Second time we've been and as the first lovely people wonderful service. They let my daughter bring in her mini chihuahua. I had a toasties and was surprised my Daughter was able to oder high tea for one. It was plenty. So much so I had a bit. Highly recommended this cafe. Very interesting items on the walls and ceiling. The toilet is how you'd expect an older family member's, all clean and pretty.

An excellent afternoon! I would highly recommend The Blitz tea room, we have such a lovely lunch celebrating my mums birthday! From arrival to farewells the staff were very friendly and created a lovely atmosphere! We have afternoon tea for two, ordered on the day and it was no problem! Vegetarian options available. Both were delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money! The tea room itself fully submerges you into the 1940s and it’s just beautiful! You could spend a few hours just looking at all the bits and pieces. But why not have a splendid cake while you are there!! Highly recommend a visit, we will be back! Thank you for a fab time!

We booked the tea rooms for our mum’s 90 th birthday and what a good choice. From start to finish the ladies were friendly and helpful and catered for around 30 of us. The afternoon tea, a mixture of sweet and savoury was perfect, with an endless supply of tea and coffee. The cakes were delicious! A great time was had by all ,making it a very memorable celebration. We will definitely be back soon. A big thank you to all the staff.

Visited The Blitz Tea Room and Jazz Lounge and was thoroughly impressed! The 1940s theme is executed brilliantly with authentic decor and music. The Churchill Afternoon Tea was a delight, featuring delicious homemade sandwiches, scones, and cakes. The tea selection was superb, and the staff's friendliness added to the already warm atmosphere. A must-visit for anyone in Kettering looking for a unique and memorable experience!

Well presented tearoom but unfortunately one of our cups had a huge crack. The food is basic but our toasted sandwiches were tasty. The addition of what looked like salad cream on the lettuce spoiled it for us. The waitress was very friendly but too quick to clear the table, despite the tearoom being quiet. My husband is hard of hearing and the piped music above us didn’t help.

Heard of this restaurant when an acquaintance posted some photos on Facebook one lunchtime. Wife and I decided to head over to Kettering to see for ourselves. It took some time to find it as it is tucked away, off Sheep St but when we went in, the welcome made the 20 mile trip was clearly well worth it. It's like stepping back in time with the place being almost a museum to the WW2 era. Look at the photos to get a feel for the place. Food was excellent with my wife having a ham baguette and myself settling for the chicken panini. Both appeared pretty quickly, were well presented with salad etc. Staff chatty and really made the visit feel as if we were old friends. This is one of these places that you just have to visit. An expert worth repeating.

We were in Kettering for a funeral and went here for lunch. There is some on street parking but no spaces were available when we arrived but we managed to park not too far away. Very busy for a Monday lunchtime but luckily there was one table available. Good choice of food. I had a Brie bacon and cranberry panini. This was delicious and came with a lovely side salad. The cakes and scones looked very tempting but we resisted as we knew that we’d be eating again at around 5pm. Decor in the tearoom in keeping with the wartime theme. If we are ever in Kettering again we would definitely eat here

Beautiful 40’s styled cafe set in the grounds of the local library, the staff are very welcoming, the cafe is spotless and staff very efficient. We had two toasted paninis and my husband had a fruit scone with jam and clotted cream, 2 coffees and a pot of tea, that was a bit on the expensive side costing £30. But comparable in price to other local cafes. Lovely atmosphere with nice music, we will definitely visit again and I have recommended this place to my friends.

At £3, the tea was certainly not worth it. Although meant to be drinking tea the ‘proper’ way with loose tea leaf, there was insufficient amount to make a nice brew. Also the lid cannot be closed because the receptacle containing the leaves got in the way. Most certainly not the price of a cuppa during the blitz.

My second visit, got a friendly welcome and prompt service. Tea was served with hot water in a pot, with loose leaves in a container. When you put the tea in the pot you invert the triple 'egg-timer' device which times the brewing (weak, medium or strong). Milk comes in a cute little glass bottle. I had a fruit scone with jam & clotted cream, it was slightly warm & very nice :-) The decor is quirky & fun - all themed to the period. The ceiling is painted to make it look like the roof has been blown off & planes are flying overhead :-) I shall certainly go again!

I was excited to receive a voucher for Afternoon Tea at The Blitz Tearoom. The cafe is tucked away by the church in the centre of Kettering and is a pleasant surprise. All decked out with wartime memorabilia, wartime music and the serving staff also in 40s clothes completed the scene. The afternoon tea was also clearly based on a 40s menu of the time, which meant unfortunately for a very bland treat. Plain cheese or ham sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and some rather dry cakes.Such a pity as it could have been so much better. The quality did not match the actual cost of the tea. I recommend a visit for the ambiance, but not the food.

We had the Vera Lynn afternoon tea - the sandwiches were plain cheese or cream cheese and cucumber - they were far more exciting on the menu! Didn’t offer a choice of scone and the cakes were small and rather boring. They even charged for a second pot of tea! Never had that happen before! It’s better value to have two scones and a piece of cake.

Me and two friends went for just some cake and coffee. I called up a day before to book a table on a Sunday and was told we didn’t need to book for just cakes. When we arrived we where told they only have people for roast dinner on Sundays and I explained about the phone call, so he sat us down about 20mins after we got our cake and coffee we where told we had to leave in 5 minutes as they had somebody coming in for the table we had to leave without finishing our drinks or cake and paid full price. This was absolutely disgusting behaviour and a waste of money

We took the time to pre-book a table, on arrival although the table had a reserve sign on it people were using it. We were offered alternative seating on bar seats! This was not an option for us and found our own table. Drink menu was nonexistent for ale or bitter drinkers. We ordered our food and drinks, after 10 mins some came to advise that one of our food options was not available so new meal ordered. Food came roast dinners were great, pizza was questionable and the boa buns were a let down. During our food a waitress came over to see how things were and decided to clean some glasses and plates as she did this she leant over my mother in law who was try to eat her meal! We ordered from the 3 puddings the restaurant offers and after a good 5 mins the waitress came to say one wasn't available. Surely with only 3 puddings on the menu they should know what wasn't available. 15 mins later we were informed that there would be a slightly longer wait to receive the other two ordered puds. At this point we gave up paid the bill and left. I can 100% say we will not return

Very nice cosy pub with friendly staff, just had drinks so can't comment on food. Had an open mic singing night while there and that was fun to listen to. Beer we had was tasty and well kept, will visit again.
