Very good food and service, thank you!

Had a delicious lamb balti with pilau rice and great naan. The guy who served me was lovely and I thought the price was spot on for the portions which were decent! Will definitely order again!

The Bengal Bay is a great addition to Shoreham. An authentic great tasting and well presented food. No longer do we have to put up with brown anonymous goop served by its competitors. The menu also helpfully and clearly calls out different dietary considerations such a dairy, gluten etc.

First time on recommendation. Ordered a variety of dishes, very helpful when ordering by phone and got a call when ready to collect. However at least 3 different dishes had same red sauce and little difference if any in flavour. Personally prefer Calcutta 16.

I ordered on a very busy Friday, despite having a slight delay in the food arriving, it was hot and delicious. The service is very attentive and helpful. Highly recommended. Good vegan options too.

Following reviews decided to try and wasn’t disappointed, food well cooked and their own unique flavours. Going back tonight to try another dish.

Hands down the best Indian takeaway in Shoreham and probably one of the best I’ve ever had. You can tell the food is of a high quality and there’s plenty of it! Because my starter wasn’t available they gave me a free main; so generous! It was amazing as well - the fish bhuna - so good - I will definitely be ordering it and again. My husband is veggie and there were loads of options for him. We loved it ! Great work guys 😊

Another lovely takeaway from the Bengal Bay last night. We’ve eaten from here a number of times now and the food is of a consistently high quality, very tasty, and the portions are generous too. Whilst we were sad to see the Yellow River (the Chinese takeaway that was there before) go, we are happy that the friendly Bengal Bay team have come along in their place.

Great meals from Bengal Bay. Had lamb Naga - good large chunks of lamb. I like it hot so they supplied extra chopped fresh chilli. Portions were generous. Very friendly & helpful. Recommended.

A very good meal as usual, full of flavour, and when asked if one of the dishes could be extra hot…it was. The price for the quality is reasonable. A meal for six and everyone was extremely happy, which is also why it is our favourite. If your here on holiday this Easter and not sure where to get your takeaway, then look no further

Very disappointed with this curry place ,orderd a delivery phone through at 7pm arrived at 9.30pm .After loads of calls without an explanation it finally turned up the drive had to phone as he was lost .I was told by the shop to pay with card as it was very busy and the driver carried a card machine ,when he arrived no card machine so had to find cash .chicken pasanda was nice large bits of chicken but it was warm ,lamb madras lovely flavour but meat abit dry and chewy ,cold garlic nan breads and cold chips . We had not had a curry for over a year and was so looking forward to it ,but unfortunately will no go back again .The reviews were so good .

Brilliant. The best by far for many miles around. Fresh, generous, well prepared with high quality ingredients. Their onion bhajia is incredible too! Highly recommended - worth the extra (and most dishes include a pilau rice automatically)

Best Chicken Korai ever!!! every dish was full of flavour. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and portion sizes. Really friendly staff and my food was ready within 30 mins of placing the order. Thanks guys, I will definitely be back to try your recommendations :)

First time we have used the Bengal bay and we were very impressed, the chicken tikka vindaloo and the chicken tikka pathia had lots of flavour and the chicken was 10 out of 10....if it stays like this we will be regular customers. Please do not change your chicken/ ingredients as many other curry shops do after a few orders.

When you move to a new place it's a rite of passage to find a good local curry house. After three years I had almost given up hope until noticing this place. Well the search is over, amazingly rich and tasty food, generous helpings and friendly staff.

So after spending 2 days being violently ill from a local curry house in Shoreham, whom I'm not going to name just yet.A lot of people have mentioned bengal bay to me and highly recommended it to me. We ordered for the first time this evening and so far so good. Food was very tasty and plenty of it and well deserved of a five star review. I just hope they continue serving up really flavoursome and authentic indian food and value their regular customers,unlike calcutta 16 who seem to put profit over quality of food and health of their customers. I look forward to ordering from you again very soon.

We ordered via the website and were pleased to find that our food was ready at the exact time promised. The portion sizes were very generous, of a decent spice level and everything was generally very tasty - better than some other local curry restaurants. Prices are reasonable. Only thing which could have made our meal better was an onion salad with the starter. We will definitely be returning!

Ordered a takeaway shortly after The Bengal Bay opened. The balti was thick and didn't have a great flavour (left over from the day before?), the naan bread was dry (definitely not freshly cooked) although the Tarka Dhal was good and the onion bhajis delicious. In summary, average at best and a place I think I'll avoid in the future.

When I saw so many 5 star reviews for such a new takeaway, I was wary that it may be a case of getting your mates to write reviews. I WAS WRONG. I have never eaten a takeaway so quietly, as I didn't want to jump to any conclusions before I had tasted everything I had ordered. THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT I haven't travelled the far corners of South Asia, so can't back up any previous comments of this being authentic, that I don't care about. What I care about is clearly fresh ingredients and flavour, it was great and am so happy for this to be at the end of the road. The highlights were:
- Sag Paneer, this is different to most as it is not chunks of paneer and is more a smooth creamy mix, it’s delightful.
- Onion Bhaji, this was so crunchy and not greasy which we loved. - It tasting as good two days later for lunch leftovers. If you can take what I hope to be constructive criticism, I would say: - The Dal could have been less salty and a bit more flavoursome, but that is being incredibly picky to find fault. - On a personal note it would be great to see a Veggie friendly Tandoori dish like a Paneer (chunks) for the veggies to experience the Tandoor oven flavour. Or something like a cauliflower, but again, that’s being picky and there are plenty of veggie dishes for me to get through.

