Central Beach Cafe in Fylde

Always my favourite cafe. There are many cafes in Lytham but this is the only one I go to. Great coffee, great food and great service . I had the breakfast bagel and it was delicious. My friend had the scrambled egg and that looked equally scrumptious too .

Dropped in for a quick break. Decent coffee, excellent cakes and very friendly service. Food sounded interesting but we didn’t try try it good place to go! Especially if you like dogs.

This has become our go to place for lunch on our visits to Lytham which are perhaps 2/3 times per year - the reason, extensive gluten free options. With a gluten free allergy it is rare to find somewhere that offer such an extensive range of gluten free options, 4/5 different cakes/pastries etc, 2 soups, gluten free bread for an array of sandwiches etc. The food if top quality, prepared to order and serves by friendly & attentive staff.

Nostalgic trip to Lytham , so glad we stopped at the Central Beach Cafe , lovely helpful staff and wonderful cake and coffee, would highly recommend.

Always my go to place when I need a coffee or tea. Brilliant service and great value for money. I had triple cheese on toast today too which was just scrumptious. See ya all soon

Myself and my friend went for lunch today, unfortunately we will not be going again. The reason why is we ordered a pot of tea for two. It was a busy weekend and the tea promptly arrived, the wait for lunch was approx 20 mins, which we didn't mind however, by the time it came our teapot had gone cold, we requested hot water to reheat, but were told that unless we paid for it they couldn't provide any. Now I have eaten in thousands of cafes in my lifetime but never had to pay for hot water. In fact, most cafes provide this without asking. We were considering dessert, however decided to find another cafe to finish lunch. Our fellow diners thought it was a joke and also others we spoke to. We live locally and visit Lytham regularly as do a lot of our friends, however, we won't be going into this cafe again. We are spoilt for choice in this area and will not frequent Central Beach Cafe. Very disappointed.

Great place to sit and people watch. Coffee is delicious, staff friendly and helpful. Never eaten here so can't comment. Sitting in the outside area on the side street is the best of both worlds. You can be outside but protected in a shower.

Recently visited with my youngest daughter for a mini "dinner date" she's been asking to go on.. safe to say we wasn't disappointed! She loved seeing all the well behaved pups on the tables around us and demolished a full plate of pancakes (which were superb btw, a must try!) Staff were all so great with my 5 year old too! We will definitely be back again!

Landed here not long after parking up on a Saturday lunchtime to satisfy 5 people aged between 4 and 80! Located on the main shopping street in Lytham this place had keen appeal and looked even better inside. We sat at outdoor tables hoping the threatened rain kept away. The 4 year old wanted pancakes and chocolate sauce (luckily on the menu for kids) and the 80 year old an Eton Mess Sundae to make up for their lack of food from the low budget accommodation they had been staying at elsewhere in Lancashire. Others had a biscoff toffee sundae, a meatball brioche, and a pulled pork brioche. The savoury dishes were OK and the sweet dishes more of a treat. Service was functional rather than friendly. Prices not too bad. Dog friendly and ideal for people watching.

Lovely cafe in the heart of Lytham. Bubbly and vibrant atmosphere, dog friendly with warm welcome and pleasant service plus a delicious coffee. You can't miss it.

I really like this Cafe and have been several times.I was made to feel very welcome.The food and service were excellent. There is an excellent menu with plenty of choice .The Cafe itself is very clean and pleasant with plenty of seating.

We went here yesterday as have been before as its so dog friendly for a cake.(cakes were nice) However the food yesterday was awful.Cheese on toast- cheese was burnt making the toast hard as rocks it was inedable almost broke a tooth. Husband couldnt finish the soup either as was so salty.The young girl took my full plate of food didnt even ask what was wrong no adult in site to complain too. So just left hungry and £25 short! Sorry to say won't be back!

Came here for lunch last week. Very busy but the staff were patient and friendly. Had a good lunch for less than a tenner and the coffee was excellent quality. Will definite come here again.

The service was shocking rude manager and the staff throwing OUTRAGEOUS looks in my direction the customer service was APPALLING and honestly makes me not want to EVER step foot in there again absolutely disappointed

Came in with our mini dachshund for lunch, the staff were absolutely fantastic with her (and us). The food was delicious, service was fast, and the staff were incredibly lovely! Lots of woofs from Dottie

Went for breakfast. Excellent food, great value for money.

Been here in the past but unfortunately on our visit today we felt like we were in a kennels! It clearly accommodates dogs which we've always been aware of but today it was horrendous. Dogs of all sizes everywhere. Staff obviously making a fuss of them too. To be honest we were disappointed and got out quickly and won't be back. It's ideal for dog owners but avoid if you're not!!!

Very busy, which is good, expensive cake £5 for scone n jam, unfortunately scone was stale and small. Would try something else another time.

We visited today 22/2/24 we had coffee and cake, my wife had cappuccino with hazelnut syrup and a raspberry and lemon scone. I had a black coffee and blueberry and lemon with white chocolate cake( possibly the best cake I’ve ever had) everything was amazing. The service was excellent and the staff made a real fuss of our dog even putting a photo of him (ace) on the wall of fame.

Fantastic service, great value food - and plenty of it. Lunch for grandparents and 1 year old granddaughter. Plenty of room for the pram. High chair provided. Small serving of scrambled provided, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Creamy garlic mushrooms on sourdough bread superb as was the chicken Caesar salad. Staff attentive throughout. A thoroughly pleasant experience. We will be back. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic place to grab a bite to eat. Great staff, fantastic menu, reasonably priced, and very dog friendly. 10/10 - Will be returning ASAP.

