Fantastic, top quality home cooked food. Large portions. Really helpful staff. Incredibly cheap prices. Good real ale. Best pub meal I've ever had!

Will never go anywhere else for a family occasion, so accommodating, so friendly and DELICIOUS food. Have nothing bad to say about this well ran family business!!!!!!!!

Had chicken Kiev, which it wasn't, it was breaded chicken breast with garlic butter poured on it which made the coating all soggy,the chicken was over cooked and dry, the chips was also soggy, didn't enjoy it at all, my starter was creamy garlic mushrooms sauce was good, mushrooms was only bout 2 cut up bit stingy on the portion , plus we waited ages for the food to come out,

I had the BBQ fajitas, which were great and would definitely recommend. Service was quick and friendly. Beer was also good.

Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea for two. Service was very prompt, unobtrusive and friendly. Tea was excellent. Chips were too greasy, a bit soggy and some of the larger ones were undercooked. Could have been great, no idea whether it was old oil or under temperature cooking, or what. The quality of the fish itself was excellent but again the batter was 80% soggy with very little crisp areas. Mushy peas were comprised of a fairly solid lump. No point in raising issues, couldn't imagine what could be done with battered fish with one end eaten so just ate it all and left. At least we've been to The Bottomleys Arms.

Tried here for partners birthday meal. Did not disappoint. Would suit a country pub in middle of no where. At least that's what it reminds me of. Staff were very friendly. Food was lovely and cooked fresh. Stuffed and couldn't finish the meal. Shouldn't have had the starter. Definitely worth the price.

This is the first time at Bottomleys and we will definitely be back. We had a starter, main & pudding each & wow , this is the best meal out that we have had in a very long time. The food was fresh & home cooked & extremely tasty. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming and the portion size is definitely generous lol. Although we did save room for pudding 😊. The price was more than reasonable and I would recommend a visit to anyone looking for a good meal whether for a couple or family. There is a great variety of dishes & you will not be disappointed. We are frequent visitors to Bottomleys Arms but today's experience was well below standard. There was no service whatsoever, after 30 mins we had to ask for drinks. When the meal eventually arrived it was mediocre to say the least. My chicken & mushroom pie covered a quarter of the plate, the rest was mashed potato. We were given a few carrots & green beans for 3 of us. No one asked if we wanted any more or if everything was alright,if we wanted any sauces etc. The place was noisy & frenetic. Not a good experience, just left to our own devices. Won't be going back in a hurry!

Went for the first time with my daughters, excellent food and very polite staff. The salmon and bombay potatoes were literally inhaled by my youngest who is very fussy. Eldest had the gammon steak (cooked to perfection) and i had the chicken wrapped in parma ham (beautiful sauce) . We will definitely be returning again and again !!!

The staff were friendly & helpful and the atmosphere was good - the place was very busy with every table taken. They had a one way system in place with hand sanitiser stations on entry & exit. The menu was extensive but both my niece and I opted for the 3 course offer. Breaded mushrooms with garlic dip - both thoroughly enjoyed, and was piping hot. Chicken kiev, but the whole plate was awash with garlic butter before the chicken was even touched. I ordered the rib eye steak which was acceptable but the chips and onion rings were just a fatty mess. My niece enjoyed her knickerbocker glory dessert and the eton mess was ok (but very very sweet) only ate a couple of spoons. The portions are large and the service was good considering how busy it was. They took a contact number for track & trace. All in all disappointing.

We built up an appetite after a busy day at Shibden Park so decided to find somewhere to eat. We came across The Bottomleys arms so booked online. Having arrived a bit early I went in to see if we could be seated but the lady behind the bar said they were having problems with the booking system so we wasn't booked in. Luckily she was able to sort something for the 5 of us and was only waiting a short time. The food took a while, but was expected as it was all freshly made. The portions are large and desserts are nice too. The staff were polite and friendly. They had all the distancing protocol in place with hand sanitisers as you walk in and leave via the one way system. We really enjoyed this place and it topped off our family outing in these difficult times. I would definitely recommend that you visit but maybe phone first if you need to book a table.

