I had scrambled eggs on toast it took an age to come. The toast was hard scrambled eggs was not the hottest it looked like the waitress didn't want to be there

Came here as I wanted to try their french toast which they had on their online menu. After sitting down with the menu I found out they didn’t no longer have this so just decided to get a takeaway coffee instead. This took ages and by the time I got it to takeaway it was cold. I was then also charged for service charge although I didn’t eat in. Would really think again about coming again in the future if I do so.

We came to The breakfast club at around 12:20 and it was exceptionally busy. We got a table for 2 almost straight away, which we were very pleased about, despite the business. As soon as we sat down we got a drinks order in and Jack was very helpful informing me with the veggie options and letting me know if the cocoa powder was dairy free or not as i have a dairy intolerance. We ordered at 12:30 and our food came at My partner ordered The Big Stack and he found it was worth every penny. It tasted amazing and he couldn’t fault a single thing from it. I ordered the vegan All American and i found it was very nice, it was worth the price and it has a good sized portion of every item although i would recommend more fake bacon :) Over all: The Big Stack: 9:10 The Vegan All American: 8/10 The service: 9/10

Fabulous staff and lovely food. Popped in unexpectedly but really pleased I did. Blueberry pancakes with bacon and maple syrup were amazing.

Came here on a Sunday morning quite excited to eat having had a great meal, drinks, and excellent service at a very busy Hackney Wick Breakfast Club a month ago, we expected a similar level of quality, experience, and service. How very wrong could we be. Firstly, quite a few menu items were not available including ruby slaw, avocado fries, “gherkins/pickled chilli’s” (which later found out they did have as they were served with my burger but was given the excuse, they didn’t have any when I questioned where the garnish was on my Bloody Mary). One of the members of staff was incredibly nice, well-mannered, and friendly, however, the rest of the team seemed clueless, lazy, and haphazard. He made as much effort as he could to make our meal enjoyable, but the rest of the team let him down. We waited ages (circa 15mins) to get served when the restaurant was only a third full and I eventually had to overtly grab their attention to save waiting a further eternity. One female member of staff just seemed to wander around doing nothing. We waited the best part of 15mins for our drinks to come out to find my Bloody Mary had no garnish as advertised. At Hackney Wick BC, it was served with a big stick of celery, fresh basil, a pickled chilli, pickled baby onion, and gherkin in a nice big Stein glass. Here it came with zero love, zero garnish, no straw. When I queried it, the waiter said he’d check and when he returned, he explained they’d run out of garnish. Clearly a lie from the lazy bar staff as my burger came with 2 out of the 5 garnishes. To add to the terrible service, they served the Chicken Burger, Buffalo Loaded Fries and “Lord of the Wings” telling us the avocado on toast would be 2-mins. We waited a further 25-mins for the avocado on toast by which time my food was going cold, so I had to start. The well-mannered and friendly waiter was so apologetic, explaining the kitchen had forgotten to add the eggs (didn’t realise it takes 25-mins to poach an egg, maybe they were waiting for the hens to produce it) and asked if he could get us a drink on the house. Having sorted an oat latte his supervisor/manager then got moody about it. Had I not been so exhausted and had the energy to complain I would have asked them to take the service and late food off the bill as it was simply textbook appalling service. Hindsight, I wish I had complained to the manager, but I can imagine I would have just got a fat dose of attitude back. As for the quality of the food… The burger was a solid 3.5/5. The loaded fries were ok, a 3/5 and the wings were awful, a 1/5. Would NOT recommend the wings. The sweetcorn was ok. The sourdough was burnt and unbuttered, avocado looking past its best (turning brown), however the egg was poached well - egg yolk still runny. Overall, I’d highly recommend NEVER coming here unless the management sorts out the issues with quality control, service, stock takes, training bar staff to make drinks correctly and the kitchen on timing and preparing food to ensure all plates go out together (not 25mins apart). Terrible experience. The only positive was the friendly and polite waiter, although this didn’t make up for the awful service. Food 3/10 Drinks 2/10 Service 1/10 Decor 4/10 OVERALL 2/10

