Lovely place to sit and have a tea/coffee in the evening. Gets very busy in the daytime but staff are very accommodating and thorough in clearing tables for a swift changeover. Would recommend a visit 👌

We stopped here on our walk across the beach. There are many cafes to choose from, but I am very glad we selected this place. The chocolate sundae was a big hit with us and the pricing was very reasonable. The following evening we returned to listen to the live music they had. Again, we had the sundae! Would recommend

A good place to sit a relaxed and look out over Weymouth bay.

My wife, two sons and I enjoyed a nice dinner. The chips are fantastic and we all enjoyed the burgers and nuggets too. Would highly recommend.

We was on a day trip and decided to have lunch at the boat cafe we had fish and chips and sausage and chips and it was beautiful cooked just right the waiting time was next to nothing and the staff was so busy but their customer service was second to none absolutely brilliant I would recommend anyone visiting Weymouth must give the boat cafe a try I'm glad we did and I'm sure you will be aswell Maureen Kenny From bicester Oxon

Best place for a sun down drink

A delightful eatery right on the beach. The food was great, the service excellent and the view out across the bay amazing. The staff were friendly and professional despite it being very busy, making the atmosphere even better 👍

Only had a coffee but very nice, reasonably priced. Sat on the decking over the sand and lost ourselves people watching. Plenty of food being served, empty plates when people left so must have been at least reasonable. Friendly and polite staff.

Wow what a lovely place on the seafront, came to Weymouth today for a day visit and stopped here for breakfast and had the best bacon and sausage bap and at such a reasonable price too that I ended up ordering another one and then came back at lunch and had a mr whippy Ice cream followed by a lovely burger and chips. Definitely recommend this place for food and drinks and staff are really friendly too. Can’t wait to come back again in the summer holidays

The service was very quick and they warn you about the seagulls which are likely to take your food if you're not wary

What a lovely place, came down from London in October last year and coming to Weymouth in May this year. My wife and I are both chefs in London and we were so impressed with the quality of the food and the service which was a busy day, Saturday. Great to see young people being employed and working hard with a lovely attitude. See you soon for fish and chips.

Our group ordered cheesy chips and egg Mayonnaise sandwich - was good. Right on seafront. Busy but not a long wait. No toilets. Accessible in some places.

used it for breakfast a few times and was always good service and for basic food , baps etc .handy for tea and coffee during the day

Visited Weymouth for the Dorset Seafood Festival weekend just gone; awesome weekend. Decided to stop for a cool beer and wine before heading back to our campsite and came across The Boat Cafe. Now it seems everyone I know was aware that alcoholic slush puppies are a thing; for me it was like someone, for the first time, introducing me to the wheel (was very excitable lol). However this review is not about that splendid beverage discovery. Location is amazing and every member of staff we encountered were fun, friendly and helpful. Thanks to the the full team for what ended up being a great couple of hours.

I was very surprised to see one of the Staff swearing and shouting at a customer Someone called Honey should definitely not be in a job dealing with the public as has no personal skills Very unprofessional especially with a lot of Families around

Beachside cafe serving food and drinks as well as alcohol. We visited in the evening when there was a band playing so the place was heaving. We only stopped for drinks but relatives who live in Weymouth use this place regularly and like it.

This cafe is nice, I didn't get much because I was going to play volleyball with some friends. So I only got some chips, it quite busy but I ordered and was waiting for maybe 10 mins I could see they were talking to each other but I didn't want to be rude so I asked and they gave me my chips they said they were on the side and they didn't realise which isn't to big but I thought it could of been better. Other than that they were nice chips!

Lovely place right on the beach, we visited 3 times over the weekend. Staff are all so friendly. Our little girl had surgery last week on a broken arm and the ladies serving made her feel so special and even decorated her milkshake cup for her. Would 100% recommend and will definitely return 👍

Best cafe in Weymouth myself and my wife always visit when we are in town lovely food and coffee and good service.

For a beach front location, for me it's the best cafe in Weymouth. Even on a wet day I will sit outside and watch what the sea is doing. The staff have always got a smile on there faces when they serve you, even when you are the only ones sat out there in the rain 😍

I would like to thank the young lady who looked after me on Thursday afternoon,I didn’t get her name.After she served me my fish & chips,she later came to see if my meal was ok.Unfortunately being a bit disabled, I suddenly felt ill .She took my meal which looked delicious & put it in a takeaway box for me to take home.I had a taxi booked for 4.30 but as it was only 3.30 she cancelled that for me and got me an earlier one and came to tell me when it arrived.That is what I call excellent customer service. Always have coffee when in Weymouth first class.