When I ordered the food I was told I would get a discount, however when I got there this was no longer the case. The lady who served me wasn’t friendly. Food was bland and to top it off there was a hair in my food! Id upload a photo but google doesn’t let me AVOID

We are not from the area but come to visit every year, we have previously tried all the curry houses in shoreham by sea and was very disappointed. We was reluctant to order from you you guys but we was persuaded by the possitive reviews and placed a order, we were pleasantly suprised with our order as the food was yummy and well flavoured! Very happy with our order we will ordering again when down here next! :)

Writing on behalf The One and Only Simon Spalding. We had 5 dinners from Bengal Bay this evening. The tandoori chicken and lamb was a solid 5/5. The chicken tikka masala had an incredible flavour that even a vegetarian would turn for. The onion bhajis were large but slightly on the dry side. Popadoms were delicious and obviously been cooked in nice, clean oil. Chicken Dansak was moist with lovely chicken - I’d say “OK” (4/5). Chicken Patai - slightly on the bland side, but lovely tender chicken. Overall we had a lovely evening, and enjoyed our first (and not the last) take away from the Bengal Bay.

Where to begin! What an absolute gold mine this place is! Best Indian I’ve had in a long time and by making it differently to most other places in the area it really shows in their quality! Would recommend to anyone! Lovely staff and excellent cooks!

I’d almost given up on Indian takeaways as they’d become increasingly poor no matter where I tried. This place is incredible. We’ve had 3 takeaways so far and every dish has been delicious. Not only the best Indian takeaway in Shoreham, but the best in the whole Brighton and hove area in my opinion. Lovely people too, nothing is too much trouble. So happy Bengal Bay has arrived!

Just had our first takeaway and it was delicious! Far surpassed our expectations; it’s not your average takeaway - unique dishes, really well executed and good value too. Delighted to have a decent Indian in Shoreham!

Banging food. The food in this amazing takeaway probably is the most sensational bengal and Indian I have ever tasted since my travels to south Asia and moving to Shoreham. Everybody should try these dishes, especially the exclusive dishes. You won’t be disappointed!

Wow. Game changer. Been looking for a new curry house as all the others seem to taste the same overly sweet . Absolutely loved every bite. Best cheesey garlic naan bread ever. Poperdoms so crispy. The meat was juciy and tender. Will be ordering again very soon. Delivery time was spot on .

Amazing indian food! We tried this place for the first time und were just stunned by its rich, mouth-absorbing taste. We had the Chilli Masala and the Rajeshwari, both veggi, both were really good, but especially the chilli masala blew us away! We ordered and collected, got 10% discount, rice was included in main dishes, food was quickly ready. We will definitely come again

Just had our first meal from this new Shoreham Indian, and I absolutely love it with passion. Aged 52, i have lived in Birmingham and India and grown to become critical on quality of Indian restaurants in this country. The last one in Shoreham I truly loved was Mahee, Ferry Road (now gone). This one is even better and I highly recommend, try it once and I bet you will be a regular. I certainly will be a regular from now on. Derek

Delicious! Hands down the best Indian takeaway for absolutely miles. I come from the Midlands and have struggled to find anywhere with decent Indian food in the whole of Sussex but Bengal Bay is finally somewhere to go for quality and authentic food. Now they need to open a sit In restaurant, it would be a huge success (and I’d have a table every Friday).

So pleased to finally have a 'proper' Indian takeaway that serves real Indian food - go to the 'exclusive mains' and you will be spoilt for choice. As a non-meat eater it's a real find.

Tried it tonight , and booked online which was very easy , fair price very good quality meal meal well happy … give it a try , if they can keep this standard up they will never go short of customers .

Few teething problems in delivery but Oh My God, Shoreham has a new fantastic addition to it’s gastronomic establishments! Easily the best South Asian food I have had the pleasure to eat since leaving East London over twenty years ago! Beautifully spiced tasty food AT LAST!! What is it with Sussex South Asian Restaurants that consistently produce bland tasteless food for soft Western tastebuds? THIS is REAL COOKING! Congratulations Bengal Bay you have completely nailed it. Don’t change anything. Great portion size, NOT oily & the spice! Oh the spice!!! If I could give it ten stars I would (& no I’m not on the payroll 😁👍🏻⚓️)

I was planning on taking an evening stroll to tesco, but fell in the door to here instead. God I'm happy I did. I order the chicken korma, garlic rice, mushroom bhaji, garlic naan and it was delicious! The chicken just fell apart was really succulent. Big chunks of chicken aswell. The mushroom bhaji was my favourite part though, exactly how it was described on the menu, super flavourful. The portions are good sizes not to big not to small. The garlic naan was really fluffy and light! Overall would 100% recommend. They also gave me a couple of poppadoms, the mint yoghurt is to die for! Thank you 😊

We had vegetable curry and it came with rice FREE! Plus we got 10% discount for collecting it ourselves. Very tasty and authentic meal - we really enjoyed it. We will be using The Bengal Bay again! Unfortunately everything supplied in plastic, which is a pity.

Overall presentation was great. Flavours were very good. I really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka. I'd be interested to try a Masala (I think there was one in the starters). I would also like to see a bit more curry sauce on the curry chips. The sauce we had was very tasty, but there wasn't alot of it to cover all the chips. Also, one of the prawns still had a shell on it, which was unexpected. Other than that, thumbs up from me.

I come from the North and I've struggled to find as good quality Indian food down south. However, this is REALLY good quality food. So pleased I found it. Highly reccomend. One happy customer!!!
