Honest Burgers Finsbury Park in Islington

From far the best burger in Finsbury area, the double smash burger was very juicy, chips as always incredible and having a local beer is always a plus. Also the guy serving us was very helpful all the time. Definitely going back!

Ordered one beef one chicken, the beef burger came out over cooked (we'd asled for med rare), but the staff were apologetic and more than happy to change, and the second was awesome. The Finsbury Park burger (chicken) was also banging! It is pricey though!

Had a wonderful service here yesterday afternoon. Was disappointed with the large onion rings we ordered they were very spicy. Smash burgers were great.

Loved it here. Came to London for a concert nearby, and visited here before hand as it was close to our hotel and fancied some good grub. The food did not disappoint, felt was good for the price and was great quality. The rosemary fries were to die for! Would definitely come again!

Had a decent experiance here the other dat, I enjoyed my Finsbury burger, but felt a little disapointed with the chicken tenders as 1 was really burned and tough. Food was served quickly and service was friensly but table didnt have napkins or Salt and pepper.

Ordered on Uber eats. Maybe my expectations were too high as I had heard about this place. Smash burger was dry and the chips were awful.

I ordered on Ubereats. Looks like I was sent an order that had been sitting on the side and the slaw tasted off. Old slaw is not the one. Fully disappointed. UberEats wouldn’t let me review on there. I was looking forward to a nice dish, and had to eat a cold and weirdly burnt burger with bad slaw.

Hey! Love this restaurant, we come here about once a month because the food is so juicy, the service is great and it is just a delight. We are a rowdy bunch of lunatics and they are always so accommodating to our needs, paying separately and all that annoying stuff. Big shout out to Fred who always makes us feel welcome and like nothing is ever too much to ask.. what a legend! We will be back for those salty chips and that patty that you can only imagine Sponge Bob would be proud of. Respect x

Love coming to my local HB. The team always make my gf and I feel right at home. Nice, Clean toilets, delicious menu (Local and Monthly specials are always a must) - however if you’re vegan or vegetarian then the Fritter slaps hard As the new monthly special is out I will be back soon! The Kimchi smash burger is on the Pantheon of greats. Respect

Our order was missed due to a system error. The waiter initially accused us of seeking a free meal and later suggested waiting longer. We left after paying for unfinished drinks. Instead of an apology, we got only a remark about our bad luck. It was our fourth date and we went to the cinema hungry. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Came here on my sisters recommendation. Menu is perfect for this sort of cuisine - not too extensive but enough variety in terms of burgers and sides. It's also reasonable priced when taking into account quality of food - which is excellent - and what you get at competitor chains. Also impressed by the quality of the plant burger and range of gluten free options; the fact there is no extra charge for opting for a gluten free bun is a real bonus for coeliacs and a smart move generally. Overall I really like the ethos and have always had a great experience in any Honest joint I've been to. Highly recommended!

I never expected staff to be so rude including the manager. I was so shocked they made me 6months pregnant and my friend 5months pregnant to leave as we didn’t want to seat on a tight 2 seated table due to our size and the large order we would make. So so disrespectful!! Avoid Avoid !!

Great customer service and awesome burgers.

This burger spot is nothing to get excited about. Food here is average. Chicken wings were awful and the rosemary fries are just fries I don’t see what the hype is about. This feels like a burger joint that was cool 10 years ago. There are much better ones around now.

Absolutely loved seeing other people who came in much later get served earlier than we did. Then being promised a 25% discount that doesn't appear on the tab.

Couldn't be bothered to prepare anything after the day I had, so I got a gourmet burger. I'd say that this is about the 4th time I've visited Honest Burger in Finsbury Park. Can't really fault the place, I hoovered the burger before I thought about taking a photo of my meal... I think that really says it all.. The staff seemed pretty cool too.

Can't understand these sad people that order online and somehow expect a buger that has been sitting around for 20 minutes in some scooter to be perfect. Then to leave a wholly undeserved 1 star review . Those who actually bother to come in will be rewarded with a buzzing atmosphere, friendly service and faultless bugers . The quality is top notch and price is very reasonable considering what you get. The only problem is that we now can't eat a burger anywhere else! Well done guys keep it up ..

