Myself and my husband popped in tonight for the first time. We had heard good things about the live music so thought we would try it for ourselves. The music was fantastic but we were absolutely horrified at about 7.45pm when we were asked to stop talking as apparently the acoustics of the room meant our talking was interfering with other people hearing the music. I am truly baffled as to how one couple talking about their week can interfere with a musician with an instrument, microphone and speaker!! To be asked to stop talking in a bar on a Saturday night in Tynemouth is quite unheard of. We understand that there are some miserable, unreasonable clientèle around but I strongly believe that management should have used their common sense in this situation and dealt with the situation differently.

We wandered in for a drink and stayed for food. Found in an innovative setting, this is one of a few food and drink places in the repurposed church in Tynemouth. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly and attentive, something that makes a hell of a difference when you’re spoiled for choice. The Sunday lunch was really nice, too. Tasty gravy (plus an extra helping) and a really good Yorkshire pudding. Well worth looking out; we will definitely be back.

It's an okay fish and chips shop, it's just got more and more expensive. It was well over £20 for an adult fish and chips with splash plus some fish bites and chips for the little one, so definitely more expensive than having a nice sit down restaurant meal for one adult and one child.

301 Whitley RoadAbsolutely hate the new screens they've put in, they don't pick up my inputs, and I'd feel a lot more comfortable in general having the option to order with someone. Came in and the lass was stood in the back playing on her phone, I tried to get her attention and when I eventually did I asked if I could order with her, she said I had to use the self service screens. So I had to leave, and obviously won't be back until there is an option to actually order with a member of staff.

210 Whitley RdCan I score lower than 1 star please!!!! Empty shop took 25 minutes to give me the wrong pizza... staff member was unable to understand basics of English or customer service.... we won't ever return, only for a full refund.