Before heading back to Devon, this was the last part of our lovely mini break. We sat in the sun with delicious brunch dishes and cold beer & cider. The menu is extensive so it’s really hard to choose but we chose well with a Croque Madam and poached eggs & maple bacon on sourdough with a side of hash browns. We were welcomed warmly by Roxy and served by Amanfi whose smile brought even more sunshine. He told us it was his first day and we are sure that he will be a great asset to a fantastic place 😊

What has happened to The Breakfast Club? Half the menu was missing. Service is non existent (yes gratuity is charged). Food is not even close to what it once was. Have they sold the franchise? Changed of ownership? Whatever has happened, it's a significant decline in quality. Would not bother returning if you paid me to.

Came here on a Tuesday morning for a ‘treat’ breakfast with my husband. Treat it was not. There are two members of waiting staff sort of trying and doing the best they probably could. One with a bad attitude and frankly lazy. We had to ask for a coke and coffee twice, as it never came. These still hadn’t arrived when our food had- sorry- my husband’s food, as mine wasn’t ready at the same time, and they’d forgotten the toast. You can see the charred bit of bacon in the pic. No one bothered to bring cutlery, I got it myself. No one asked if we wanted sauces. No one asked if the meal was ok. It wasn’t. It was cold and they hadn’t even managed to bring them at the same time. We sat, like many others had to, among our dirty plates and cutlery for ages. Had to get up to draw attention to the fact that we had to pay the bill and get on with our lives. I did ask the service charge to be removed, but no one questioned why. Honestly was a real shambles, if you’re going for the rubbish cafe vibe then your prices need to reflect that.

Booked this after seeing it on Tiktok and would defiantly go back. The food was phenomenal and the staff were supper friendly as well.

Have had amazing experience at TBC, Hackney in my last two visits and that is why planned to visit TBC Croydon. Unfortunately, the whole experience turned out really disappointing. The main highlights were- restaurant understaffed! ( quite common nowadays in many restaurants across London). But this cannot be an excuse for bringing out burnt food from kitchen. Long waiting time to get food on table( waited for a good 30mins); those who came after us, ordered food much later than us were served first, dunno why!! Food served cold ( was resting on service counter for about 10mins). One of the dishes was Disco Hash, our all time favourite, was total flop- soggy potato, no crunch, onions & jalapeño missing! Second dish- fried chicken with brioche- cold chicken & burnt brioche, just couldn’t eat the second toast as it was nicely charred. We could not eat both the dishes. Best bit, we asked for water 3 times but not a single glass served! :) But, the good bit was- upon complaining, disco hash was replaced( this one was no good either!) What I really appreciated was that the Manager did not charge us for the food at all. We insisted to pay for our 2 coffee and 1 juice which we consumed but they were kind enough to decline that too. So thank you for this gesture, much appreciated! Sorry TBC Croydon, came with high expectations but was really disappointed!

The food here is delicious! The selection on the menu is great and the portions are very decent sizes. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the whole atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and relaxed, it feels like you’re sat at your friends kitchen table enjoying some yummy cocktails! Definitely one of the best places for breakfast in Croydon

The food was decent but unfortunately, because I had recently visited the London Bridge location, I felt the quality wasn't as good. Weirdly the menu is different which was a tad disappointing but if you've not visited another location previously you'll likely enjoy it. Decent food, nice smoothies, and the staff are friendly and informative. Pretty chilled vibes and decent value.

Its always a great start at the breakfast Club before going to London. The menu has something for everyone. The Service is friendly and quick. I would not wait in a long queue for this, but I always return with a reservation.

Visited from up north, myself and my sister ordered breakfast in from Croydon shop. Delivery took ages and the driver gave half our order to another customer. I don’t feel breakfast club did enough to rectify the issue and requested that we re order again on deliveroo. There was no good will gesture or any form of good customer service. Poor service all round. Massively dissatisfied

I love food from this place but had physical nausea after biting into something rock hard when eating a pancake with a plastic aftertaste. Pictures attached. Not nice or cool at all.

