The Blue Peter Stonehouse in Derby

Never again I had a carvery with a big blood vessel running thru the center of my beef plus it was chewy and undercooked I complained and attitude was who cares in my opinion they couldn't care less would not reccomend

I ordered for delivery. I won't do it again. The beef had so much fat in it. I was not impressed with the veg either, cauliflower cheese squashed into the mashed potato, red cabbage covering most of the veg and roast potatoes. Over half the meals went in the bin

1st time here, had been recommended by a few friends, a nice enough looking place from the outside Art-deco design which is nice to see these days. The staff are pleasant. We both had a regular carvery, the portion of meat we got was good as was the selection of veggies the Yorkshire pudding was small but nice, will definitely come again to try other food & definitely for a breakfast which looks like a bargain to me.

The Team were great and did a great job assisting with a Birthday Cake. The food was also to a good standard. Thank you.

Not impressed was told we had to reserve a table and was told to leave the table we had sat at bearing in mind the place was not busy. Shoved in a corner getting the eye of the lady that seated us. A good note the food was very good it was the customer service or lack of it that put me off the place

Visited as part of a function, overall okay but nothing special! Didn’t try the food but did look to be a good range of options plenty of onsite parking

We enjoying coming in either it be for food which is always top nosh! Or it be we nip in for a cheeky one! Both of them always go above and beyond for us, especially making a special fuss over our little ones! Blue Peter wouldn’t be the same without these two! Oh and mark 😃

Food was hot and fresh, visited here after recommended by a friend, usually we go to a different venue but in future will be coming here instead. The staff were polite and helpful .

Just been to get a takeaway veg carvery for me and the wife And to be perfectly honest we were wholly disappointed It cost us £13 for the two dinners, this is the second time that This has happened, Never Again

I had the Mac and cheese and it is one of the best I have had. My dad has the gammon sandwich and I said it was great as well. Very friendly staff and a lovely place

I had food today and the food was beautiful and the lady call Jacqueline that served me was lovely and the two lady on the floor call jenny and Sophie and Pleasant and nice

Great service nice food and a relaxing place to enjoy a meal and a pint, what more could you ask for the carvery is a must especially for those of us who love a roast meal. Morgan the head chef and Aled gave us the sort of attention most restaurants only give to high profile guests keep up the good work guys.

Lunch time visit ..fish,chips & mushy peas .very nicely presented .sorry no photo of that .. Then the berry sundae Hubby had rocky road sundae Absolutely delicious

Ham and pineapple pizza made up from left over carvery gammon. Also gammon egg and chips the gammon was from the carvery too and not proper cuts. Carvery all dry and lack of meat. Burgers is not proper burger it's cheap BBQ burgers from the local butchers. Carry on deleting my post 😅

Landlord is a miserable miser, no kids in after 8pm and close at 9pm. Never been a family pub. Never again!

Came to the blue Peter for a bite to eat I had a horse and beef radish sandwich with roast potatoes which was lovely and very reasonable priced! the lady who served me was named Sophie and she was very welcoming and polite I will definitely be back.

Brilliant food and service, despite being covered in mud from download we were still let in. Sophie and Sharon were awesome.

We've been coming in here every year for years when the local Download festival is on. Great breakfast that sets us up for the day! This year we've tried the carvary!! Amazing, good quality meat and huge selection of vegetables. The staff, especially Sophie and Sharon, couldn't help us enough, bearing in mind we were covered in mud! They were so nice!! We'll be back next year!!!

Staff were friendly and attentive. Beer and cider were nice and cold. It looks like this may become our new local :) Reasonably priced

As always at a Stonehouse Pizza place we had great value for money, along with a delicious carvery for one and pizza for one... Atmosphere was great. Enjoyed a very relaxing lunch. Staff very pleasant and interacted well.. Stonehouse Pizza is always a favourite of ours Two members of staff were particularly helpful - Amber & Jackie.. Many thanks to you both.

Great food, great service, will say only problem was gravy was very clumpy but chef who was cutting the meat was very nice and friendly l, even brought fresh roast potatoes out and they was so good, hard on the outside very crispy and so soft and fluffy on the inside l, the chefs name was jose

Used to absolutely love this pub now the owner is a right miserable person I don't like him won't go there anymore they don't smile or make you feel welcome like it used to be shame really because all the bar staff are absolutely wonderful people

We took our 90yr old mum here for a Sunday carvery. She scoffed the lot 😄 Can't blame her tho, the food was excellent, the meat was so tender it just melted in your mouth. Very reasonably priced and great quality and quantity....and on that bombshell, we will definitely be going back 😉

Food was terrible 😕 hardly anyone in the place and staff more concerned about chasing teenagers out thr toilets than serving at the bar

I went with my friend at weekend. Food quality is good. Not over cooked. Drinks are reasonably priced. Clean sitting area.

I took two guests to the pub for lunch , they were very pleased with the service they received. The lady was pleased how her elderly father enjoyed his visit. The quality of the carvery was good, an experience worth repeating. The carpark is big enough for most occasions, this is reassuring when you are booking a meal.

I have been going to this pub for Sunday carvery for probably 15 years. We went a couple of weeks ago and the food was excellent as always however the staff are rude and abrupt. We booked a table and were seated right next to a cold draughty door. The place was pretty much empty and we asked to move to another table but apparently “it wasn’t possible because the pub was fully booked”. We ate and left within 45 minutes in which time every table around us was free. A bit of courtesy and understanding would be better next time.

Went for breakfast on Saturday morning and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the sour faced Rottweiler behind the breakfast bar.

Had a carvery it was really cheap and was plenty feet for the price nice meal well worth it

Very good service. Only comes here when am in Derby.

Very very disappointed. Taking out a disability group of over 30 people and have done multiple times. Hearing one of the staff saying "You put all the bloody staff on in the morning and there's F all staff tonight" NOT GOOD!! People with diabetes going hungry so carvery paying people sharing their food. Carvery assistant had to go into the back kitchen for someone to explain what a meat free carvery was!! ( Poor man how embarrassing for him) We have at least 3 of these events a year... I don't think we will be going back again it was absolutely dreadful and they all still had to pay.

Such a great meal, everything was hot and plentiful. Can't wait to go back, but will be next year now as we live in Surrey.

Impromptu visit with my partner whilst passing through. We planned to just have a drink but saw that the pizza deal was on so thought we'd share one with a few chips. Cooked to perfection, very tasty and was presented to us by the chef who cooked it as well. We have eaten here a handful of times over the past 13 years and have never been disappointed. Clientele tend to be more of the "local tradesmen lads" type so can be a bit loud and brash, but were no bother at all.

I always go to Blue Peter for breakfast their breakfast is very good taste and affordable at eat as much as you can 👌👌

Went for Christmas dinner today, 3 courses £14-29. Excellent service, and food. The choice on menu was excellent too. Nice clean place, only fault I could find was the hand dryers didn't work in the ladies toilets, nor the mens I believe.

Fantastic carvery....one if the best I have ever had. Choice of 4 meats, numerous veg, yorkshire pudding, roast and mashed potatoes and loads of gravy. Very good price and reasonable for drinks too .....lovely time spent with my family while visiting UK .....highly recommend 😍
