The Breakfast Club in Croydon

Nice place and great service but breakfasts way too expensive for a diner, it has higher prices than some plush restaurants we go to. Unfortunately one and only visit.

The food doesn't taste nice The chicken has no seasoning and the pancakes are yeah they’re not good at all. The bacon are okay. I waited for so long to get my food and it’s cold and for the food to come and the chicken is not seasoned. That’s not really good. and I requested a waffle, and instead I got a pancake

Wasn't open on Saturday, confusing as to where it is even located.

The pancake American style was certainly successful, but the other (advocado with toast) was less layered. Ordered a children's menu for £5, which included warmed-up bread with two pieces of butter. The appearance was mediocre and unfortunately the food (except for the pancakes) was just as disappointing!

Really enjoyed this little breakfast place. Tasty food options and really friendly staff. I think this is a great addition to East Croydon.

Frankly not good enough. Paid 2.50 for 1 sausage and 2.50 for about 8 slivers of small mushrooms. The main breakfast came on a halfsize bread plate. The flavours were OK apart from the beans. The service is good. Management of breakfast sort your portion sizes out they are tiny and NOT WORTH IT

went there on 8th December for a birthday breakfast, booked a table in advance. the food was delicious and the staff very friendly they even brought out my daughters birthday cake singing happy birthday. Thanks to sll the Staff

Went on a Saturday morning with our adult daughter. Food was good for me but my wife and daughter weren't that impressed. I've still given it a 4 star for food as I liked mine. Place is small and tbh was quite hard to find. My daughter is in a wheelchair which wasn't a big hassle and staff helped, but the toilets are on the other side of Boxpark so go before you go in if you need to relieve yourself or you will need to walk all the way back and down stairs. Service was patchy. Some good, some rather slow but was friendly, if not always that helpful. Atmosphere was not one I can describe. Not bad, but felt alot like an old fashioned breakfast cafe but with YAs and families instead of workies. Prices are OK. If you are in Croydon it is a decent choice, but hard to find parking so would not go over there just for this place (which is what we did).

Got turned down at 13:50 as they couldn't take any more orders 70 min before closing time.

Good place for breakfast next to East Croydon station. Quite a variety to choose from and all very good. High prices but friendly and polite service.

I wanted this breakfast plate before and the right menu arrived. Even though I wanted the same menu, there were no eggs on the plate, no cherry tomatoes, and very little sauce on the bread. I didn't want onions but there were onions. I wanted to object but I couldn't see the staff. I was in a hurry and got up before finishing the plate. I paid £32. I don't plan on going again.

Met some friends here for brunch this morning. The Box Park is ideally located being right outside the railway station, so that's a win (and Croydon is so horrible, you really don't want to be wandering around). My daughter and I both had the chicken and bacon waffles except the waffle machine was broken down so we had pancakes instead. The panko coated chicken and gravy was decent enough; the bacon and bit dry, and the pancakes ok. Overall there's a bit of flavour missing and it felt a bit dry even with the gravy. Perhaps some beans? My wife had the dipping French toast fingers which was dry and disappointing. No hint of any egg. The fresh juices are decent. Coffee a bit on the cool side.

My 1st time ordering food was great, however I was a rip off when it come to the bottle drinks I ordered. Not advertised as that size very small and overpriced

After 25 mins after being seated and 4 front of house staff in a half empty restaurant no one served us. We walked out of the restaurant and no one had even noticed either. The funny thing was that I had made a joke when coming into the restaurant about sitting at the 'lucky table' for my birthday which ironically meant no one came to take the order 💁‍♂️.

Shocked they tried to charge us full price for an egg with a hair, a replacement that was inedibly over cooked. Waited way too long for the pleasure

Very unpleasant. Food is served in a very small dish, all pilled up and portions are very small. Ordered one portion of mushrooms extra and this meant 1 mushroom sliced up. Eggs were rubbery and tasteless. More tough uncutable bread than breakfast.

I love the All American Breakfast, they have changed the size of the pancakes but it's still very filling

We came here for breakfast which is located sneakily up the stairs in the Croyden BoxPark at the very back. It was really warm and busy so opted to sit outside, just to note if you choose this option you are given the order in a takeaway container and no alcohol is allowed. Using the QR code I ordered a beetroot chai latte with oat milk and then potato hash with chorizo, poached egg and avocado. It did feel like a long time the food was at least 25 to 30 minutes but we were hungry! The drink was very tasty but I felt like the way the egg had been poached reminded me of a McDonald's egg in its appearance and the takeaway boxes made it feel like a cheap fast good experience to which I'm not a fan. The flavours were good but considering we were a few paces away didn't quite comprehend why we couldn't be served with actual plates and cutlery. Overall an okay experience would possibly try inside next time if it's cooler and quieter.

