It's really good to find a restaurant where the chilli rating on the menu maches the food served. All too often "hot" meand "mild" but here "hot is "hot"! Friendly staff, reasonable prices, tasty food. We'd happily go again.

We got the 50% off deal on Open Table, with meant this was exceptional value for money. I would not have been happy to pay full price for the starters, as these were all very small. The main dishes were much better and tasted very good. The place was freezing, we had to keep our coats on the whole evening. The music was more than depressing, but the staff were friendly and helpful enough.

I am very particular about my Indian takeaways and after using Bombay Dine for the last 12 months I can honestly say it is the best around in the area. The food is fresh, they don't use frozen chicken cubes like so many do and they don't cut corners on quality and taste. Their Chicken Tikka is always good and usually my measure of decent Indian is their lamb dishes. Happy to review that their lamb has always remained soft, well flavoured and minimal fat if any. Their delivery service can occasionally be a little random but generally they get it right and their service has been good. In my opinion this is one best Indian's in SW London.

My friends and I go to this restaurant on a regular basis. We get together once a month for a Curry and everytime we deviate from Bombay Dine its disappointing. BD has an excellent selection and always serves up really tasty options. The staff really look after us. It's never busy, but I really do not understand why. Having tried all the other Indians around Clapham Junction this is by far the best.

For us, The Bombay Dine Club was a real disappointment. We ordered takeaway which was nearly a 2 hour wait and when it arrived it was cold. After an hour we called the restaurant to find out where our delivery was and the person was adamant that our takeaway should be with us any minute, however it wasn't until half an hour later that we received the order. When speaking with the manager he refused to admit that the food could be cold, despite being told our order should be with us any minute and then it not arriving until half an hour later. We weren't offered an apology or refund and it made it very difficult to enjoy the rest of our evening.Of what we were able to eat it seemed alright, nice flavours and not too greasy however the portion sizes were very small. We were most disappointed with the duck starter which was £5.95 and had about 10 small cubes of duck in it.All in all I think what let The Bombay Dine Club dow was not just the fact the delivery was late, how the handled the complaint. Their takeaway service comes across as a quick way to make a buck. No effort was made to make amends by the manager and the whole experience left us feeling hungry and out of pocket.

I have lived in the area for quite a while but just never got around to visiting the Bombay Dine Club.I have been missing out is all I can say.I loved the food, the Murgh Jalfrezi was exceptional, not too spicy but with a decent kick I expect from an authentic 'British' Indian dish.Service was great, very attentive but not over bearing and the waiter even advised that we may have ordered too much - a refreshing approach, which was unfounded as the food was so good and we were that hungry. Can't wait to go back there.

To start - I work in the restaurant industry so I've eaten and criticised my way around the world...In Clapham/Battersea, this is now one of my favourite restaurants. As far as British Indian food goes, it's one of the best experiences I've had in London. I hate the famous, pretentious, overly confident, greasy and way too spicy Tayabs, and the place next door to Bombay Club is just bad. Why I like it - the food is delicious, the service is good, they cook the meat in a tandoori oven, as it should be...so it's soft, healthy and deliciously smoky. I saw what the chef used for ingredients and was very impressed to see grease replaced with cashew butter and was pleasantly surprised with the array of spices individually added to each dish. Lovely atmosphere too. The owner is a super nice guy, which makes it that much more pleasant handing over the money in the end. De-li-cious!

Although we like Indian food, mostly Indian restaurants tend to be darkish old fashioned eateries with, some times, way too big portions. This restaurant was freshly different on the food side. All dishes we had between the three of us were very nice in taste and pleasantly presented. The space was good, airy, and two level setting of the restaurant floor makes a difference. If the owner will add some professional designer to do the space, the restaurant might become quite special, and be able to charge much higher prices. So, don't miss a chance to have good food now.

We had booked a table at this place for my hubby's birthday dinner, after reading multiple good reviews about it. But it turned out to be a big disappointment. Both of us are foodies, and I myself have a more then decent grasp on Indian food. The food at this place is just average, meaning one can get this type of taste at numerous places across London. Strangely (and funnily) the waiter kept on recommending dishes which were not even mentioned on the menu. Drinks and dessert choices were very limited. However the staff was polite and courteous; they allowed us to spend quite a considerable time at the table.

