Millie's Cove in Poole

Today my husband and I had roast lamb and fresh vegetables. It was freshly cooked stuffing Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and tasty gravy. Thank you to Debbie ( staff) for friendly service. Recommend to anyone who enjoys a Sunday roast to try Millies Cove first.

We went for breakfast on Wednesday 20th Sept 23, and had two lovely breakfasts. Plus ‘normal’ coffee for my husband, he doesn’t like shots, frothys etc lol so the lovely lady working there brought out some Nescafe. Very good prices, lovely food, and the lady working there is the star of the place.

A lovely, friendly and cosy cafe. Excellent food and reasonably priced. We were staying in nearby Rockley Park for a few days and used this cafe for breakfast every day, Dog friendly and very nice people. If we lived in the area we would use this establishment as frequently as possible. We would highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our late breakfast. Staff are friendly, service is great. Food and drink is great value. Light and bright, cosy, homely interior.

What a lovely little gem, food freshly cooked a very reasonable price , highly recommended place to visit . If no car a bus no 9 goes by . Little parade of shops can park outside , or in next road before the cafe.

First time visiting this little gem today. Very nice and will definitely return. The staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. I had a sandwich and hubby had a baguette. Freshly made and came with a nice salad garnish and coleslaw. The cakes looked very nice but didn't have time to try them today. The breakfast menu looks good aswell so we need to go back and try that aswell.

Had a beautiful vegetarian breakfast. Friendly staff, very warm and welcoming great prices and I can’t wait to return ☺️

One of the many good things about the staff of Millie’s Cove is that they really look after their customers, regular or casual. New customers are welcomed with a smile and made to feel at home. As for the regulars, the staff soon know your likes and dislikes. For example, this morning, as usual, we are here for Jean’s hairdressing appointment next door. The ladies must have seen us parking, because, as we were still taking off our coats, our usual coffees and Jean’s usual cup cake, were being placed on top of our usual table. I am not sure if I am in a rut or a rhythm, but I do appreciate this attentive service. As said above, we come regularly on a Monday, but we have also started to come on a Saturday and Sunday when the other cafes we use are too busy due to the weekend. Keep up the good work. My wife has been using the same hairdresser in Hamworthy for many years. Luckily for me (as I am the designated driver) there is Millie’s Cove right next door. Originally we came to the cafe only on a Monday, to share a coffee and cake before she went in for her “wash and blow dry”. She would disappear next door and I would carry on with more coffee as I awaited her pleasure. However, we soon realised that we enjoyed the coffee, cake and delightful staff far more than one visit a week was worth. Consequently we now visit whenever we feel the need for refreshments. Occasionally Jean has to have a “cut & colour” which takes about two hours. So we make this an excuse (if one were necessary) to stop for lunch. The food, like the coffee is excellent, especially one of their English breakfasts. Something we do not have at home. Thank you to Millie’s Cove for being there for us. Peter & Jean. 😁

Good coffee, great food and a nice atmosphere. We came in for a late breakfast in the afternoon and we were not disappointed, we will definitely be back for more!

We love our local friendly cafe. We pop in on Sundays for breakfast or on Saturdays for a little treat. Their homemade cakes are delicious and well priced. I had a GF lemon drizzle yesterday and it was sooo nice! Their food is yummy and clean. Good breakfast and baps and paninis. They don't use deep fryers so it's very healthy cooking. Their chips are done in an air fryer and you wouldn't notice the difference. They offer alternative, other milks not just soya, they have gluten free options, I love a bacon and brie GF bap with extra coleslaw, their coleslaw is lovely. There's vegan options too, including vegan cheese!! More importantly they are very friendly and extremely dog dog friendly, my dogs always enjoy a sausage or two 😉 I'm always back!!!

Found this primarily whilst looking for a dog friendly cafe in Hamworthy and not disappointed. Great excuse to pop in after a dog walk, friendly atmosphere and excellent coffee ( high praise from a coffee aficionado ) . Tempting array of home made cakes - a delicious scone won....will be making a return visit to sample the other goodies, might even manage breakfast first ! Spotless and very high attention to hygiene .
