After visiting Gabriella's (same business owners) across the road and being informed that they had no breakfasts available at midday (wtf) we decided to visit Black Sheep and regretfully I won't be returning. Order placed relatively simply but this is when it went wrong. Waitress took our drinks to wrong table. Waited overly long for breakfast which was also taken to the wrong table. Then no cutlery. No offer of sauces or salt and pepper. I had to go and collect cutlery from another table. Food was cold, poached egg overcooked, bacon undercooked, toast buttered (I'd like to choose whether I have my toast buttered). Honestly was incredibly poor and we chose a local business over Wetherspoons up the way. AVOID!

Have been today to this cafe & was very disappointed with food & service. Ordered a barm but when it came it was bread, when I questioned it they said they had no barms left so they should have informed me & given me a choice. Also when it came the sausage was hardly cooked. Won't be visiting this place again any time soon.

Black Sheep tea room cafe in St Annes. I normally go to the sister café Gabriella’s in St Annes, but thought I’d try B S today. I’m so glad I did. Lovely warm ambience, nice music, large windows to people watch. The food was lovely. Excellent Cheese on toast similar to Via Venito famous cheese on toast (now closed) in Blackpool. Family owned and run, which I like. Will definitely return.

Called in to get out of the rain and grab some lunch for our little one. The staff were lovely and provided come paper and crayons. Children’s jacket potato was idea for a carb loving child. Coffee was great and very much needed on a rainy Sunday. The rest of the food looked lovely (sneaking a look at the next table). Lovely little place

First time going here and I wasn’t disappointed! It was absolutely outstanding! Great quality of food, plenty for your money and the coffee was very nice too! The owners were lovely and very aware of their customers and had a chat with us to which was very nice. Our waitress was called Steph and she did not stop the whole time we were there, she made sure everything was done to our satisfaction and very polite and welcoming too, nothing was to much for her and her quality of service was amazing, we will definitely be back because of how nice the owners and waitress was. Can’t wait till next time!

Food was quality issue was time it took to arrive. 30 mins for food to arrive at table meant drinks were consumed b4 it arrived .Adjoining tables only wanted cake and coffee endured a longer wait. When busy needs front of house management waitresses polite and helpfull but sometimes need an older experienced leader. Cold drink in warm glass for an example. Food itself redeemed the establishment as ingredients and cooking A1..

We really fancied the afternoon tea so called up to book a table as we knew they’d be busy. Got there 5 minutes early and were seated at our reserved table. We ordered afternoon tea with a selection of sandwiches on brown bread. The cold drinks and plates arrived shortly afterwards and we were getting hungry. After 30 minutes, the young waitress came to our table and asked if she could take the plates! I replied it’d be nice to have some food on them first! Finally after 40 minutes the food arrived, we had less than 2 rounds of bread each cut into 3 finger sandwiches half of which were on WHITE bread! The selection on offer was ham, cheese, egg and tuna. We’re we’re served ham with cheese and tuna. Some selection that was. To be fair we then got another 3 finger sandwich on brown. Having drank our drinks nearly an hour before we ordered a pot of tea for 2 but guess what? It didn’t turn up. No apologies at the till just a bill for everything including the POT OF TEA. If you want a nice lunch in a reasonable time avoid this place at all costs. Unbelievable was not in it.

Came in for brunch, service was brilliant, staff are very friendly. It was busy and all staff are clearly doing there best. Food was lovely and given how busy it was I wasn't waiting long. I would highly recommend coming here and remind people staff can only do so much at once! Thanks you black sheep

Firstly we were told it was very busy and there was a 30 minute wait for food. However it wasn't very busy. There were empty tables outside and only a couple occupied inside. One table got food just as we ordered ours. No other food appeared from the kitchen until ours arrived 40 minutes later. My meal should of had colslaw, but there wasn't any. When I asked I was told that they couldn't serve it as it had gone off as the kitchen was too hot. Surely it would be kept in the fridge. We were asked which bread we wanted, and asked for white bread and were given seeded brown We were given the wrong drinks. The staff seemed fairly disinterested. Several people came in and left without ordering. Such a shame. I've been here several times and never had an issue until now. I've seen it very busy and never had to wait for so long for food. The food seemed a bit lacklustre, and thrown together compared to previous visits.

I finally got to experience the Black Sheep this morning after hearing so many people praise it. Well, I’m gutted. It was 23 quid for a couple of breakfasts and it was simply not worth it. It took over 45 minutes for the food to appear after ordering and there were only two other tables in use so it was far from overrun at 10am on Bank Holiday Monday. When it did arrive it was cool, unseasoned, and tiny. It wasn’t even quality food. Even the orange juice seemed to be concentrate. I don’t know why it has the reputation but I certainly will not be going back. Definitely one to avoid.

Visited with a friend for breakfast. Extremely cramped cafe, far too many tables. There was an empty table by the window but we couldn't get to it as the table beside it had a couple sitting there and were completely blocking off access to it. The staff were friendly enough and the food was nice although they've no idea how to make proper toast. Probably won't go back.

What a menu! I usually tweak my order when eating out for breakfast, to drop an item or add something to it, but this place offers a fab selection of dishes. The special egg menu is spot on and I'm looking forward to working my way round it one dish at a time. Service is quick and friendly, with a smile. Tables are well spaced. Easy access to a single, unisex toilet. Free 90 minute parking available on the street. We'd recommend the Savoy Eggs and the Full English - all fresh ingredients, beautifully presented. Great decaf coffee too.