Bombay DineWe have been eating at Bombay Dine for a few years. The opportunity to try some new flavours was great as they have a lot of Nepalese dishes on the menu (I guess they kept the name, but the new management are Nepalese?) The staff are lovely and not overly pushy, but keen to suggest a new dish if you want to try something different. The food has always been great and we never had a dish come out that had a ring of oil around the top of the bowl like we found in previous restaurants. You have to try the chilli lamb, a dry dish with strips of tender lamb and the Jaiselmere (sp) vegetables for something different, they are a firm favourite with us. All the usual dishes are also there and they can make them hotter if you like. Our regular waiter Ramesh and indeed all the wait staff are great, and are always ready to welcome us even when I book on Taste Card each time!We don't live in the Clapham Junction area but this is well worth the travel, I would highly recommend Bombay Dine for a Nepalese Indian dining experience.

The service was super good, very kind staff helped us through the menu and was very attentive to details. But the food was the true start, it was delicious (the lamb dishes especially), everything tasted super fresh and well made: the naan bread, tandoori chicken and the lamb badami... best indian food in a long time. Living in the Caribbean, on an island where nearly half the population is of East Indian extraction we were getting withdrawal symptoms for a curry, so chose from "Top Table" based on location and reviews. This restaurant - one of a mini chain of three-has a pleasant open and uncrowded ambiance, the Nepalese owners and staff are genial and efficient hosts(with a great interest in cricket). The menu has tandoori, lamb and chicken dishes at it's core but with some seafood and a good range of vegitarian offerings; the vast range of spices and degrees of "heat" offered(the chef will adjust on request) actually provides a much wider choice than a cursory glance at the menu suggests. A single dish serving(our jomsom lamb, paratha and naan with a thick daal were all really excellent) is more than adequate for two people so to get some variety a group meal works well. Although wine does not really work with curries the list had a good reasonably priced selection and a range of beers and spirits is available. The bill was a revelation-we received a 50% discount on the food element(quite why I am not sure) but even at the listed prices the meal was extremely good value in London's generally overpriced restaurant scenario.

Manager was welcoming and friendly, asked a rowdy group to quieten as the sound travelled in the room with limited soft furnishings. Beers were Cobra, Kingfisher etc at usual prices. Food selection was excellent and the veggie meals were especially welcome. They were doing a good take-away business which suggests they are known locally for good food. Toilets need an overhaul, or at least more regular and tougher cleaning. Overall price was excellent value for money using Top Table half price food with just a few beers etc. Enjoyed our evening.

No atmosphere at all. 8pm Wednesday evening we were the only customers in the restaurant. And still had poor service. One main course & all side dishes brought out, then a five minute delay until the second main dish arrived, by which time the first one was a little cold. Made a comment, no reply, no apology. No one came over and asked if the food was OK, and it took an age to get a second beer, or anything else. They were much more concerned with the telephone take away orders. Ho Hum. Nothing taken off the bill, which meant we left no tip. Comments about poor service were taken well on departure with a promise that next time would be better. But the food, four out of five dishes were fantastic. The slow cooked tandoori chicken was sweet, sensitively spiced mouthfuls of gorgeousness, black lentil dahl, auberjine sabji and chana massala were fantastic, as good as I have tasted. Well spiced individual flavours. Unfortunatley herselfs chicken biryani was a red soulless goup. Would probably not go back as a couple, but a group, with a lot of time to spare, would be no problem, unless they took an age to get the second beer. And take away/order-in absolutely as the food was great.

