I ordered to collect on Uber eats, and some timing glitch on the meant I turned up 35 mins early. The guys there saw I'd be screwed over a little and were able to get me my meal within 10 mins. Massively appreciated effort that they really didn't have to go to, so thank you. Sublime food as always

Ordered the smokey bacon bbq double with waffle fries and a side of truffle chicken strips. After ordering was given a buzzer to let me know when the food was ready and i can go collect it myself. The burger itself was heavy, but as expected, though a little too much on the greasy side. Fingers were dripping in oil just holding the burger. The strips were good, cooked well and waffle fries were decent.

Visiting from Minnesota, US; we looked online and Nowhere was close to our B&B and had good reviews. We highly recommend this place. The gentleman behind the counter was so helpful and easy to talk to. He gave us advice on meal choices and talked about living in England giving us advice and a glimpse into the pleasant life of locals. The burgers were the very best we could ever remember! Such a nice find. Highly recommend!!

Ordered for delivery yesterday, was so good I had to order again today! Perfectly cooked both times, tender and moist, but didn’t go soggy. Would beat most burgers in Bristol.

The staff here are some of the rudest I’ve ever encountered. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was a burden to them. They barely acknowledged me at the counter, and when they finally took my order, they were short, dismissive, and had a horrible attitude. To make matters worse, they messed up my order, and when I politely pointed it out, the staff rolled their eyes and acted like it was my fault. Unprofessional & unacceptable. The food wasn't worth the terrible customer service.

Really weird experience, not welcoming at all. The guy behind the bar served his friend before us even though we arrived first and were clearly waiting longer. When the food was ready he walked from the bar (where our food was ready to go) to our table tell us that it was ready and that we need to collect it ourselves and then walked back to the same spot, I feel like in that time he could have just bought the food to our table? The food was nice enough but the service really ruined the experience and the place seemed a bit unclean. Also, £8.50 for three tiny tenders is a bit steep. Won’t be going back

Just popped into Nowhere as we were passing on the way back from Bath city centre and ended up getting pulled into a great karaoke evening and staying until well into the morning. Had an amazing time as the place was buzzing!

Perfect smash burger with a crunchy curly fries. Highly recommended. The only issue was the ventilation system inside which wasn't working properly and the smell of hot oil was everywhere.

Visited yesterday for a date night from bristol Hands down one of the best tasting burgers iv had (knocked spots off the "top smashed burgers" company) right amount of texture/condiment level and the oreo shake was to die for. Will 100% be back to try a chicken and some more of those tasty curly fries Presentation and service were spot on

Food was great as always. Had to wait 1.5 hours for food. Which in fairness was told would be an hour wait. But they should definitely be doing something about the wait like maybe employ another chef??

Excellent burgers but not a pleasant dine-in experience. Food took around 40 minutes to arrive, despite the pub being nearly empty – lack of vibe also made the booming, questionable music all the more insufferable. Bar staff seemed disengaged.

When is it going to change? I am baffled at how many people have to write reviews saying that the staff are rude for them to consider trying to address the issue? It has been years. I’ve been to Magu quite a few times now because the burgers are the best but I’m beginning to think it’s no longer worth it, I’m used to them being dismissive and often rude but my most recent visit was rather infuriating. I made an order for two burgers online for collection and was told they would be ready to takeout in 45 minutes. I arrived on time and was told they’ll be an extra 10 minutes. I then waited an additional 45 minutes, so 90 minutes for 2 burgers and some fries. During the time I was there, no one apologised or came to update me on my order. It wasn’t particularly busy, and for the majority of the time I was the only person waiting near the bar. I have worked in hospitality for years and have ran a restaurant, a degree of urgency is required when you have customers waiting. I could see the chef through the window, just not really doing anything. I appreciate it can be stressful, and sometimes things go wrong, but I found it difficult to sympathise when the place was fairly quiet and no one seems to be running around trying to get things done. I saw the chef stop cooking but nothing happened so I asked for an update, and without an apology he said he’ll check (asked for the name of the order, again), walked off, and came back with my order, which was missing the milkshakes I had ordered. When this was pointed out he just went “oh yeah what flavour do you want”. I said to the staff I appreciate the job can sometimes be stressful but an apology would be appreciated. He said “yeah I apologise” as he walked away. Somehow half of the burger was cold, and all of the fries were cold, and too expensive. £6.50 is also too much for a milkshake, which don’t seem to be as good as they were at the old location. Despite this, the food is great, I do recommend the flying lotus but I do not understand how the service has been this bad for this long. They make you feel like an inconvenience.

