We've eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. It's very good value for money. The food comes out very quickly and the service is friendly and welcoming.

Called in for an early tea on Halloween, bar staff are friendly and cheery and we had a drink and ordered food. 40 minutes later the food arrived although the pub was very quiet. 2 burgers… nearly warm, plates cold, burgers dry and very over cooked and appeared to be left over from lunch! Chips barely warm and onion rings tasted like the fat in the fryer needs changing. We stayed for a couple of hours and no one cleared our table or asked us how our meal was, we left with dirty tables all around. We would so like to support our local but they need to make some effort, really reallly disappointing

The food a d service was great staff are always happy to greet you, however tables are often dirty which is the only thing that affected are meal

My partner and I ate here tonight and I must say we both really enjoyed our meal. Chicken Tika Curry was good but the sirloin steak i had was the best i have had apart from what i have cooked myself. Would definitely recommend cooked rare and perfect.

Service was quick and everything cooked correctly and staff were polite. Had 8oz Sirlion with tandoori chicken skewer Double Old Faithful Classic Cheese Burger Then 2 Party Times In and and in 1hr 15 minutes

The best local to go to for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always a great pint too 😊

Had a lovely experience down the local after a grueller in the office today. On arrival the oak wasn't busy which was a brucey bonus and we picked table 4, a cracker in the corner with real comfy chairs. Got a new menu on the go which was awesome and I went with the mega mixed gril, l thought I would give that one a bash. Presentation was spot on, 2 real big fat juicy sausages and the steak was cooked to perfection 👌 Had the euros on, on the TV screens which was good, place could do with a lick of paint though but other than that canna fault the local, top beer at affordable prices way to go oak and acorn baby!

Meet up with family, meals were good and well worth it, beer choice also good

Bad pints! ....Served us 2 pints of peroni , comment during serving was "oooh we don't pour this pint much".... we sit down my mate says it tastes bad , i smell it says it smells bad.... report back to bar. Bar staff pour a bit and smell/taste .... "oh yeah tastes off, we've had people all night saying its off"....... don't serve us a bad pint!

The food in Oak and Acorn is bursting with flavours, today i had the Curry House Feast and it was all equal in flavour. The curry sauce was creamy and the chicken wasnt chewy but it was just right, the chicken skewer was amazing drizzled in yoghurt which made it taste amazing! I would definitely come here again.

Food was very good, I have nothing that I can think you could improve. The steak I had was Cooked perfectly! Job well done 👏🏻

I was serve by Chloe who was very polite and accommodating, we didn't wait long for the food and the food was delicious, they came to check everything was OK with the meal and asked if there was anything else we needed so GREAT customer service! Will definitely be recommending to family and friends and will most definitely be returning! Thank you Oak & Acorn for a pleasurable evening.

It was a 10th birthday celebration. The staff were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We’ll definitely be returning

Went for a meal today, we opted for the more expensive sirloin steak as it was a special occasion, to be honest it was nothing to write home about, it was a good job we had a voucher for 33% off mains as the steak was certainly not worth the full asking price, seemed like a very cheap cut of meat, chewy and tough, also it was overcooked and not medium rare as we had ordered. After taking our order and paying, about 10 mins later the waitress came over and said that unfortunately they did not have enough garlic prawns for the two orders, so they offered a substitute for a portion of breaded scampi, this we agreed to however, this was not very tasty, it was chewy and appeared to also have been overcooked. When the meals came the staff member who served us said she had taken one look at the size of the portion of sweet potato fries that the kitchen had served up and was not happy with it, so had asked them to cook up some more which were on there way. Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to pass on my comments to the staff as no one came to ask us how the meal was, and there was no staff behind the bar when we left. Having been before and enjoyed the ribeye steaks, today was very dissapointing, maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen but they were not busy with only a handfull of customers, so no real excuse for the lack of quality on this occasion. I dont think we will be going back again.

Gutted to be typing but please avoid Xmas day meals here at all costs! So let down, 10 of us who live nearby, it was our first Xmas Dinner out and how awful. And I paid £500+ for the experience. Greeted by a nice chap with a clip board saying we are fully booked...only for me to confirm I was a booking of 10. Once eventually seated...right next to people out having a lunchtime drink, which I had no issue, apart from we couldn't get a drink for 23mins. Starters came out wrong, not to our pre-booked options. Then the dinner which was shocking..basically all frozen veg and a Bernard Matthews turkey roll looked fresher!10 of us had to share 2 gravy jugs and was told no more was made. 9 meals came straight out, and the last meal came 12 mins after the others. Puddings they got wrong, 3 apple pie and custard were STONE cold, the one that came 5 mins late was scorching hot. No special xmas service from the staff, no music nothing. Never ever again will I go to this pub and I live 2 minutes away.

It’s your bog standard pub grub, not great, not terrible. Very mehhh.

Jack and Lauren were very attentive and I couldn’t fault them.

The staff at the oak and acorn are fab especially Sally one of the managers I believe and kayla. They were great help even though there was a mix up with our pre-booked meal. They issued us an apology with a free drink to make up for it.

We booked our table beforehand. We arrived slightly early at 12:20 and was given our table. We ordered our food and drink at the bar. It took 50 minutes for the food to arrive. We had already ordered our dessert at the same time as the main. When we had finished our main, it took 20 minutes for the dessert to arrive. There wan't that many people eating that day apart from a party of about 8. There was only 1 young chef and didn't appear to be any table waiters.