We were impressed by the quality of the welcome, especially the second and third time we went, by the quality of the food, and a bit challenged by the quantity. We have had a meal the next day from the doggy bag! But maybe younger visitors would be delighted by the size of the portions. Anyone looking for a curry should check this place out. 'Average' Indian restaurants serving anything from ok to reasonably good food are ten a penny. What I've struggled to find, especially in London, are Indian restaurants which deliver genuinely tasty dishes. That's exactly what Bombay Dine does. I hadn't heard of the place before my girlfriend found them via tastecard and toptable (both doing 50% off food). But whether or not the discount is available in the future we will definitely be making regular visits from now on. We chose a couple of dishes from the chef's specialties and both were bursting with flavour. What impressed us most is that the meat was beautifully tender, falling apart as you ate it. So often you have to chew the hell out of lamb or chicken, but not here. It was all topped off by genial and attentive staff. Admittedly it was a Sunday night and a true test of service would be when the restaurant is busy. But if first impressions count this place really delivered.

But the best part we liked was the birthday surprise from the restaurant, the way they brought the cake with the lights deem and sparks on the side. A big thanks to the management for turning our day very very special. Cant wait to visit there again. A must go place if you are around.

I've been to many good traditional indian restaurants during my time working in publishing and the indian and nepalese Bombay dine did not disappoint! The lobster was so fresh and melted in the mouth, king prawn cooked to perfection and the memorable nan bread chicken sandwich packed a real punch in the spice department, thrilling! Affordable authentic food that leaves you fully satisfied! I'd happily have lunch here too, maybe ordering a little less next time... Stuffed!

My friend and I after doing a short research decided to have dinner at this restaurant and thats how we found one of the greatest indian n nepalese restaurants in London, probably the best one. You can tell the squids are really fresh and nice. King prawn maharani and the mushroom rice is truly awesome. Also its very rare that you can find authentic food in London or its really expensive but here you will be served authentic food with a reasonable price. And most importantly their service is 5 out of 5. Definitely going back very soon to check other items of the menu.

A great shame.......what used to be an outstanding Indian/Nepalese restaurant is no longer. This is a local for me, & I have always found the food to be possibly the best of it's kind in London. However, on a recent visit it became apparent that things had changed & on enquiring we were told that the chef & one of the partners in the business had moved on. Based on that visit it seems now to be a "run of the mill" Indian & I won't be revisiting in a hurry, if at all. If anyone knows where the chef has gone, please let me know!! On a positive note service is excellent, but that still doesn't make up for the disappointing food.

I was at Bombay Dine Club Restaurant on a fine, hot Wednesday evening. On busy Lavender Hill, the restaurant is clean and attractively furnished and decorated. However, there were only a few tables in use throughout the evening which is disappointing, although there were several locals popping in for take-aways. It's hard to criticise much about this restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a comprehensive menu comprising mainly familiar Indian dishes. I would describe the food as good rather than exeptional and the portion sizes are ample. The menu prices are fair but particularly good value on Toptable's special offer. Unfortunately, I am not a local so may not have the chance to re-visit very often but I am happy to recommend this restaurant.

This place is a little gem. Being quite an expert on Indian food having visited India many times and with also a great knowledge of the local Indian restaurant scene - this place stands out from the crowd.I will not bore with detail go and find out for yourself. They do an excellent take away service.

I would recommend friends and family members to try the real flavour of nepalese and indian cuisine. The restaurant offers extraordinary dishes for really affordable prices. I had prawns as starter and lamb shank as mains. Both of them were extraordinarily tasty. The staff were friendly and atmosphere was pleasant to stay.

If you're after some amazing Indian/Nepalese food please visit this place or at least order delivery to keep it going. It really deserves it! It's only been going for a year apparently and probably could do with some word-of-mouth business. The owner/chef came to welcome us personally and make sure there was no problem with the TopTable voucher we had - which was a decent discount I might add. I was impressed with his friendliness and passion for what he does. The complimentary lamb pre-starters were exquisite. It's a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and the waiters were friendly and attentive. Not quite sure why there were spanish paintings on the wall though but hey...Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in London!! Try it, I'm sure you'll return.Good luck to them.

Tried the restaurant after being recommended by a friend who was impressed with their food and I can tell my friend was spot on. They surprised us with their free pre starters which allowed us to jump staright into the mains. The lamb shank looked and tested freshly cooked and had a nice flavour. The meat was tender. Service was up to the mark. I would say the were attentive but not nosey.Highly recommended. Please give it a try once. I am definitely going back.

