I've known about this chain for a while but was my first time going. After seeing tourists flock to it from different locations I thought it would be nice to have some brunch with a friend and see what it was like. The welcome was nice, staff polite and the venue itself was good. But the food was questionable which made me wonder why the hype? I assumed that the BC had these lines because the food was good but after my meal, trying drinks and even trying some of my friend's food I was genuinely confused. Do people literally go here because it's an 80s themed restaurant? Surely not. I had the club sandwich, it wasn't a typical club sandwich as in where you have an additional layer of bread but that wasn't really my issue. The way it was made was just bad. Huge chunks of chicken stuck between bread cut in to tiny triangles which made it hard to handle and it fell apart. The chicken was bland and a little under cooked, not raw but pinker than I would like, I'm not eating steak after all. Only just now realising what the fried green tomatoes were even in there, I thought it was some kind of potato cake but admittedly I'd never had fried green tomatoes so who am i to judge. My friend ordered scrambled eggs with vegan chorizo with a smoothie. She mentioned she thought the smoothie was a prepackaged bottle like innocent and now I see the menu, that yes that's exactly what she ordered so that's fair enough. But £6 for a £4 bottle of a pressed smoothie? Why the markup? For the labour of pouring smoothie from a bottle to glass?...I tried some of the chorizo and it was honestly no where close to what chorizo tastes like (not all vegan food can match exactly what the meat versions taste like but...) it just tasted like it had overdosed on cumin. The bread was one of the few things from the meal that I actually enjoyed. but let that sink in, one of the few things I enjoyed from my entire meal was the bread (repeated for effect). I know it sounds like a lot of complaining and it is, but I paid over £50 for 2 scraggly, untasty brunch meals, 2 mimosas and a smoothie and my opinion is that it completely wasn't worth it. An OK venue, good staff and sub par food does not make a good dining experience for me at that price. If you want to go somewhere that looks OK (literally nothing special), plays 80s music and eat overpriced and not particularly tasty food, then you'll LOVE it. Otherwise don't buy the hype. My regret mainly comes from the cost and the feeling that the food/ experience just wasn't worth it. I could have bought 1-2 weeks worth of food for that and cooked proper meals with more taste myself. But that's my big issue, if I'm going somewhere I don't want to buy prepackaged smoothies and pay a ridiculous price for it, I don't want to order food and for it to fall apart, and I want my food to taste good. That's pretty standard I think for a successful meal at a good restaurant. I might as well of gone to Nando's, dare I say it...or even Macdonalds. Sadly this was just a a huge no for me, I mean the lines i'd seen in the past gave me a completely different impression and I now realise it's just a tourist trap, or for "cool" kids who have no actual taste. I just felt like I needed to say something because it has this hype around it and I just don't understand why. Please can someone explain? I don't think I'll be coming back but thanks all the same.

Cozy breakfast place for the hungry! Pancakes seem to be their specialty, but we chose vegetarian breakfast sandwiches, and they were spicy and delicious. Real comfort food! Lattes were good and the orange juice was fresh and ice cold. A great way to start the day!

My family and I visited this cafe twice during our 3 day London stay. Great coffee, fantastic service. I got eggs Benedict the first day but had to go back for the berries and cream pancakes. If we ever go back to London, I'll be eating these pancakes again!

What an enjoyable experience! The music was so good that I couldn’t resist asking who curated the playlist. The atmosphere and vibe were absolutely unmatched. The food was fantastic, although my brother complained that the chicken was excessively greasy—so much so that when I took a bite, I gagged. Thankfully, my meal was delicious, and the drinks tasted freshly squeezed. I will definitely be returning.

We had high hopes, the person who sat us at our table had great energy. Unfortunately we did not have great luck going forwards. Our server was inattentive and not polite. We were sat right next to the till/menu storage and our server kept throwing menus into the box, almost hitting my friend each time. She could feel the wind from the menus being thrown. It took 25 minutes for our coffee to come and I could see them sitting on the counter ready to go for probably 5-8 minutes before our server brought them. Even after I asked, she walked by them 3 times empty handed and did not bring them over. Luckily our food was for the most party tasty. My friend’s fried eggs were not cooked to order (very underdone) and the fruit serving was very small and did not appear fresh. Overall, we did not feel welcomed by our server. The only saving grace was the man who seated us/said goodbye, and the totality of our meal being pretty good.

Been let down to many times here now unfortunately as when it is good it really is good. We have had to many things go wrong when ordering from this place and it’s not cheap.

We went to this place for breakfast on a Sunday morning and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes and the courtesy of the service. Highly recommended.

I'll start with the good points. Service is extremely friendly and welcoming ...and fast. (Quick turnaround = more money) Food was nice but very overpriced Poached eggs overcooked!! Prices are absolutely ludicrous We asked for toast and bread with our breakfasts...1 slice of very dry sourdough bread cut in half each was £2.00 per slice!!! Should really come with the breakfast 4 cherry tomatoes was also a stupid amount of money, much like the tea and coffee. £45 for breakfast for 2 I know rents and utilities are high but some of the prices here are just taking the mickey Overall - pleasant enough expensive tourist trap

Increasing the prices to keep up with inflation is one thing. Doubling it for no good reason is another. Not again for me.