We came for a here yesterday evening for a meal I had steak and chicken combo sizzler. It was sizzling just how i like it. I had the steak cooked medium to well as I always do. The steak was cooked perfect for me and the peppercorn sauce is always very good. The chip's was lovely. Thank you very much to the chef bradie. Was perfect for me.

Standard sizzling pub. Unfussy, pub grub. Nice.

Food was lovely but the service was very slow, there was hardly anyone in the pub but it still look about 40 minutes for the food to arrive at the table

Excellent food and service. Warm welcome and comfortable atmosphere. The food is very reasonably priced and is made up of a good selection of pub classics and other dishes. I personally had the mixed grill and can attest to the excellemt quality of the meat, fluffy chips, and tasty sauce. There is also a good selection of drinks available, serving a selection of ales, lagers, gins, and more. Definitely recommended for couples, familys, or even a solo bite

Nice place but stops there. Didn’t have my first choice meal or second choice 3rd choice you had you said on arrival at the table no greenery on it and no coleslaw. My mums meal was ok but you forgot to put the pea on it. My partner had the spiced up salman with was NOT spiced up and no veg. NOT A GREAT TIME

Went for dinner, very dark, even with lights on. Very empty, about 10 people in. No one serving at the bar, even with 4 people waiting. Had to shout. Food seemed to take forever and wasn't impressed. Toilets, sinks dirty. Finger prints everywhere on crome. Smelt damp. Couldn't wait to leave.

Just had a beautiful steak cooked to perfection - nothing left on plate ! Bar staff fall over themselves to serve you. Excellent. Another excellent steak and service A1 - Thankyou. The steaks are excellent and the other food on the menu is properly cooked to. As usual the bar staff are excellent without exception. Brilliant

Very disappointed 3 adults & 2 children 4&5 years old. Online said subscribe to newsletters & sent us £5 off voucher. We had 3 adult meals & 2 kids meals. Supposedly kids meals were £ 1 each. They rejected the £5 voucher. Then charged full price for kids meals. £29.99 should have been £21 even without voucher. Should be ashamed Sizzling pub chain. Misleading Menus & very average food. I Responded asap to contact manager Sally. Sent her Text to contact me at her convenience. No Reply 3 days!.

Been frequenting this establishment a few times over the last few weeks Must say the friendliness of the staff is second to non , always polite and welcoming . I had a very pleasant trip to the bar and I ordered a drink and it was very very yummy , I recommend becoming friends with Tommy Hes a very jolly guy, the nachos are a 10/10 , Tommy is a legend

Had a good meal at this place. Incredible environment and good vibes all around, Harry was our server for the time we were there and did a great job at that, answered all our enquires about the menu. Would defo recommend this place to anyone.

Avoid food always bad literally had meals and sent differ parts back and this has happened a few times They have replied to this but I can’t reply to it, You have already sorted a voucher out we came back and it was the same as the time before so not sure what to say I will say the manager is friendly and very polite

They staff were very accommodating as we were a group of 12 .. what I will say is things like clearing half the table after the main course was not great sitting with dirty plates and when they served puddings some for spilt as they carried out to the table but they never offered to replace it otherwise it woukd have been 4 ... it was a pleasant surprise though how much we enjoyed it .. thanks

Great local for a cheeky couple pints, might just be the most important building in England maybe Staff are all dedicated, once saw Tommy do a backflip across the bar to serve quicker All the bartenders (Tommy, Harry, Alicia, Abi, Lauren) are all on it with the regulars, and liam will cook you up a bangin meal if you ask nicely Good selection of food and drinks, plenty of stuff on in the week too like Bingo night and Pub Quizzes, reckon the Oak pub quiz hosted by Tommy would make a quality show on Itv 2 Overall, what you want from a local really

Highly recommend this pub, bar staff and service staff very friendly yet professional, great atmosphere and the chef cooked the food perfectly which included a healthier dish which is great they can cater for individuals dietary needs, overall great experience.

The pub is lovely with friendly staff, Tommy always makes you feel welcome, the food is really good and the entertainment nights are always fun, Bingo has recently started on Thursdays and is great! quiz nights on Wednesdays are fun, theres always a good atmosphere and the staff remember you which shows they care about their customers 😊

I have been on multiple occasions, the most recent was yesterday. Everyone was lovely and the food was great. Tommy was happy to help as usual when asking for drinks at the bar. I've been there with an ABBA tribute going on too which was amazing. Overall great pub and will be back again!

Overall excellent experience on our visit. Excellent quality of food and drinks at very reasonable prices.

Came in for a quick meal, that happened to be at the time of their weekly quiz. Due to this our food took longer to be served. The bar staff were busy chatting to locals, and thus we ended up wsiting a while just to order a drink. The quiz sounded fun however, although I belive their entry price is a bit high.

Remember going to this place when I was a bit younger when my grandad was alive and I think it was a woman in charge at the time and every time I ordered something she purposely changed the order and she was always rude to my family too

Just been for my Xmas dinner with my elderly mum and words just cannot express how amazing everything was the food was delicious and plenty of it .the service was second to none everyone went out of there way to make sure everything was perfect . Came to the oak and acorn on Saturday 11th December 2022 with my family we have never been before, we came for the tea with santa. I must say from start to finish the organisation of this was amazing there was always something to do to keep the children entertained and not get restless. There were lots of different Christmas Characters that came out and interacted with the children this was really good, the kids got there food and really enjoyed evey mouthful santa came out had a good chat with each child then gave them all a present, the young lady who looked to be in control of all this did it with ease I do belive her name is Charlie she is definitely an amazing asset to your company my family and myself will definitely be returning thankyou
