We came to the restaurant for an early dinner. The view and the interior were lovely. Menu was limited - sadly we couldn’t find any chicken dishes (not in a sandwich). I ordered beef brisket - it was served as a sandwich in between two ciabatta slices. It was soft, but the taste was sweet due to the chutney, and very disgusting due to the blue cheese. It wasn’t specified clearly, so I was hoping this cheese would be served separately and I just wouldn’t eat it, but nope, it was inside. The taste was very very bad. And the price was £14. Chips were served without any sauce, and no sauce was offered by the staff. So, it was very dry. Coffee was very bad and sour, had to ask for some milk to mix it together. Pavlova dessert for £8.50 was my biggest disappointment. It should be called micro-Pavlova. It’s the tiniest Pavlova I’ve ever seen, and so overpriced! Overall, can’t recommend - neither for the drinks, nor especially for food. Service charge 10% was already included into the price.

What a lovely meal. From the pre meal drinks right through to the desserts. It was so pleasant, and the meals were lovely and very reasonably priced. The three members of staff were all friendly as well. A really lovely place for a meal for a family birthday. Will recommend and be back the next time we're in llundudno.

Four of us visited this restaurant for an evening meal. We looked table the previous day-no problemWe were received well and taken to our table without any waiting. The waiters who served were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpfulHad a good wine list. The menu had good choices. The starters included mushroom soup, which was good, and calamari rings which were not that good. Coating burnt but inside cooked well.I had a beef curry with chips, which was very good and others all had lamb shanks and were very happy. We finished off with Irish coffee. All in al it was an enjoyable dinner.

Booked for 12 people for dinner, 1 in a wheelchair.Arrival was good, really friendly and welcoming and they had good quality portable ramps so getting my powerchair in was a doddle. My mother *loved* it, and said she was treated like a queen. Fabulous bonus points for me! It’s not haute cuisine but it’s good quality and very reasonably priced. The staff are fantastic- attentive but unobtrusive. The hotel looks lovely, I wish we’d stayed here. But we might be back as it’s their 60th wedding anniversary next year and my sister is thinking here might be perfect.

Booked a table 3 weeks in advance of coming to Llandudno. When we got there we didn’t get the option of sitting in the restaurant part. We had a choice of sitting next to a walkthrough between the restaurant and hotel next to a family with small children. Not the best for date night. The other option was to sit in the same room as a wedding party. Awkward! We ended up sitting next to the gents toilets which wasn’t ideal. Food was very nice though, but the whole experience was lacking.Won’t be booking here again.

We visited the restaurant, on our first night in Llandudno. My first impression was the building was clean and well presented if slightly dated . We were shown though to a dining room that has the appearance of a 90s Indian restaurant but very comfortable. I must say I wasn’t holding out much hope , oh my how wrong was I . The service was impeccable with every detail covered . The menu was varied catering from most tastes I had the pate to start , homemade and very tasty, I followed this with the steak and ale pie pastry was delicious the filling tender and rich accompanied perfectly by fresh mashed potatoes and then came the best bit , homemade key lime pie - wow is all I can say . My favourite dessert that I have eaten across America including the Florida keys ant this was honestly one of the best. Overall a fantastic meal will definitely be back

Not sure if this review is in the correct place as we ate here only, didn't stay. We've been going to the St Tudno for a few years now and have always enjoyed the food and they are dog friendly. We visited yesterday for lunch and noticed from the menu board outside that things had changed. We decided to go in and received a warm welcome along with an apology for the 'upheaval' going on, which in honesty was not noticeable bar some carpet in the hallway which was obviously about to be replaced. The very friendly young lady explained that the hotel next door had recently bought the St Tudno and was in the process of making some changes. We were shown to a table in a room we have been in before and noticed a knock through which made the room much nicer than it was previously. The lunch time menu offers excellent value for money. There is a good and varied selection of dishes available and guests can choose betweem one, two of three courses each with a drink included. The three of us all had two courses for £12.50 each. The drinks in the deal included Peroni, wine and even Presecco plus a range of soft drinks and coffees. I had Mushrooms to start and these were served in a blue cheese sauce of toasted sourdough bread, absolutely delicious. For mains we had a Gammon, Hunters Chicken and Fish & Chips, my fish was as nice as any I've had from a chip shop. Puddings were Ice Cream and Caramel Apple Tart with custard. Everything was beautifully cooked, very well presented and delicious. Already looking forward to our next visit and wish the new owners well, with food (and prices) like this, it shouldn't be a problem !

