I would not return as the landlord is not a nice person. He also stinks of nicotene - you really don't have to get close and he'll ignore you and serve others if he so wishes, which he did to us. Read other reviews if you don't believe me. It is dirty, too. Full of history so worth the visit just for a look, then go elsewhere. My husband enjoyed his beer. I wasn't enamoured with mine. I know about the dog on the seat by the door. Lives by its history and real ales.

A welcome return to this bar we first spent time in when it opened all those years ago. But sadly it is as it as was back then some fifteen years or more long gone. It just seems to be dirty and run down. Worn out carpets and dirty fixtures. No sense of any sense of maintenance or renewal from the owners. A shame.

Meet a couple of former colleagues at Fifteens for drinks on a Friday afternoon. The intention was to have a couple there then try the other real ale venues in the area (not the Wetherspoons, though). Found a table and got our drinks. The beer was fantastic, the atmosphere equally good. We could easily hear ourselves having a natter. Very reasonably priced too. We decided the pub had everything we needed and we ditched plans to visit other pubs. If there could be any gripe, and I'm trying to find a gripe, it's that the toilets are a bit of a hike upstairs. However, one of our party has mobility problems and didn't have any bother using the accessible loos on the ground floor.

It's a beautiful pub but a bit too expensive for my liking. A double scotch was £8 which I think is taking the ####! This place was filled with very old men drinking and looking absolutely miserable. Sadly the staff seem to have also caught the unhappiness bug so you can actually feel the despair. The bar top was sticky and there was too much swearing by the staff to make me want to go back. Not a lady or child friendly kind of place.

Grand old bar on main street in st annes about half way up the hill. Fantastic old building that retains many of its original features including a vault (it’s an old bank) which gives it a good ambience for a few beers. Enough ale on to satisfy most tastes. As ever for this part of the world it’s very friendly with top service. Had a few ales and a game of darts with the missus. Dart board is really good and they have arrows behind the bar. Highly Recommended for a beer and a throw. 🍺 🍻 🎯

Brief first visit at 3pm. Nice interior, neither too fancy or shabby, loads of casks ales on selection, including at the time of writing this a cask cider from Sheppy's, also a cask lager from Titanic Brewery, amongst maybe six or more casks. Pleasant staff. Quiet when we went in, but a very relaxed atmospher nevertheless. Didn't have food (if it's available?) so can't comment on that.

We went in this bar today and I said to the landlord I don't recognize these ales please may I have a beer that's not to bitter I normally drink blond beers the landlord pulled a pint and said this one is ok it's hoppy which I normally enjoy , I also ordered a wine for my wife. We got to the table and as my wife was sitting down the table moved and she spilt the wine, I went back to the bar and said could I have a cloth the table moved and my wife spilt the wine the man gave me a cloth and he poured me another wine that he charged me for again, I thought ok probably half my fault and I paid for it. I then tasted my beer and it was awfully bitter,I went back to the barman ,/ landlord and I said the beer is very bitter and its cloudy please could you change it he said NO ! there is nothing wrong with it . So I just left it my wife drank her wine and we left. There is a banner in the pub saying fylde and wyre pub of the year 2022.We looked on line at fylde and wyre looks like they came 20 th out of 24 . I thought the place was dingey and musty and the landlord was rude and uninterested in good service. Won't be back! Nipped in today as we’ve been in the past didn’t realise it was under new management but we stayed anyway the food was horrific and over priced for standard of it .. my husband ordered a rump steak and couldn’t eat it was rubbery and bland but give the landlady her due she did knock it off the bill, I ordered schnitzel chicken I was served chicken Goujons the landlady said the chef hadn’t looked at the order proper I did try abit rather than cause a fuss but they wasn’t for me so the chef made me schnitzel it came out greasy I asked if it was pan fried as I could see the grease ..she said no so I placed it in a napkin to squeeze it and loads of grease came off so it put me off , found an hair in my sons gamon so he didn’t eat he’s and the pineapple was black underneath like burnt charcoal, the mushroom on he’s plate was dry as anything 😭 my daughter thought the chicken and leak pie was ok, we ate starters too chicken wings and ribs , was told there was no ribs but they will add extra wings we was ok with that they was lovely didn’t have any issues with those The halloumi fries was ok too , garlic mushrooms was ok just got abit sickly eating too many .. the landlady knew we wasn’t keen on the food asked if everything was ok I just answered not really but still paid as we didn’t want her to think we was just trying to not pay for food as the bill was £91 with drinks but also minusing the £20 steak , the land lady’s service was brilliant couldn’t really fault her just might need to look at the chefs work, lovely pub but definitely over priced .

The food here is really good, that bit different from standard cafe dishes, with really great flavours and lovely presentation. Unfortunately the service just lets it down. It's really slow and not very attentive; being shown to a table but having to wait 10 mins for a menu which you have to ask for, being left 15 mins with the menu to then be told 4 of the dishes are unavailable. It's a real shame, as the food is excellent, but it's about the overall experience. With a bit a staff training this could be improved

Being local this is one of favourite places to go, we are aware they are "dog friendly". What was so disappointing yesterday is that for a small place there were THREE dogs in it and not under the table (which is meant to the rule)... One retriever was really large and would never have been anywhere near to fitting under the table. As I'm extremely allergic we left. I was ill after what should have been a pleasant start to the day. As our nieces are scared stiff of dogs it's also off our places to go list when we have them visit. Aside from the unhygienic matter of dogs around food, there's the fear factor for some and allergy factor for others. I know people with dogs think they are owed a living and treat them like humans.... But they're not human , they still lick their asses, they smell and their hair does shed..... All in places people are paying to eat!!! We won't be back.
