my wife asked me to pop in and get a couple of cakes they had very little choice i bought a cream puff and what looked like a Belgian bun the cream puff was stale with some synthetic cream at £3.50 thats crazy! the bun was dry and stale my wife was very disappointed "fresh and organic! more like stale and plastic!!! nothing like the old bakery!

Great food friendly staff my mother in law comes in here a lot to the cafe and orders buys all sorts highly recommend thanks

Unfortunately I will never return to this business. The younger cashier shouldn’t be working in customer services. Rude, unpleasant and unprofessional. Food was mediocre.

Excellent customer service delicious food and drink would highly recommend buy my bread every week.

Really great selection of cakes and breads, so many hard to choose, but so good you want to try them all. We always go, whenever in the area.

Every thing was so so dry and the steakbake was absolutely awful with no meat at all , the corniche pasty awful dry pastry , the Belgian buns although very big were inedible because they were drier than the Ghobi 🏜 outrageous that they call them a Bakers

I put in a regular order for a large bloomer here as i wanted fresh uncut bread not in plastic bags so it stays crusty. The first 2 weeks order was not there at all, the next it was fine, the next few times it was already in a sealed plastic bag when i got there and then not only in a bag but cut up, the Lady who i think is the boss says not her fault as it "arrives from the bakery like it" So not cooked there its not a bakers! Also one of the times i picked up the bread i also bought some peanut cakes only to find mould on the creamy stuff inside it. Very disappointed

I’ve used this bakery occasionally for special treats Popped in today purchased two fruit tarts as I’ve had these in the past and they have been lovely with a custard type filling. This time absolutely revolting stoggy horrible cheap cream stuff. They went in the bin overpriced and horrid. Rip offfff Has this place changed hands? Where’s the nice home made cakes gone!!!! Especially the green tea cake

Visited for breakfast and ordered two full English. Warm welcome at the door with friendly and efficient staff. Food arrived hot and portions were just right. Everything was cooked as requested with special requests from my wife. Lady that took our orders was so understanding and nothing was a trouble. After our breakfast we decided to purchase items from bakery and again very happy with the choices and prices Definitely recommend

Unscramble scrambled eggs, untoasted thickly sliced stodgy flavourless toast, tasteless stodgy sausages, nice 🥓 bacon How can you fail on such simple fare? Nicely served and English breakfast tea in pot So unimpressed

i asked the guys at Blackberry to produce an enormous platter of cakes to give to my Mum on new years Eve. she is in a home and we cannot visit because of the rules..... i wanted something she could share with all of the other residents and the guys at Blackberry were outstanding. They designed and put together the most enormous quantity of delicious cakes of all descriptions ad they delivered it on New Years Eve free of charge... thanks very much guys. i wish you all the success in the world - you deserve it.

A really good local bakery and cafe. Food cooked on the premises and when it's fully open, an excellent cafe, with a nice ambiance.

The bags of bread flour were excellent quality and value. The croissants were delish. Bread sliced if required. Staff friendly and efficient. Will use much more regularly. Many thanks for supplies during Coronavirus and all your time and hard work.

This is a bakery, not a cafe or restaurant. Even on a very much reduced operation because of covid, Lukasz and his merry team are producing a good range of delicious and very fresh bread. For me, the tiger loaf is tops, and brings that little bit of luxury to a time when many things are in short supply. Keep up the good work, Blackberry Bakery team.

Fantastic little bakery- stunning cakes and the jacket potatoes are lovely. Huge, generous filling and massive salad on the side with homemade coleslaw. Would highly recommend this place- coffee is amazing too!

Way overpriced cakes and food! Claiming to cook fresh cakes on premises when I can clearly tell they are from brakes! ( used to manage a pub) service is poor staff openly argue in front of customers! There was a lady smoking out the back with the door wide open into kitchen area the smell of smoke was overwhelming! Will not be returning!!!

Excellent range of food. Some of the breads had sold out, however it was late in the day. Slight hiccup with order that was rectified immediately. The quality of the foods was outstanding. Will visit again very soon.

I have been visiting this local bakery most weeks as it sold jacket potatoes to take away , which was something my friend asked me to get for her. Last week a jacket potato and filling would set you back £5.99. It’s now £6.99! Even £5.99 is pushing it as most eateries in the town centre don’t even charge this for waitress served food. I also ordered a plain jacket potato with just butter . The first few times I was charged £4-£4.50 but this week the lady serving (tight curly hair ) charged me £6.99 , the same as a filled one. And a price increase of more than 50% from previously !! I queried this with her and she wasn’t having any of it. She VERY reluctantly charged me £6. The other lady serving looked at me and seemed very uncomfortable with this pricing too . I was deeply dissatisfied and let her know that this would be my last visit. The cakes are extortionate too. The meringues at poplar nurseries are so much better and nowhere near the prices blackberry charge. Even tiny plain muffins are £1 , the sort you can get in any supermarket in those little tubs of 20 for about £2 .There are quite a few competitors locally who offer similar food and they always seem busier and more pleased to see customers. I was delighted when I found out that Nindys fish and chip shop had a sandwich bit that served jacket potatoes. £3.85 is their most expensive and that comes with 2 fillings. I think they said a plain one was about £2. Their sandwiches are the best around and they are always friendly . Such a shame that blackberry bakery seem all about profit and not customers. Following the refit , they could have made a big impression but sadly the prices and service won’t help this.

Very friendly staff, lots of choices to choose from. Dessert amazing! Highly recommended! Decent prices.

Popped in here the other day for a spot of (late - 10AM opening!) breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff, nice cosy chairs and a good selection of sweet or savoury nibbles. Coffees and pastries this time but the list of other stuff they do might mean we try something more substantial next time. Seem to be making a go of it as a cafe now, not just as a bakery, which is nice for the local area.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! If your looking for somewhere where you can hear the manager shouting and bullying her staff then yes this is the place to go!.. If not then I would give a wide BERTH! On top of the constant shouting and moaning at her staff the customers are not treated with respect but as if they are a naucience just being there!.. All I wanted was a nice local place to go and have a cuppa and chat with my friend and we were left feeling very uncomfortable with the foreign manager's attitude towards her customers and staff! I honestly don't think she cares at all about the business,customer's or staff. We left after drinking our tea which was not very nice and we will certainly not be going back. I have to say though the staff where very good considering all they were trying to do but mostly for working in that kind of environment as I don't think many people would be able to do so! I will be advising my family friends and school mums as it was utterly DISGRACEFUL!!!...

Is the bakery doing so well it can turn away customers?Walked in the bakery this morning member of staff out the back but I saw her so she should have seen me ,sounded like she was on the phone .Waited a couple of minutes but no service so left.Not good .

Recently started to offer eat in option for breakfast, lunch, etc, so you can grab a cake, pastry or something hot and a coffee or tea and sit and enjoy in house.
