The Blues Kitchen in Camden

Been here on Friday in the booked room next to the staircase to the restrooms. Very good service, I'd like to express gratitude to the waiting staff, really attentive, good-humoured, patient and efficient and I think they tried to be as helpful as possible.

Bad experience with the service. They didn't bring what I ordered and then asked me to leave my table because the "time was out" ??? I asked for my order, and instead they gave me my bill...

Fantastic experience! The food was delicious, the decor lovely, and the toilets spotless. But the highlight was Mattie incredibly kind, helpful, and made us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely be back!

We were lucky enough to discover this great restaurant during our stay in London! The atmosphere is great, the cocktails are just perfect 🍹 and the dishes are a real delight 😋. One of the best pub if not the best in Camden. Great atmosphere, lot or choices of beers, few things to eat on the card. If you're in weekend, you may enter for free before 8 PM, before the concerts are beginning, then you shall pay.

Really busy place…food was nice. BUT… we ordered soft drinks and nobody even asked us if we want ice, they put ice in our glasses without asking… I don’t need to say if someone put a lot of ice in the drink the amount of juice was really bad… we took the ice out and juice was only on the bottom….

Went for a friend's birthday. OK vibe, varied mix of people, but many didn't seem to notice or care that my friend had booked a private space and we had some issues with people being shitty about it but it's not cheap to hire the area!! I think this was the case because the venue is long and narrow so if you want to see the band there isn't a great deal of space to do so. My main complaint is the drinks. My martini glasses were not full, nor was my friends virgin paloma. The virgin coladas consisted of a few shots of pineapple, coconut and lime juice, the glass was mostly large ice and the juice was still way short of the glass! £7 for what was probably 100ml of juice. I'd personally not return.

I’ve been to Blues many of times in the past but it was my first time at the camden branch. James made my experience absolutely out of this world amazing! He was so incredibly attentive and just hilarious! He didnt stop making us laugh and checking up on us, we felt so taken care of. Thank you JAmes! 5 Stars for you!!

Omg the best service ever, i was served by a lovely young lady named Mattie! - Please ensure to ask for her when you pay your visit, she was AMAZING. always making sure we were ok, checking if we needed anything, and providing the best service, and she made our time even more enjoyabloe. Generally a great spot, and i am incredibly pleased :) This is my new spot, and i will deffo be back

I have been living in Camden for 6 years, and The Blues Kitchen has always been my favorite place. I have visited at least 30 times and enjoyed your delicious food many times. I was there again yesterday and sadly found out that your menu has changed. Unfortunately, the new menu was not tasty at all, and both my friends and I were very disappointed. Personeel was zo lief en behulpzaam, ik had per ongeluk bij de verkeerde locatie geserveerd maar gelukkig deden ze er niet moeilijk over want het gebeurde vaker.. een speciale shoutout naar Roma <3 deze meid heeft mij door een hele pittige curry geholpen met glazen melk en een heerlijk toertje daarna! Bedankt voor een geweldige avond.

Had lunch. Shrimp sandwich and brisket sandwich. Food was lovely. Chef was extremely accommodating as I have a slight allergy and made sure everything was perfect. Food was delicious. Well priced. Loved the decor too. Would definitely visit again perhaps at night when there is music .

Atmosphere and music was amazing, felt like a perfect place to have drinks, food and have a time listening to the heart and soul of blues played by locals of the city. Drinks service was quite slow with some bar tenders being more talkative to co workers than tending to guests. But the drinks were really good. Recommend fully. (Can’t comment on food but looked splendid)

Mattie is a total hero. Nothing is too difficult and everything happens exactly when it needs to. Total personality. As much fun to spend time with as the band!

I decided to pop in after a friend recommended it and it did not disappoint! The staff were all lovely and the food was amazing- both taste and price wise. The atmosphere is light and casual and overall I had a great time :) will definitely be going back

We had a server called Rama, and she was so funny, attentive and provided amazing service. I make it a thing to come to blues kitchen when I’m in London and I’m never disappointed. Can’t recommend the food and staff enough

My Son and I were up from Plymouth today 16/04/25 My son had vegan cheese burger with a side of padron peppers and I had taco bowl with chicken both with a camdons hells. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. A great place to eat. Thanks

Blues is great. The wings are actually some of the best I’ve had anywhere.

