This hotel went above and beyond to help me and my husband this weekend. Our previous hotel let us down in a big way so we rang and they sorted everything out for us. The staff were fantastic, a complimentary upgrade, the bar & restaurant the food was some of the best we have ever had. We may have only stayed one night but this hotel made our trip! Thank you again for looking after us and being so generous it truly meant alot for our wedding anniversary weekend away.

Compliments to the chef! Came for the location (which was awesome), stayed for the food. Food was amazing, menu well thought out and the service in the entire hotel was 5 star. Complimentary sweets and sodas was the cherry on top! Highly recommend a stay there if you are in or near Bath.

A fantastic little gem! Our stay at The Bird, Bath (such a great name!) was short, but such a delight. The reception team were on hand to make sure that everything was as expected, and to their high standards. The room was cosy, but also more than big enough - the wet room bathroom was unusual but such a great use of space, and all very tidy and clean. The room itself - gorgeous! High ceilings, and tasteful decor meant it felt like a proper boutique hotel. Even with a front facing room, there wasn't much traffic noise at night. Little treats such as the 'snack pantry' were great - I mean, who can say no to complimentary packets of Rainbow Drops, and cans of Coca Cola Zero?? We should've had the fresh fruit, but sweets are always more desirable, right? In the restaurant, the team were fantastic. Great food, hospitality, and lovely surroundings. If you go in summer 2024, then definitely try out the new cocktail - Limoncello Sour - delicious!

A 10 minute walk from the Abbey and centre of town, this hotel is absolutely stunning. The staff were amazing from start to finish, showing us round, giving us drink recommendations at the bar, and being super lovely to our dog. The room was perfect, and the additions of the amazing rainshower, pod coffee machine, and Dyson hair dryer really made it! They offer so many extras for any little.things you might need and have a free sweet/soft drink section that you can help yourself from which is a lovely touch (this also includes fresh fruit for those who wish to be more healthy). The decor throughout was lovely, especially in the bar/restaurant area. Breakfast was incredible on both days, and we are gutted that we missed out on dinner, so will just have to book again! Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back!

The hotel location is amazing and in a very quiet zone. The rooms are so comfortable, and the bed is lush! It's a very clean place, and the reception team is very supportive and helpful. We were recommended to eat at the architect, and it was amazing! The breakfast was also incredible, with smoked salmon croissants and coffee that were delightful. Great parking and so many spots to ensure your car is safe, making you feel like royalty!

Very up together boutique hotel with an amazing bar and restaurant. The rooms are well appointed and "cosy" is a good description. But then, we only sleep in there 🤭 Car park too, not cheap but reasonable for Bath. Easy walk into the city centre so location is ideal

Our room faced the main road and the traffic was very loud all night. Even sleeping with earplugs, the loud traffic noise kept us awake. Also, the heating in our room didn’t work and we were very cold in the evening and morning. Although we were offered an additional duvet, there was no free standing space heater available and the hotel didn’t offer us any compensation for this inconvenience. We won’t be coming back.

didn’t actually stay here, but my friend’s car broke down just opposite the hotel, and the staff were so so lovely and supportive; they let my friend’s mum park in their car park, printed us a sign to put in the car to let people know we’d broken down, and even gave us free tea and coffee while we waited for the breakdown people to show up. thanks so much!!

Not a stay, but just a wonderful ad hoc experience. My daughter broke down close by, and I had to come to rescue her. She had been repeatedly verbally abused by bus drivers, as her car had been kindly pushed into a bus bay (so as not to block a nearby roundabout). Knowing The Bird was nearby, I called ahead and asked if they wouldn't mind if I parked in one of their parking bays in the hotel car park to avoid further issue, whilst I wait with my young daughter for the breakdown service. The lady on Reception was delightful and happily agreed. I shared that my daughter was quite upset and stressed. Whilst I drove to her, the hotel staff had gone to check on her and provided her with a printed sign saying her car was broken down to avoid further abuse! When I arrived, the kind lady provided complimentary tea/coffee in takeaway cups for my daughter and I whilst we waited for the breakdown service. They went above and beyond and made a difficult, stressful situation more bearable. If this is how they treat complete strangers, imagine how wonderful a stay here would be. I can not thank them enough, and I thoroughly recommend this beautiful and welcoming hotel.

Only one thing I can say. FANTASTIC. Lovely hotel with nice little free extras free cold drinks and sweets if you feel like. The staff cant do enough for you. Breakfast was very nice. A lovely touch on checking out is that you are given bottles of water and really tasty cookies as you leave. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Had an overnight stay here with my husband and we both were really delighted with the hotel. Easy to find and good parking. Every member of staff were extremely friendly, polite and so accommodating. The hotel is spotless throughout with so many thoughtful little touches. Our room was at the back of the hotel with fabulous views of the cathedral especially at sunset. The room was immaculate not a speck of dust anywhere, extremely comfortable bed with lots of pillows and lovely big fluffy bath towels. We had our evening meal here and again we couldn’t fault the service or the food, again the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable about the food served and it was delicious. Unfortunately we can’t comment on breakfast as we had to leave extremely early next morning due to a family emergency. So will definitely visit and stay again 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

The food is really incredible here, and very unique. I’m pretty sure anything on the menu will be great, and all dishes are full of flavor and spice. They place was pretty empty on a Monday night although they kept telling people they were holding tables for their reservations. The Black Pork dish was one of the best South Asian dishes I’ve ever had and very unique to experience pork with this flavor profile as it’s not very common on Southern Asian menus. Goat and potatoes, Dahl, fried paneer cheese in sauce, and the thing with meat and shredded roti were all hits. Interestingly the hoppers that they really hype up were the only things I personally wouldn’t get again, but it’s worth a try if you’ve never had it. The food is served as a small plate sharing menu. They say that 3-4 is the suggested amounts of plates per person although I think 3 is more than enough per person IMO. We didn’t get to try the drinks menu but they have some great deals if you buy two drinks of the same category.

This was truly a wonderful experience! The staff were super friendly and helpful with us deciding what to eat. We chose to share 5 small plates between 2 of us, and they did not disappoint! The Tandoori Broccoli was absolutely delicious, along with the Paneer Tikka. So tasty with every mouthful! I also had a Christmas special cocktail : Drunken Mango Lassi… it was a taste sensation and went perfectly with our meal. It should be a permanent cocktail on the menu!

This restaurant in Bath is very authentic with the whole place decked out in Thai bits and bobs on the walls ceiling & everywhere you look! An open kitchen produces wonderful tasty food from the greater Thai region. Service was prompt & the menu simple to navigate. We had the full sharer for three. The dishes were delicious & plentiful & what we didn’t eat my daughter had it put up 4a takeaway. A great place to eat in my opinion
