Great little cafe - drinks, food, service and toilets were perfect! A hidden gem. Definitely worth a visit. Great value.

Our favourite cafe in Boscombe/Bournemouth. We discovered it by accident when visiting the place next door. Really delicious top quality food, great presentation, good portions, all at such a great value.

Phenomenal food and great value. Today we had the Parma-ham wrapped Haddock in a white wine and cream sauce with prawns. It was perfectly seasoned, the broccoli had a perfect level of crunch. Good wine selection. My Girlfriend and I LOVE this place. Thank you.

Had lunch here for the first time today. Sunday. Unbelievable food (the salmon with roasted vegetables, a leek sauce and heavenly mashed potatoes). With one chef/owner in the kitchen, and 1-2 people out front, the food took some time, but well worth the wait. It is a reminder that the best things are still worth waiting for in this instant gratification world of ours. I'll be back for sure.

Visited again today with my Girlfriend. She had the salmon with ratatouille and fondant potatoes I had the Duck a L'Orange which was Cooked to perfection. Friendly service, excellent food which is good value and an incredible choice of wines. Menu just large enough that there is something for everyone. The breakfasts look amazing. We will be back, and soon. Thank you for an amazing lunch.

The service professional and the atmosphere warm and friendly. 100% recommend this little but perfectly formed gem. Best place in Pokesdown/Southbourne for breakfast or lunch. Everything done really well. It was just breakfast but done so well. All cooked beautifully. Nice touches such as iced water, proper ketchup and HP sauce. None of those stupid sachets! Friendly service. Perfect!

My new favourite lunch place and possibly Boscombe East's best kept secret (or not). A good selection of lunch items on the regular menu but the best thing about The Brew Cafe is the specials board. Small enough to not be overwhelming but large enough to be something for everyone. Great selection which changes regularly. On a previous visit I had seafood linguine and my husband the homemade fishcakes, both delicious. This visit, my husband and I went half and half with the sea bass and the Tuscan Chicken (see photos)... They were both sooo good. Very reasonably priced and generous portions. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, fantastic service. I just can't recommend it enough.

Popped in here for lunch today - it was a 'wow'.... food choice was excellent and was just fantasic when it arrived. I had the Avocado and Smoked Salmon Sourdough Toast with Poached Eggs and Salad. Quantity and Quality was brilliant.... won't be needing much more food today :) Will go again.

We had seen reviews for the Brew Cafe and thought we'd check it out. We most certainly weren't disappointed. We ordered 2 chicken dinners which were cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious and on a par with home cooked. I don't know anywhere else you'd get such good value. We will definitely go again to sample more of the menu. Thank you Brew Cafe!

Inauspicious looking place tucked away. Looks externally as if it is primarily a Breakfast-type Cafe but the food on offer at lunch was utterly superb! Prices very reasonable. To the other reviewers who complained about wait times.... To them I say Go and eat fast food or a pub that serves microwave meals instead! Quality food is worth the wait but not everyone can cook so they don't understand what food preparation entails. Had the salmon with clams and mussels, skin beautifully browned with the maillard reaction, creamy potato, nice 'al dente' broccoli and a wine/cream sauce with clams ans mussels that was to die for. Looking to come back ASAP. Very polite service and packed with regulars - no surprises there! I'd echo everything the previous reviewer said.

I've been recommended this place by friends and seen the rave reviews on Sobo Facebook ...well ..it was all true. We had fantastic food, quality and presentation you would expect in a good restaurant at cafe prices. Really enjoyed the salmon today. Well done chef 5*****

Visited today with my partner and daughter on a friend’s recommendation and we’re so glad we did. We chose from the specials blackboard, seabass with mash, tender stem broccoli, mussels in a fish veloute. The whole dish was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. We also sampled the salmon linguine, huge chunks of salmon in a gorgeous Prosecco sauce, £9 for the dish, easily double the price anywhere else. My daughter is a very fussy eater and eats a limited diet so she had the scrambled eggs, they were cooked perfectly for her. We also ordered a goats cheese salad to share, once again it was perfect. The lady server was delight, singing away as she worked, and we could see the chef was working alone in the kitchen, taking it all in his stride, absolute compliments to them both. We’re going to make a point of visiting again to support this fantastic independent business. Thank you.

