Subway in North Tyneside

ordered a meal deal only got sandwhich, missed out all the extras, if I want what I paid for then I have to go pick them up myself or claim a refund from just eat. and bread was all ripped and split.

Ordered on Uber eats The sandwich was barely filled and it was literally just bread !!! Wanted to give the place another chance but it didn’t meet any expectations !!!

Other than missing the meatballs from the order. Everything was spot on.

This Subway branch is one of the best in the area, it has recently been refurbished and is clean. The orders are well put together and with care. The food is fresh and has never disappointed. Will return

asked to be delivered at 12 didnt get to me until half past, my sandwich had no cheese on and wasn’t toasted.

Driver was trying to deliver to the wrong street even though it was clearly marked.

Wrap tasted nice ,but was way too small and hash browns were tiny .I was very hungry afterwards

Had the kindest server called simon, let me try something i wasn’t sure about and had a conversation with us about the food and what he thinks is best. amazing service, super friendly

The first time we ordered, the tuna sandwich arrived without being toasted. The next time, it arrived without any cheese. I called the restaurant and spoke to a young male who said he'd check with the person who made the sandwich. I overheard him saying "did you put cheese on it?" The phone was then muted. Approximately 5 seconds later, the same young male unmuted the phone and told me he had checked the CCTV and there was cheese put on the sandwich. Yes. He'd checked CCTV in 5 seconds! Nonsense

I asked for my sandwich to be toasted. It isn’t. So I am not happy. This is over ten pound for a sandwich. I would expect it to be the order I wanted.

THIS IS THE WORST SANDWICH IVE EVER HAD . The cost of £8.30p for a flat soggy peice of bread with a little bit of floppy cold steak and 1 or 2 peppers i did not see staff make it i seen this once home . THE PRICE IS A DISGRACE I TOLD THEM AT STORE AND HE SAID THE STEAK IS £40 A BAG and that they were the cheapest subway around . this sandwich must have cost no more than 20p to make its DAYLIGHT ROBBERY there should be laws against charging the public the price was not displayed anywhere . the shop was empty and im not suprised i will never go back and will advise my thousands of followers to never visit a subway as they are like dominos extortionate

Have ordered from this subway several times now and even though I ask for toasted, etc, the subs are cold and sloppily made. Service is often rushed even though there are no other customers.

Observed a team member deliver spectacular service to a young man with learning difficulties. Fantastically patient and an uplifting interaction. Made me have faith in human kindness. Excellent work

Clean and quiet, the two staff wree friendly and put plenty of salad on the sandwiches.

It's a Subway, but normally you order something like a steak and cheese and expect it to be cooked through enough to melt the cheese. I asked for it as a wrap and toasted, but it was clay cold on the inside. Pretty underwhelming. I only realised this when I was about halfway through, so there was no point complaining by then. Next time I'm around, I'll go to Gregg's or Sambuca's around the corner.

I love a Subway salad. It's good that you can say what you want in your lunch and the Subway in Whitley Bay did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and helpful and my lunch was very tasty.

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to jump the tram down from Newcastle Upon Tyne to Whitley Bay and visit some of the great pubs in this seaside resort, we had been to some pubs and decided to drop into this Subway outlet and it was good. Typical Subway modern decor and furnishings, a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this Subway. I ordered cheese and salad baguette, my brother went for ham,cheese and salad, order was ready in no time at all ,we munched on our fresh baguettes and planned out the next pub to visit. A big fan of Subway, love the freshness of their sandwiches, we really enjoyed our in here before we moved on, its easy to locate along Whitley Road most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The ginger skinny bloke who works in there is very rude. I can only imagine he has an attitude problem and question the validity of my exemption card for not wearing a mask. Showing off in front of the very polite and helpful younger lady’s who work there. He’s one to watch, or register😉

I don’t mind a subway every now and then. Used Uber eats for this one and the service was great and the standard of the food was high as well. The packaging is pretty much all recyclable and it’s actually pretty healthy dependent on what you get.

Well it's a Subway. You know what to expect - a tasty fresh sandwich made to order. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I have to say it was the worst experience that I and my family have had. Stale bread and thrown together avoid going to Tesco next door your get more value for your money

Getting less and less salad everytime I go in must of been 10 bits of sweet corn and 3 sliced peppers very tight on meat too can go to different branches and get a lot more

The lady who was the cashier put the subs both in the same bag, i asked her if we could have our orders in individual bags as working in different places. When i asked this she looked at me in disgust and was unpolite 🤔 the customer service disappeared in that split second. I only asked for them to be put in individaul wraps...

Subway in Whitley Bay is centrally located and is a good place to grab a tasty snack. Eat in or take away.

Really like here because it's in the middle of Whitley bay, parking is a pain but staff are lovely and food is decent size portions and is generally quiet also staff are lovely would definately recommend here for food!

I'm but the service at this subway is terrible. Staff are always in the room at the back and once they do acknowledge customers it's uninterested and lacking of spirit. I don't expect a song a dance with my food but decent level of interest may help. Food itself is standard, place is relatively clean depending on when you go. The worst on when teenagers hang about, causing a mess and creating a unlikable atmosphere.

