No Carling, which is a good thing. Excellent choice of rotating real ales, craft beer, ciders and continental lager.

Went here by myself to have a reset, the bar staff were so Warm friendly and lovely to talk to, they explained the drinks and tastes the place was vibrant packed and so lovely and enjoyable I look forward to going back with friends and family

Great price of beer, great selection. The only thing I’d say is the long haired fella behind the bar was so uninterested, I tried talking to him he was more interested in his phone than the conversation… moody guy puts me off going back tbh, not a vibe at all!

Popped in with wife to see what it was like. Barman disinterested. No engagement. Beer was nice but foul mouthed alecans at the bar so never stayed long. Plenty of other places so won't be back.

Been to the sister pub in Upton Village many times but thought we'd try this one on a Sunday afternoon. Absolutely lovely place, gorgeous beers great hospitality and lovely clientele.

This is a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy great beers only let down by the early closing time which means if you are starting later in the evening you would likely be better going somewhere that has a more normal 11 o'clock licence. In response to the reply from the owner , I have been there during the week when it closed at 9 because there were only a few people in , I have been there on a Friday when it stopped serving at 10:30. I don't deny the quality and hard working nature of the staff they are excellent , I don't deny the quality of the beer or the location. Some consistency in serving hours would help and as such when you have a group of people who can only meet up later in the evening and are expecting an 11 o'clock finish it is frustrating to be told that service has stopped early. It would have to be the greatest pub on the planet to get 5 stars and no considerations to get 4 stars so I think 3 stars is appropriate and isn't "marking you down" in anyway.

Really good place to have real ale and try new drinks just wish it was bigger it gets very busy. A very grown up experience

Only decent bar around. Turns out I found the one in New Brighton the night before.

Clean bar, friendly landlord, great beer and cider. Looks like they have a good range of wines too. Can get very busy and as it's small it can be difficult to find a place to sit so you can end up sharing a table - I love this as you can have great chats with other people!

A friendly and welcoming bar in my local area, the staff are so knowledgeable and happy to help. The choice of beverages are fabulous and they have a change over each week. I can now say I have been converted to a wonderful cherry beer ! But the bottle of the Guv’nor is always a great choice of wine too ! May this establishment flourish !

A superb bar, full of atmosphere serving a range of raal ales, cask and keg and ciders. During our visit they were awarded the Camra Certificate for cellarmanship. What other recommendations do you need??!!

Drinks and atmosphere are amazing, however, rated lower in stars as there is no disabled access toilet available, and for a newly opened and newly refurbished bar I don't feel this is acceptable, it doesn't take much to give access to a toilet for wheelchair users somewhere in the back of the property. Annoying that these days you can't go for a drink with friends and not be able to stay because there are no toilets available

Great first time there ....friendly service But my freind was smoking outside ...and been asked to move..to.other side . Well.... I dont smoke also.... But a bit....over the top ... We just finish the drink and walk way. But overall...nice juice /lager ...fruity.. Tks . Next time ..I go there with no s smokers. 😅😅😅😅😅

Great experience if you're into all the Ales. Pale,dark and other available. I had a great experience there. The service was very good and a comfortable environment. 4 stars only because I'm not the biggest fan of Ales. Apart from that, can't complain.