The staff are always very friendly here and they do good coffee too. It's conveniently next to the beach ⛱️ so good for families and everyone.

Sat outside in the sun. Friendly helpful staff who provided fresh water for our dog. Lovely coffee. Don't queue on the street side as that is for take away. Go round the beach side to find a table and order from the other side.

Wonderful as ever, from the friendly staff, clean cafe to that fantastic vista the boat cafe is the perfect place for your refreshments stop.

Fun, simple food and alcohol means peaceful beach watching.

A very pleasant spot for an ice cream or afternoon cup of tea. The weather was being kind today, so ice cream it was - Mr Whippy + flake. I had hoped to attach a photograph of my mother eating said 99, but she declined. Shame. 🏖️🍦🍦🏖️

Had a day in Weymouth and arrived to try and find breakfast. Lots of places seemed closed ( guess it is a bit out of season) or not really serving anything like a breakfast. Then we found The Boat, view across the bay - tick; outdoor seating - tick (thankfully nobody smoking nearby); good breakfast buns - tick; and hot tasty coffee - tick again. Could have easily lingered for longer but we were in Weymouth to explore the town

Great location - literally on the beach - recommended for the great food and drink, ice-creams, take-away and sit 'in'. Good menu choices. Only downside is they are obsessed with only giving paper cups after a certain time - and some drinks just don't suit paper cups - but they would rather lose business than be flexible. Shame...

My friend for whom I'm carer, as he has learning difficulties, went to one of the windows to ask for salt and pepper. We were eating at one of the tables. For some reason, I think because he is diffident and vulnerable, the girl at the washing up window, Alice, started laughing at him, and to make things even worse, turned to one of the other girls who also started laughing at him. He was absolutely mortified and felt humiliated. Fortunately one of the other employees heard what was going on and came to his rescue, stepping outside and showing him where the salt and pepper were. I've never seen such despicable behaviour towards a disabled person. Their ignorance and cruelty was beyond belief.

Cant leave no stars so left 1 Overpriced hot dog which is not a hot dog but a cremated sausage in a dry baguette might as well eat my flip flop SAVE your money n go McDonald's

Food and staff were nice. But due to seasonal demand we had a 30 minute wait which I will add was advised to me by the staff prior to my order going in. Which I thought was courteous 💪

We had lovely ham salad sandwiches on brown bread. Food lovely and fresh and very tasty. It’s right in the beach so be aware of the ‘seagulls’. Lovely cup of coffee.

We have just had lunch at the cafe and would definitely recommend to others. We sat looking out onto the beach, under a shade so that was great as it was supper hot. We had lunch and smoothies, both delicious . Fairly priced. We had a large Baguette, side salad and chips for £9.

The coffees are brilliant, staff so helpful and friendly the food looked good, but we only stopped for a drink.

Very enjoyable lunch, we were made aware of the seagulls trying to get at your food, we were well aware but unfortunately the family on the adjoining table encountered the gulls as they were coming to the end of the meal. Quite a task to chase them off which was a bit upsetting for their children. Just be prepared. Unfortunately over the years people have feed them and it has become a problem. The staff do what they can but it is an open environment. PLEASE DON'T FEED THE LOCALS (Gulls 🤣)

Lovely food, excellent service.

Went for lunch yesterday. It was another lovely sunny day in Weymouth. Fabulous scenery and the food was fine. Reasonably priced and quick service. The only thing that lets this place down is that you are eating under siege of the gulls. Whilst we were there one had a ladies fish from her plate whilst she was eating. Another swooped on our table trying to grab our food, hitting our daughter in the face with its wings whilst grabbing at her plate. If anyone gets up to leave the tables fill with gulls within seconds. I know it’s the sea side and there are gulls, I’m local and they are everywhere. I just feel that this restaurant could do more about the problem. Maybe some strings of lights above diners, or strings of flags would deter them, even parasols would help. Or kites flying above like some other local restaurants have. It does spoil it.

Always good sit and enjoy the scenery, Weymouth Bay. Friendly staff and good food..