Staff are utterly useless and seem to not make anything on the menu correctly! Not only this but the staff were absent for about 10minutes somewhere in the back of the store! Absolutely shocking and should be addressed

Average subway, I do like the nice smells of the heated up bread but overall the prices are way too high for a sandwich.

Ive never usually had any problems visiting a subway store however on my last two visits to subway in Whitley bay I have left the store very disappointed in the service I received. They have a loyalty points system in place but on two occasions no one has asked if I have a subcard and each time I've said can you scan my subcard so I can receive my points I have been told oh I'm sorry it's too late I've already rang it through the till so on the second occasion I waved my phone sub app under the same girls face asking her to scan it and she did the same again well I'm sorry but I told her that she should ask every customer that comes through the shop if they have one both times missing out on my loyalty double points. And the foot longs are not twelve inches the last one only measured 10 inches

Very nice food salad good and the sandwiches are very big and filling. They also do kids meals for little people.

Always rude staff when I used to go. Partner went along and they closed before 4pm which I thought was weird considering subway is open late even on bank holidays. The guy in the shop said it was because it's New Years eve? Yet the other subways in surrounding areas are all still all open until late? There branch is an absolute joke

Visited Whitley bay subway today. Was served quickly. The food was fresh and nice. As with all subways it was the same food. Restaurant was clean and tidy.

By 2.30pm on a Saturday afternoon they had run out of flat bread,ham and turkey. Ingredients were running out so they were running about!! The staff were loud and not very nice, talking between them selves, poor uniform, unclean tables and 2-3 of them really didn't want to be there.

I don't expect a royal treatment, but the staff in this Subway always seems rather unfriendly. And can agree with one of the other comments, I never seem to get the bread I want. Quality of the Subs is ok, not the worst, but not the best either.

I visited this store on sat 27th at 11.50am i could only have a choise of 2 breads most of the salad was empty i couldnt have sweet onion sauce as it wasnt ready needless to say my sandwich wasnt the best, and maybe you could ask your staff to smile it really doesnt cost much. I wont be going back to that shop.

I often travel around and often like a quick subway cheap cheerful service problem is did anyone tell this place that. First off i how can you run out of bread i mean come on as am stuck with this plain bread i didn't expect my meatballs to be burnt they were horrible wish i went to greggs and had a steak beak with no steak in it. After reading the other review it is to brand standard but the service is not the best and if they can not even sort the bread and filling out it is not good. Clean place as a standard customer service and food nil points sorry.

It's just a Subway, so nothing to get excited about however the three times I've been in here I've found the staff are terribly rude and your made to feel like you have inconvenienced them in some way by calling in for a sandwich. We were stared at and nobody asked what we would like, so we walked towards the till and were asked if we'd mind going back up the counter to place an order up there. It felt like it was done on purpose and to be awkward. Then we were asked what we wanted, picked our bread which was cut and then told they didn't have the filling we asked for but there was no offer of help or even asked what we wanted instead. No "we dont have any of this but I could swap it for this?". The tone of the girl serving was just short as it has been in each visit, there was a lot on sighs and at one point she was going to be told what she could do with the sub. Its only a good job my girlfriend is more diplomatic. A bit of golden advice - just go to Greggs or Sambucca across the street or find a McDonalds.

Very little salad on 6 inch sub. You couldn't slice the tomatos and cucumbers any thinner. Not value for money at all. Asian owner, that's why. I won't be back!

just your average subway. asked for a wrap but don't do them so got a sandwich instead sat down started to eat it 2nd bite in came across a long curly hair. took it back the girl just made a joke of it blaming the guy working with her i wasn't amused so pointed out it was definitely hers it matched perfect so then appologised and did offer a replacement sandwich but i was totally put off not been back since!

No complaints there...but, when I visitied the whitley bay location lately (which is in a very central position in the town), I found, like other reviewers, that the service was poor. The two girls serving were sitting down at a table and seemed annoyed to have to get up and serve me and were very bulshy in doing so and lacked any customer service skills. Having been served, I are the Subway Melt sub (very good...) In the restaurant whilst the staff spent the time discussing their lives somewhat loudly only to be interupted by those awfully annoying customers who are so inconvenient in wanting to be served...

I have to agree completely that the service you get in this particular Subway is below their standard, being sluggish and looking very incompetent. Good point is they keep the food within the firm's standards, so if you're patient enough you will receive what you expect from the menu. By the way - never happened to me to be told there is no subway of the day, in my case it's just the service that keeps my away from for most of the times.

I'm a big fan of Subway and would much prefer one of their sandwiches over any other fast lunch. I love the way you can have extra salad etc on it. Despite not being busy, the service at this Subway was painfully slow. There were 2 members of staff on duty, about 5 people in front of me (some as couples) but it still took nearly 15 minutes to get sandwiches made.The food was great, don't get me wrong, but your staff should be paid to serve and not chat to each other.