We ordered ours online to be delivered, first of all it took nearly an hour to be delivered and was cold. They got the order wrong sending still water instead of sparkling and coke instead of diet coke, really annoying as I would never pay 2:50 for a still water I could get from the tap. Was very over priced as one rice, naan and chicken korma was around £20, unacceptable for the size and quality of the dishes. The sauce tasted very bland and only had a few pieces of meat in it. Couldn't eat more than a few bites dispite having reheated in the microwave, such a shame, I really don't understand how this has got such good ratings!

We were staying not far away but willing to travel a distance to find some great Indian food. This restaurant is fantastic. Its very comfortable, clean, and the service and the food was outstanding. It was my 70+ year old Mom's first curry and she loved it. My sons and I love Indian and I can't imagine the service being any better. It was a wonderful meal and a terrific experience.

Tried this place for the first time last night. We had a starter and a main each (three of us), plus a complimentary taster dish - chilli lamb - all of which were rather gorgeous. In terms of specifics, I would say that the meat/seafood used was of a very high standard. And that's not just in terms of a curry house, but in general - the lamb (saag) was extremely tender as if it had been slow cooked, and tasted great. The kingfisher on tap was also up to scratch. And pretty cheap for a London restaurant - £4ish if I remember correctly.Simple but nicely decorated. The service matched the food - attentive when needed, interested in what we thought, but never OTT.Even though it's a bit of a mish, we will definitely be back

Ps i agree with Tony W the heat ratings were slightly overstated but c'est la vie

Having sampled many of the Indian restaurants along Lavender Hill we were delighted to find the Bombay Dine Club offering a refreshingly different menu. The food is remarkable for its lightness and delicate flavouring. Portions are generous and well presented. We found their heat ratings were slightly overstated and would probably ask for more chillies another time. Both staff and management are very attentive, knowledgeable and cheerful. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated with an open fire to one side. By using our Taste card, 5 of us dined for just over £80 including poppadums, beers, sides and mains which we thought was really good value for money. Hard to fault - we will certainly be returning soon.

This is my local Indian restaurant & I love it! I have a lot of Indian restaurants nearby, but this one stands out for several reasons. Firstly, the food is excellent - decent portions of meat, expertly flavoured. The vegetables are always perfectly cooked & the rice is sublime too. What makes it better is that it wasn't always great in my mind, so I suggested some improvements to the staff & each time I come back more things have been changed to improve it - result now is its pretty near awesome! Efficient take away service available too - come & enjoy this place - you won't be disappointed!

Everyone likes to think they know a good curry, but generally they're hard to trust considering the rubbish most people will binge on when it comes to Indian food. This place however really is great. You won't be served 7 plates of identical food in here - each one is cooked properly, freshly and full of flavour. The dishes arrive colourful, with real herbs and spices in them and with good quality meat. Last time I went I ordered a lamb dish, the lamb that arrived was lamb off the shank, not just cubed meat. Not only is the food amazing, but these guys will also deliver for those days when you just cant shift off the sofa.

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere and lovely staff. Tasty, fresh and delicious, the food is soooooo good. This place is really fun and buzzing. Make a booking because it was extremely busy and the locals would love to keep it a secret! Everything we ordered was 5 star but you cannot miss the steak tataki or smacked cucumbers and the Margaritas were very good. Go. It’s excellent. And they’re good people. Oh and ps they are opening a ‘Speak Easy’ below the restaurant that will be superb.

This place is a local secret. Its run by a Japanese family who have been in the area for years. We first happened by here by accident looking for a Chinese takeaway on a wet night. They have Chinese on the menu and we started to order to cater for some kids in our group but noticed the Sushi guy working away. We converted most of our order to Sushi and nooddles and bought a relatively inexpensive bottle of Saki. The Sushi, Noodles and Sake proved excellent. Tempura vegetables is also one of our favorites. The kids did like the Chinese, which to our taste was a bit average but most kids will not eat sushi - they do like the noodles. It is better to order ahead to avoid a wait because they make it all to order. If you crave Japanese beer they also have a good selection. They wil delver but we general enjoy a weak after ordering.
