Their cakes are delicious 🤩 The best in Darlo.

Lovely macaron, brownie and treacle tart. Everything looked delicious and presented really well.

It is my favorite lunch at work place, try their salad bowl and mini steak pies, absolutely phenomenal.

Lovely deli, a highlight of any trip to Darlington. The sandwiches are great and there is a great selection of scotch eggs, parties and desserts. I had the Bakewell tart this week, delicious.

Woah! damn nice food! I popped in here with two of my kids to grab a treat each as we were walking around doing our Christmas shopping, they were so good we felt guilty and went back to get something nice for mum and the youngest who had stayed at home. Photo of a salted caramel brownie attached.

They've done wonderful catering for a couple of our family events - brilliant selection of sandwiches, pies and quiches. Great variety and everything tasted wonderful!

Had afternoon tea from here for 8 people for my daughters 18th. Presentation was lovely so was the food.

Fresh flavoursome food, lots to choose from . Veg boxes to sandwiches pastys too the cakes .friendly staff and good prices

Christmas sausage roll was awesome! We also got some nice pasties, normal sausage rolls, some side salads and a scone - all were very good. Next time I'm back I intend trying the soup and some of the breads.

Far too overpriced, small portions and not the best quality! Not helped by the fact the staff couldn’t put a smile on their faces. Had high hopes but very let down.

Excellent baked potato and chili, good salad box options which we also enjoyed. Good takeaway food and plenty of options to choose from served by helpful staff.

Our business uses this lovely deli very often on a personal basis and for client catering. Food is always lovely and good quality and the staff are always cheery and helpful. A lovely gem in Darlington.

Friendly, busy place that I frequent when I'm working up in Darlington. A nice variety of freshly made food and cheerful staff.

They make a good cup of coffee or hot chocolate here and have a reasonable range of cakes. It's a little bit different from the likes of Starbucks, Costa and Caffe Nero.

Ah the Black Olive, where the assistants all use the same high pitched sing song patronising voice. 'can I help you' Where even after 8 years of going in 3-4 times a week ( when it was previously 'The Angels Share'), I am still not one of the 'in crowd' and am dismissed with a filthy stare and the 'sing song' 'Is there anything else' daring you to say you want something more! Over priced cakes which by Wednesday are stale but still top price. Ah yes, The Black Olive. Now firmly crossed off my list of lunchtime list.