Was kinda rushed towards the end, the sausage was flavourful and juicy!!! Bacon was overcooked personally was more like jerky :S. Pancakes were great very delicious. Would come back to try something else!

We had a great Irish breakfast. Filled the belly for the whole day. The staff were so pleasant. I would highly recommend it.

The waitress who served us never said anything like please or thank you, and behaved like we have infectious diseases and want to avoid us asap. When we left she even rolled her eyes over us. Restaurants like this should be ashamed of themselves.

My first visit to The breakfast club in Angel and it did not disappoint. The blueberry pancake stack with crispy bacon with maple sauce are the best. The staff made our visit even more special with their friendly professional manner. Cannot wait to return again .

Very good breakfast, we had the eggs benedict with bacon, truly delicious. the staff is Italian and very kind. The room is small but very nice and very bright thanks to the natural light that enters the center from the ceiling. I peeked at the neighbors' plates and the pancakes looked delicious, the dishes are very rich.

I had a great breakfast, and the pancakes were absolutely delicious, highly recommend you try them! (small tip if you are going for the pancakes I do suggest you share them as the portion is huge!) The staff were really friendly and full of energy. The only downside for me personally was the coffee, it wasn't too my taste however that's not a big deal I'll definitely try a different drink next time. Overall a lovely breakfast experience I would definitely come back.

The food was decent but the staff all seemed very hostile. They initially sat us with a random couple at the same table then seemed annoyed that we asked for our own table. It is a very cramped space.

This is an American-in-England breakfast oasis. MC, Mateo, and Gaia were amazing hosts. The food, presentation, and delivery are exceptional.

Not only is the breakfast slamming, the staff and the vibe is just fun! The breakfast was huge and delicious. And reasonably priced. But both the guys working there were so nice and had a great playlist on too!

Food was really good. The music was too loud you could not hear each other. They adjusted to lactose allergy. High service fees and then asked twice to leave the table while we were getting ready to leave..

Walked-in for lunch on a weekday, lucky to get a table right away. Nice and cozy restaurant up some stairs. The seating area is quite small and crowded. Food was quick and nice. Pancakes are really fluffy and nice. Great for a quick and straightforward brunch. A bit disappointed with the service, very nippy and short and didn’t feel very welcomed.

The best breakfast we had in London, and that's saying something. We got there when it opened because we'd read about how popular it was, and for good reason. The staff was delightful and the food delicious.

Very good place. We ate very well. Very clean toilets. Dynamyque server at the top. Negative point if you have to find one: it's a bit noisy. We were there at 8:30 a.m. and didn't wake up yet. Sinom go for it ideal for a little lunch

Top petit restaurant sympa où l’on peut se permettre un bon petit déjeuner sympa à l’anglaise. Il y avait du choix et nous ne nous sommes pas privés car tout donnait envie. Les pancakes étaient très bons. Le bacon par contre était plus salé que la normale mais cela se sentait moins en combinant le sucré salé. Petit déj à 9h mais la Clim était déjà à fond et bien pointée sur nous. Nos plats se sont très vite refroidis et nous aussi avions eu froid. Je recommande le resto.

Top nice little restaurant where you can enjoy a good, nice English breakfast. There was a choice and we didn't deprive ourselves because everything was tempting. The pancakes were very good. The bacon on the other hand was saltier than normal but it felt less with the combination of sweet and salty. Breakfast at 9 a.m. but the air conditioning was already on full blast and well aimed at us. Our dishes cooled very quickly and we too were cold. I recommend the restaurant.

Got the Fried Chicken Waffle and it tasted like dirty dish water. I ate like a quarter of it because I was so hungry but had to stop because I felt physically ill. Went here so many times and never had this experience, guess its gone downhill. The cocktail was nice tho so props to the bartender x

It can be often quite packed and finding a table can be challenging, but this is my place to go whenever I fancy a pancake and I highly recommend those with berries

One morning we left specifically to come and have breakfast here at The Breakfast Club and, once we arrived, we found a typical environment, very nice and well looked after. The menu is complete both for those who want the typical savory English breakfast and for those who want to enjoy fabulous pancakes! Delicious arabica coffee! Also a little advice, if you are Italian, take advice from the kind, professional and very nice Gabriele! Highly recommended place!!!!

I had a really nice time at Breakfast Club in Camden Passage. The food was yummy, and the place felt cozy. But the best part was Gaia, our waiter. She was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Her suggestions for what to eat were great too. If you're looking for a good meal with great service, I definitely recommend checking out Breakfast Club in Camden Passage, especially with Gaia taking care of you!

They offer a wide variety of breakfast options. Fast and friendly service. It is advisable to reserve, because it fills up easily, however, it caught our attention that if you do not attend they charge a minimum per person (although it is understandable).