“Honestly” so blessed to have this round the corner from me in Finny P. There’s not a burger on this menu that doesn’t slap and that goes for the vegan burgers too which my girlfriend always gets. There’s never a bad time to get an honest burger…

Great quality food, friendly staff and reasonably priced

When I get burgers from here, they're noticeably (and consistently) better prepared than other locations. Hats off to the chefs! Staff are also really nice - not a huge fan of the local area, but brave it for the burgers.

Very disappointed. Haven’t had it for a while and the size have definitely changed. Ordered a kids burger and the kids burger costs £7.30 with a tiny chicken breast thats thin like paper, very dry which you can only taste the oily burger bun. Most of the extras are missing including mustard mayo and tomato. The chips are not fresh, hard and dry as rock, definitely been cooked twice if not three or four times.

Lovely staff and never disappointing burger

Servers were not very attentive (folding napkins was very important) - unsure whether it was table service or not. Sat there for about 1.5 hours post meal and was not offered dessert/more drinks. Ordered the special burger and sent it back as it had about 2 little crispy chips on it. Pretty disappointed.

Ordered yesterday from this restaurant via UberEats. What a terrible experience - Half of my order didn't come. Ordering from Uber eats frequently and this is the first time it ever happened to me. Doesn't seem it's Uber issue, because my items were highlighted when I received an order. Seem that restaurant just ran out of it and didn't even bothered to call to inform. I would cancel a whole order in that case, to be fair ... It's also not chips being served there.... prepare yourself for some pity chunks of potato, or whatever it is. Looks like only the end of a chip been send, some sort of a leftover. Extremely disappointed, I would not recommend.

The smashed burger is really good, very tasty and good price, 9.70 for a cheeseburger and fries. If you have the other ones it’s a bit over priced, and you pay extra for cheese (bad vibes). Staff was friendly they let me eat in even though it was 10pm cause I told me im gonna be quick, and quick I was. Good vibrations in this honest burgers, good food, honest service and ok price 🤝

Came for dinner for two a couple of days ago. Food was excellent, cooked to perfection. Service from Fred and Cody was some of the best I've received in any Honest - which says a lot! It really elevates a meal when you can tell the people working there enjoy their jobs.

Absolutely honest and recommended. Food is great, mojito is quite soft 😅. During my stay, due to some technical error my order was delayed by a lot, however the manager was impeccable handling the situation and was definitely an example to what a good manager should be. Raise my hat to you, keep it up. The burguers are very tasty, as well as the rosemary chips. Nice combination. I'd suggest anyone interested going earlier to find available places as it can get quite busy.

I always loved Honest Burger, but unfortunately my local branch is really disappointing! Every time I order with delivery there's a different issue, and today I did bingo: it was all terrible! Cold burger and chips (unsurprisingly, since they took forever to arrive, despite I'm not that far), the chips were so small and sad they looked like leftovers, and the salad was really tiny, uninspiring and outrageously overpriced for a couple of leaves and a poorly cut 1/2 tomato (hand for proportion, and I'm even a small person).

The local special burger at this place is definitely jostling for the top spot within the Honest Burger Extended Universe. The gochujang hot honey is perfectly balanced between sweet, umami, salty and spicy, and it's a great addition to the already brilliant fried chicken breast. The other ingredients don't overwhelm these two great flavours; it's a wonderfully devised sandwich. You could play with adding kimchi instead of pickles but that might scare the normies off. It's fantastic as it is. Special shout out to our server Freddie who was brilliant the entire evening, and made us feel right at home. This is certainly somewhere we will be coming back to, and if you're in the area, you would be mad to miss this place out. 5/5.

Delicious burger. But 80% of my chips where small ends, like they served me the crumbs. I feel like that happens 3 tiles out of 4 with Uber Eats deliceries. Not acceptable. Edit after getting the response yesterday, and ordering again this evening. It looks exactly the same - no change. After eating 5 chips, it's just tiny end trims. It looks really sad. I still feel ripped off.

