Fantastic place. Was heading to Koko and the food here set me up for the night. Great food and good selection of drinks

Should be live music from 9 but starts later. Music is hard to hear because everyone is very loud. Good looking place and friendly staff, but be careful when you don't want the most expensive wine....because when you ask for just a dry white wine they will bring you their most expensive one..! So order exactly by name.

I've genuinely never written a Google review before, but I felt compelled to after tonight. The bouncer, a guy of average build with a beard and a flat cap, allowed my friend to enter but refused me, claiming I was "too drunk," even though I had barely drunk anything. He also refused to give a clear explanation for why he kicked me out of the queue. Additionally, he was rude and sexist toward some women who were behind me. His actions were the sole reason my friend and I didn't make it into the bar. I strongly advise against going to this place— the bouncers seem power-hungry and will deny entry based on their personal biases. Don't waste your time with this subpar establishment, especially considering the £10 entry fee, which I've heard is way overpriced.

I celebrated my birthday here and had a lovely experience. Even though it was super busy we were treated with such care from all staff. The band and food were amazing too. Everything was just perfect, I can’t find a single fault. Special shoutout to the manager on 11/12 (sorry we didn’t catch your name) but we greatly appreciated your attentiveness and care!

Had such a lovely time tonight! We had the Playroom booked, lots of drunken bad singing and literally every single bar staff was amazing, especially Piper who basically served us all evening. She's lovely, very tolerant (especially with our bad bar singing), quick with service and just such a vibe to talk to and chill with. Same with Abby as well, very lovely girl. Nice vibes, good food and great ambience overall :)

Bland, slow and highly priced. This was disappointing to say the least. This place sets its self up to be America style, but lacks anything you’d receive in an American restaurant. To not even be an asked how I’d like my burger cooked is a poor reflection, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. This wasn’t isolated to our table, all patrons. Plus the heating was all over the shop.

The employees seem to be quite dismissive of people of other ethnic groups which is a shame. Less respect for people who are not from their own culture and they make it pretty obvious. The food however was nice. For me, the customer service is as important as the food hence given it a 2* and not happy how they treated me.

Tha staff were absolutely incredible I was here on my own as a business customer ahead of clients tomorrow and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming in particular Isaac and Irij who were so good all night. Definitely worth a visit for those two alone and their service is the best I have seen in the country full stop. Which is big credit as my region stretches from Aberdeen to Exeter. If I could give more than 5* I would. THE BEST!

First time at Blues Camden, and it certainly won’t be the last. From the second we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive. Easy quick service at the bar whilst we waited for our table to be ready, and then they came to find us to take us to the table not long after. At the table we were looked after by Victoria and Mattie. Both girls were excellent and attentive throughout. My guest and I consider ourselves industry professionals at this point and we have to say their service made the whole experience that one bit better. I believe this may have been Mattie’s first or second shift, and she was excellent. Asking us about our thought on dishes and drinks so she could understand them to further assist future guests. Thank you Blues Kitchen Camden. See you again very soon!

Took a train ride across from Norwich to Camden to visit the market and the comedy club. After walking around the area we found the blues kitchen as it was close to the club. It was about 5.30 and it was already very busy but they fitted all nine of us in. We had a lovely meal with drinks in a lively friendly atmosphere. There was even a live band. The service was swift, friendly and the food was of a high standard. You will not be disappointed 🙌

Wow. We got served by james tonight and he was amazing. He was so attentive to our needs and was such a lovely person. Honestly would not have been the same night without him. Would definitely be returning to blues kitchen and asking for james.

Good food and reasonably priced..Nice looking pub..🍻 only thing is they add a 12.5 % tip getting more like America...let the customer decide how much to tip..

Service is really poor, went to the bar to order a drink and was there 15mins with no one else ordering and they were just sat behind the bar chatting. Ordered a gin and tonic, no gin and flat tonic. Nice.

Great night out. The brisket dish for two was divine.