Had the Full Monty breakfast. The portion was generous for the price. The eggs were cooked to order, the sausage, bacon, potatoes and hashbrowns were hot and tasty. The beans and mushrooms were a touch cold though, the latter feeling rubbery and not very flavorful, and the vine tomatoes, while fresh, could have spent a bit more time on the heat as they were practically unblemished. I can't comment on the pudding as it is not my area of expertise. I would still recommend this establishment, as the service and atmosphere was fantastic, but perhaps get a more narrow selection of food.

If what you are looking is American food, this is NOT your place. Has nothing American but a random picture of Elvis Presley. Pancakes super dry that you can buy at any Tesco. Super greasy potatoes. Overall heavy food but nothing American . Plus pricey, not with it at all

The food was expensive and to be honest not really amazing but large portions. I really don’t remember the coffee but I do remember the flies, so so many of them!

So the good things first: the food arrived about three minutes after we sat down, but it was all downhill from there. The all-day breakfast we ordered was about as good as any transport cafe, but smaller portions, with limp bacon, cheap sausages and a teaspoon of baked beans. We still had food on our plates 20mins later when the staff asked if we'd finished, which felt like an act of mercy on their part. Then as we drank our hot drinks a staff member returned, contactless machine in hand, to ask if we could settle our bill. Now we'd only been in there for 30mins by this point and I was surprised but said yes and paid. Five mins later, as we continued to drink our coffees, the staff member returned and said they would need the table. This is just 35mins after we walked in the door, and maybe just maybe I wanted to finish my drink and talk to my daughter without it all feeling like the F1 200mph breakfast-eating dash. The staff stared at us and made it very clear that our presence was not welcome, despite the fact we still had drinks and it had been less than 45mins since we arrived. Now, had they said on our arrival "You have less than 45mins to sit in our restaurant because our bosses have beaten it into us that our new corporate model demands rapid turnover of tables at the expense of any customer joy/relaxation/digestion" then at least I could have gone somewhere else and actually enjoyed brunch. It was a miserable, mean experience, and I throw no shade at the waitress who smiled and was seemingly just towing the company line.

Cannot fault the food. The service was abysmal though. From being told: “We need the table.” As soon as we had finished our food. From ordering double of something and being looked at in a funny way for the order. The waitress only spoke to me and wouldn’t even acknowledge my partner. It’s crammed in there. Seating could be better spaced apart. As we left there were a number of tables available. For being pleasant customers and spending close to £50 it just felt like a poor experience. The toilets downstairs are narrow. So is the staircase down to the basement. Outright claustrophobic down there. Drinks did not arrive before food. Warning this place is clearly over-hyping itself.

Small portion sizes, overpriced and mediocre food. I ordered the veggie breakfast and I believe Wetherspoons offers more variety of items cooked to a similar standard. The cooked breakfast doesn’t include toast? Seems a bit harsh considering it costs £14 for two eggs, mushrooms, tomato’s, two packet hash browns, facon and beans. Service was poor, we felt forgotten about and I even ended up serving our table some tap water after multiple attempts to get some to our table. The service was below average and when I commented on it being below par, there was no sincerity or attempt to apologise or understand our disatisfaction. When we said goodbye we were rather childishly sneered at by a staff member. The overall atmosphere felt overcrowded, too warm and stuffy. Not a pleasant way to start the day. Not only was I not satisfied, I was still hungry when leaving and made to feel like a villain for simply answering the question ‘How was your food?’ for which I think I was fair, spoke in a constructive way rather than damming, and I told the truth. Wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Food is good. But what a terrible attitude from the people who serve. Felt like they are doing a favor by serving customers. Also why have so many tables in such a small space that you cannot move around without turning and twisting.

Amazing breakfast treat! Absolutely delicious - I had the pancakes with berries and cream, and my partner had Club Pancakes. Excellent coffee too. Thoroughly recommended.

Nice food and pleasant staff. Shame that it closes so early, especially on a Saturday. Not accessible in terms of the venue however I have mobility issues and the bathroom is down extremely steep steps so I couldn't use the facilities. A separate disabled toilet upstairs is needed. Sadly that factor would keep me away.

Staff was extremely friendly, the environment made me feel like I was right at home eating breakfast and the FOOD WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. There was a line when we arrived but the host came out greeted us and had us seated in no time. 😁 please if ever in the area gift your tummy and soul with this with this amazing amazing place!!!!

I don’t know what it is about this location, but the customer service is always horrible. You wait a long time, which is understandable, but the staff always treats you like an inconvenience. It’s ridiculous to come here and spend so much money for nothing.

A great place! Ergo they are always full and you cannot reserve a table on weekends, if you try to reserve it will take you straight to Monday. If you want to secure a place on the weekend you either have to be there early or agree to wait, which can be up to an hour so be aware and prepared!

Staff were warm and welcoming, was seated immediately and food was very filling and delicious.