Regularly order from here and the burgers are incredible. Best burger in bath by far. Used to collect from moorland road and the customer service was great, but since they've relocated to 'nowhere' bar the customer service is awful and rude. They don't have an allocated area for collecting orders so you have to queue at the bar with lots of rowdy drunk people which isn't ideal when you just want to quickly nip in and collect your food order. The staff are very blunt and don't really say hello. Then just slam it down in front of you and walk off. Not sure if it's because they are busy but it's a real shame to let the delicious burger down with terrible service. They almost make you feel like you are an inconvenience. Poor form.

First time visiting last night. Mostly I went for the burger which was really good, but also the pub was quality. A proper hidden gem in bath not far from the station. Get down and enjoy It.

Top tier burgers, staff are always friendly and welcoming and good drink selection. I come here from Chippenham for my burger fix and it's well worth the journey. The flying lotus works so well

Hard hitter. I've tried them all, and without a doubt this is the best burger in Bath. Top 5 burgers I've had in my life. Close to perfect. The loaded fries were also some of the nicest I've tried, with the best cheese sauce I've ever tasted. The regular fries were also very well done. The price was fantastic for the quality of the food, this is the sort of burger I would expect to pay more for. However I unfortunately can't disagree with the complaints regarding waiting times, customers are given a 15 minute window to collect their burgers which is definitely inconvenient, and not something I've experienced anywhere else. However, to make matters worse, we received our food roughly 20-25 minutes after this time meaning if we arrived at the start of the time slot, we would have been waiting for roughly 35-40 minutes for two burgers. I have to say the food was absolutely worth the wait but this seems so strange for a burger restaurant. As someone travelling from a different town, it makes it very awkward to collect. So has to be mentioned. Ultimately, the burgers more than made up for any negative I could mention about the lateness so don't let that put you off, I'm sure we were just unlucky. The staff were excellent in responding to previous issues we had and in their defence it did seem quite busy for the time of day. I ate with a friend who considers himself a burger veteran and has tried some of the best burgers across Europe and for him it was 10/10. Don't get it mistaken, these are high class burgers. We'll be coming here again regularly, and I'd strongly recommend it to anyone.

Would definitely go there again , food was soooo tasty , I want to try everything on the menu , vibrant and happy go lucky pub, dog friendly although music might a bit loud for them. Would recommend.

Great burger. Wait time was 65 minutes from ordering. Ordered online for collection as the queue was quite long and didn’t have long on parking so thought we’d collect and eat in the car. When ordering it the website said a 20-35 minute wait, one of the staff said it would be a further 15 minutes. That passed and when it got to just over an hour, I said I’d been waiting for over an hour to find it had been sat on the collection window, for how long? Who knows.

Filth. Best burger I've ever had. 10/10

Honestly. The biscoff burger is banging. We travelled from Brighton for the markets and saw the biscoff burger trending so had to have it. Staff were super friendly and the food was out of this world. 10/10 would recommend.

Atmosphere is good. Food was okay but overall they seemed to not care about severe food allergies that could kill people. For a place that handles and serves food to customers, you should probably brush up on Natashas Law before you find yourself in hot water.

Nice atmosphere and the burgers were amazing! Would definitely eat here again. Not a huge bar/restaurant but there was plenty of tables. Pool tables here aswell

The food was good, but I had my evening completely ruined because it took them 52 minutes to prepare 3 burgers. I do understand being busy, but I can't excuse not informing customers that waiting times can be long - particularly in a fast food restaurant. I would have made other arrangements and would've been able to say goodbye to my friends before catching the train. Also, to the owner who kept lying about the wait and repeating "I apologised", I want to say that apologies aren't enough. If a customer is complaining and has good reasons to do so, at the very least be honest and offer a refund. Not going back.

Good food, but very long wait. We were surrounded by angry customers but the owner didn't bother informing us that waiting times would be long, didn't offer a refund, was defensive and helpless and kept lying about the estimated time of delivery. They had just two people in the kitchen and wouldn't slow down the delivery orders. I asked twice how long it would take and I was told both times my order was next: I waited 52 minutes for 3 burgers and I asked after 20 minutes and 40 minutes from placing my order. My evening was ruined as I didn't get to say goodbye to my friends before catching my train. Not going back and wouldn't recommend.