Daylight robbery, I feel disrespected the way my order turned up - cold and missing items, a few things dashed on a takeaway plate, paid nearly £20 for a breakfast for one looking forward to it, I would not waste your money I genuinely feel robbed!! The lack of care shown for my food and the missing items, I would tell everyone to avoid!

Looking for a breakfast place local but delicious with a sprinkle of flavour on each bite. Yes yes this is the place. Fantastic service with even better food. So well seasoned and well prepared. You can tell the chef and servers started to day off with a good coffee ☕️

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning so it was nice and quiet. I ordered a full English breakfast but after ordering the waiter recommended I order some sourdough toast with it. I was thinking 'what'? The full English doesn't come with toast? It's not really a full English then is it? What's the world come to. Oh I know, it's shrinkflation. The staff were friendly and the service was good however, and the breakfast tasted nice. I would have preferred an extra egg and sausage as one of each isn't what I consider a full English, it's more like a half, especially without toast. Although they do serve potatoes with it, so I guess that's your carb fix. The coffee could be better too as it's nothing special, especially considering an Americano costs £3.45

I went to the BC in London Bridge once, and as I had a great experience I was hoping to enjoy this one as well. Much to my regret, it was not at all like that. The staff really looked like they did not want to attend us or work, the plates were a bit poor, and they run out of green juice and sausages. When I asked if I could replace them with Vegan Sausage, they tried to charge me for it. The poached egg and beans were cold. I remember the London Bridge's BC providing with more full plates and better service. A waste of money.

I was delighted to find this place on our last day in Croydon. We hadn't been to any of the branches of The Breakfast Club before and the Croydon one, on the first floor of Box Park, is ideally situated for breakfast or brunch before catching a train. I loved the rich, indulgent food and would definitely visit again. We loved the retro decor of this relaxed place and the staff were friendly.

Unplanned visit just happened to be near by however it turned out great. I recommend with 5 stars.

I recommend the avocado plate thing. Also cocktails are great. Coffee was ok. Not bad though.

Pancakes were so good my pancake was with maple syrup , Strawberries and powdered sugar and apple juice was so good

The food was good enough. However, the service was atrocious. We sat for 35 minutes before getting our order taken, then another 40 minuets before our food came. They served 3 tables that came in after us before us. The staff kept on saying “i’m sorry we’re so busy as it’s bank Holliday”, however the restaurant was at no point full, and they kept on cleaning tables instead of taking our orders. The food was only just warm when it arrived & we were late for our appointment after due to the wait. We were going to ask a waitress for another drink while we waited for the food, but before we could even get our words out she said “yeah your foods coming!” and then stormed off to the kitchen pass which she stood next to angrily for another 10 mins while waiting for our food.

A nice venue for breakfast in Croydon. Wouldn’t say it is phenomenal but there is good food to eat here. The coffee is fantastic and they grind their own coffee beans.

This is the 3rd time I have ordered my food from here via user eats and it is so delicious, never had 1 bad delivery, got my bf the same as me and he loved it! Will have to come and eat there one day soon!

PLEASE BE AWARE BEFORE COMING HERE. The prices are through the roof and they add an optional service charge without informing the customer which is illegal! When confronted the waiter who served me Marcus panicked and instantly offered me a refund. They overcharged me by £8.25 and also charged £64 for the breakfast which is understandable due to all their prices being clear. But the service charge is an optional service charge which they decided to add without informing me! I have reported this business, please stay away from such a scam as the food was nothing special.

The food was lovely. The only reason that I’m giving it 4 stars is because I felt anxious. It was so busy and people were queueing up by the door even though they had a booking and the whole thing felt a bit rushed. Normally when you have brunch you want to sit a bit and relax after your food but we felt like we were taking someone else’s place so left right after we ate. The staff were very polite. The prices as expected were a bit higher but it’s in central London so it’s expected I imagine. Not so much the food but the drinks e.g. tea, juices, milkshakes etc.

Perfect! We had all our breakfasts during our little vacation in this place and are delighted to have discovered this restaurant! It really puts a good mood in the morning and above all the food is really very good! The pancakes are to die for, it was really great! If you don't know where to have lunch, don't hesitate to go there :)! Oh, and it’s not expensive!