We often eat at the breakfast club but this morning we had the worst experience at the Breakfast Club in Croydon Boxpark. We went with our Son who is 18months old. There were no high chairs but they happily seated us. The woman managing was loudly moaning about staff who had taken unauthorised toilet breaks & storming around the restaurant in a huff. It was very unwelcoming & unprofessional. Generally making it a bad atmosphere.

Busy Saturday, 20min wait for table for 2, this was ok as we left our number and received a rext when our table was ready. Ordered breakfast and pancakes and water, a simple order. Our breakfast arrived, without water, we finshed and still no water, we asked for our water and both cups never arrived. The manager asked how was our breakfast, which was lovely, it would've been nice to have a drink to go with it. Would return as the manager was really nice and apologised for the lack of water! Would return as Breakfast club is a nice place to eat.

Breakfast is fantastic! They sell good quality beer for £4 a pint and have a 2 for 1 happy hour everyday 5-7pm. Incredible value for money, as you can take the beers away to drink in the main boxpark area, which saves a fortune! Fill your boots.

I went here for brunch with my friend. The food was great however, the service was horrible. I explained to my waitress that I would like to return the Espresso Martini I had ordered as I was not able to consume alcohol, which on my behalf was MY mistake however, my waitress Hannah P was very rude in terms of dealing with the situation as she had an attitude. Subsequently the shift manager spoke to me and said that they were unable to dispose of the cocktail as the ingredients were too expensive, I challenged his claim as it was MY consumer right to return the product as I had not touched it whatsoever, although I was more than happy to pay for the cocktail if that was their main concern. I then ordered a fresh mint tea in lieu of the cocktail and I had received a lemon and ginger tea. This is harmful because what if I had an allergy to lemon or ginger? I understand that there were only two floor staff however, there was only 4 tables, please be more mindful towards your customers. I would like to express my gratuity to Terrell as he was very polite. I won’t be rushing to come back to this branch of Breakfast Club again though.

Had a breakfast here with colleagues before a meeting and it was great! I had a suasage, egg and cheese breakfast club sandwich which was actually in a bun, 2 hash browns and a latte. This was an offer for £8.50 and was lush. Lovely waitress who realised we were paying individually without actually being told and sorted out the bills separately without having to be asked. Loved the retro decor and music. Felt authentic and not contrived like many themed places.

Just next to the station, in Boxpark, there is the breakfast club: Great choice of breakfasts. Pancakes are exquisite. A bit too overpriced.

Two friends and I stopped by a couple of times during my visit to Croydon and really enjoyed it. A very relaxed and funky atmosphere, loved the eclectic decor. Our first visit was busy and we had a ten minute wait outside on the veranda. Was good to see you could order and it was brought outside to you, but we sat inside. They have vegan/vegetarian options on the menu which my friends said were delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my Cabbies Breakfast the first visit and the bacon and egg with avocado sandwich the second. The coffee was hot and good with alternative milk options. The staff were attentive without being overbearing and we enjoyed a relaxing start to the day. Definitely will return.

I’m gluten free and you get a great choice here. The food today was really delicious. You can sit outside on the deck if sunny or inside which has a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and great service. Honestly couldn’t fault it. Will be back!

I wanted to stay and eat all day and waste my sunday but as its such a desirable breakfast place I wanted to give my table up to one of the many hungry folk waiting patiently to be seated. The American breakfast is incredible, brought to me by Joshua who was fantastic to talk to and a great host and salesman. He brought my attention to the Juice special offers they have. You seriously have to work your way through their healthy juice menu, blinkin lovely, in my head they cancel out the delicious naughtiness of the breakfast that I covered with beautiful syrup.

My husband had a flat white that tasted like battery acid. We complained and the drink was replaced three times, always with another burnt, equally terrible coffee. Customer service is great and that’s where it ends. We both ordered the Reggie the Veggie but when it was served, it was more Reggie, wtf is this!?

We sat outside as it was a reasonable day weather wise. However, outside, they serve everything take-away style which seems a bit of a waste. We ordered and paid inside, giving a reference to our table number.