Firstly, myself and my family visit this hotel often for dining and have never had an issue, food is always fantastic and the staff are always willing to go the extra mile. HOWEVER on this occasion we ended up extremely disappointed, the food was brilliantly as per usual, we took advantage of the "eat out to help out" scheme, well we thought we had anyway. After my visibly vulnerable father had paid the bill, we sat finishing our drinks and i overheard two elderly ladies splitting their bill and couldn't help but notice they had not been given the eat out to help out discount. So I asked my father if I could look at the bill and to my surprise they had not applied the discount for our bill either! When I brought this up the gentleman couldn't really care about what I had to say and just put £20 in my fathers hand and said "you can see why most establishments want to pull out of this scheme" this is while another member of staff is in the kitchen swearing about being so exhausted about being in work late the evening before. This really shocked me because we had only ever had great experiences here. I shared my experience with another family member who informed me they also had the same issue the week before of not having the dicount applied. Simple solution if you didnt want to be part of the scheme you should have pulled out, not falsely advertise it and then not apply it and especially dont take advantage of vulnerable individuals who you think won't notice!

Came across the St Tudno hotel on a walk from our hotel just a few minutes away.It advertised a special steak evening deal at £29.95 for 2 persons including a bottle of red or white wine. this looked too good to be true but we decided to try it & were not disappointed. Choice of 8 ounce steak (sirloin, rib eye, rump, or pork) with vegetables & chips cooked to your liking plus a half decent bottle of white to compliment the meal.It was an excellent meal at an unbelievable price, so much so we visited for dinner the next evening & chose from the a la carte menu which again was excellent at a reasonable price.I would recommend this place for food & I think a stay in the hotel there could be very nice. Although the set menu was somewhat different from the one advertised on the website and was a bit fish free for my taste, particularly as it was a Friday!!, we had a refreshing salad to start with and guinea fowl with haggis which was tasty if not scrummy rather felt it had not been freshly cooked. The vegetables were generous though the broccoli should have been rescued from the pan a little earlier. Only one of us could manage a dessert the banoffee pie which was very good indeed. We went for the special offer of 2 courses for under £9 before 4pm. The restaurant was empty- just our table off 4. The place was clean with lovely views over the sea. Starters were nice, soup homemade but the rolls had been microwaved to death- could have broken a tooth on them. Three main courses were ok, I had what was described as rare beef which had also obviously been heated in a microwave so was very well done and chewy, the vegetables and roast potatoes were quite nice. The pasta with fish dish was served with no pasta just 2roast potatoes, when we pointed the error out the waiter disappeared and came back a few minutes later with a tiny helping of what could only be instant noodles and a jug of sauce?. Looked and I’m sure tasted awfull. At the end of the meal he enquire if all was ok I said yes except for the pasta dish- his reply- well where else can you get 2 courses for under £9, not very professional in my opinion. Live in Llandudno and working my way around, lots of eatery’s so won’t be back here- the pictures of the food looked so nice it’s a shame they can’t even follow their own menu.

We had thought of staying a this hotel but eventually did not .Thought we would go there for dinner on Sunday. The dining room was dark and desperately in need of modernisation. We waited for over an hour for my wife to be served any food. They did reduce the bill because of this but it somewhat dampened the evening. On seeing the other guests in the restaurant and the state of the hotel we were glad we had not decided to stay in the hotel

We had Sunday lunch at St Tudno's today. The food was excellent - duck pate, guinea fowl stuffed with haggis and wrapped in streaky bacon, all good, and the vegetablesthough simple were well cooked and everything was piping hot. The only thing that let it down was the very slow (20 minutes from ordering a starter to getting it and another 20 for the main course), and this even though there were only three tables being served and three waiters on hand.

My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant the night we stayed in the hotel. We had been to this hotel and restaurant on a couple of occasions several years previously. The decor seemed a little dated. The service was good and our server friendly and helpful. We had the fixed price menu (£15 for two courses) that had a lot of choices. My wife started with whitebait and I had a chicken Caesar salad - heavy on the chicken but not so much salad. Both were tasty and we had some warm rolls with the starters. My wife's main was the lamb shoulder (plus about a £3 supplement) that was very tender and tasty - hence the 4 star-.but was accompanied with an excess of jus and slightly over cooked vegetables. The mash was tasty that came with it.I had the beer battered cod with mushy peas and rather 'anaemic' soggy chips, the latter being rather inedible and disappointing! We also had the equivalent of a bottle of Chilean merlot in 'wine by the glass' that was good. The bill came to about £26 per head. Overall an average meal that was rather disappointing compared to our last visit.

Stumbled across this restaurant at 5pm on a Sunday, while desperate for a roast dinner. Most other places seem to stop serving by 4pm. Welcomed in by lovely staff and seated straight away. The restaurant was empty when we arrived but numbers were picking up by the time we had eaten.Delicious roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings for under £10, perfect.