Always a great place for breakfast.

Took my partner for a quick Bday Breakfast, table was reserved and ready for us to be seated. Service from start to finish was excellent Adam and another lady were very informative on menu and had their recommendations that did not disappoint Pancakes are truly delicious and the fresh orange juice was so good, partner had the breakfast sandwich which again didn't disappointed he loved the fact he wasn't stuffed after and enjoyed his Free bday Smoothie.

Very disappointed. I’m normally very happy with food from Breakfast Club, normally ordered via Uber eats. Today, I received my eggs Benedict with almost no Hollandaise sauce, and cream and berries for my pancakes were fully frozen. Strawberries and cream had to go to the bin. So I had plain pancakes with some maple syrup. Very disappointing.

Great breakfast location with many different options and large portions which are good quality. I definitely had an 'eyes bigger than my stomach' moment here as I wasn't expecting good portions, but this place does not price gouge, you will leave full. Good tea and lovely service. Feels like a builders breakfast place with the chairs and tables, a nice cosy british feel to it.

I had scrambled eggs on toast it took an age to come. The toast was hard scrambled eggs was not the hottest it looked like the waitress didn't want to be there

Came here as I wanted to try their french toast which they had on their online menu. After sitting down with the menu I found out they didn’t no longer have this so just decided to get a takeaway coffee instead. This took ages and by the time I got it to takeaway it was cold. I was then also charged for service charge although I didn’t eat in. Would really think again about coming again in the future if I do so.

Just not up to scratch for the prices asked. Go try a local cafe. Order messed was messed up a couple of times. Cold eggs Benedict. Could see the food waiting on the line at least 5 minutes while my partner's full English was finished... Do the Benedict last please.

Always a really good feed here, with a range of simple and extravagant breakfast food (three best food). Also I love the décor, its like a cosy living room in the middle of Croydon. I only wish they served filter coffee for that all American feel...

Friendly helpful staff who greeted us and offered us drinks straight away. Quick service. Food was delicious and pentiful. Good prices for what you got. Coffee was really nice as well.

I do not think a business that is not a proper restaurant (let's get real this is essentially a cafe) should be applying a 12.5% service charge. Considering most people are there less than an hour just for a quick bite and coffee, it's taking extreme liberties considering it's not cheap in the first place. And for what service? Sitting down and taking an order? Should abolish this stealth charge. Even though it's technically "discretionary" it shouldn't be up to the customer to make a fuss to remove it. In all fairness food was tasty but expensive for the portion size.

Great service from start to finish but the food was very poor. I had the avocado smash with sourdough - unfortunately, you couldn’t taste the avocado due to the extreme amount of lemon/lime juice that was incorporated. Definitely not a place I would recommend nor go again - sry

The survice was amazing......took my mom here for her birthday, and she enjoyed every bit of it. She even got a complimentary drink. The breakfast was so delicious, we had to carry home the extra. We shall return.

Resturant smelt of wet dog very weird, male waiter walked away when I entered Resturant this morning but lady was nice and saw me to my table at least afterwards but welcome could of been better. Food took a very long time but at least drinks were nice and came fairly quickly. Food was very over priced for what it was and was cold. Presentation was very average and quality of flavours and ingredients low even greggs or subway are way better. Safe to say I won't be going here again or recommend to anyone please avoid.

Had a great visit with family, cant believe how delicious it was and we loved the atmosphere. Quite small inside for wheelchair users but the staff managed to accomodate my needs very well

Excellent all round. Food was of great quality. Many choices of drink and food. We had someone with allergies and the staff went above what was needed to make sure he wasn't at risk. Would Highly recommend to anyone who's stuck for ideas and on the way into central London as it's next to the train station.

I’ve been here once before but today I took my teenager. He had pancakes and wolfed them down so fast! He said they were the BEST. I had my usual avo, egg and cheese sandwich with hash browns and a latte. Delicious!

Sorry to say i feel this place is very overrated i don't mind spending money on good food but £40 + for undercooked poached eggs and a little fry up was not the highlight of my day. Won't be returning and i think I've been put off poached eggs for life 🤮

A mixed bag - good food but some elements really hot and others cold - coffee tepid. Staff very obliging and happy to warm everything up but my beans were fridge cold!

The staff were attentive and helpful. Plus it was quiet considering it was Saturday brunch time. The menu seems limited compared to the Battersea branch.