Now like everyone I like a good cooked breakfast. In general most breakfasts in most places are acceptably pleasant. The breakfast club takes breakfast to the next level. Al be it slightly higher in price the breakfast is amazing. Choices for all the family with certainly portions to fill even the hungriest of people. The food was excellent quality and plentiful. Their signature pancakes are almost as good as American style buttermilk pancakes and watching families around me seeing them tucking in with joy says they taste as good as they look. I had the full breakfast and I must say I lapped it up.

Been there several times, food is good, service more like non existent. If you like being ignored this is a place to go. We asked a staff member to serve only 1 toast with a meal, she refuses to do so! What a food waste! We didn’t asked her to charge as less and it’s been explained, she was still refusing to. After that we never seen her. If you wanna get served you have to waive. We waive for a sauce, for a drink (still didn’t get it), for a bill as well. They charge you 12.5% service charge, when there is no service. We asked to remove service as it is optional, waiter didn’t even asked us why.

Theres a wide selection on the menu and something for everyone to try. It is always busy and a constant flow of customers. I recommend the Elvis milkshake and the fried chicken burger which has some kind of spicy pickle in which was delicious. The only downfall is the service is very slow here. The guy sitting next to us chased his order 3 times.

I’ve been to other branches of the breakfast club but this Boxpark one is really pretty good. It’s upstairs in Boxpark so not among the smaller food units downstairs.

Visited here for my friends birthday and we was not disappointed! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The food is absolutely delicious I’d recommend the pancakes with berries! The drinks are great as well and all for an affordable price! Will be recommending and will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts today - my youngest daughter had the salted caramel pancakes (awesome!), my eldest had the Mexican Breakfast Burrito (amazing) whilst my husband and I shared the Eggs Royale and the cooked breakfast. Both so delicious. The service was friendly and helpful, it’s worth noting that there was a delay in us getting our breakfasts however the way this was handled by the restaurant was a credit to them - hence the excellent star rating.

Having travelled past Boxpark hundreds of times, we finally ventured off the train and headed in for breakfast. Although Boxpark was open, I was surprised how many of the units weren't open for breakfast. However, we'd specifically seen Breakfast Club on the website so headed in. A friendly welcome and we were shown to a shared table seating 6 (only 2 of us) which was fine. The breakfast selection is diverse from a full English to a full American (recommended!!) and anything in between! The shakes are amazing; peanut butter and banana was a good choice although a stingy portion at nearly £6! The waitress we had (Eni??) was adorable; really passionate and full of enthusiasm. Food turned out quickly and was....good. Nothing amazing. With service, the bill came to £38 for 2 which is pricey for what we had.

We seemed to have got really lucky as our food was really nice! The staff were really bubbly and willing to help, service was quick which was a plus as we was going into London for the day. We had reserved a table although that was necessary as it was quite empty (10:30am Tuesday) the only thing that wasn’t that great was my poached eggs, they tasted and felt like rubber but my bf’s scrambled eggs looked really nice but it might just be a poached egg problem but other than that it was great. My bf also said his chocolate milkshake was the best he had ever had.

Its the only option for breaky/brunch in Box Park on a weekend so be prepared to wait! We were told 20mins. Sure enough, 20mins we were called in. I had a simple but very tasty sausage bap. My partner opted for a very generous portion of avocado, poached eggs and salmon on toast. Teas and OJ’s for £30 for 2 of us. Staff were friendly and there was a great atmosphere. We’ll be back for sure!

We visited for a Sunday morning Breakfast, had to wait 40 minutes for a table, the service was slow, the food and drinks served cold, for all the hype, it never delivered - save yourself £50, go elsewhere.

I went here with some friends purely for the pancake challenge in pancake day, there was a bit of a wait as the place was very very busy but the was a bar just outside to wait in.

Happy to wait 30mins for a table on Mothers Day, my partner had been before and raved about it and the queue was managed pleasantly and effectively. 'Station prices' for a hot chocolate each was only to be expected (£3.20) as we sat in the tent opposite.

