Aston Court Hotel in Derby

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We traveled with a large group and sent all the information ahead of time. They argued that they did not receive the information, including our need for an accessible room. The claim that the hotel is accessible is laughable. The rooms were tiny and dirty. The bathrooms had mold. There were bugs and water damage in the common areas. There were dirty dishes all over the hallways. The layout of the rooms makes no sense. You use the lift but still have to use stairs to get to the rooms. We didn’t feel safe. The twin beds were not actual beds, but just box springs with sheets.

This hotel had MOLD, bed bugs, dirty bathrooms, and one of my travel companions had mentioned how they were able to open their door without a key card

The hotel rooms were dirty with hair, liquid stains on the walls, mold, and more. Some bathroom/room doors didn’t even lock. More importantly, this hotel WAS NOT wheelchair accessible as stated on the site, unless you would like to call a flimsy, portable ramp that needs to be held down as it is in use “accessible”. Even then our friend was not able to access her room and needed to be moved to a separate hotel that could actually meet her needs reasonably. As a reminder this is a GROUP trip and there should be no reason for one of us to be separated over something so preventable. We were very disappointed in this experience as we were all ready to have a safe and comfortable night, but unfortunately that just wasn’t the case.

Great location by the station. Convenient.

This was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. They admitted that multiple customers had complained for over two months about the falsely advertised free parking, yet they still hadn’t updated the information online. When I brought it up at checkout, the manager told me that if I had been misled about a product elsewhere, I wouldn’t return—essentially dismissing my concern. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. Stay away!

Disappointed to arrive only to find out parking is not free. Dispute being advertised as having free parking.. £8 for 24 hours so not cheap. Lovely staff on reception and a nice room. Room was extremely warm even after turning heating off and opening the window. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Good location for our needs and would stay again. Parking information just needs updating

Stayed for one night thankfully reception staff Sunday morning were very ignorant no customerservice at breakfast meat products on the server were cold no temps hash browns and the rest had been sat there since 8 am 3 hours and no food changed the woman in the breakfast area was rude and unhelpful such a shame as the night before the staff was loverly and welcoming won’t use this hotel again

Stayed overnight as we visited Pride Park for football match. Ideally situated opposite train station. Clean recently renovated rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities in room and biscuits too. Complimentary handsoap and shower gel. No food options were available on our visit. Great place for a cheap, central located stay in Derby.

Clean hotel, close to city center and fair prices

A very convenient hotel with free parking and close proximity to the centre of derby. It is not easy to find a hotel that's good value for money, but this hotel does just that. Most hotels want an arm and a leg. I would definitely stay again if I needed too and prices were still the same. Downside, it's very noisy with the traffic and bed wasn't brilliant.

Location was perfect for working in the centre. Rooms and hotel dated but great value.

Great hotel for the price. Nice clean newly refurbished rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great. Right outside the train station. I did hear the trains go past a few times during the night but unavoidable really being next to a train station in a busy city centre. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again.

Great location, just outside of the main railway station. Rooms were cleaned, and reception was very helpful and welcoming. They allow me to store luggage for a day. They have got iron and iron board for guest too.

Single room needs a bedside lamp. No-one on reception when I tried ti check put at 9:30 am Breakfast was excellent

Staff are so lovely, rooms are nice. Perfect for a night away.

Visiting the conference accommodation. The hotel itself is shut at the moment due to being used by the government. They provide everything we needed for the meeting.