Came across this pub in Bradford as we wanted to eat before our long journey home to Hampshire, so glad we did! On entering we were greeted by a very nice member of the bar staff who showed us to our table whilst following social distancing rules.I had a roast beef dinner which contained plenty of succulent roast beef with Yorkshire and roast potatoes & vegetables, my wife had the gammon steak which was ample enough for her smaller appetite.The pub was clean and the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome.Next time we are in Bradford we will make a beeline to the Bottomleys Arms.

Been a few times now, lovely food every time. All staff were in brilliant spirits given the current circumstances and were lovely to talk to! My partner recommends the fish & chips and I 100% recommend the prawn or chicken curry. Managed to fit a dessert in for the first time ever, had the apple & blueberry crumble with custard. Went with a few of my friends for a Christmas meal. Had the ribeye, absolutely to die for, could tell everything was made fresh! And the homemade cheesecake didn’t go a miss. Me and a few friends came for food here for the first time a couple of days ago, 2 of us had the lamb Henry, 1 had the prawn linguine, the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and surprisingly efficient considering how busy it was! Would highly recommend for food (probably the best Henry I've had) will be visiting again!

Dirty old mans pub not equipped for food orders

Every December the ladies in my family all get together for a Christmas meal at the Bottomleys Arms and every year its fab and yesterday was no different. The staff are a credit to the landlord and landlady there can’t do enough for you and always make sure you have plenty of food! The meal itself was fab! I had the Christmas menu and it was all cooked to perfection with plenty of flavour and all presented perfectly! You never feel rushed either they let you take your time even after we’d finished eating we ordered more drinks and they were absolutely fine with us staying at our tables even though it was really busy! All 11 of us absolutely loved it yesterday and I can’t wait to go back on Wednesday for another Christmas meal! Thanks for a lovely afternoon we loved it xx

Firstly, the ambiance was extremely cosy and welcoming, the staff were all greeting and friendly and never failed to make us feel welcomed, we ordered within 15 mins of sitting down and received food shortly after, everything was well presented and very tasty, my fajitas were full of flavours and were overall delicious and I would definitely go back in a hurry xxxx

Food disgusting. Service poor . Roast pots done in deep fat fryer full of oil . Burgers tasted fatty . Faitas came in juice looked like curry . And garlic pork think they mistook the salt for the garlic.

Me and my partner decided to visit a second time after enjoying the food on our first visit. We pre booked a table, but it was quiet when we went in so were told to sit wherever we wanted. A young man came and took our drinks order, we had the drinks in front of us within minutes. Unfortunately my partners diet coke was basically just soda water as the syrup had run out. This was rectified by the young man who got him another drink and apologised.

Been to bottomleys a few times now and I’ve never managed to finish a full meal the portions are huge and the food is so flavourful, haven’t had a bad thing to say about this place credit to all the staff 👍🏼

We go every other Sunday food is the best I had mozzarella last week there wasn’t enough sauce the staff DJed if my meal was ok when we asked for bill I mentioned it needed more sauce they promptly knocked it off our billl I can’t recommend this. Pub highly enough the food is top notch and if you have any complaints they always deal with it professionally and try to please you I cannot say anything bad we love this place

If you are hungry this is the place to visit. The menu has a good balance between classics and bistro type food. Two of our party had burgers. They were cooked well and came with a side salad and chips which were delicious. Another had lambs liver which was served with a choice of potatoes and veg. Again plentiful and well cooked. Lastly one had a steak sandwich that arrived in halve a baguette. If there is any criticism it would be that all the meals lacked finesse in their presentation. Sometimes less is more.

Visited last night for a family meal for 14 of us. Unfortunately some of our party were running late and we ended up being 45 minutes later than the time we were booked in for, fortunately the staff were just amazing they couldn’t do enough for us. The choice of menu and specials was fantastic. The starters are practically the size of a main course! All food was fresh, hot and beautifully presented. We will definitely be returning

Just had an amazing Tapas meal at Bottomleys with the family. The portions were very generous, and very tasty, staff were very friendly, and I can see why the hand-pulled beer was called Guzzler, an excellent pint, or two, or three ( I wasn’t driving). Will definitely return.