Love this place! Always my go-to for a catch-up with friends. Had breakfast/brunch here many times now and the food is amazing.

Absolute rip off. We went for breakfast a few weeks back with the family. Whilst the food quality was good, portion sizes were stingy and certainly not worth the £100+ for 4 of us. Will find a local cafe instead which does a decent sized English breakfast.

Food quality is fairly good, but extremely over-priced. The price does not match the quality or compete in the area.

Spend £60 on a meal and they can’t change over the couple streaks of bacon to not even 1 sausage

Took an hour to get a breakfast roll and a side of berries. Manager then seemed to be annoyed at the fact we asked for a refund on a side of berries.... won't be returning.

This is very late 😔. Visited here for a friend's birthday brunch. I ordered a Fried chicken Rancheros but some wires got crossed and after a bit of a wait (it was manic that day the place was so packed) I received the Chorizo Rancheros! I don't eat pork😅. I let the staff know and bless them they felt so bad and correct my order and didn't charge me. Lovely place hard working staff good food what more could you want. Thanks to Gabe,Pawel,Lindon,David and our waitress Beth. Lovely experience ❤️

Wide variety of food choices but quality not so good from a taste perspective as well as food (5 people/meals) was cold. Some items not available and only pork-based meats served - no beef or chicken sausages. Friendly and efficient staff but for the cost of the meals compared to their taste, definitely over-priced.

Following a couple of recent visits with family and friends over the last few days, I was left really disappointed to see a material disparity in the consistency of the portion sizes served. In addition, I don’t think the vegetarian/vegan options are good value for the price point. A shame as this was a firm favourite of ours in the past.

We came to The breakfast club at around 12:20 and it was exceptionally busy. We got a table for 2 almost straight away, which we were very pleased about, despite the business. As soon as we sat down we got a drinks order in and Jack was very helpful informing me with the veggie options and letting me know if the cocoa powder was dairy free or not as i have a dairy intolerance. We ordered at 12:30 and our food came at My partner ordered The Big Stack and he found it was worth every penny. It tasted amazing and he couldn’t fault a single thing from it. I ordered the vegan All American and i found it was very nice, it was worth the price and it has a good sized portion of every item although i would recommend more fake bacon :) Over all: The Big Stack: 9:10 The Vegan All American: 8/10 The service: 9/10

Brilliant location and has own indoor seating. Brunch was amazing and the service top notch! We forgot we were in Croydon Boxpark for a couple of hours! Highly recommend.

Better than expected! Went for a weekday brunch/treat, didn't need to book but would suggest you check b4 going. The staff are quick and so friendly, full English (6 pieces) and 4 hot drinks cost around £40 for 2 people - not the cheapest but worth it. Something for everyone on the menu which has a good selection. They're happy to change bacon for sausage or hash for mushrooms etc without quibble, and eggs happily cooked to specification. The food was really fresh and very good sized portions. However there is limited availability of basic cold drinks and the choice is a bit over priced, there are no toilets inside so you have to walk a few minutes to the main pop up ones which isn't ideal, and although wheelchair accessible the layout could be tricky to manoeuvre around as the are coloums/pillars inside. Despite being busy its not cramped, and I didnt feel rushed at all. Child friendly and possibly ok to leave buggies in view/outside. Limited paid parking nearby but easily accessible by train, tram, ample buses and a nice walk to/from the town centre. Even in the recent cold blitz it was cosy and warm inside so big coats are not needed!

One of the best restaurants for a pancake lover like me! The staff are very organised and customer service is commendable.

It's was just what I missed for long time ,all true fresh food , the best place for starting the day with healthy food, the total paid was correct and acceptable ,I spent more money and I wasn't happy in other places , service and food well done , I'll back again and again💕

Croydon's best kept secret. See if you can find it. Excellent service and food. Would definitely recommend it, but not the cheapest full English breakfast I've had, although worth every penny 🤗🍽👍

Want to give a massive well done to the team working Sunday 30th October. Kept smiling despite it being very busy and potentially short staffed. Efficient and hard working. Food was absolutely fantastic but seeing the FOH team pull together and not let sickness effect service deserves some recognition. Will be back

I used to love this place but in the last year's they increased the prices and reduced their "protein". Twice I order chicken waffle and twice I got a very small piece of chicken for a whopping £16 + £3 extra If you want bacon on top. Absolutely too expensive for what it is. Sorry.
