Great food,super friendly and helpful staff

Large eating area with televisions showing Sky Sport News on silent. Continuous music played too loudly. Very average menu choices offering minimal vegetarian options. Quick service from friendly staff.

Amazing food nothing too complicated but definitely more than you pay and delicious. The staff are amazing especially one of the staff named Jenni, super friendly and spectacular customer service will definitely be coming back

Nice food, but over priced. Worst thing was ordered food and drinks at the same time via app from table, Received food within 10 minutes and no drinks. Waited 20 mins after receiving food and had to the bar to get drinks and was told manner was in lunch. No sincere apology from the staff member and had to bring drinks to my table myself where food was now cold and some family members had finished their food. Not happy with the service at all. Probably won’t return for reasons above.

One particular young lady,behind the bar was dam right rude.Ihad a discussion with the manager in the show bar,who didn’t seem to bothered.don’t use the app,we waited 40 minutes for two drinks,despite being very quiet.the food is ok.we ordered a starter and mains,they brought them all out together.sent the mains back.when we did get them,they was Luke warm.so gave up.

The service was pretty good, except for a moody bar person, the food is not that good, but being the only sit down resturant on site one has a limited choice, over priced for what is served! The breakfast was decent but again not great.

The people at the bar are soo slow at serving customers honestly the whole place where they serve people is just a joke ! , i ordered a drink to be delivered to the table and it took them for 1 drink 35min to take to me only because i went to ask where my drink was .. when it came it was all watery and melted bo flavour at all and i paid nearly £5 for it ! Today i wanted to ask something at the bar about my food order if they can remove the mushrooms as no option when i order on the app and my food came before i could even speak to anyone at the bar because they were soo slow and too busy chatting personal conversations! Service needs to improve massively.

Lovely friendly staff, lovely atmosphere didn't eat there but the food looked great. No wifi available which was a shame, I believe there is no wifi in the entire site. Other than that I was top notch

Sadly, the holiday park is obviously suffering from staff shortage and inexperience. The complex lacks any atmosphere, and most of the activities are closed or greatly reduced to insufficient staff. We didn't fancy the food on offer as we have dietary restrictions, which the menu didn't cater for.

While we we're staying at Parkdeans Camber Sands we decided to pay the The Boathouse a visit. Easy to find on the park, drinks wether soft one's or alcoholic we're excellent and decently priced, there is a wide choice of food and again decently priced. The staff are very helpful and one of the ladies, Ina, was a beauty, she loved to have a natter and a laugh too. Thankyou guy's and doll's of Parkdeans Camber Sands for making our holiday a great one and will remember it with a smile for a long time.

Probably the best value meals at the Park Dean resort. Although there aren't many good establishments on offer. The breakfast here was fantastic and I would definitely recommend.

OK for a holiday park. Food was actually pretty good and meal deals are OK (breakfast 2 for 15.99 large but good amount of food) drinks are very expensive though. Fruit shoot for kids £2.50....could buy a whole pack for that in tesco! Worst issue was long queues at the bar. Not the staff who are there fault. They were mostly happy to help just not enough of them on some occasions. Recommend ordering on the app if you can as it seems quicker.

Ordered a gluten free breakfast. Got no toast, they had no bread but no discount or alternative either. The sausage was normal but passed off as gluten free..( you can tell by the texture guys) The fried egg came later but slimy. Most people are not gluten free by choice - there are usually medical reasons. SO BAD Get a grip PARKDEAN

Staff are rude food is rank Place is dirty would get no stars waste of money. Didn’t even eat in there after the first day. Staff give you dirty looks make you feel uncomfortable and one knocked my daughter over without even looking back seeing if she was okay. Will not be going again vile and dirty place. Would recommend walking to the camber castle or pelican fish and chips. Over priced and vile. Not even my 3 year old or 1 year old daughter ate anything in there.

Football on tv was sooo loud. Not everyone likes football. Staff chatting amongst themselves. Food and drink very expensive

Is the onsite restaurant at camber sands holiday park in East sussex. It is a bit expensive but the food portions where a good size and quite filling, even the kids meals where a good size. The food looked good quality.

Absolutely shocking. Cold, I was going to say food but what was served to us barely passed a pig swill. Please save your money and buy a packet of crisps.

The prices for food and drink are expensive for example £5-69 for pint lager that's the actual bar price, the security personnel are to jobs worthy OTT.

When we arrived nobody told us how to order, the staff acted like they didn't want to be there which made me not want to be there so we left. Treat your customers with anything other than whatever it was I was served with. If I could do negative stars I would. Plus over priced

Way overpriced for substandard food and the hygiene is questionable.

