The Blue Bell in Conwy

All the yes to this little gem. It is so hard to find somehwere to eat on a vegan diet. Making a menu just seems to be an after thought for most places. We were so happy to find a place we could eat when visiting Conwy castle this weekend. Staff were super friendly, it was low lit and the music wasn't loud. It was a really nice vibe and the food was so good.

Fantastic atmosphere with all dressed in medievil wear . Even though the torchlight parade was cancelled due to the weather everyone had a good time .

A pleasant cosy pub with vegetarian food.

Wouldn't bother with this place, use to drink there years ago manager refused custom because of the way we're "dress and presented" (jeans , jumper and a body warmer) spoke to like absolute dirt hadn't even bought a drink and been judged was told if we didn't leave there and then we would be put on pub watch, The bank, The Erskine and The Albion all let us in and was happy to serve us will never go back here again

Had a band on on a Friday night which were excellent! Got very busy and the crowd loved it! Very enjoyable night with a large selection of drinks and very reasonably priced, will definitely go again when we next visit!

Nice food, limited choice but delicious vegan burgers, yum yum yum! Very dark in the pub, didn't like some of the other sweary customers in there!

Called in after visiting Conwy town and quay. Needed to be inside to eat as lots of sea gulls about 🤣Great vegan food even though we're not. Had a Freebird burger and fries, really filling and delicious. My wife chose nachos so I swapped some chips. Spoke to the lady chef afterwards to thank her. Sounds like a really fun idea and I'm glad they're doing well. I would think it's buzzing in there at night too.

We had some food and a drink at this lovely local pub, great friendly service from the barman and very quick service from the chef. It's a vegan only menu and it all sounded fantastic, we had a couple of burgers with chips which were both very nice indeed, we shall be back

Visited the Blue Bell a couple of weeks ago for my sister's birthday. There were six of us - my sister is vegetarian and the rest of us have no particular dietary requirements. All of us really enjoyed the food - a mixture of different burgers and I had the chilli and nachos. I was totally stuffed full by the end and the chilli was delicious! We all had food and a couple of drinks and even had some extras (like the homemade coleslaw which was really tasty!) and the total bill was very reasonable. A dog-friendly, people-friendly, quirky place with special nights like Open Mic night - a fab little place with a fully vegan menu and loads of room in the beer garden!! The traditional ale on draught comes recommended too.

We visited here last year on our trip to Conwy and I was really looking forward to returning again. Visited on a Thursday afternoon and managed to get a table straight away, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service was really speedy and the burgers were amazing. We are vegetarian rather than but it really is great to find places that do vegan food instead of the usual limited choices, when we visited last year even my meat eating parents were impressed so definitely recommend even if you aren’t vegetarian/vegan. If we lived closer we would be regulars.

Banging vegan burgers. I’m not even vegan anymore but try to be conscious… this place makes that very easy. Banging burgers, nice beer, happy vibes. Will be back 100%, big up guys. 👍

The hamburgers were good especially the chicken one. They are dog friendly so we were able to sit inside( very rare) with our well behaved dog. Thank you for being dog friendly!

Great food although more information about how hot the nachos would be would have been nice, my wife was only just able to tolerate them.

Stopped by for a beer and stayed for a few. Nice place, friendly staff and the courtyard is great for catching the sun and relaxing. Live music at the weekend.

Gorgeous food. You wouldn't think it was vegan. Best burger I've ever had! I had the squeeze burger with fake bacon and cheese. Very tasty.

What can I say, I’m far from a vegan but wooooow the vegan burger is amazing you wouldn’t even know it was vegan. I would recommend anyone to give it a try. Staff are friendly and polite.

Nice pub right on one of the main streets in the heart on Conway . Service was great and a nice beer selection to choose from . Really quiet on the afternoon that we visited but that suited just fine on this particular occasion. They have a large beer garden in the back with plenty of umbrellas but we chose the cozy interior for this visit.

Open mic Sunday. Great atmosphere and a lovely mix of ages and people. Why stay at home when this is going on? Get out and enjoy it while you can.

Myself and my partner we're travelling home and so I ordered takeaway burgers for the road. Unfortunately we got stuck in a horrific traffic jam for over 2 hours and we're delayed in collecting out order. The lady phoned twice to reassure us that they were going to keep it as warm as possible and it would still be here for us. When I turned up to collect our food and pay for it two and a half hours later the lady behind the bar insisted that it was on the house, and that the manger said we could just have them. It really made our evening and we will definitely be visiting again, in person next time. Thank you so much, and despite the food waiting for us for over two hours it was still absolutely delicious. 🙏🏼

Best vegan cheese burger and chips I have ever had.

Visited with my son and spent a very pleasant afternoon with good beer.

We stumbled upon this pub looking for vegetarian food and was surprised that it was a completely vegan menu 😲 we were like kids in a sweet shop 😄 the food was delicious the different toppings on the burgers were amazing 🤤

Terrible experience in this pub. This burgers is called Rage against the Machine! Haha.£32.50for 2 of these with a coke and shandy for drinks. Never will be going here again.

