Shoreham Fish Bar in Adur

Best fish and chip shop ive had since i was a child. No nasty tasting oil, like some places. Fish was really fresh, very large portions. and not greasy. i reaaly recommend this place.

although the delivery was late, it was wrapped well and was still hot!! Very good fish and chips!!

I don't normally leave reviews but I felt this time I should. first time getting a chippy down here since leaving London and I would of thought being a seaside delicacy it would be to a much higher standard. oh i was soo wrong.. as greasy the cods were the they were cold to the touch and the batter was like plaster, the chips were dry and cold and missing salt and vinegar. but the real insult was the mushy peas. liturly tasted like stale water with chunks of mush in it. really disappointed

The fish was lovely - very light batter, which meant one could taste the fish and the batter almost melted in the mouth. I would recommend this shop. I always order a small chips - lord knows what size the large is as there is always enogh for 2 - 3

Normally the food is fantastic with a very quick delivery, I understand you’re busy but this food was Luke warm and sausages were like rubber .

Beautifully cooked and enough chips for 4 people. I have had food from the Fish Bar before and they have never let me down on quality, quantity and flavour. Very sweet young lady delivered too. Thank you.

Beautiful battered fish and chips were a close second. Friend had the burger, which was also excellent. Very friendly service, we ate on benches in the shop as on our way to Brighton.

Awful. Ordered fish and chips. Within 5 mins of eating the fish I was violently sick. All they said was no one else has reported being ill. It only takes one fish to be not quite right but they are now making excuses.

The fish they made was very fresh and delicious. They prepared my meal without waiting too long and were very modest.

I order via the uber app. The fish and chips are the best in the area. The food arrives quickly and is piping hot. Excellent value.

It was worth waiting an hour after going through their online delivery website, the halloumi wrap ordered was to die for after a long day. Usually order from this place in person and haven't had an issue before. No complaints from my bro as he's already gotten through his meal as it entered the door.

Had better than what was served here. Fish - Haddock was good, but my Cod was over cooked although it was freshly done. Chips were ok. Friendly staff.

Usually I would leave 5 stars. Not sure what happened with this week's order. Chips on the dry side, just didn't seem as fresh as usual. My son also commented that his battered sausage was a bit dry too Hope its a one off because as I say, usually I leave 5 🌟

We always have one large fish and one small chips between two. That is a perfect size. The food is absolutely delicious.

The chips had no salt and vinegar on them and the burgers had so much sauce it was just falling out first bad experience defo wasn’t as nice as last time

We can’t fault the shoreham fish bar!… we have tried all the local fish and chips shops in the past but by far the shoreham fish bar tops them all!… always great food and the service by the team is always friendly and prompt!

I ordered fish and chips at 4pm did not arrive !spoke to lady manager completely spoke over me the whole conversation rude, obnoxious telling me if I wanted it quicker to collect it . They do not know how to speak to customers. I will never buy from that place again. Disgusting behaviour how can they be in the finals of the Argos when they have a disgusting attitude like that. Answer to your explanation: I called at 4pm yet at 5pm it was just starting to be cooking. You were rude! You was obnoxious ! You did constantly talk over me ! Do not make excuses for your bad customer care, the only voice you was interested in Listening to was your own. I won’t be buying from your shop again and I only hope the Argos looks into customer care because your lacking in it quite clearly.

Great food, always come back. Live in lancing but make the point of travelling past closer fish and chip shops because this is the best we have found! Sometimes quite a lot of sauce on the burgers!

I went here for the first time and I will never go back. The fish and chips were inedible, there was no taste. The service is totally disappointing, and I got the fish and chips wrapped in paper for takeaway. It was disgusting.

Chips were lovely but the battered sausage was a bit bland and not very crispy. I don’t know why fish and chip shops use cheap sausages, I wouldn’t mind paying a little extra for a decent sausage.
