Curry King in Darlington

Best place for a curry in Darlington. The small things really matter, I collected my order and couldn’t help but notice how clean it was outside the shop, the side alley was spotless, which tells me they really care about their business and the community. Inside the shop it’s very clean and the aroma of the spices and dishes they’re preparing in the kitchen are just incredible. The lamb is so tender and the gravy is very rich, and delicious. The daal was perfect, soft and seasoned to perfection. Garlic naan, Cheese naan fresh and soft all the way through. They gave us popadoms and dips, which was a nice touch. Everything was pipping hot, and the containers filled to the brim. Lovely meal, will be returning, and highly recommended to others. Enjoy!

Called ahead to mention partner had light allergy to peanuts and asked if they can keep bags seperate. after initially accepting called back 20 minute later saying the korma may contain nuts and refused to serve any food - even though have went very regularly

Food was very salty and poor value.

Chips were black very bruised and lots of other protein included. Curry sauce tasteless

Accepted order for me to then wait 45 minutes before it is cancelled by the restaurant 5 minutes before arrival great!

As a good curry goes. One of the freshest, cleanest I've had.. chicken jalfrazi was colourful and tasty, the vegetable rice was literally to die for! And as a chef .. I didn't know a samosa could be filled with such great ingredients and so crispy and tasty!. Excellent service and a really polite delivery lady who brought me the food. Cannot recommend this place enough! Thankyou!

Best Indian takeaway in Darlington. Period.

Sadly this was the worst Indian takeaway I've ever had. The Prince Special had 3 small pieces of meat and the rest was just potato, sauce was bland. Naan breads were not cooked through so the centres were still raw dough. Bhajees had no flavour. I will not use again, New Years Eve meal is sadly ruined.

I can see why this restaurant is popular, food is delivered immediately, fresh, warm and for 20£ you can feed 3 or 4 people at once which is crazy. Only one thing that hurts is that for "Asian" food it seems to be quite tasteless, you can't feel any Asian spices, and the food it self could be at least tiny bit spicy as well. Overall feeling: "cheap and fast but tasteless" - good for group of hungry people.

Up in Darlington for work. Don't know the best curry houses in the area, ordered from Curry king hoping for a decent meal. Quick service, large portions and amazing food. Really tasty. , I had four meals from one single order including the free poppadoms. 5 stars from me . *****

They accidently gave me a curry with nuts in and I had an allergic reaction- Have not used in over a year since.

Very disappointed. Had a delivery last night. Onion bhaji and poppadoms were ok. The rest of the meal was dreadful. Went straight in the bin.

Always good food, often joke about them being hidden round the corner since it turns up so fast.

Ordered an hour and a half ago. told food would be 45 mins delivery. Rang 15 mins ago after it was 1 hr 15 mins.they said it was on its way. Rang again 10 mins later said was on its way. Still not arrived! We are very busy sorry!!! Why not give realistic delivery times then? Wonder what food will be like if so busy?? Think will not use again whatever food is like they are unreliable and lie that food is on it's way! Still waiting tis now 2 hrs since order placed. Rang them again. Spoke to owner Joe he will look after us next time we order and is sorry. Do we still want th food!!! We r hungry wish I had just cooked ! Will post this review once we recieve food that is if we do. I have called a total of three times now and still no food. Arrived at 20.30. Food was very good but will not use again as don't like bn lied too. Wud have collected if had bn told wud b so long.