Awesome tasting food caters for all taste buds, great service, atmosphere if awesome with a good theme of a smash burger/bar. My favourite burger bar, always tempted back when in need of great food!

No idea how you're supposed to order food in this place. Maybe their app? Second time I've been in. No one serving, staff milling around. Ignored and left.

My partner and I have been fairly regular customers of another establishment not far way from Magu which we've always enjoyed and a great benchmark for us. Nice little bar, great burgers and polite banter from the owner or locals. When we entered we found MAGU were only serving orders via Deliveroo etc (didn't realise they were closed to the public that day which seems odd, but hey ho) but said it was fine for us to sit. Reading some of the reviews below its sad to read of the bad or blunt service. We met Dave who is a character that may irk but we found him to be welcoming and very enthusiastic as we engaged with him about the food and business. If we just sat there, who knows, it could have felt a bit blunt like people have written. The food was outstanding in my opinion, the passionate conversation about what makes a great burger was fun and informative. Definitely worth a visit if you like your burgers and guaranteed to beat any chain restaurant equivalent!

Staff are extremely rude, no welcome as you come in the store and when asked if my order is ready the cook replied no very bluntly…. When he did bring the order out he said “here” and put it on the counter…. Ordered chicken skin fries at £6 and they gave me normal fries…. When I questioned this they said they didn’t have them in stock… but yet still charged me the higher price and regret to tell me this until I questioned it… burger was greasy and nothing special. Not even a thank you or a goodbye… I won’t be returning, over priced, rude and zero customer service.

Two burgers took nearly an hour to arrive. Don't bother eating in. They weren't even that bothered by how long they took. They also knew they had a lot of orders but at no point thought to inform us of the delay.

The food was ok, good smashed burger and a lot of fries. But the customer service was frankly awful. No greeting, barely an acknowledgement while waiting, then the food just dumped in front of me with a grunt. Maybe just a bad night? Not according to all the other reviews saying the same thing. Go to Burgers and Barrels instead, better food and much much better service.

Really tasty burgers. Order on line and collect. People in front of us were given an hour wait.

Underwhelming. Ordered via Uber: two smash and grab burgers, fries and two sodas as part of a deal. No sodas on arrival. The burgers were underwhelming to say the least: just some cheese and the patties, no sauce or pickle, bland and greasy. Waited an hour to receive this as well. Had Magu before, but don’t think I’m gonna bother again.

The food took a crazy amount of time from ordering to being ready - nearly an hour, to the point we had to switch from eating in to taking out - so will in future order online first. The food was totally worth the wait, the burgers were amazing. Definitely one to get delivered next time though.

Customer service is none existent. Waited 10 mins just to place my order with barely any acknowledgement from the owner/ staff member who took it. It was busy so waited another 30 mins to receive my takeaway burger, not really an issue but the person simply gave it to me without saying thank you as if I’ve just asked him for a massive favour to serve me a burger I waited a considerable amount of time for. I can’t possibly recommend this place to anyone. On the plus side, my mum devoured her burger but I’d never come back.

Honestly the rudest 2 people I’ve ever met! I come in to an empty restaurant I greet the 2 men and get a grunt back one says 2 mins so I took a seat. 5mins or so went past owners walk past me 2 times once to get himself a can of coke then 2 more people came in and led over the till . He then chose to serve them instead of me? So I walked out ! Last time we came to this restaurant he was very rude and snappy but we thought maybe a bad day. Now we know your just an arrogant person

Lovely place and the burgers were very good, the only disappointment is if your going to charge £3.50 or £4.50 for French fries and curly fries at-least make sure there fried fresh? Ours were very cold which was highly disappointing especially considering the cost, I don’t have an issue paying any amount of money for food however I expect it to come correct

Very rude service! Felt like I was bothering them by asking to sit in to eat. We were waiting for ages for our burger only to then realise they were shouting our name at the bar and we had to go collect it ourselves? No table service. Only accepting cash when you eat in.. obviously no one really carries cash anymore so this was a little odd. Also charged 50p to have some ketchup whilst eating in.

I'd have a great review if it wasn't for the service, each time I've been they've not said a word to me and just looked at me funny, almost as if they're annoyed I've done business with them, always very uncomfortable going in there. Burger is great though, I had the lotus burger the second time and it was amazing, I've only tried one other burger which was nice but i dont remember it being as good as the lotus which I've ordered every time since. They're very greasy, which isn't a bad thing, if it's the type of food you're after. If you can put up with the service it's worth it but definitely ruins the experience even if you're just picking up a takeaway. Edit: I had another flying lotus burger and it was incredible so I've added another star, but just smile guys!