Super! Do you like good music and good beer? This is the place! A very enigmatic place with its super cool old English decor! Good cocktails and I recommend if you plan to eat here make a reservation as it fills up very quickly! Live music almost every day!!!! ❤️❤️🍺

I am going to leave an honest review here. I went to this place a couple days ago the place is great I loved being there and the service was great... The only part that got was the food I got the feast for 2 on the shortrib and their was some parts that was juciy and some parts that was really dry other then that the rest of the food was amazing that is the only reason for this visit I am giving it a 4 star instead of a 5. I hope on my next visit The food is not as dry and Ill take 4 and turn it into a 5 star review

I came here for a birthday party and got the buffalo wings with blue cheese dip which were spectacular (especially the dip)! I also got the beef burger and chips- burger was mediocre and chips were decent but definitely crispy. My drink of choice was the Sober Paloma which was pretty good. The atmosphere was overall lively on the Friday evening (came near Halloween) and the waitresses are attentive/ easy to chat to! We were told there would be a live DJ at 8pm which never got started till closer to 9. We were also expecting a live music performance that was advertised online to be at around 9 which didn't happen either! The star knocked off for service was when I went outside to chat to friends who were having a smoke, I wasn't let back in by the bouncers at the door because they claimed I would have a stamp on my hand! I went through and stood in the doorway multiple times and no one had given me a stamp even though I was clearly coming from inside! My friends had booked a table since the early evening and if you asked any of the waiters or checked security cameras we had clearly been inside for hours but the bouncers still exclaimed I had not been in the premise that evening.

u cannot get service. no one seems to be in charge, just a bunch of wide-eyed teenagers rinsing glasses while 30ppl wait to get a drink. really strange, as someone who worked bar staff for 10yrs, i dont mind waiting 10mins for a drink, but 30mins? nah it was really really bad. felt like the barstaff had checked out. other than tht, pretty solid atmosphere. love the place but barstaff is horrendous.

We went to this place because it looked nice and lively from the outside. Upon entering it maintained that ambiance which was a pleasant experience. What lured me was the menu, as I was looking for good bar food/bbq. This was authentically really reminding me of American Food, I ordered the sirloin steak. The service was really prompt, friendly and welcoming. Would come back again if I am in the Camden area.

Would recommend the playroom upstairs for private events. Shout out to kacper for hosting us and making it an incredible event

I went on a Sunday night, put my name on the musicians list and played in the Sunday blues jam. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food, just had a couple of beers bought at the bar. I had a great time playing with some very competent musicians. Definitely going back on Sunday.

The service was amazing- really friendly and fun! However, the food was terrible. I ordered the chicken sandwich and upon first bite could immediately tell that the oil used to fry the chicken was old. It had a bitter disgusting taste and resulted in an upset stomach for hours- even when I had only taken a bite of the fried chicken. Would not dine here again, but otherwise would go for drinks.

We had a great time! The servers were very nice, helpful and responsive. The decor is incredible, we immersed ourselves in the atmosphere of Camden and the dishes were very good, we enjoyed ourselves for not very expensive! I recommend!

We bought a ticket to see the concert that day and when we arrived around 9 it was very full. Our mistake, we didn't know we should have reserved a table. We couldn't have dinner, they put us on a waiting list and we had to go out to dinner and then come back. By the time we returned we were having a drink at the other end of the place because there were so many people packed together that it was impossible to enjoy the live music. A disappointment the experience.

As a Blues Kitchen fan and keyring holder, I was really looking forward to a casual pre-show stop with friends at the Camden location. To be considerate of other diners, I didn’t make a reservation since we’d only be there for drinks and a light bite. I even called ahead to check that we’d be fine without a table booking before 9pm when live music started and was reassured it wouldn’t be an issue. Upon arrival, I checked with the staff that my keyring discount would apply, but I was told that the keyring only worked with a “full dinner with a main” and required a reservation. This was confusing and disappointing, especially since I’d purposefully skipped booking to leave tables for full dinner guests. To add to the frustration, my keyring is apparently an older version without any indication of this new “in-restaurant” requirement, and with no terms or conditions printed on it, there was no way I’d have known. Instead of recognising that I’ve likely been a long-term customer, the staff refused the discount without empathy or flexibility. Even after asking to speak with a manager, we were simply told that our keyring wasn’t valid, and they didn’t offer an updated one either. The lack of name tags didn’t help, as it’s impossible to mention who was involved (seems convenient). The whole idea of stopping at The Blues Kitchen was for us to enjoy some great discount, so in the end, especially after such appalling service, we decided not to stay. I also want to mention that I emailed the only contact I found (booking enquiries) before posting this publicly, wanting to give the team a chance to respond – but it’s been over five days, and I haven’t heard back. Sadly, this lack of response and customer care has made the experience all the more disappointing.