Brilliant variety of food but not hot enough for my liking. Staff are lovely and orange juice was yummy. Not the cheapest either

Visited with some friends for cocktails, service was slow even though we were the only table. We had to go up and order our own drinks even though the server seated us at the table with menus, and we were the only people in the place. We were basically left to our own devices. The staff waved rude gestures to us as we left because we were deliberating whether to pay service charge or not, considering the lack of. I cannot comment on the food as we didn’t eat here. Personally, I wouldn’t go back, as the service was substandard and the cocktails were average.

Way overpriced for the quality of the food, ordered food with a specific dietary need and they couldn't even tell me what was in it.

The Breakfast Club is certainly one of the better places to eat in Boxpark Croydon and for those with big appetites this is for you, especially those aged 60+! The OAP special (listed at the right hand side of the menu) offers 50% off any of the Club Classic dishes. The Full Monty leaves little to the imagination but consists of 2 rashers of bacon, 1 sausage, black pudding, 2 eggs cooked to your specification, a generous helping of fried potatoes, mushrooms, tomato, baked beans, toast and lashings of butter! All good quality! Normally £10.95 but half price for the over 60’s! A bargain! This isn’t the place to go for your wedding anniversary as furniture is basic and music a bit loud but for an all day breakfast blow out it takes some beating! Recommended with a Bloody Mary!

Came here on a sunny Saturday morning looking for something to cure the hangover.

The food was good i am giving this 2 stars as a waiter cleaned the tables next to us and squirted disinfectant spray on my arm and quite possibly contaminated my food as well. Thought and care should be given when cleaning tables with other people sitting next door.

this place thrives on selling the American Dream to Londoners - pretending to give you an all American start to the day - you get dishes with really attractive Yankee names that get the saliva juices streaming.......

My partner and I looked up The Breakfast Club and thought would try for late morning breakfast.

The only reason I gave this a one out of five is because the service was good. If it wasn’t for that they would get zero. The food was absolutely awful apart from the toast. What’s up with putting a pesto in the breakfast potatoes?

Quick service, nice atmosphere inside with friendly staff who looked like they enjoyed working there. The place was pretty busy when we were there but everything looked organised and our order arrived quickly and without any mistake. I loved the berry pancakes and was impressed overall with the experience so will visit again for sure.

i came here for lunch with friends and was so excited to try the vegan pancakes as the description made them sound so amazing. they were stodgy and bland. i can’t fault the service as the waiter was very polite and helpful but if i’m paying £9.50 for pancakes i wouldn’t expect them to be undercooked and tasteless.

I have tried a few places that serve pancakes but the pancakes with berries were amazing. So fluffy and served with a great combination on berries.

Simple US diner effect without where the only cheese you will find is in your food! Got to love that! Looking for a sugar rush and a hint of decadence, pancakes, pancakes pankcakes. My fave.

Best pancakes in town. For any pancake lovers like myself I would highly recommend, only annoying thing is that you can’t change some of the sides for breakfast and the avocados come mashed with excessive lemon zest mixed together not my cup of tea. The American with waffles and berry pancakes are my top 2.

This was my second time for a business meeting/breakfast and overall it has been a good experience. Good food and coffees, friendly staff and convenient location as a stone away from East Croydon Train Station. I would def go back and would recommend the same if you are in need of a decent breakfast. There are decent options for vegans and vegetarians - so everyone is happy!

we were there about 10.00 and there was a good crowd there already, we were seated quickly though. i had pancakes and they were lovely, my husband had full english which he said was one of the best he’s had, my son had the vegan option which he said was great, would love to try again - open a branch in Cardiff please!

I am in regular customer of this establishment, I go there with my two sons friends and associates. The service is always excellent, but today it was outstanding.

Had one of the bennies and loved it. Had the chorizo option on cheddar waffle. Alex had bacon halloumi and fried egg roll. Great service. We sat outside which added to the experience. Will definitely return.

Despite my review score I like the breakfast club, they have very interesting and tasty vegetarian breakfasts. BUT, they cannot poach an egg! Every time I go, the egg is overcooked. On my last visit, the poached eggs on both dishes were hard.