We only had a drink, the food certainly looked good tho. ( We were still full from our hotel breakfast ) Our dog Taz enjoyed her doggy breakfast tho and was happy to have her pic taken and go on the wall of fame. All the staff were great 👍 A refreshing change to receive such a welcome when you have a dog with you.

Just sat in this lovely dog friendly cafe. Mexicana toastie was fabulous sauce on it was really spicy. Dog menu available and free biscuits too. Staff are really good even took a picture of my dog for hall of fame. Wondering if I have room for one of the great selection of cakes they have here. You will see me again 👍

I came in for a quick cup of coffee and had a nice sit down in this lovely little cafe in the center of Lytham. Good cup of coffee, friendly staff and overall decent environment.

Literally not much I can say apart from excellent. Dog friendly (my pooch bear is going on wall of fame) Food amazing and such friendly service well worth the visit would suggest to anyone.

A full varied menu of very good quality food, served by waiters and waitresses that are friendly and smile a lot which is very important to me, also dog friendly with their own menu, altogether an excellent lunch

This is a lovely place to visit, with the best cakes!! Always a lovely welcome from Izzy and Tim, great customer service. It's a great place to meet people as the tables aren't too close together and it also allows people to bring the pooches (who are catered for too) definitely worth a visit for breakfast, lunch, coffee pit stop whatever!

What a lovely warm atmosphere, friendly owners+staff. Food amazing. Prices reasonable. You've gotta visit if you're in Lytham.

This is a wonderful clean Cafe owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. This cafe is dog friendly as a dog lover it gets you talking to people. Not visited for over a year. Went in today. Seemingly new owners since end of last year Wow! Now the best coffee,bacon butty and atmosphere. Friendly owners and staff. Very clean. Wonderful display of tantelising food. Great welcome for our pooch Rosie . We will be back very soon and have changed our regular coffee stop from today. Called twice at this cafe. First time for coffee and decided the next day to call for lunch. We had sandwiches and a pastie . All were good. Prices were reasonable .

As a coeliac this coffee shop was fab. There was a choice of 4 Gluten Free cakes and one was lemon meringue pie that I have not had for years and it was fabulous. If you can’t eat gluten or even if you can go here, you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend the Gluten Free lemon meringue pie!

Called in on Sunday for a gluten free sandwich. They were very professional asking if choice or allergy, as it is allergy they said it would take about 15mins as they had to clean the kitchen area for my food this was fantastic that they did this. The food was lovely, great service and a lovely cafe thank you we will be back.

Went in with two preschoolers who staff noted and commented on. At the counter had to wait for the main lady to take my order while 3 teenagers stood gormlessly about, doing nothing. Ordered two children's pizzas. No word that these might not be suitable...

Beautiful cafe, we sat on the balcony in the sunshine. The staff were lovely and friendly and we had a lovely meal outside. Cannot fault it!!

Lovely friendly staff who were very attentive, professional and efficient. Great to feel welcomed and a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent as too was the coffee with full cream milk ( a rare commodity in cafes now) so thank you.

Coffee poor (flat white). Watched several coffees being made. Tamping missed out every time. Perhaps they've lost it. Under-extracted. Left it. According to the owner below, apparently they have the world's only 3 group-head integrated auto tamping espresso machine, rather than a staff training need! Oh dear

Very relaxing cafe ideally placed in the centre of Lytham

There’s a fair few places that are ‘dog friendly’ in Lytham, But this place is by far the dog friendliest place me and my four legged companion have ever been. Having been a few times now, every visit has been a pleasure. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and create a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The coffee has always been delicious, and the food fresh and tasty. Unique to this cafe is the dog section of the menu- small cheap platters of doggy dishes such as chopped up sausage or a small amount of scrambled egg, or the popular ‘puppicino’. A true mark of a dog friendly cafe, something to make sure that ‘side of the table guilty glance’ is satiated. With indoor and outdoor seating, a nice range of drinks, snacks and treats, I look forward to making this place a regular visit every time I take a trip to Lytham. A definite gem along the Lytham high street.

If you are thinking of going to cafe nero next door, take a leap of faith and head into this small business, its a hint of luxury! Popped in for coffee and a cake and i am so glad i did! A large soya milk mocha and homemade white chocolate and passion fruit cake. The price was excellent considering everything was home made. The service was fabulous and the atmosphere was delightful. I will definitely be returning!

Visited the cafe on St Patrick's Day after seeing there menu for the day... The Irish stew was amazing very tasty and full of lamb and vegetables followed by the bailey's and toffee cheesecake, all celebrated with a baby guinness.... The staff are very friendly...

Went here yesterday i ordered the fishcakes. Not sure who the supplier is, but they were awful, just like a thin flat piece of soggyness. My friend ordered the scone and jam she said hers was delicious, so if i do go back i now know NOT to order the fish thing as it definitely wasn't a nice crispy deep fish cake.. sorry team central beach, i can only speak as i find.

Called for our fist time with our small dog and immediately made to feel very welcome by the owner. Very clean and spacious, only had coffee so can’t really comment on the food, but looked good. Would definitely like to return.

Had scones, the jam was a harteys pot and the cream was powdery, almost like it had been frozen. Walked in and was not acknowledged by staff, not the best experience.