Overly loud music. Staff unfriendly. Food awful. Dirty. Unkempt. Sticky bar floor. Yuk.

The food was increasingly disappointing. I ordered a medium steak which came well done. It was supposedly steak night, but we were charged full price anyway. My sister's fish had soggy batter and my boyfriend's spaghetti Bolognese was flavourless and a tiny portion for the price charged. A lot of the restaurants menu options were out of stock, like there was no pizzas whatsoever available despite having a whole pizza section on the menu. We were also rushed through our evening meal as the kitchen didn't close before the restaurant closes. My sister didn't even get to finish her birthday meal (the whole reason we came). We tried to compromise and ask for a box or bag to take out what she had left but they said they didn't have anything to do so. Apparently the restaurant itself offers take out food so I felt this would have been possible quite easily. Very expensive for very little value. The staff were friendly but there didn't seem to be a lot of staff around. The service was slower than expected for this reason. Could do with some improvement definitely - I wondered about whether there were several chefs or only one overworked and overwhelmed as the food seemed to get worse each day we ate there. There wasn't much other option than to eat here while staying at Parkdean Camber Sands as most of the food places were closed and the gas oven in the caravan seemed to cook things unevenly. Fairly disappointed with the food here, but the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere of the place was nicer than the quality of our meals.

Waited 45 minutes for two drinks ordered via the app, wasn't particularly busy. Went up and enquired and was told 'I was just getting to you' Food was fairly well priced

Eaten here every day of our holiday and it's been great. The promotion for kids half price meals is a big help. My son enjoyed his food as did I. The pancakes with Nutella and ice cream was amazing. I used the app to order and it was much quicker than waiting to get served. Little slow on the bar but they did their best. Overall very pleased.

Nice place but the staff are overrun & the food takes very long to arrive. In my case it took about 45mins to arrive. The food on the other hand was fantastic & well prepared. As there are loads of families there the place is well maintained and clean. The toilets were kept clean too. There is also a good range of food on the menu. Overall a good experience 👍😁🍾

Food is adequate and the service was very quick.(when we ordered) but I know it can be very busy. Atmosphere is ok the sitting area is clean and the outside area has music playing at times.

Just got back from a lovely holiday at Camber Sands, lovely holiday park, very friendly, nice staff & entertainment & food in The Boathouse was excellent aswell as the takeaways. Would recommend.

Overpriced, food arrived cold and bland with small portions after a fairly long wait. Wasn't even at half capacity when we visited. Kids meals were decent. Looked better than adults mains. Used the app which worked OK. Was a long wait at the bar. Nice decor but not enough staff to even clean the tables.

The food is good and hot. Service can be a bit slow at times. Good selection of wine, beer, and spirits.

Eat in here twice last week and both times the food was cold and long waiting times not just food but drinks as well

Took ages for food to come out when it did it was luke warm one young girl stood out among all I felt sorry for her she's definitely going to go far but the rest just took the mickey I would sack half of them and start again manager was walking around chit chatting arguing with staff not good to see get stuck in with staff they need a kick up the rear end sorry for this rant but it needs to be sorted

Half a roast chicken and ribs was a big let down, chips over cooked, roast chicken was not very nice and the bbq ribs were OK but ridiculously small. Not worth the money at all

We are owners on the park absolutely terrible never any staff to much waiting for food small portions sort this out this has been the same since we have been at camber sands soo sad but sort this out camber sands pls

I am so dissapointed to write this as I've been to this park a couple of years back and had a great time. Unfortunately at the boathouse wassuch a letdown and so expensive. I ordered 2 teas and 2 slushies. The tea was basically water and milk, it was that vile we tipped it away, it was undrinkable. The slushies were the wrong mix. It was that sweet my children couldn't drink them. We tried them and sure enough it was like pure cordial. I went back to the bar with the drinks to be told they measure them out properly so can't be anything wrong with them. I said again, they are undrinkable, the bar lad just took them away, no apology, no refund. We never went back again for the rest of the holiday. The bar lad also needs to at least put a brush through his shoulder length hair. He looked a mess. I know we live in a crazy woke society now, but seriously, staff are supposed to be representing the business. His apathetic attitude matched his appearance.

Unfortunately was shut for the whole weekend was suppose to be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner due to a fault was very disappointed had taken my friend away as she had a bad time lately so was a one off. We had to have a takeaway which was chicken bit like KFC or burgers in a van on the premises or fish and chips admittedly we could eat it in the restaurant but wasn't the same 😞 cannot rate the above didn't have anything in there only a drink

Staff ok but uncleaned table attracted seagulls and glasses were broken. Otherwise it was OK once cleaned the person was pleasant and apologetic.

