were left for twenty minutes without anyone coming to take our order. We were the only people in the restaurant and it was very cold. We were very unhappy about the lack of service.

Very rare to find a pub that makes homemade tasty food...this pub does! I can't recommend enough how tasty the food is. I thoroughly recommend their burgers, ham and brie toasties and their homemade onion rings! The cheeseboard and pork pie slices are to die for too. The Brewhouse is such a fantastic pub with amazing ambience and atmosphere with a pool table and a jukebox. The landlord and landlady are both tasty too 🤣❤️❤️❤️ definitely recommend xxxx

Fabulous pub, popped in for a pint and stayed for three. Beer is excellent and so are the locals. Met another Millwall supporter too, so all in all a cracking evening.

Amazing place definitely recommed , couldn't star the food as we didn't have any, lady behind the bar was really friendly and made conversation with us for someone from out off town it was very nice

In my opinion it's one of the best pubs in Dorset, great food, great service, great atmosphere, although it's only a small pub there's still space for everything one might be looking for in a decent bar. Delicious food and pub snacks, great selection of beers and ales, decent pool table and ques, all of the fruit machines, couldn't ask for more really!

Just started doing grilled cheese sandwiches which are superb. Ales are great, always got guest ones on. Burgers are good too!

Great little pub. Really friendly staff and customers. No food at present (kitchen being refurbished I believe) but soon to be back on line. They let me bring a sandwich in from the shop a few doors up. Great selection of beers.

Haven't been here for years. For a Friday evening, all rather sad with very few people there. Ales OK as was the food. Couldn't really recommend.

Listen right, Top tier food, 10/10 would eat again. Why cook dinner when you could get a burger from the brew house ykno? All homemade so you know it’s gonna be banging. Imagine, having an ice cold beer whilst you’re waiting for your burger. Eat your burger then get another one for takeaway.

Popped over for the quiz and a cheeky burger with some friends. Didn't manage to win the quiz but the nosh definitely tasted like victory! If you're a fan of juicy, indulgent, lip smacking grub then you should definitely give this place a shot. And if you want a suggestion, try their Frickles because they are fantastic! There's also a decent selection of beverages as well, if that's what you're after from a pub 😆

I am glad me and my friends went into the brewhouse, staff is really friendly, we had a few drinks here and decided to a bite to eat, we ordered the brewhouse burger and my friend had the cluck you you clucking cluck and omg I can not be more amazed by it... the burgers are really tasty, not just that, it also comes with homemade chips and coleslaw, we can not be more happier 😊 definitely going back for more of those delicious burgers and the friendly service.

What a lovely pub!! I've been there on weekends and quiz nights and there's always a fab, friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely, the beer is always awesome with a great selection, and the food is amazing!! I've had the pleasure of trying more than a few of the items on their menu, and they're soooo good! Personally, I can't recommend the chicken burgers highly enough! Oooh, and the frickles! If you've never had them, get in there and give them a go. NOW!!!

Amazing burgers and the best service, so friendly and could do enough for us, even accomodated my sons fussy requests, will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family 😊

Lovely food, my son is very fussy and said it’s one of the best burgers he’s had. So good in fact he’s been back numerous times on his own for his dinner! Always feel safe here and we’ll looked after!

This is a great pub.. i love the place....if you want good beer, both guest and also Frome brewery beers which change daily..both keg and cask or the largest selection of local scrumpy in town? A fine selection of spirits.. A Pool table? ...a juke box with thousands of tunes, darts, quiz nights. Burgers and wings that I'm certain you will be back for more for... don't be shy...go to the Brewhouse in the high street Poole... if people don't support the local independents they will be gone for ever!!..and im certain life would be a dull place without them.. Delicious burgers and sides tonight. 6 bhaji bites are so delicious,wonderful blend of flavours. Korean chicken wings were quickly devoured by my other half. Food is amazing I highly recommend it, big plus that Gluten Free buns and food is available.

Stopped for a drink around lunchtime and was greeted by a very friendly barman who was happy to tell us about the beers. Great selection with a good choice on both cask and draught. Will definitely pay another visit when in Poole again.

Went for food last night. Lovely buttermilk chicken burger 🍔 chips and coleslaw. And Korean chicken wings. Great food would definitely recommend 😋😁

It was a hot day out walking the dog. Went in and dog friendly. A water bowl was made available. It is a traditional pub and I mean a pub with a pool table. With a good selection of beers and lager. As I was driving later, they have available 0% Guinness, which I can recommend.

Having not been in for years I was delighted to be recognised & greeted by Paul - licensee. Likewise, to find local (Milk Street) brewers beers on offer. AND, an ok range of spirits too, often ignored by "beer pubs". Obviously v popular with locals.

Always busy nice and interesting beers really caters for ale drinkers , landlord is very welcoming ,knowledgeable and professional in his approach

Excellent selection of real ales always available which charges on a regular basis so never the same one on all the time Friendly and welcoming staff with a great atmosphere with the addition of a pool table, dart board and excellent up to date jukebox

The staff and atmosphere are very good. The selection of drinks is fantastic and there are lots of different ales and cides as well as larger. I highly recommend visiting the pub if you want to relax with a pint or like to play pool and darts... The juke box is the best in Poole and the bar and games area can have different noise settings to suit the customers on each day

Good range of beverages but not able to accommodate large groups unfortunately. Needs a large room to be hired for functions.

Not to be confused with a nearby pub with a similar name, this is a "proper" pub on Poole High Street, complete with pool table, dartboard, and a great selection of beers, some from the esteemed Frome Brewing Company.

Very friendly bar staff. Like many of the pubs in Poole no kids inside, although unlike some they were allowed indoors for the loo! And otherwise very accommodating. Good pint and nice wine / decent range of other drinks on offer too.

Only went for 1 pint but the barmaid was very polite and quick to serve me

Good locally brewed real ale, great banter and definitely a working person's pub. Highly recommend, and we will be returning next time we are in Poole.

Can't fault it really. Nice outdoor spot, friendly landlord ( I think) and good American style IPA from Milk Street/Frome Brewery. Seemed well supported by regulars. Definitely a good stop off drink.

Really good real ale and the bar man was excellent and really understands customer service. Its pubs like this that we need to treasure Phil (Telford)

As always a great selection of very well kept real ales on hand pump, some interesting "fall over" ciders and what I call some real dodgy craft ales in cans and bottles always available. Made very welcome every time I frequent this Poole High St. establishment. Fully Covid compliant with plenty of indoor seating and a number of tables outside to watch the world go bye. When we are back to whatever the norm will be great times can be had on the 2 pool tables whilst listening to a cracking jukebox.