Great place! Full of friendly people! However the dance floor is long so if you're at the far back it might be difficult to see the band. The food is good. Recommended after Manchester branch, which is loads better.

Fantastic place in the centre of Camden. The best service I have ever experienced in London. Kind and professional simply isn't enough. Great pub food in posh style. Very nice selection of drinks and cocktails. And of course live music. Superb atmosphere and tons of great people. Decorations out of this planet.

Top service. Could even have gluten free burgers and brownies. Know their stuff and have an allergy card. Highly recommended.

This place is great, we were able to walk in and get a seat. The food and drinks were good pub fair. The blues was enjoyable and the band changes constantly.

Went with a group of people. It's decor reminds me of pub meets bar. We sat in a cramped booth, needs to be more spacious to access and exit. Blackened salmon was perfect, served with four tiny potatoes. Need to look at ratio and size of portions. The tortillas were disappointing, in terms of quality, broke apart when making wraps. Beef on the bone was nice with accompanying splendid sauce. Drinks were pretty amazing, made well by experienced bartenders.

Fabuloso bar justo fuera están el hotel The Hub... la arquitectura en este bar es fantástica si aprecias ese tipo de cosas... si no probar esto en su lugar... música genial en vivo 7 noches a la semana... no comimos allí, pero la comida se veía increíble golpeando las mesas el personal era cálido y amable y llegamos a tomar un cóctel el miércoles a mitad de precio por la noche a solo £ 6 la bebida y chico eran buenos... todo el ambiente y la atmósfera era encantador... sin duda volveremos de nuevo....

Visited Blues Kitchen for a drink and I have to say how refreshing it is to see a place allow its team to act like real human beings. Lewis and Stella behind the bar were having a great laugh - whilst making great drinks - and that is very infectious for a bar environment. Great stuff. Non alc Paloma was banging as well.

A perfect place to stop and recharge your batteries. Quite traditional without being overwhelming.

I recommend the sharing menu for 2, affordable price!! The mac and cheese is incredible!!! Be careful, you have to book in advance and it's still very spicy. Thank you 🥰

A stop with a good hamburger in a very particular environment is perfect. I definitely recommend the evening because there is live music on certain nights. Friendly waiters and American-style environment.

We went for a blues and r&b night. Beautiful, evocative and very youthful place. Unfortunately the events start late (around 10am, so not great for those staying in central London), but beyond that super recommended

Habib on the door is a legend. give this man a raise. Told us where we could go for some good scran nearby and reminded us to put phones away in case of snatchers. Habib, if you're reading this. You're the man. I owe you so much.

Went in for a quick bite before a gig. £6 margarita Tuesdays. Went for the plum, and it was very good! So good.. I had 2 Had a chicken burger, which wasn't much to look at but was absolutely delicious 👌🏻

The sharing rib meal, a feast of corn and crab butter, creamy mac n cheese, chips, and a refreshing dressed lettuce wedge, was so utterly delicious that it completely erased the memory of the poor service. The beef rib was sensationally tender and tasty. The drinks and cocktails leaned towards the pricey side, but if catching the live entertainment then it's excellent value. Highly recommended food. My Guinness had a clover imprint in the foamy head! Beautiful decor added to the ambience.

Great restaurant, food and service were fabulous. Chicken sandwich with hot honey and the beef share plate were both superb. Cocktails for anyone taste.

We would've given this place five stars overall if it weren't for the atrocious value for money. The service was fantastic, and the food was great and different from anything we've tried before, but the fact that a single toasted sandwich cost £15 was impossible to overlook - simply too much money for the portion size even by London standards. It also didn't come with chips, so we had to pay an extra £5 for a little pot...they were amazing though!

