Trip advisor is saying this place is closed permanently, but it isn't it's just changed hands. New owners have made the place top notch! We all had a full Cornish breakfast that was on another level! Literally the best cooked breakfast I've ever had, especially yummy homemade beans and hash browns. Also fantastic service. Definitely worth a visit on your travels, we would have returned if we were in the area longer.

I chose the Boatyard Cafe as a venue for a flower arranging workshop with a local company for my sister’s Hen Do celebration and it did not disappoint! A small-ish venue but absolutely perfect for what we needed. Nothing was too much trouble, and their catering was simply stunning. We had a varied choice of yummy food and they catered for our allergies with no problems at all! Thank you so much to everyone at the Boatyard, we had a wonderful afternoon! Can’t wait to try it again soon 🥰

I can’t help leaving this place with a huge smile on my face. The cafe has an awesome vibe and the staff are friendly beyond compare. The food is deliciously homemade, with a great variety for a small cafe kitchen. Coffee and cakes are scrummy too. I love the fact that you can browse and buy a selection of local wares from edible to arty products. So nice to head to somewhere that is doing things differently but very very well. Yum, yum and yum.

Can't say a bad thing about this place. My partner and I have become regulars. Friendly service that more often than not comes with a laugh as well! Good mix of hot breakfasts and lunches made to order. Good for a quick coffee or longer lunches. wifi available for laptop working stints :). Often a mix of people here, from cyclists on a tour and families on weekend wanders to locals from the area popping in for lunch. Bring your own cup if you need a take-away coffee, but you probably won't.... cause it's too nice a spot to walk away from so quickly. (They also lend out mugs to return later if needed). Outdoor seating on the quay a plus for sunny days, and the wood-fired stove a cozy welcome during winter. Nice oddities, local art, photography and food products for sale as well.

This is just what the village of Gweek needed. We have sampled their Bacon rolls, which I can highly recommend. We also love their coffee and cakes. They also do a delicious 'Boatyard Wrap' on the lunch time menu. They have a lovely selection of paintings, local books, plants and crafts on sale. As you can see, we love this place. Trip Adviser asks when we visited the cafe, but there wasn't an option for us to put that we visit it a couple of times a week. I highly recommend you to visit soon.

Food good but didn’t like the rustic chips which seemed like cheap frozen ones. Service relaxed bordering on indifferent. Burger good but bap pretty standard. Main problem was the smell of fried food had to go home and change.

We use this place for coffee and cake on occasions and it never fails to deliver. However, we had the pleasure of attending their 'theme' night of burritos and mojitos, which was amazing. Fab atmosphere, excellent food and I hope that this is one of many themed nights - another addition that adds to the reason to keep going back.

One of the most charming cafes I’ve been to. Found this following a visit to the Seal Sanctuary, where the cafe looked heaving with people and the food unappealing. The Boatyard is located within 5 minutes walk or so. The staff were very welcoming and the menu was more than sufficient for a nice lunch, snack or just a tea and coffee. In fact the coffee was one of the best we’ve had. We also had burgers, chips (which were lovely and light and fluffy) and the largest pasties I’ve seen so far in Cornwall. Most definitely worth stopping at!

Despite the unusual setting for a cafe, Boatyard offers a wholesome and tasty lunch break. We ordered 3 pasties, which as you can see are huge! They were packed with filling and their simple presentation made it seem more rustic. I would suggest though some salad leave, just for presentation. We also got a aborted wrap. This was decent too, we asked for avocado but it was forgotten, but no big deal.

Friday 22 June 19, we visited Gweek, with its tiny tributaries and boats on the Helford River. We walked round the village taking photographs and looking at the boats on the river and in the dockyard. I spent some time sitting in the sun on a bench by the river; it was very peaceful and very tranquil.

Wonderful! Very welcoming group of committed staff, bit like being invited to an evening in their home. Choice of varied outside seating with chimeneas (sp?) and fire pits flaming for a warmth and colour, and interesting views of the incoming tide and boats as well as evening swoops of swallows over the mudflats. Table inside was good, cafe spacious and could have accommodated more people had they wished (the event was precooked and sold out quickly). Food very interesting and delicate, especially the lamb spiced stew. We drove 10 miles to get here and would do so again. And we’ll return for lunch one day. No trouble parking, by the way - obviously you do not park next to one of the parked boats on the hard! Thanks.

We've visited the Café quite a few times since it opened and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. The Boatyard Breakfast is very good value for money as is the Boatyard Burger which is made with local burgers from the Lizard. All of the food is obviously freshly prepared using quality ingredients. Susie and her team are always welcoming and now that the outside seating area is completed we can't think of a better place to sit and watch the world - well swans and ducks - go by. The Café is also dog friendly and Dennys our lurcher gives it five 'paws'.