I cannot rate The Blues Kitchen highly enough, honestly one of the best experiences we've ever had in London. The cocktails where perfect, the food fresh and delicious and the service simply incredible. We where so impressed that this will become a regular visit for us whenever we visit London in the future with family and friends.

Security was really nice and so were the servers at the bar. Overall an amazing vibe inside with great music on most nights, the only issue is that because it’s so good the space does get quite crowded but nothing uncommon for london. Overall if you’re looking for a nice meal with good music or a good deal on a drink then this is the place to go

Genuinely the best experience and service I think I've ever had at a restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect, the food and drink fantastic and the service was just so brilliant. We were there celebrating a birthday and they made it feel so special. Thank you.

Doesn’t specify anywhere you don’t need a ticket if you have a booking and I bought a ticket, the manager refused to refund me and told me to contact dice who has told me to contact the event organisers…so ridiculous to take extra money from customers like this

Extremely pricey, didn't check tickets (why did I pay for them?!) and the show didn't start on time, in fact it was a good hour and half late. Horrible

This is a really beautiful building and decor like something out of The Temple of Doom (in a good way). The beers are a bit mediocre (standard mass produced brewery types) which is a shame but manageable. The chicken wings and bourbon/whisky selection were very good. We were too early to enjoy live music but it looked like it would work nicely. The only downside (which is a shame as it would put me off outright recommending it) was the service. While the barman that served me was very attentive we'd take a small 2 person bar table. About 30 mins in a waitress came and told us the table was reserved so we'd need to move to stand at the bar (mid eating wings). I said how long did we have and they said they were already here. I said we'd finish our drinks (half left) and we would leave. We then kept being harassed by further staff to leave the table (bear in mind many booths were completely empty) when eventually I directly said: the table did not say it was reserved, we had spent a good amount of money at it since and would not be leaving the table until we finished our drinks: at which point they left us alone... But such a sad and unnecessary end to what could have been a flawless review.

Enjoyed my night out but was shocked when bartender was trying to charge me double for my drinks which I found extremely expensive anyway. If I didn't check before tapping my card I wouldn't be non the wiser. So be aware of this when you go to the bar.

Food is amazing and the waiters are very friendly. The interior is also very nice decorated. The prices are also amazing. Meals are only £10! Menu could be slightly more clear about customisation of food.

If you want to get bottomless wings for £12 don't go here as they advertise it in all the branches and don't mention that the deal, EXPIRED two weeks ago.

I came with a friend, first time for both of us, beautiful place, so cosy, i had a pineapple juice and my friend had a burger for late lunch, we will be back also for the live music in the evening as we are music lovers, lovely helpful staff too.

I wanted to congratulate Jim who was really nice to me yesterday. I was about to leave the place because it was fully booked and the girl with the jumper who greeted me at the entrance was not very nice. I waited for over an hour and a half without hearing if a table had become available. I was leaving and would have left a bad review about it. But Jim turned my evening around, thank you again for your welcome, professionalism, empathy and kindness.

An iconic venue for live music in London. The programmers care about bringing world music talent. I have had some of the most memorable concerts of my life. Some others have been quite average, but hey, that's the risk of discovering new sounds.

We had a great evening here - beautiful decor and buzzy atmosphere, great music, superb food and warm, friendly service. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.

Great venue but unfortunately having booked a tab for 2 in advanced ended up on a tiny table next to the bar with lots of people crowded round and knocking into us which spoiled the meal a bit. Food and service was fantastic

We visited on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. Great atmosphere, fantastic service and the food was amazing! I had probably the best vegetarian curry I've ever had! The only thing I'd say if you're going is that it was VERY loud. Granted it was a Saturday afternoon (about 4pm) but even so it was incredibly loud - like so loud you could barely hear yourself think!. My son (who has autism) needed his earphones on (and I could have done with a pair myself!). The service was great and, as I said, the food was delicious, even bringing an allergy chart for my wife (who's gluten intolerant).

Three of the menu choices we wanted were not available after ordering which was a shame but the alternatives we did get were ok. Thought the live band was meant to be on from 9pm but in reality this was after 1130pm.

I visited here one afternoon after a busy day exploring London. Service was very prompt and friendly with a great atmosphere. The venue offers a great variety of drinks and menu choices. Will definitely visit again for the live music!