Recommended by a friend who has been regularly but for myself couldn’t really see what the fuss was about - it was ok, the sausages were decent ones (herby/leek style I believe) and not cheaper style with low meat content but the eggs didn’t have much taste to them, bacon a bit dry and the freshly pressed orange juice didn’t taste quite as good as I’d expect compared to freshly squeezed as I’d anticipate from a dedicated breakfast place.

Visited with colleagues for a team meeting in he outside eating area. On a really hot day no shade was provided which made it quite uncomfortable. The selection of food and drink sounded appealing but the quality was not great. I had eggs benedict. The sauce was lack lustre, the eggs were over cooked and the ham was just plain weird. Poor value and really disappointed that all of our drinks came in “disposable” plastic cups.

Came here for a quick catch up with friends. Was a long work day and I was hungry. The aircon was on full wack and it wasn't a hot day, everyone was sitting in jackets freezing, even though most of us asked for it to be turned down. I ordered the all american meat and my friends ordered the veggie version. They were warmish but not freshly cooked warm if you know what I mean . The poached eggs were way over cooked, dry in the middle and rubbery on the outside and we got served our food extremely quickly so we knew they hadn't just been made. Pancakes were ok, again not fresh. It's overpriced for a reheated breakfast. I'd rather have gone to a greasy spoon. I know all these places are trying to hit a trend with Instagramers and this #foodporn craze but when you're producing microwave heated food to your customers and charging £12 you can expect a good review sorry.

Vor der Abreise noch schnell stärken im Box Park. Hatten von süß (Pankakes) bis herzhaft (Bratkartoffel mit Speck und Wurst) alles dabei. War nicht schlecht und auch das Ambiente und die Bedienungen waren in Ordnung, aber irgendwie waren wir uns einig das man es nicht ein zweites Mal braucht. Nehmen keine Creditcards sondern nur Cash!

Went for an early lunch (12 pm) the place wasn't that busy when we arrived (it is often packed) and we were seated straight away with menus, so far so good.

So the breakfast club became a hipster go-to as soon as they intro'd a fridge you have to walk through to get downstairs. Then it grew and units got smaller and we started seeing the name in more and more places. Each time the brand got watered down and now it has arrived in a container in Croydon Boxpark and it is just bad, like they couldn't be bothered anymore.

We ducked in here before a birthday out. We were seated and served relatively quickly. However, the food came out at different times and mine was only warm. As we were on a time limit we didnt bother to complain. The two of us had breakfast and coffees and it came to over 30 quid. Watch out for the upsells as what you thought was included probably isnt!

Situated upstairs in the Croydon boxpark, the restaurant was pretty quiet, even on a Saturday evening and we had no trouble getting seated. We very much enjoyed our halloumi burger and fried egg and sandwich plus two sorts of fries. The chocolate brownie and ice cream was a nice way to round off the meal. The music was a bit too loud but the volume did seem to reduce after a while.

I live in Croydon and have been here many times. The food is pretty good (if a little pricey) but it’s the bad service that annoys me every time.

Went there after a ridiculously long trip to and back to Gatwick. Needed something to eat so we stopped in at East Croydon. The chorizo eggs benedict was wonderful, really good mix of flavours. Fried potatoes cut a little too big and a little underdone, but still crisp and good for mopping things up. Good sausages, good bread... I wasn't too big a fan of the iced tea but my wife really liked it. Didn't have the service problems others have alluded to. But couldn't help but feel most of it would cost a couple of quid less elsewhere for as good a product.

Good quality food and ambience - however the cost of the food and drinks is very high. Also it was not busy at all but took a while to get served.

Had a nice visit with friends. Waited about 10 mins for a table which was fine. Nice food. Delicious espresso martini. Service was a bit slow and the drinks arrived quite a while after the food. Still enjoyable though and would like to return.

Found this place from its location to my hotel. Service was prompt (although there were only 3 other tables occupied) the menu is nice and simple and was well explained. Food was good quality and freshly cooked. Not the cheap but nice food.

The food is alright once you get a seat after a 40 minute wait in the queue. But to be fair, this waiting time is standard for The Breakfast Club.

Went along with my son on a cold Saturday afternoon....never been to Box Park before even though local to me.
