Excellent customer service. We stopped in during a brief stay and had Sunday Lunch. A beautiful Roast Beef dinner and a first for them; providing our dog his own. He woofed it down! As did we. A lovely atmosphere. Thank you for accommodating our request!

My partner and I had a long overdue date night and a catch up with our friends and 'pub family' at The Blue Boar tonight. We had a smashing meal, chicken melt, chicken goujons, sides etc and all made freshly with dairy free and gluten free options in mind. Big portions, not sure we could eat everything, but took it slowly, enjoying the ambience and each other's company, and cleared our plates! Thank you to Becky, our chef and landlady, and to Chloe, for looking after us so well. Much appreciated. Xx

Lunch was really delicious. Our niece from Australia had cod, chips and mushy peas. Portion was huge and looked delicious. My wife had lamb knuckle, which she said was the best pub meal she'd ever had. I had beef burger and chips which was also delicious. The girls on duty were very friendly, efficient and a pleasure to be with. Highly recommend anyone looking for great food, pleasant surroundings and good service to try the Blue Boar.

Came in with a few members of staff for a passing lunch. Spur of the moment decision so didn't book. We walked in via the open front door to see the pub lively with lunch time drinkers and people eating lunch. We ordered drinks and asked to see a menu. 6 of us ate from the main menu and after about 15 minutes our food arrived, home made and fresh. The waitress did a check on us to see if we needed anything and if the food was okay. Perfect! As we all had to get back to work we ate up, paid our bills and left. Will be returning for a relaxed evening meal in the future. Pub decor was nice and the outside patio area looked perfect for chilling on.

Fantastic, Local Village Pub. Home cooked food, made using fresh ingrediants. The interior is decorated to a modern high standard and as you walk in, the bar staff are waiting to serve you. We asked if we could see a Menu and order food of which was not a problem. We ordered the Chicken Burger and Ribs. We sat in the Garden on a Patio area which looked New and laid to a high standard. A few families having drinks and playing on the bouncy castle. About 15/20 minutes later our food arrived Fresh and Hot. The Staff were polite and asked if we needed any condiments or extra drinks. The first impressions were the food is clearly lovingly made by hand, rather than Heated up from Frozen like a lot of places very tasty and enjoyed every mouthfull. I'm no expert, but overall the staff were polite, welcoming and the food was spot on. Will 100% Return!

Rang on Saturday to book a table, could not get an answer on the phone. Left a message asking if I could book a table for easter Sunday. Left my name and phone number asking them to ring me back to confirm if a table was available. Never got a return call. Ended up unable to book elsewhere as expected a reply which never came. Very disappointing

We moved to Walsham Le Willows in August and have taken to eating in this pub at least once a month and never had a bad meal. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is always served in generous portions and tastes amazing. The best thing about it is that it's all local food, the fish is freshly caught (even the tartar sauce is homemade) the sausages come from the local butcher who we frequently buy meat from so we knew they'd taste good! The only thing about this place that isn't perfect is the desserts. The first time we visited they had crem brule on the menu and that was incredible my favourite dessert. And a delicious chocolate brownie. But since then they've changed their dessert menu and twice I've been a bit disappointed with their Eton mess and pear crumble which was a shame because they were presented beautifully, just not quite what I was expecting. The pear crumble was watery and the Eton mess didn't have the right ice cream to fruit ratio but the flavour was nice. But ultimately, not worth complaining about because everything else was just so amazing and it won't stop us from going back because we love it here

i have been on a number of occasions to try out the range of different specials menus they have to offer. all the menus have a wide range of choice for such a little village pub and the food is of top quality - clearly cooked from scratch! the portions are overly generous meaning we were left completely full! all the staff are very friendly and attentive and are very easy to talk to! the atmosphere is lovely and welcoming! we are looking forward to the warmer weather to make use of the large garden! definitely would recommend anyone to visit & cannot wait to return!

I visited the Blue Boar for the first time a few days ago, on October 7th. The service was friendly and efficient - we were asked if we wanted to sit in the main pub area or the restaurant, and our drinks were served straight away. We both ordered starters and mains, which were delicious, well presented and quick to arrive. I had the Mediterranean mushrooms which came with an amazing butter and herb sauce, and my boyfriend had the deep fried chicken with sweet chilli sauce, which was equally as tasty. We both ordered the duck for our mains which again, was delicious - the meat was extremely tender and everything was very well presented - a highlight of the dish being the parsnip mash, for me. Because of the generous portion sizes, we couldn’t manage a dessert each so shared the lemon tart. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, which was great value for money and far more than your generic pub food. I would highly recommend visiting and we’ll certainly be back!

An excellent venue for a business lunch. Good food, good wine, excellent beer and comfortable surroundings. Makes a nice change to have fine food in a pub environment and come away feeling you've had something really special, far higher that expected. Your waited on properly, looked after without leaving the table and constantly attended to (without interruption) leaving you to conduct easy confidential conversation which is the main objective of a working lunch. The Blue Boar will go on to win many accolades if it continues this high level of service and quality food. It's not a pub lunch the food is simply first class, to a level one would expect in a high boutique hotel where you would expect to pay three to four times the price.A venue where clients are made to feel special and valued. I can't praise the food high enough, it's at the right price; a quality menu leaving you more that satisfied. True value for money. Well done! Keep this up and we'll definitely be back time and time again.

The owner of this place does not have a clue about running a business which includes giving polite, courteous customer service because she has none of these skills! Off hand, flippant and down right rude are skills she is good at. The staff they employ are inexperienced, ignorant and lacking any customer skills also. Asked if they could serve a flat white coffee they responded, “never heard of it” and when we asked what beer they had the waitress said one in a bottle with a red label and one with a blue label. Unbelievable! Overpriced and the food is very mediocre, we cook better and tastier at home. Never go again and would never recommend. Tip for owner, go on a management course to help your inexperienced staff and while there learn some customer service skills.

Why anyone would choose to call a cafe Tickety Boo is beyond me but the food is good and you don't eat the name! Very strange and off-putting style where they take your money before you eat - which meant we didn't order any cake after our meal as we couldn't be bothered to queue and pay all over again. None of the diners I've seen in here look like the type that would run off without paying! Despite this the food really was excellent and I will be back for more.

Our family joined my wife and I to celebrate her birthday at "The Kitchen" on Sunday. The chef offered a choice of three roasts bookable in advance. The food was well presented and delicious, and the waiters were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. This venture is in its infancy and the bar like surroundings could be improved. Good food at good prices. Book in advance as the opening hours are limited.
