Dixy Chicken in North Tyneside

Oder didn’t arrive phoned the restaurant twice and got promised my Oder was on the way and never turned up even on the app it said it was delivered when it wasn’t

Ordered food at 10pm didn’t arrive till 2 hours later, also they said they had no drinks available but I still had to pay for one madness

Burger was nice but was cold :(

meal was cold, delivered in plastic bags and no thermal protection. initial estimated time for delivery was delayed.

Didn’t receive order it says order delivered but didn’t get my order🥹😭

Food del8very time was moved back twice. They had none of the desert i ordered and no large bottles of pop so only 3 cans to replace it. chips were luke warm and hard.

Took a while to arrive and when it did half me meal was missing, no drink or fries, then they wouldn’t answer the phone.

Poor service/communication. Ordered 18:30, original expected delivery 19:10-19:25. Goes past 19:30, I have to get in touch to enquiry about this then had delivery time changed to 19:50. Food arrives at 20:05. Poor communication. No discount given.

Good food when it arrived! However, every time I call the restaurant to find out where my food was I just got the run around. Only after demanding a refund did the order miraculously arrive

Very good food super friendly and freshly made when you order. Therefore you must wait a bit but well worth it.

Chicken was dry and overcooked, asked for 2 beans and got 1 beans and 1 gravy ☹️

feel bad for not giving 5 stars as the delivery driver was spot on and extremely polite. but the food does need a bit improvement, batter could have been crispier, still enjoyed the meal though, hence the 4stars. delivery time got changed too.

Ordered family bucket and pop, got some free mini fillets and fries and 10 percent off. Worth every penny. Chicken was amazing, the coating around the chicken was crunchy yet soft. It was lovely. Delivery driver was lovely too. Will be back!!!

Terrible. Food took 1 hour 40 minutes to arrive. Called twice and was given different excuses. Restaurant updated on just eat to say it had been delivered when it hadn't. When it finally arrived, the pizza was inedible and the base smelt rancid.

Went here Sunday night had to wait 15 mins for chicken burger and chips assuming it was cooked while I waited so I didn’t care for the time but when I open my burger up literally outside the place it was warm not red hot and the chips were warm so not been cooked fresh and the place smells horrible of body odour would not recommend again avoid at all costs

Joke of a place Went to grab 4 mini fillet burgers for a quick bite, which are meant to be ‘£1’ they ended up charging me £3.60 for cheese. All together just under £10 Ended up waiting 40 minutes for 4 mini fillet burgers. Came before for a full chicken said it would be 45 mins, ended up being 1:30 hours This place is terrible I don’t recommend it, they say one thing and do another, nothing is ever on time. Try charge you on lil things like 50p extra for a rubicon. Might as well close down

Even though the food came late, which was unusual based on passed orders, the food was still hot and fresh. The shop also rang us to let us know and keep us updated.

the order was so late by the tome ot got here i think they moght of jist given us the left overs from the night, got the wrong sides ordered coleslaw got gravy and beans [that were awful]. the chicken was so dry like it had been sitting for ages the only thing that was OK but still not the best was the garlic sauce. Will not order from here again

Ok so I can forgive the delivery time, I understand they're busy. Just can't forgive or forget the absolutely terrible food. THE FULL ORDER was cold, the corn on the cob tasted like vinegar, the mini fillet burgers looked to have been assembled by Edward Scissor Hands. Can honestly say I'll NEVER order from here again.

Absolutely atrocious service! Took over 3 hrs to deliver from a mile away! And then only delivered because I phoned to ask where my order was! !, and still the order was wrong!, Disappointed as food is excellent… but in future will never use this place…

Food was cold , ordered extra toppings and pizza came with none of the toppings and also took 1:30 minutes to deliver.

Order was 30 mins late, I called and they said it would be another 15 mins, arrived and it wasn't. Also, the Smash burgers are not smash burgers. it tasted like normal patty's - very disappointed

Good food great customer service

The service there was amazing, I've been to a few Dixy chicken takeaways, but this one by far is one of the best I've been to. The quality of the food was on point, definitely recommend to anybody.

When it comes to Dixys in the UK it’s always hit and miss, but my word the food at Whitley Bay Dixy’s was without a doubt the best I’ve had in the UK. The chicken was so tender and just perfectly fried. My daughter had Peri(or Piri), whatever it’s called, and she loved it, a bit spicy but delicious. The staff were so friendly too. Definitely recommend and will be back next time I’m here.

Haven't ordered from here for a while, but they popped up on recommended, so I thought I would give them another chance. Unfortunately the order was delayed quite a bit, so it wasn't very hot when it got here.

The food here was really nice. Recommend for a good tea. Staff are nice. Quick service too. Recommend it for some nice chicken and good service.

I used to love dixy in Whitley but not sure what has happened to the portions? Payed £7.79 for a 3 chicken strip meal and the chips portion wouldn’t feed a child.

Back to its best. Chicken was spot on.

I am biased here, no one get the food that fast and just out of the fryer 😋 Chips were amazing , chicken were good but the smaller the better ( the drum stick was best) The bias was that the chicken didn't take enough time to get rid of all the oil since I was the last customer in line ( served very quickly yet not enough time to drain all the oil) which might be the only down side The 2 gentlemen who were on shift were really nice and asking how was it, I am glad any way The place seems to be in redecoration phase( wall banners were off yet the kitchen was shiny ( which is what I do care for, most of my reviews are : are people nice and helpful, how food was, how hungry was I , I must say I was just passing time,yet enjoyed 😄) Just add, I would always prefer spicy chicken if they are available any where, for some reason it gives better crunch, I forgot to ask for it here

The food is amazing now - I was off Dixy’s for a while but the quality has definitely improved - honestly much better than it has been for a while. This is my third order since new management and it’s been great each time.

Came pissed, staff were excellent, sorted out what I wanted, love the place, love Whitley Bay. Give it a try.