Great place to dine in! quick service and delicious

Got the smashed burger which was advertised as good for lunch. Was terrible. Burnt meat, absolutely covered in their mayonnaise type sauce. Not edible and wouldn’t feed to a pet. Avoid !

I and my wife went there two times now. I tend to hesitate to write a review on the first instance, especially if I am likely to go back there again. So I waited to see how our second visit would go:) I rated the food with 4 stars because there is a room for improvement. It feels like the *fries are made out of potato offcuts… you get 2 or 3 medium size cuts on top and the rest are tiny pieces of potato. *Beef patties good size, bacon and cheese as they should be.. beef patty a bit too dry for medium well, but second time we tried medium and trick worked, as it was like medium well. Prices are reasonable compared to other chains. Service was particularly memorable with kind and friendly attitude of Sophia. She recommended month’s special to my wife and it was as described. Atmosphere is very casual and totally suitable for conversation, not too noisy. Every time we pass and see Sophia through the window. we say hello to each other. Lovely to have commercial premises in the neighbourhood with friendly staff.

They messed up our Uber eats order so badly and tried to blame it on the delivery guy. They gave him an order for Oliver (my name is Olivia) and didn’t take any responsibility.

Music was on quite loud so had to like speak a little louder than normal, other than this the atmosphere was good Service was really good, the waitresses were really kind and chill Food was good, they didnt have the style of chicken that i wanted in stock on that day, so got pesto instead. Im not a fan of pesto but i ate it anyway cause there's only 2 chicken options and i was hungry

second visit on a busy Saturday night, opted for the June special, which was the Caribbean Fried Chicken Burger. Great flavours, matched perfectly with my Duppy Ting-a-ling cocktail. Food was hot, and could tell was freshly cooked. Good music and general vibe. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will be back.

Slow to be seated and when we finally where the table had not been cleared of the previous dishes. Slow to be given menu and have prder taken Watched as the chefs made my order, placed it at the window and I waited 8 and a half minutes watching the cheese on my burger conceal. A different waiter from the waitress who took my order saw me clocking my food and told him pal my order was ready, after 12 minutes of my food being in the window it was finally placed infront of me and the waiter stood there like a tree waiting for what I don't know. Finally I asked for the bill, which was brought over soo fast I thought Usane Bolt worked there, and they tried stick me with a service charge. I DON'T THINK SO HONEST BURGER

Had an amazing time thanks to Fred and the service they gave us! Our food was brought promptly and we were given fantastic recommendations of what to get, truly above and beyond service and amazingly friendly, we will definitely be coming back, as long as Fred is on shift!

My fav branch of Honest Burger!!! Despite their best burger we’ve tried in London (so far!!), the staffs here are so nice, very warm and welcoming!! The reason we always come back to a particular branch is because their staffs. Pls keep up the good team here. Honestly, raise their wage too. 😆 They once gave us free onion ring too (I think it’s from the food photographs stuffs but still, yayyy free food!) the toilet always clean and never had dirty tissues scattered all over the places.😂 We’ve ordered the delivery too and they tastes great as dine in. They have consistency in the food serving, that’s really brilliant. I love this location bcs it wasn’t too busy and just nearby our flats. So… love to come back again soon.

Honestly one of if not my favourite place of all time. You can dine in or take away. The food is amazing. Their beef burgers are so juicy and succulent. The fried chicken is amazing, especially with the bbq honey and mustard sauce. The rosemary chips are just worth going for on their own. My partner swears by the vegan options as the best shes ever had. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Attentive to dietary requirements, and the food service was so fast! Honest burger is thee place that my brain goes to first when it comes to eating out. If you haven't tried their food, you need to!

Nop, my beef burger was not up to the mark. It was dry, not done as they voluntarily promised (medium rare). The service was good, the server was fun and friendly. I’d expect better food for this price point.

Not the best Honest around. Food was good as usual for Honest, but the venue is very small, we had to wait for a long time (despite there being free tables), and when we were finally given a table the air conditioning was super strong with the cold air hitting us directly (when it was 10 degrees outside). Very uncomfortable dinner. We ate quickly and left. Also there were 5 waiting staff but we struggled to get their attention all the time. Not sure we will be going back to this Honest.