Kitchen closed for the duration of our stay! Due to apparent gas leak. Surely that could have been sorted? Some Staff amazing some rude

The only person we saw happy and smiling was the poster Parkdean put up in the corner of the Boathouse. And sadly it is nothing like the poster or their website advertises. Dont get me wrong, the food is great, and the quality of the food is awesome. The pepperoni pizzas are amazing, and we will have them again if we could! But sadly the service is terrible, and the cleanliness of the tables are not great. There is only 1 lady behind the counter working, no other staff to be found. And she cannot cope with the amount of customers orders at the counter, then still do online table orders from the app, pour drinks, clean tables, and the rest. I felt sorry for her rushing around so much trying to do it all. Tables stood with old half eaten plates of food the whole time we were there 2 1/2 hours, they never cleared the tables of old plates and glasses. Tables are always sticky, and stained with old food dried on. My wife carried anti bacterial wipes in her bag to wipe tables, and surfaces before our kids sat down, as it is gross to let your kids eat off tables where uour arm gets glued to the table when you sit down. Environmental health will have a field day if they saw what we saw. The outside restuarant area is even worse, with old cigarette butts everywhere, cigarette ash blowing over the tables and into your eyes and drinks, quite a few tables had old dried on bird droppings and seagul droppings, baked onto the tables, you would need a putty knife to scrape it off. So you know it's been there for 2 days at least. Also tables left with piles of old dirty plates and left over food never cleared, which was attracting all the birds. The list goes on. We ordered 7 glasses of juice for our table, it took 43 minutes to get them from ordering. Bear in mind it was lunch time 12oclock and there were only about 15 to 20 occupied tables. The place has capacity for over a hundred tables to be occupied. Our food took a further 15 minutes to arrive. So almost an hour wait for food, and 43mins for a drink. Already we were annoyed by having to wait 43 minutes for a fruit juice. The atmosphere is also spoilt by the very loud dance music they play in the restaurant from morning till night. You have to lean forward in your chair over the table to be able to hear the person on the other side of the table. So it's not a very relaxing experience, as after 30mins you just want to go somewhere quiet where you can actually hear each other speak. If I was a 20 year old raver I would have loved it I'm sure, but as a 43 year old dad, with 4 small kiddies, it was torture. I kept getting flashbacks of glowsticks, flashing lights, fogg blowing in my face, and high pitched whistles. It left me with an involuntary eye twitching. To sum up, the food is great, the 1 lady working there is a star and a trooper, everything else expect dirty, noisy, long waits and a headache. Pack anti bacterial wipes, they are a life saver!!!

Just awkward place. The food is not nice. Have order roasted chicken, tasted like boiled and in the end put inside the oven to get skin a bit crispy. Ridiculous

Very dirty tables and menus, ordered on the app but still had to line up to get our drinks for breakfast. At dinner we had calamari without the sauce. Wouldn't recommend.

Is a nice enough place to sit and have a drink but the seagulls are annoying the plates are left on tables tends to look untidy

Food took over wn hour for 4 very simple meals (2 children's meals in that, that's not the issue ... the issue is being told it'll be 10 minutes and it arriving over 45 minutes after that ! Pints were flat and not cold... bottled drinks fine and spirit with mixers fine. Food when it finally came was satisfactory at best but wouldn't recommend eating here if you're staying at the site, walk 5-10 mins down the road and go to a pub ! Plus it'll be cheaper 🤣 holiday was good... this place was not...

This was a good find, nice pub doing nice food. Definitely a level above the other places in Camber. We had lovely fresh Oysters and good Roast lunches. Good wine and beer selection. Will definitely return. Good fish options meant choice for pescatatrians too.

Ordered pizza took an hour to deliver hard and no quality cheese. Chicken strips are ok, but again, delay . Not recommended for food.

Horrible experience. Ordering on the app was not available so had to queue for 20mins at the bar to order. Tables were not cleaned, leftovers sat out for hours. The bar had ran out of ice and fruit shoots weren't refridgerated. Waited 1hr 50mins for food (no warning of a long wait when I ordered) and when it finally came lots of it was lukewarm and some was missing. Our request for money back was refused. They did give us free desserts but it did not compensate for the awful experience. Do not eat here.

Not fit for purpose. After waiting 90 minutes for my order to arrive, I finally gave up. Not acceptable particularly with young children Previous evening also appeared to be issues as well with queues extremely long As the only on-site pub/restaurant it has to better than this

Waited over an hour for lukewarm food to arrive and the drinks weren't delivered quickly either. Ordered via the app with no message warning of a delay. 30mins after ordering, asked a member of the front of house team where our food was. 15mins later and she still hadn't returned, so I spoke to someone who appeared to be the duty manager. He said he'd seen our order in the kitchen and it was either being plated up, or due to be plated up next. 15mins later our food still hadn't arrived and the front of house team member appeared to tell us our food was being plated up now and would be next out of the kitchen. 10mins later our food appeared putting our total wait to almost an hour and a quarter. We were hoping the food would be great given how long we'd waited, but sadly not. The chilli beef on the nachos was luke warm and the onion rings on the family sharing platter were cold. All in all, a terrible experience and wouldn't recommend dining here unless you like to wait a long time for mediocre food.

