The Black Sheep Tea Room in Fylde

Not a great breakfast unfortunately. They don’t do fried eggs (why????), sausage was seriously anemic, bacon was underdone and not very generous portion wise. Beans, tomatoes and black pudding were ok. We didn’t get the opportunity to raise the issue because there was no check on the meal quality until the bill was paid. Overall disappointing for a £24 breakfast for 2.

Staff were friendly and polite, a bit slow receiving food but I think this was due to some other customers ordering afternoon teas. Sadly, the one thing that was disappointing was the overwhelming smell of the kitchen in the upstairs seating area. It was quite smokey in there from the cooking from the kitchen (it looks like a small area and no door to the kitchen/seating area) all of our clothes smelt of cooking after we left. Maybe a better extraction system would help this?

First class food and service. Will definitely be returning. A lovely little hidden gem beautiful and clean.

My cousins paid a fortune for afternoon tea for six to be delivered for my mother's 90 th birthday, what can I say it was absolutely disgusting cheap supermarket ham and cheese In the sandwiches egg and really strong tasting tuna, The scones were dry counted three sultanas in two of them, lemon drizzle cake again from a supermarket. How dare you charge people for such terrible food, shame on you, best part of the meal were the two packets of crisps and the young man who delivered.

Lovely small Tea Room down a little ginnel away from the crowds. Super food, good prices and the staff are super. Stairs up to it are quite steep, but that makes it a little quieter. My wife had the Chicken and Bacon salad, it was a large portion, and she said it was delicious. Lots of bacon and chicken with a nice mixed salad. I just had a bacon brae and cranberry Panini that also came with a salad dressing and was also well packed and yummy. I managed to stop myself having a slice of cake, but they looked amazing! Next time perhaps.

What a gem of a find…. Look out for the black and white sign and you’ll find the small key way entrance. You’ll be glad you did. Welcoming staff and great environment. Good menu selection and can happily recommend the Californian Eggs! Always a good start to the day when you’re travelling the country watching your kids play football. Thank you to all the staff… keep it up.

A very nice cozy restaurant, with a beautiful interior on the second floor, pleasant, polite staff and very tasty English food! Be sure to try the English breakfast! This is delicious!

Can recommend the Tuna Melt Toastie and the Ham Salad. Choice of cakes also good. Also enjoyed the black currant cordials.

Such a change from the other cafes in Lytham; the menu is interesting, varied and very reasonably priced plus the staff are very welcoming and friendly. My new go to place to eat/drink from now!

Terrible. Went for lunch ordered the ploughman’s which came with one slice of processed bread 2 cheeses and ham not cheap at £8.95 . My sister had the Club sandwich which seemed ok . Could be so much more service very slow gad to ask twice where our food was it was not even busy . Sadly won’t be returning

Went for lunch while visiting Lytham St Annes, Lovely place on a corner to sit and have a rest, Staff are great and really make you welcome, food is fresh and well presented and nice coffee, this a busy tea room/cafe so be prepared to wait, not too long of course, worth a visit in lovely Lytham St Annes

We ordered poached eggs and when into them they were hard boiled. The other food was ok but nothing special. Definitely not worth a return visit. One positive was the coffee. Very nice.

We were coming over to Lytham and I scoured TA to find somewhere that made all the lovely fodder that I enjoy so much, such as avocado on sourdough/ eggs etc rather than just standard soup and sandwiches. I selected TBS as it fitted the bill, so we parked nearby and went it. We sat downstairs as upstairs was full but it was so cold that we ended up leaving. I don't want to sit in my coat when out for lunch, it's just not on. The menu looked great and it was very annoying that we couldn't comfortably stay. I've given 3 stars so as not to upset the ratings balance as I'm sure it would have been a great lunch and in the light of the last 3 years, I'm a much kinder reviewer than previously.

Not easy to find, but once you do, it's quite good. Not a lot of atmosphere, but pretty good food choices. Breakfast is hearty.

Lovely lunch here and so much choice on the menu. I must of changed my mind about 5 times. Good portion sizes and for a reasonable price. It's also dog friendly.

Tucked down a ginnel, don't miss this hidden gem. Lovely food at a reasonable price with generous servings and a freindly welcome. Will visit again when next in Lytham

The team at Black Sheep tearooms provided a fantastic takeaway afternoon tea for 19 very happy colleagues. The sandwiches and salad were delicious together with a selection of quiche and pork pies. Scones with jam and cream were beautifully presented with a selection of fabulous cakes and biscuits. An excellent selection to please everyone. Would 100% recommend. Love this place. The interior of this place gives a cosy feel, they have tables upstairs and downstairs also. Very good menu, divine cakes!. We had poached eggs on toast. Nice thick toasted bread, well presented and served in a timely manner. Coffee good quality. Food and drink reasonably priced. The lad that served us when very pleasant. Would recommend and we would definitely return to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

We have been coming here pretty much since it opened and look forward to every visit. We have never had anything but perfection and we have tried ALOT of the menu. Food is amazing and service is equally as amazing. We get looked after superbly by all the staff and the younger members of staff are a real credit and incredibly hard working. Nothing is too much for this wonderful place and i even got away with offending the owners son when I asked if he was his brother! Joking aside, its good to know the place is in equally as safe hands when the son is in charge. Thank you for all that you do for us and for always making us feel so welcome.

Really enjoyed our breakfast here. We were given seats outside in the sunshine and inside was full. To be honest we did well getting a table for 6 without booking as it was the last day of the Gov’s half price scheme. The full English brunch was accompanied with fancy milkshakes, teas and coffees. The cafe was busy but we were given our food within good time. All the staff were really friendly - one lady set off at pace to chase a customer who’d accidentally paid twice to refund his £10 then served us out of breath! My only regret was not having any cash to be able to leave a deserved tip. I will visit again and make sure this happens. A good cafe.