Elliot was our server and he was fabulous. Friendly, attentive and prompt. It was a pleasure to be looked after by him. Food was great and the artichoke dip is to die for.

It is a beautifully designed place with different customers day and night. The decor inside is very cool and different. However, it was a bad start and the issue was later resolved by the chef.

The food was amazing and I cannot fault it at all! The service however was awful. Myself and my partner came to blues kitchen at around 5:00 today 10/10/24 for dinner and the service was horrendous, we’re both managers in hospitality at reputable businesses in York and if my staff acted the way the staff here did they wouldn’t have a job! We were told that booth seats were fully booked however 4 remained empty throughout the entirety of our meal. The lady was polite when taking our order, however the food was quicker to arrive than the drinks as there was only one person on the bar, despite 4+ staff members constantly standing by the heat lamps doing nothing! Once our meals arrived we were not checked on at all despite making eye contact with staff members and sitting directly next to the host stand. Additionally when asking for the bill I looked at a girl who was wearing sunglasses on her head (in October…) and she walked away. I ended up having to ask whoever was at the host stand!! This is such a shame as the venue and the food is amazing it’s just a let down that the staff are rude, untrained, and unprofessional! I would understand if it was busy but it was not busy at all! When we were given our bill it was placed face down on the table and a card machine was forced in-front of us with the total, we were taken aback and just tapped our card and when we were finally able to look at our bill there was a 12.5% service charge which I found ridiculous considering we didn’t receive any service at all!! The waitress clearly put it face down to hide the fact that there was a charge, there was no “does the bill look all okay?” She just put it down (not in a check book) and put the card machine on the table I honestly cannot believe it! I loved the food at Blues Kitchen but due to the service I would not return and would not recvomend it!

Nice bar, but slowest service I’ve ever come across in London, be prepared to wait upwards of 30 minutes for a drink even on a week night. Really nice security surprisingly tho.

THE BEST! Amazing food as always, super friendly and funny team. We chose this place for a reunion amongst friends and ended up making more. We usually go to the Brixton branch but this time we decided to come to Camden and we’re were very pleasantly surprised. My group and myself would like to extend a special thank you to Kenzie, Vicki, Giada, Ridwan, Adriel, Neila who served us and gifted us an amazing evening. Thank you everyone we will be back

Absolutely loved this place! Wow. It was my friends birthday so they booked us a booth for 10 people. We had the best server ever, I believe she was from South Africa but can’t be sure. I just think I recognised the accent and she had beautiful braids - I wish I got her name. We dined Sat 05/10/2024 at 6:30-9pm ish The cocktails were AMAZING The food was so so good 🤤 Our server was so friendly, funny and attentive. She just felt like someone we knew or a friend 😍 she was amazing. She made our friends birthday very special and it’s the first time he’s properly celebrated his birthday. Thank you so much!

Great lunch. We went bottomless and the drinks were flowing. The staff kept an eye on our glasses and were over checking if we needed a top up quickly. Food was delicious Restaurant was great and I’m sure would be a fab venue in the evenings when the music is on. Thoroughly recommend and will go back.

Just a terrible all round experience. There is no issue regarding to mood inside but the staff is amongst the most unprofessional and biased i have ever seen. NEVER COME HERE. I was kicked out without an explanation for “vaping” whereas most of the women here vape on a constant basis. The bouncer at the queue just said good night and expected me to jog off after paying £8 to get in to this really average club. I’ll say it again NEVER COME HERE.

Holy freakin chicken wing heaven!! The Szechuan wings were crispy and flavourful. The mac and cheese, while not traditional is quite good as weak. Friendly vibes from the moment I walked in. Great atmosphere with subdued lighting and attractive decor. Hits all the marks, I’ll be back for sure!

We visited the Blues Kitchen in Camden on Saturday evening, it’s a nice place, seating area was very crammed not easy to navigate especially with drinks in hand. The staff were lovely and extremely friendly. When I booked the table I was told we could only have it for an hour and 15minutes, which suited perfectly as we were heading to a show at 8, and needed to leave the restaurant at 7.15. Unfortunately our table wasn’t ready at 6, and we had to wait until 6.20 to be seated which put us under pressure, so the whole dining experience was very rushed.

Very welcoming staff, delicious food. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stay here again.

I know burgers are a safe place, but please go for the main plates, they are delicious. The show was awesome and so was the food. Make sure to book in advance, as it was really crowded even in Monday.