Great food once you get it but service is slow and the place is grubby, staff are overstretched and apparently underpaid. Breakfast time was faultless and the food was good. 5 star for this part. Went for dinner, ordered on the app, went to chase drink order after 25 minutes to find it sat getting warm on a tray on the bar - it had obviously been arranged by bar staff but whoever was on duty to distribute drinks hadn't got round to it. Helped myself to the tray, knowing I had proof of order on the app - no one noticed. Food came out a while after - hot, tasty and although slightly small in portion size, well presented. A lot of the tables are not cleaned properly, and the outside area needs a decent jet washing and scrub. Staff are really in short supply but all friendly and very helpful.

What is going on with this place. Staff bad attitude (probably as not enough staff for the amount of customers) Very little staff so wait ages to get served or if you order through app you end up going to get the drinks off the end of the bar. (27 mins for 2 pints today) The tables never get cleared. Tonight 70% of the restaurant had dirty plates and glasses piled up on all the tables At 1200 there was an hour and half wait for food but literally no customers (Guessing short staffed again) Reasonable priced drinks but you really need to up your game. We literally watched all the seagulls eating off all the tables outside and an hour later these tables were still not cleared. We had breakfast at 10am came back just after 12 for a coffee and the dirty plated were still on the table!!!!

Typical holiday park, it is what it is

Good food and drink and reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and helpful. Little soft play area was good, however very busy with a lot of children at peak times (as to be expected). Good variety of sport played and screens placed all around for full viewing from whereever you were seated including outside!

Chilli concarne and lasagne cooked to perfection.Gammon amazing.Had a medium rare steak which is the best I've ever tasted.All sides were excellent.Great service and waited about 15 minutes for a freshly cooked meal.

Ate here a few times. Not really expecting it to be other than fast food, but quality was good and food plentiful. very kind staff.

Over priced, much of the menu was not available (to the extent that even the available items used "plastic" cheese rather than a chunk in, say, a ploughman's sandwich), staff were overwhelmed, had to wait over an hour for food. Overall, I wouldn't recommend eating there, use the takeaways outside.

Ask how long wait was for food before ordering on a non weekend. 30 mins was told after an hour still no food. One bar staff went to ask but never came back to us to advise, instead hide behind a post. Got a refund but staff and manager didn't seem bothered. Seems like most people have to get refunds due to poor service.

This place has the fastest food service Ive ever had. You order and in less than 10m food and drinks are on your table. Downside is that food is probably not warmed up as it should. My veg curry was hot while the white rice was cold as if it was just defrosted and straight to the plate. The kids pizza was as hot as when you heat it in the microwave. Always better than having to cook after a long walk or a day at the beach.

I hated everything.. we order a family sharing main, and the portion of the food is for only one the presentation of the food was horrible. They forgot our drinks, I had to go get it at the bar. The tables were dirty, I couldn't find anyone to clean them. Bad experience, never come back.

plenty of staff last week although there were few guests, so no issues. we only ate dinner here once all week, because of the rain we didnt venture out of the camp, but the food was surprisingly good and fair value too. bar prices are about the same as pub prices for down here. beer was well kept.

We had a lovely meal everything cooked well, took about 30 minutes which is fine, we then ordered dessert one sticky toffee pudding and 3 ice cream sundaes we waited about 45 minutes and nothing went back up asked how long it would be and the lady working the bar was surprised we hadn't got them she went to check and said they will be out shortly so we waited another 20 minutes still nothing so asked for a refund for the dessert which they did give us. Otherwise it would of been 5 star.

Had good experience on Friday when having drinks. Saturday 24/09/22 we ordered food for two tables. We ordered first of three for our tables (2x burgers). 1.5 hrs later the 1st order for our tables was delivered. 20 mins later the 2nd arrived, ours never did. I complained and was told it had been delivered to our table and had been accepted by someone on our table. I challenged them to get the waiter to confirm this or look at the CCTV as they where effectively calling me blind and the rest of our party thieves. They eventually sent out the order and it was completely wrong. I spoke to a manager who was quite frankly disinterested and incompetent. Will not eat there again as poorly run during busy periods when the staff are clearly overwhelmed & managed by people who have no right to call themselves managers.