We went for Sunday lunch and chose two courses for 14.95. We tried the duck pate and the buffalo mozzarella for starters and enjoyed both dishes. We followed by all of us choosing the guinea fowl breast wrapped in streaky bacon stuffed with haggis, which came with a selection of vegetables and roast potatoes. We could have ordered yorkshire pudding too, but none of us did. We all really enjoyed the guinea fowl, which we thought was excellent, the vegetables were ok but nothing special. We chose two wines, a Roumanian Sauvignon Blanc which was ok and a Shiraz, which was good. The stahh were friendly and helpful, the tables seated reasonably far apart. However, the room itself is a little dated and needs redecoration. In conclusion we thought the food was good and good value for money.

We stayed at this hotel in march 2016 and were so impressed with every aspect ( but never had lunch there because we were touring the area all day) that we agreed to go for a day out and have lunch. The lunch made the day worth while. A very pleasant welcome as we were taken to the superb dining room and immediately a bottle of complimentary water was placed on the table, our order for drinks taken as we were presented with the menu.We took our time ordering off an excellent list.I ordered black pudding with pepper sauce and got a generous delicious portion and the two ladies with me had a superb peppered mackerel with salad and horse radish sauce. I had delicious lambs liver as a main course and the ladies had roast sirloin of beef with all the trimmingsThe ladies had really good chocolate pudding and cream as a pudding but I was full upThe amazing thing to me was the price of the meal was very no more expensive than the town restuarants and the best lunch we have found there. Two courses for £8.50 and £2.25 for an additional course.Give youselves a treat and try it.

Eight of us had booked in for evening dinner at the hotel before going to the 60s show at the theatre, we arrived early at the hotel because it was pouring down outside, and were made very welcome by the staff on duty, we ordered cups of tea to warm us up and these were brought to our table in the lounge while our coats were taken away to dry out.We were shown to our table in the restaurant on time and were served as a group with no waiting,We all chose meals off the two course evening menu and all the meals were cooked to perfection, I can truly say that the two or three course evening dinner menu is incredible value for money, and the service is first class with nothing being too much trouble for the staff on duty. The only criticism I have is the price of a of the tea is a little high at £2 75 per cup. But I suppose this is hotel prices.

Arrived in Llandudno and went out for a meal. When you read this you may wish to view my other reviews I am not usually so scathing. So my recommemdation is make sure you reserve a table as the best places get booked quickly. So we ended up here. Murals on the wall of Lake Como, Italy - and no it's not an Italian restaurant. As you approach the Terrace it looked lovely from a distance. Once seated you find it's held in a time warp. You can tell how good the food was when we actually found ourselves counting the 25 of the 50 spot lights that weren't working oh and half those on the 3 big chandeliers too.The food - well there was plenty of it. Definitely a case of quantity over quality. With which I will leave it there.St Tudno's.... more a case of St Godknows why we went there.

We had booked a table for lunch and at very short notice we had to change the time. This was done brilliantly with no hint of it being an inconvenience or fuss.It was very busy and had a short wait in reception but we were acknowledged and our coats were taken and shown to our table. As it was so busy we did have a little wait to be served but in my mind this is not a problem if you are out for lunch with friends it is nice to have time to chat. My point on that note is that it is not a fast food joint we were there to enjoy the day.The food is amazing with an extensive menu, brillantly presented and totally no need for any added condiments like salt and pepper. We relaxed in the bar after our meal and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day.Thank you to everyone who made our visit an enjoyable one and we will return.

Having booked an evening meal with the hotel as non residents they did accommodate us (14 of us) however we decided to pop in for an afternoon drink.I ordered 6 drinks ( Bacardi,Jd,Malibu, dark rum, all with Diet Coke, sherry and a med red wine ) I nearly fell off the bar stool when the bar tender said £28.98.The bar served each spirit drink with a bottle of Diet Coke which is where probably most of the cost come from, however any good caring bar would say that maybe we would only need 2 bottles between us but sadly no. Needless to say we did t order another round.Evening meal 3 courses for £20 we arrived on time and I personally felt we received a frosty welcome from a man who seemed to look down his nose at us and or walking round with his nose up in the air all evening, never once did he or any of the other staff seem or want to interact with us, apart from a blonde haired lady, I felt quite unwelcome to be honest. The meal was ok for the ££ however I had fish, chips & mushy peas, the chips where dark in colour as though they were either fried in dirty oil or retries, they were undercooked as the potatoes was hard.I wouldn't eat here again and most certainly would not stay if this is the attitude, if this is the attitude of the staff. I feel the hotel is trying to be something that it is not.The concierge service, really? But the pull up advertising board behind behind reception stars that we don't Sorry for such negativity feedback

We called here after a walk and cannot say how much we enjoyed the afternoon tea. Everything was fresh and home made and tea for two would have fed four of us. Nothing was too much trouble , we had fresh tea with the sandwiches which came separate to the cakes, then the tea was refreshed to have with the cakes. The staff were lovely, can't wait to go back x
