Bowled over by the Bowling Green. In my view good pub grub. Will keep on my future list.

We booked the function room for a baby shower and the landlady, Mandy, provided an excellent buffet which was also great value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were very happy customers!

If you are a couple/individual looking for a drink in the town centre it's an okay pub. If you are a family or going in with children, don't bother the hag behind the bar bosses your children around even when they aren't doing anything. Don't have signs up saying 'children welcome before 5pm' if you don't want kids in your establishment. Don't tell another persons' child what to do, speak to the parent/adult of the child. Look at what other adults kids are doing before your accuse other children of being disruptive. Basically this us NOT a child friendly establishment

Great pub, hidden away but well worth a visit 🍺

Was invited here by a local Rotary Club to give a talk. I've walked past this place a hundred times in the last twelve years and never tried it. It was fantatsic. Food was served in generous portions, piping hot and delicious. Very friend staff too. Will definitely be back.

Good selection of real Ale's at an affordable price. Old style decor & pool table with a good amount of space available.

The most traditional pub in Nantwich, Great food, great beer and great service. Would fully recommend this pub to anyone 😁

Had a lovely meal with my lady I had a cheese burger with chips and salad my lady had the scampi and chips couldn't fault it was really nice and reasonably priced

Good food, reasonably priced. Friendly atmosphere and staff when we dropped in on Saturday afternoon. Bowling Green burger worth the money but I'd recommend the steak pie.

They have a brilliant quiz, darts n doms, pool table, sport on tv. Pets are welcome but kids not after 5pm. The ladies toilet has no indoor disabled access and is often flooded or out of order... drinks are on the higher price range but spirit are served at 25 and 35 ml...the overall atmosphere of this historic building is great... just don't use the toilets!

Great little pub and great staff

Old-school boozer tucked away on a side-street. It's tired-looking and basic, but reasonably priced. The beer-garden is great but not very well kept. There is a smoking-shed, too, should the weather be inclement.

Great food and.reasonable prices

This is a diamond in a hidden spot. Lovely atmosphere, great lunch. Will definitely go here again. 😊

Quiet little place, (Tues night) tucked away in the middle of Nantwich and reasonable priced drinks.. enjoyed a couple of hours there meeting family 👍🏻👍🏻

I can't comment on food because we only popped in for a quick drink on a hot day. The beer garden ar the rear could be so pretty but it was dirty and neglected; cigarette butts everywhere, filthy ashtrays on the tables. It just needs some attention and would be a little gem.

My friends drink was spiked and the owner and a bartender did absolutely nothing and tried to kick us out of the beer garden and showed no concern what so ever to my friends safety if i vould give them negative stars i would deffinately leave a negative 10 stars what a way to ruin peoples night absolutely ridiculous

Went straight to the beer garden, No signs to tell us we had to go straight to the bar and rudely an old lady clearly the owner of the pub came out moaning that we didn’t go to the bar first. Ask for our ID so showed it her, knowing full well we look over the age of 18 anyway and we normally go in there and never had this problem before. So asked us to leave in a nasty way. So would never go back!!!

Not been for years so called in when saw a great gin offer! We had been the food festival so was busy with a whole bar full of dirty glasses. Could of done with a extra person to have kept that job right.

Food excellent, chicken curry 1st class, portions plenty and more, first class chips, pleasant staff, old time type of pub, no frills, just needs a bit of TLC.. But food well worth a visit x

Nice little pub in a very nice quiet location. They have a fine selection of beers. There is a warm friendly atmosphere. It's nice to sit outside in a tree shaded area and have a drink and relax.. This is a very good pub.

Often call in for a swift half when visiting Nantwich. Its inevitably daytime when we go to this place and its usually fairly quite with just a few locals having a drink, cant comment on what its like during evenings or busier times though. They do typical pub food and their menu/prices seem reasonable but we've not eaten there. They have a fairly large beer garden out back with a "smokers shed". The internal decor is dated and a bit shabby although the front of the pub has recently been repainted. A TV is present in the bar area. Overall I find The Bowling Green a pleasant little pub.

We were at the bowling Green for a funeral.the food was delicious and there was a good selection of sandwiches and cakes .the staff were lovely .we asked for a coffee and the staff brought us coffee and tea . nothing was any trouble for then .

We use the back room for meetings. Good choice of ales on offer. Go in a Sunday evening and there is a complimentary cheese board. Nice touch.

Average - Not quite the pub I remember and only accepted cash. Could do with a general refurb.

Dirty tired and in desperate need of bringing into the 21st century. Toilets are dreadful and I would highly recommend that you don't use them.

It's a lovely cosy little pub and every one is so friendly and they don't mind taking our dog in

Good food pleasant contemporary surroundings

When I recently went here for a drink for the first time in ten years I was left feeling that I had passed through a time warp back to the 1990s. Almost nothing has changed, and it shows in how tatty it all looks. If you remember the stools, carpet, pictures etc. then chances are it's still what you remember. And yes, that does include the stinking toilets that make you want to wretch. The ageing theme extends to the drinks and, of course, cards. Offer to pay with a card and they'll point you towards a bank up the road. Somebody needs to point the owner towards a diary in the hope they realise what year this is and that its about time the place was given some TLC.

Nice little pub for a drink or cheap meal. Food is basic but cooked well. The breaded cod is a favourite of mine. Trivia night on Wednesday. Nice sheltered beer garden. Only problem is that sometimes the kitchen is not open for lunch as advertised. Basic offering of beer and wine.

We have our monthly Cheshire Land Rover Club meeting here. It couldn't be more friendly.

Good Old fashion pub. Go on Sunday and get the free cheese board on the bar - nice

Great relaxed pub, friendly staff. The bottom of the beer garden that overlooks the rear end of the pub could do with a tidy up.

They have a good outside area which is good in summer. Pool table which i have yet to play on. The beer is ok nothing out of the ordinary. Good place for a quiet pint or 2