Great burgers but the two blokes in there are rude.

The burgers are good, but not sure it's worth it for the experience of dealing with them. You're kept waiting for minimum 15 mins, usually longer and it's a bit like they're doing you a huge favour - it's cooking a burger guys, you're not uncovering the lost city of atlantis. Few things wrong with each order, a hair in one burger (meh) and the last time we ordered it was a 40 min wait and the wrong drink. and when I emailed to let them know I heard nothing back. Like i say, the burgers are good, but not *that* good.

Ace burgers, really well cooked - as are the fries. They do wicked chicken skin fries which are worth a visit for them alone. Also they serve beers.

We have regularly ordered food from MAGU over the last few months. Can say they are consistently great. Probably best burgers in Bath. My husband has a beef burger and always loves them. I go for the veggie plant patty which is the best veggie burger I’ve had. They stay together really well and aren’t sloppy. Very very tasty.

Great fries, amazing burgers! Only issue is they ran out of the drink I ordered on the app, but had a suitable replacement. Would definitely order from here again. Nice and close to the hospital if you're looking for decent food in between visits. 👍👌

Rude staff, bad service, and an hour wait for a greasy burger, next time I will get a fish and chips across the road or a curry a few doors down. Better still McDonald's from Ubereats for half the price.

One of the best burgers in town for sure. Consistent quality since day one, I've visited them many times. Bit disappointed or rather surprised with an extra charge for having food in, but I guess they must control the crowd due to the limited spaces there. Overall, if you're Burger Lover it's very good place to visit and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. 5⭐ for food quality. Update 😉 Nearly year after I've visited them for the first time, still great food 👍 Only customer service is something needs reviewing... atmosphere there isn't very pleasant even when you just pop in to pick up your take away food. It's not the first time.ive been there this year and we feel sometimes that they're upset that we visited... 🤔 That's nevertheless easy to fix as the food is outstanding 👌

I can honestly say this is the best burger I’ve ever had. The burgers aren’t greasy like a five guys and other burger places in Bath. They are packed with flavour and they never fall apart. Amazing!! Oh and the rosemary and chicken skin fries are AMAZING!! Looking forward to returning. 🤤

Me and the wife love the burgers, best we've ever had (better than any other in Bath by miles). Keep an eye out for the specials they are superb with the combination of flavours. The Alcoholic milkshakes and slushys are fantastic and a nice add for the adults. Be prepared to wait for your food as it gets busy, it can be up to 40 mins on very busy days, but trust me the flavour sensation of your first bite is worth that wait.

Tiny burgers tasty tho. Not a fan of the loud music and night club atmosphere but it's understanding the owner shares his passion for food and music. I know he used to be a dj, very nice guy too. The place is usually packed with groups of lads in the evenings...

Extremely disappointed the burgers came cold to then get a call from my 2 friends of colour saying they saw the magu driver just up my road and he accused them of stealing his phone the driver had no evidence of this he just saw them and decided they stole his phone and he even approached them to take it and then realised he had no proof just saw two guys of colour and figured you probably stole my phone considering the stuff going on around the world right now it's really not a good look all this and I repeat food was cold and definitely not worth the money DO BETTER!!! And have a word with that driver

Very tasty burger and milkshakes

Myself and my boyfriend love the food here, we have tried multiple different burger places and we have found Magu’s to be the best so far. HOWEVER, the customer service could be improved upon. It isn’t exactly service with a smile, actually thinking about it in the 3-4 times I have been to Magu’s. The only time I have seen the him smile is when my order was an hour late and he was asking me if my food was okay.... Also, the waiting time is too long, when ordering for collection within the time frame you still have to wait a good 10-20 minutes afterwards. Other than that, keep up with the good food :-)

Superb burger joint. The owner seems like a nice chap, the kitchen is open and the burgers are great.

Small warning the menu outside on the door isn’t representative of what they actually have on offer on the menus inside and online via their app. Ordered the vegan burger and the mini all American smash. The vegan burger was very good, probably one of the best ones I’ve had to date. However, while the mini all American smash was good, it wasn’t really worth thr price when you can get the same from Burger King in the form of a Whopper for half the price. Service was okay, but nothing to write home about.

A great burger diner for takeaway or eat in. So lucky to have it as a local. Kids loved the single patty burgers. Halloumi fries were delicious too. Recommended.