Nice pub with great beer garden at rear which is a real sun trap , total vegan menu consisting of various burgers and dogs my wife and I both had different burgers and they were delicious. Pub is also dog friendly which is a bonus for our four legged friends.

My husband and I visited here a few weeks ago as the food advertised looked and sounded delicious. What a shock it was to be served what we got! £32.50 for 2 burgers served in a polystyrene cartons. I wish I could post a picture of it. It was embarrassing. Do not go here for food.

Was advised by many to pop in and they weren't wrong. Vegan food has come a long way, plenty of flavour and thoroughly enjoyable, very reasonably priced. Staff were pleasant and helpful as well

Super tasty burgers with delicious sauces and proper tasty fries. If you appreciate names of foods being linked with musical legends then this is for you! The chef was so friendly and sweet too. Visited the blue bell this evening and ordered food for me and my girlfriend ( rage against the machine burger and squeeze burger ) . Both were incredible . Big portions and excellent food very tasty . The staff Lizzy Abbie and Ashley were very accommodating and pleasant and I was blown away by their service . Highly recommend a beautiful public house in a beautiful part of north wales .

Constantly told to be quiet by bar staff, despite only talking and some singing as it was Christmas! No atmosphere at all. Staff very rude throughout. Do not recommend at all. Do not visit!!

If you want to smile or have fun, probably wouldnt come here. Came here over christmas and was asked to leave after being too loud and having a sing song with another group on the piano. Moved next door, much more welcoming.

Love this pub! The food was absolutely brilliant - I have only recently moved to a vegetarian/Pesci diet and sometimes miss meat based dishes. Their burgers were vegan and had music inspired names. Honestly the nicest non meat burgers I’ve eaten. And great value too. Definitely with a visit.

Great vegan food (and good value), great, inclusive atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks. Not a huge amount of tables for big parties, but 6 of us fitted in fine, and service was fast. They serve beyond burgers, and cook them really nicely!

We dropped in here, very thirsty, after visiting Conwy Castle; and our thirst was soon quenched with some very good and reasonably priced drinks. The place is really cosy, ideal for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing!

Visited today with my partner, as we're in Conwy for the day. We're staying in Pwhelli so planned ahead last night on where we would go for food today, as didn't want your normal 'fish and chips' restaurants. We aren't vegan, but this place gave me good vibes when reading reviews online, and I definitely wasn't wrong! The lady behind the bar was the most welcoming person I think we've ever met, so friendly and didn't make us feel unwelcome or uneasy due to not being Welsh (which other people seem to have a problem with unfortunately:( ) i ordered the 'rage against the machine burger' and my partner had the 'Jefferson airplane hotdog'. The food was Incredible, so tasty and full of flavour, I was planning on trying one of the pancakes but was too full from the burger. (Maybe next time haha) The only negative thing I have to say, is the amount of people that came in and walked back out or pulled faces when they saw it's all vegan menu, they're definitely missing out!! Thank you!💚

Very friendly staff decent range of beers really nice outside space we considered eating there but the Gulls were a real problem as we sat considering the menu a table nearby had a Gull swoop down on the food as a chap leaned to get his phone from his bag, luckily he had finished his meal .

Open mic 🎤 night on Sunday evening was very good

We visited here as we had heard about the vegan range of food which did not disappoint. Big, tasty portions and all 100% vegan. Very nice. We also went along to the pub for the Open Mic night which was great - one particularly awful...

Really disappointing experience because of the following. I had messaged several days in advance to find out when final orders for food were (as I had noted that the kitchen closed at 8pm, so wanted to be sure I would arrive with plenty of time). I was told that orders could be placed up to 8pm and absolutely no later. I travelled 45 minutes to this pub, really looking forward to trying the array of vegan food on offer. I arrived at 7.35pm and picked up a menu, only to be told that the kitchen was closed. I told them that I thought it closed at 8pm, to which the reply was "it usually does, but we've sold out of food". The way I was told was not very apologetic. I wouldn't say it was rude or dismissive - just sort of matter-of-fact. I have of course heard of pubs, restaurants and cafes running out of particular items, but to not have any food available whatsoever was not acceptable in my opinion. I know times have been tough for businesses over the past couple of years, but the fact that I messaged ahead of time to ensure that I would get to try some food really added to the disappointment in this case. I just assumed, like I do with all food venues, that I would be able to sit down for dinner as long as I ordered by the required time. So, a really disappointing experience, but great that the menu is pretty much entirely vegan (apart from cow's milk as an option in teas and coffees). I would like to see the cruelty milk removed completely in future to allow for a fully vegan pub which would be a great addition to a beautiful area. Hopefully one day I will actually get to try the food!

Big ticks in the friendly staff and nice food (great chips) categories. It's a cool looking spot with a great atmosphere. Family and dog friendly. The inside seating could easily be filled by a handful of groups. We were lucky to grab seating around dinner hours. The staff did everything right to make us want to drop in when we visit North Wales again.