Came with my mum for late lunch because she’d recommended it and it was amazing! The food is so good… I had the best leek and potato soup I’ve ever had which came with a cheese toastie and mum had the haddock, which she loved so much. It’s like going to a fancy restaurant but in a cute and decent priced café!! My only suggestion is to include a vegan meal option or make it more obvious if there is one (I couldn’t see it anywhere). Thank u very much was lovely.

We have eaten breakfast here a few times. It has always been okay. It is convenient and fairly reasonably priced. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed at our most recent visit. We were very hungry and it was quite a long wait for he food to arrive. The veggie breakfast was deplorable. Overcooked sausages and real lack of care in the way it was delivered. Overcooked tinned tomatoes and it all tasted as if it had been held under the heat for a while. When we asked for butter for our toast the waitress said............'it's on it' and walked away. I left the sausage as it was overcooked and inedible. When I went to pay I said.............very politely.........I would like to leave some constructive feedback. I carefully chose my words . The waitress looked at me and said...............'You're entitled to your opinion.! Then she turned away. Seriously disappointed. I would never have posted a negative review but her attitude left me no option. We have now found a much better cafe at 2/3 of the price with delicious food and a cheerful smiling team.

I was strongly recommend that it was good in The Brew Cafe, but I and my friends were very disappointed with the amount of time it took to receive the food and quality. I was very hungry be the time I received it so I eat it and left but my 2 friends could not eat it!

Overall enjoyed the experience. The only 2 down sides were: felt rushed to order and food needs more seasoning. Other than that, would recommend a visit. Parking can be taken on the main road but use the side/back streets and walk round.

We are never disappointed when we eat here. We had the best Sunday Lunch. The food was so well presented, tasted as good as it looked. The whole meal cooked to perfection. The homemade cheesecake was bursting with flavour.

The owner is such a lovely and welcoming gentleman. Nothing too much trouble. The food is good value for money, well cooked and reasonably sized portions.

Extremely lovely food with just as lovely service. I would highly recommend the chicken Caesar salad, perfectly cooked tender chicken with the most beautiful homemade Caesar sauce. Incredible value for money made by an a talented chef!

Comimos aquí por recomendación de mi hija mayor y valió la pena la larga (más o menos) espera. Fui por el desayuno vegetariano que era grande y muy bien preparado con huevos escalfados un toque encantador. Mi hijo mayor comió un gran trozo de pollo con muchas verduras cuidadosamente cocidas. El más joven comió unos adorables tagliatelle de pollo. Todas las raciones eran grandes, pero críticamente la comida era fresca y hecha a mano. Nos disculparon por la espera y el servicio fue bueno. Todo el lugar estaba limpio al igual que los baños. Muy recomendable y con un precio inferior a 30 para la comida de alta calidad.

The food was amazing again been a couple of times and excellent fresh home cooked food, better than a lot of top restaurants in Bournemouth.

I’m abit of a breakfast connoisseur and this has by far been the best breakfast in many years. Very good price as I can be price sensitive to a brekkie. Poached egg instead of fried too which makes such a difference. Will deffo be back!

Stumbled across this cafe while getting a puncture fixed at Kwick fit and it’s a truly great cafe!Breakfast all day and the specials are really good, my wife had the lamb stew whilst I had Beans and Sausages on toast which was very very good!Good service and very reasonable pricingI would highly recommend

The food was delicious , sea bass perfectly cooked. The roast pork , with braised cabbage ....unbelievable! Tiramisu so wonderful , bought 4 extra slices to take away. Friendly service , incredible prices , we will be back as soon as we can ❤

I went to the brew cafe today to meet my son for lunch,the food was amazing, my son who is a food conisour said I could eat here everyday, the staff were really friendly and personable and the food was excellent value for money.

Have been in this lovely little place a few times now and love it because it is Dog friendly aswell. Decided we would go for Sunday Breakfast, something we don't often do, we looked up the time of opening and arrived at just after 9am to find it still closed, eventually a very friendly young lady opened the door and let us in, she explained the Chef wasn't there yet and if we wanted to wait then that would be fine, we had a coffee and it was gone 9.30 and still no Chef, she said he had a long journey in and had run out of Sausages so was trying to find some, not sure why he waited until Sunday morning to do this though, by 9.45 he still wasn't there and we were getting hungry and a bit annoyed and the lady said he would have to prepare things when he go there so we would have a bit of a wait even after he arrived. We said we could not wait any longer and she suggested a place nearby and we went there and had a great Breakfast. Note to owner, If you say you open at 9am on a Sunday then be there earlier to get ready for busy Sunday mornings, though to be honest not a soul came in all the time we were there but the place up the road was packed, so in fact he is losing business, sorry Brew Café we probably wont come for Sunday Breakfast again as this has put us off.

