Popular student haunt for drinks and socialising. I visited outwith term time and it was almost empty. The staff were really nice and friendly upgrading my order due to lack of ingredients. The music was on along with am the screens showing sports. Casual pub food.

Affordable prices . Good customer service and a selection of food for vegans and vegetarians as well as meat eaters

Average student pub with tv screens and a lot of ultra processed food. Most pole woods love II I’m sure. It suited us at the time for location. I probably wouldn’t go back as it’s not the sort of pls r I tend to frequent but I’m sure it’s fun for a lot of people. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the coffee- better than one I had in prêt à manger recently! The service was quick and efficient and there were a couple of healthier options .

Went for a game of pool. Please do not touch this table, baize was filthy, only 2 large cues, pillars and walls obstruct shots, a westerly facing window which meant it was hard to see the table/balls, the rack was oversized and made it difficult yo form a triangle, the cue ball was undersized and badly pitted. All of this for £2 a game. What a joke. Tried to inform a staff member of my disgust at them trying to call this a pool table, only to be met with an apologetic look and a muttered comment “I shall inform management”. Not hood enough and customer service is not hood enough.

Booked for dinner, but likely okay to just turn up. The two men behind the bar were very nice and helpful. Loved the craft beers and the pizza was wonderful. Thanks for a great night.

A pretty poor experience this time. Hopefully just a one off. A reduced menu that didn't have some favourites I'd had before (where's the pizza cone of chips?!), but no matter. We ordered two burgers + drinks. The sale system couldn't automatically notice the discount for the drinks, requiring me to notice that we were overcharged and needed a partial refund. The food took nearly an HOUR to arrive. The pub was not particularly busy, it's a midweek night. I assume that's what happens when you run four Deliveroo ghost kitchens out of your pub. When the food arrived, my burger seemed overcooked (too tough) while the chips were barely warm. There were also far too few chips for a burger of this price. I can get more food for a lower price at a better pub than this. We were given a complimentary set of drinks given the fifty minute wait, but overall this has left me pretty sour on a bar I had previously enjoyed.

First time.back in years. It's still a great pub. The staff told me to get involved with their new app and you get a free drink. The food was good, the p8nts were great ( and a free ones always a big bonus) Great pub. Loads of tvs for sport. Decent pub grub at a good price. Friendly and accommodating staff

Ate here with friends, got served by amazing staff, everyone was really friendly including chris who helped me pick out a really nice burger. Will come again

A student pub with a long history, usually has younger people having a night out :) okay for prices (compared to overpriced ones like Brew Dog). Friendly and safe atmosphere as always.

Pulled pork sourdough sub. It was beef mince with bolonase sauce on a hotdog bun. Was also cold on arrival. Kids meals were brilliant price and quality.

We are here from out of country and stopped in based on all the positive reviews. I am sad to say it did not live up to the expectations. It seemed like a spot with a cool atmosphere, and given the positive tripadvisor/google reviews and the proximity to the sports centre, it seemed ideal as we are attending a competition. Figured this would be a reliable spot for lunch over several days. We ordered drinks, a pizza, cauliflower "wings" and some chips (fries). Honestly the pizza was below the quality of a frozen pizza back home, which is saying a lot about how bad it was - possibly the worst pizza I have ever eaten. I thought it might be a microwaved pizza as the crust was inconsistently cooked, but regardless it was bad. The cauliflower wings were terrible. Admittedly I am not a cauliflower wings guy, but these were overcooked /burned and the sauce was terrible with them. The fries were "meh", nothing particularly interesting. Again, like store bought and heated in an oven (not fried). Overall there have to be better options. We ate at another pub two days ago (downtown) and the food there was shockingly better. Maybe it's better if you are drinking? Maybe we just hit it at a bad time (I've had that before, and noted a big improvement the second time around at different places). Problem is, this was so bad I would not go back... We came by bus, but parking appeared limited. There was a washroom for disabled people on the first floor, but otherwise washrooms are upstairs (clean and quite nice, really).

Every time I go I have a nice time. Always have a good selection of beers. Staff are incredibly friendly, especially Mark W who always has a positive attitude and makes it worth going.

Great student vibe, Mark provided great chat at the bar and everything went wonderfully.

My son and I went in for a quick lunch. I chose "posh fish fingers" on a wrap, my son had a sub with chicken. The food looked nice when it arrived, and it was served with french fries (which were delicious!) However, I struggled to find any fish at all on my wrap. It was mostly lettuce and tartare sauce. There were literally crumbs of fish and batter sprinkled in it. My son's sub was chewy and stale, but his chicken was tasty. So altogether, it was disappointing and we won't be back.

Place was grand. Plenty of space and things to do. Few quiz machines, consoles, games! Easy to order things to the table using the app!

Don't eat here if you're vegetarian or vegan because the menu is totally misleading about which dishes are vegetarian/vegan. I ordered a 'mushroom burger' which had a 'v' for vegetarian next to it on the menu. That means I expected a vegetarian burger and not two beefburgers with a mushroom topping. The type of burger is in the 'small print' and the person I ordered it from didn't ask me to specify. It's a totally misleading menu that needs to be set out much more clearly. Staff also need to make it extremely clear to customers that when they order a 'vegetarian dish' they might actually be served a huge pile of meat.

Great food, ordered The Mighty Meat Pizza and a half pint of Strongbow Dark and it was all excellent. Great atmosphere plenty of TV’s for watching sports. All round great place. Definitely will be returning.

A student pub that doesn’t do a student discount on the weekends. Craft beer selection is usually good, but only really worth it if you’re there between Monday-Thursday.

In on Sunday for the Aberdeen game and service was great, credit to all the staff.

This is a student bar like no other bar in Aberdeen. When it is quiet it is chilled and uplifted by the staffs great every and friendly greating... however when there is sports on the multitude of TVs the atmosphere is something all entirely different! People are bunched in shoulder to shoulder like a scrum downing pints and the community reveling in the temporary comradery of reds vs blues or celtics vs their latest victims on the astroturf. The food selecation is amazing and easily ordered via the mobile app.

We only came here because it was close by and were pleasantly surprised by the good value wine, selection of beers and inventive food menu at reasonable prices. Top marks to Jodie for her cheerful first class service at the bar!

I came in for a quick pint, i was served by Charlotte B. She was friendly and professional. I had a pint of elvis juice, it is uncommon to see that on draught out of brewdog pubs. I will certainly be back!

Called into The Bobbin on a recent visit to Aberdeen. We had such a great evening, the food was brilliant and we were looked after so well by Aisling....highly recommend a visit.

Really recommend The Bobbin for a bite to eat, fabulous food and we had great waiting service from 'Aisling', which made our meal a lovely experience to remember. Will be back again soon.