I usually go to the Blues kitchen so I know the food and atmosphere is always on point! I had to leave a review for the Camden branch as I had lovely service from three staff, unfortunately did not get the person’s name who seated me and took my order but she was helpful and asked if I needed feeding chair for my baby. Jim and Marnie were also attentive and helpful being they knew I was on my own with my baby. Marnie was kind to hold my baby for me whilst I put my baby sling on, when I was leaving. Overall was pleased with everything!

Absolutely amazing place!!! Everything about this place felt like i was welcome. The open mic music night was spectacular. The food blew my mind (i had the taco bowl with shrimp and avocado) and i have had the best cocktail in my life here (the lychee one). The bouncer was super friendly and promised to keep an eye on me. (i was alone 21 year old girl) I felt very safe staying until 1 am. Ive met some locals but also some internationals. Its a very inclusive place. Service was out of this world. Everyone is happy, like the staff genuinely enjoys their jobs. Bartenders are attentive. We had to wait a couple minutes for our table to be free (we made a reservation at 8pm and we got our table at 8.15pm) The person in charge kindly offered me and my friends a free drink. We were planning on getting a cocktail first so we asked if that was okay. (Since we felt bad about ordering the most expensive one) but he shrug his shoulders and said "ofcourse thats totally fine!!!" with a big smile on his face. Me and my friends are from the Netherlands and visited london for 4 days. We went to many different bars and pubs and restaurants. This one was 100% my favourite.

Excellent staff. Good buzz in the room. It was a Monday too. Like the decor. Menu picing is reasonable. Decent range of on tap beers. Cocktails 🍸 were good I'm told. Good evening out.

Everything was amazing. I arrived 20 minutes late and our receptionist kindly put us first on the list. After 3 minutes we were shown to our table where our amazing waitress Kenzie gave us an amazing night with her good humor and her lovely energy

Kenzie Kenzie Kenzie she such a charming lady and she has great energy we felt like we were home. When we ask about anything on the menu she knows everything and she shares her thoughts and advises us to go with certain things she didn’t disappoint us.

Had my birthday dinner here yesterday and it was brilliant! Everything from the decor to the awesomely friendly staff - they really took care of us and made us feel welcome. The food was super delicious (the corn bread was such a treat!) and the cocktails were tasty (and reasonably priced). Will be back again soon for sure.

Was an excellent place, whilst there was a little issue with how long food took, the proactive response from the manager was superb (even though it was barely an issue)...superb!! Will go again. Cocktails fun, good menu, do recommend (and haven't even checked out the music, which I'm sure will make it even better).

Very chic bar! Unfortunately, the live music doesn't start until relatively late (9:45 p.m. in our case) and there are only small stools with tables in front of the stage.

Great atmosphere, was super packed however for a booking of 15 people and to be given 3 small round tables stopped this from being a full 5 stars... However we made it work and overall it was a great evening.

Jim , We had a very unpleasant experience with the staff. A waiter rudely pressured us to pay and leave the table, even though we only wanted to check the total before settling the bill. His attitude was negative and unfriendly, which made us feel uncomfortable. We understand that restaurants need to turn tables, but there are more polite ways to communicate this. Unfortunately, after this experience, we have no desire to return or recommend.

I booked this for my partner as a surprise. Our table was for 7.30 on a Thursday and got there an hour early, so we happily had a cocktail and sat by the bar. One our table was ready.. our food was lovely! But no music was playing and it quickly got really busy- at about 8 we asked our waitress when the music might start. She said 10pm and that we had to leave our dinner table at 8.30 for other people- but by this time there were no other seats left. The time of the music was shown nowhere in the bar or on the website and meant we would’ve had to wait 3 and a half hours overall - we chose to leave and go somewhere else but were really disappointed.

Such a nice place with amazing staff and good vibes. I enjoyed my time there and prices were very reasonable.

We were 20 mn late and considered no show but the waitress managed to find a table for us. We had the chicken burger and a taco bowl, both really good.

There was a shard of ceramic / plate inside the cheeseburger spring rolls. This was very dangerous and could have caused serious injury. They took the spring rolls back, but no further effort was made by the staff. I don’t know why this would happen but I would never eat here again.