Excellent food, cooked to order. Menu changes each week, such great value for money. Try it, your be surprised how good the food is. Better than a lot of restaurants. Not your average cafe. Great service too.

This is an update.I have been to this place many times since my last review "What a Find!"I love the food so much that I visited with friends for my birthday lunch. Much to our surprise, they had decorated the table with balloons and a vase of tulips. The food was fresh and delicious as always.

A great lunch lovely food and a reasonable price, definitely will be going again. Easy access with car park nearby. Plenty of tables very nice waitress and very friendly. Loo was absolutely spotless.

If you want an excellent meal of gourmet quality for less than a tenner inclusive of a drink you need to visit here. Service is good and friendly and the menu although limited, varies every week. The accommodation is a bit basic but not uncomfortable and the tables need a surface that does not become sticky even when clean. Well worth the visit.

Popped in here today on our way home from a weekend in Bournemouth, and what a great find! The food was superbly cooked and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was that it was a bit cold as some idiots had broken in and the door didn’t shut properly. Obviously not the fault of the owners though.We will definitely be coming back!!

I came in earlier this year and wrote a review where I complained about the waiting time and suggested they get more staff. Now that I've been in again I can appreciate why that might not be feasible from the owner's perspective because it was packed when I went in at lunchtime, yet by the time I'd left and the morning rush was over the restaurant only had a few customers remaining. I waited twenty minutes for my breakfast which was understandable and to be fair the wait was worth it because it was a quality breakfast and expertly cooked. I'm sure I'll be back before long and I'll be more patient! This is a great place for an English breakfast.

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends and was very impressed. Excellent food, interesting menu, very friendly people. If this restaurant was in the centre of Bournemouth, it would be packed every day. Just remember to take your own booze.

Great cafe with friendly service and amazing food at very reasonable prices! The breakfasts lunches and daily specials are always cooked to order with good quality ingredients and presentation is of the food is excellent. Today we had the pot roasted beef which was amazing!

Amazing home made cook to order lunches at around £6.00-£6.50 that you’d go out in the evening and happily pay £15 for, see photos. Quality, taste and presentation are perfect. Breakfasts are high quality with butchers sausages and perfect poached eggs and nicer bread than cheap cafes. Ive eaten here at least 20 times, sorry for the late review!

We've recently moved in a few doors down and this is by far the best little café you've never heard of.The all-day breakfast(s) are easily the tastiest in town, plus a great selection of daily specials using fresh, quality ingredients.Atmosphere is local, friendly and very relaxed.

I usually frequent this great hidden treasure with my uncle Ieuan..the food is prepared very well.. yes it does take a little longer to come to you're table but that is the price you pay for decent cooked, prepared and fresh food.. menu is very good and price is exceptional.. let's just not tell too many people about it cause we're never get a table.Thanks guys.

I came here for an English breakfast a while ago and had to wait twenty minutes before the waitress even took my order. The breakfast was good but the waitress was clearly struggling to cope with the volume of customers. On my next visit last week it was the same scenario - The place was almost full and there was one girl struggling to deal with all the customers. After twenty minutes I still hadn't been asked what I wanted so I left. This place needs another waitress.

I wanted to treat my dad to a nice lunch and had been recommended to go here. This was our first time and I have to say, this has to be the best cafe I've eaten at in a while. The quality of the food was perfect, full of flavour and definitely not your typical greasy cafe. Restaurant quality food for a very reasonable price. We are converted regulars now! Situated in the heart of Pokesdown this really is a diamond in the rough, clean and cosy there is a good selection of beverages, but the real pull is the food...Freshly sourced ingredients perfectly prepared and cooked by the experienced chef gives the Brew cafe its wow factor, and with the specials menu changing weekly you're sure to join the growing group of growing regulars!!Very resonably priced!

I was in a business trip and tight with time ,so I needed a nice cup of coffee but NEVER IN THIS SHOP!It was so bitter and awful taste that destroyed all my day....I dont think its a first complaint about coffee in this shop... just change it...Food looks temppting but no time to try...

I had the goats cheese salad which was to die for and liked that vegetarian dishes were offered. My partner had the chicken pie which he found delicious. The atmosphere was friendly and staff very helpful. One of Bournemouth’s best kept secrets I think.