Decent burgers, but don't bother with any of the chicken ones

We had a pretty long wait for a table and weren’t pleased when the group behind us were seated ahead of us since a bigger table was available. It was awkward with the staff seating everyone standoffish towards everyone entering the restaurant; it and set their dinner off on as bad a foot as ours. The vegan burger wasn’t great, undercooked boring. We did enjoy a local beer which was nice to see on the menu. £40 for a burger and a beer each and an experience that I’m sure could easily be bettered elsewhere.

Served a purpose as somewhere to grab dinner, but it was a bit disappointing. The staff and ambiance were fine but the food left quite a bit to be desired, especially the fries that seemed to be more rosemary salt than actual potato. Burger was okay, nothing to write home about. Bit of a shame but lesson learned for next time.

Possiblity the worse burger I've eaten for a long time. The restaurant is smelly and although the service was ok the standard of food was disappointing....not a patch on other Honest Burger places.

Food didn't taste quite quite as good as the other Honest Burgers e.g. at Warren Street or Leicester Square (chips were perhaps less crispy and seasoned), but still good and staff were incredibly friendly and inviting. Customisability of burgers is appreciated. Would highly recommend homemade lemonade as well.

A perfect burger experience - since I'm eating plant based burgers only, I'm very fussy about the taste and overall experience. I remembered eating in one of the Honest Burgers restaurants couple of years ago, so decided to try this one out. It was as perfect as before - my go to place for burgers!

I spent almost £40 in a meal for 1 person and it was really disappointing. For a chicken started, a glass of wine and a burger with chips. The burgers are ok but I would say a bit small. But the chips were cold. I told the waiter and he kindly told me they would exchange them. But the people in the kitchen took some already cooked chips and fry them again. So what I got was over cooked greasy chips. £40 for that. There are many amazing places to have delicious burgers with chips. Never coming back to this place again

Average. £20 for a double smash burger, chips, and 4 chicken tenders. Food is okay but certainly not extraordinary (chips were cold and a bit overcooked - also got lots of end bits. Burger was good but a touch soggy. The breading on the chicken tenders wasn't brilliant). Food can hold a 3/5 but the extortionate price notches it down a peg. Save your money and make a smash burger at home (it's incredibly easy).

Very popular and therefore busy - staff made time to make sure we could sit out of cold and said a table would be available shortly - it was. Great tasting, low mileage food well presented. Great chain that feels and is local.

We have had good experiences before but today one of the burgers was almost certainly rotten, terrible smell and taste. They need to improve their quality checking procedures. Sadly not ordering more from here.

They were accommodating, didn't rush us. Food was great although a bit cold. I knocked a star off because they were missing a few standard things we tried to order like onion rings, cheesy gravy and types of beer and the chicken wings weren't great - not crunchy just fatty skin. But they were good with the kids, helpful with parking our buggy elsewhere and super attentive.

I’m torn on what to write here as there is good and bad things to say. was busy when I arrived and myself and a separate party of 4 were relatively quickly escorted to the final two tables. The waitress was really friendly and funny, but professional also. I ordered a burger and beer and then noticed the party of 4 having their order taken by the same waitress. The beer arrived quickly, but I was kept waiting over half an hour for the food (I had a cinema seat booked so was anxious to get there on time). The food also arrived 10 minutes after the party of 4 and I did notice one lonely burger and chips sat on a plate on the serving area for over five minutes (which was mine). It was only when I got up and asked the waitress that the food arrived. The food was lukewarm and nothing special. The waitress to be fair was extremely apologetic, even admitting this happens sometimes, and offered to write off the whole cost. I said I was ok to pay at least some but she said she felt so bad that it should have taken so long she would not take any money. She literally saved the day, stopping the restaurant getting a one or two stars.

Sofia Nate and regli were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Lived in the area for 6 months and was waiting to find a good burger joint safe to say me and my friend now know where to go for a good ol burger and chips.

Oh my word Fred was a breath of fresh air in a world of generally mediocre customer service! Polite, bright, friendly and with a great knowledge of burgers!! Please keep Fred as long as you can as they are an asset to honest burger Finsbury Park! I'm sure the rest of the staff are also great too :-)
