Anouska catered for my mother’s funeral. Everything went wrong but she was incredibly resourceful and solved the problems without needing to ask me. The food was plentiful and excellent. Lots of guests complimented both the presentation and the quality. Well done Anouska and your lovely team

My husband, sister-in-law and myself dined at the Plaza location, Saturday night, April 6th to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We sat in the main dining room. Shortly after being seated, we noticed that the booth adjacent to us, there was large Old English Sheep dog lying on the floor. I am not aware of your pet policy but we were not happy about spending over $200 at a high in restaurant to sit next to a large dog licking itself. Does anyone other than pet owners have rights. There are people that are allergic to animals, afraid of dogs or simply don’t like dogs but are subjected to other people’s animals. Our waitress was very pleasant and gave use good service however, my husband’s scallops were chewy and my fish was overcooked. We not be patronizing McCormick and Schmick’s again due to their pet policy, it’s very unsanitary and inconsiderate of all patrons.

We had a very good dining experience. We went to celebrate a birthday. Very good food.

Ate here as we have wanted to for sometime on our many visits to KC. Worked out this trip to finally eat here. Placed our order and when it came out, my wife’s order was wrong. The server apologized and said he would get it correct. He put in an order for what she requested. He left the dish which was incorrect and told us we could have it. We nibbled on it, however, not what we wanted. She liked the correct dish and I enjoyed my dish. When check arrived, we had to pay for the wrong dish? We had to pay for 3 entrees? Not proper at all!!!!!! This is the first time this has happened to us when an order was incorrectly placed. We didn’t even eat 1/4 of the dish that was incorrect. By this time business was picking up so we knew it would be awhile to get a correction and there were hardly any workers on the floor. We needed to leave for other commitments, so we were stuck paying for this. Very disappointed. We won’t be back.

The food is good here. Our issue is the service. It is a complete rush job, hurry up and order, your pushed to hurry and order dinner, app's and salad's were served on top of each other. other tables were not being rushed like we were.

I am a repeat customer of McCormick and Schmidt, and I will continue to come back. The oysters are on point, the swordfish was delicious, the salmon was amazing; each dish complimented by tasty sides and a “chocolate bag” dessert that blew us away. Not to mention the cocktails are flavorful and well balanced and in my opinion worth trying/ordering over the wines. The craftsmanship of both the chef and bartenders is top notch and that’s well complimented by how attentive the serving staff is. I’m a happy customer and will recommend this place for anyone who enjoys good seafood!

This food will wake up your taste buds! Absolutely delicious cuisine, from Caribbean to traditional English dishes. There’s always something for everyone.

Very delicious chocolate bag desert

Only visited for an afternoon test while on vacation. We had the chocolate bag and the brown butter cake. Both were phenomenal!! And the drinks weren't bad either. Great and friendly wait staff. Neat, tidy restaurant, clean bathrooms, private dining available as well. Highly recommend!

We took a friend couple out for appetizers and dinner. You can easily make reservations on google/ open table app. They do not take reservations over the phone.

Loved everything. Greek salad was fresh. The Shrimp Cocktail was delicious, and the cocktail sauce was amazing with extra horseradish. The swordfish was divine. Everything was wonderful. The waitress was great. My only drawback was that the salmon was farm raised. I do not eat farm raised fish and wouldn't have ordered it if I knew. I assumed a nice seafood restaurant would have wild caught fish. Great experience, nonetheless.

We have been here several times in the past, but for some reason, everything prepared for our meals was spot on..... our hats off to the chef! Thank you for the truly amazing meal. Steak , lobster and shrimp were excellent.

i came here in november with my friend. i completely forgot to leave a review. five stars doesn’t even do justice. this was the BEST meal i have ever had in my life. not to mention, the service was AMAZING. The manager had seated us (i think she was the manager) and was so friendly and kind. We were able to sit down at a comfortable booth immediately and our server quickly came to greet us. Julian, was the kindest most compassionate person i’ve ever met. as a restaurant manager myself, i love seeing people in food business (or any industry) who clearly love their work. he spoke about his team and the restaurant with such pride. he knew every inch of the menu and was able to describe the food so perfectly. he was so pleasant and on point. i had stopped one of the other servers to ask for something because Julian was with another table, and she was the same way- kind, genuine, and overall lovely. the food may be expensive, yes. but there will always be an occasion that’s worth going out all the way. i hope anyone and everyone considers this restaurant as their next dinner for their special occasion. i plan to come soon again with my boyfriend for our next dinner date. thank you to the lovely serving staff, detailed chefs, and super management for making my birthday dinner so special. it was a memory i truly won’t forget.

Raven was a wonderful server, and our food was great.

Patio fire pit for happy hour was a dream! Calamari was phenomenal, edamame was great, truffle fries were great. Skip the Bao - it was pretty dry. Skip the chocolate box thing and get the butter cake! The box was basically plain chocolate filled with whipped cream and berries (they say white chocolate mousse, but I didn’t taste that). The gooey butter cake thing though was next level good, especially with coffee. Service was fantastic! Staff was so friendly. Food was a little slow to come out, but not terribly so. The Prosecco was amazing.

I just love going here for New Years and any special occasions. It's located on plaza , has a patio area, dining seatinh and nice secluded booths for privacy. I recommend cajin blackened pepper chicken. Fries on the menu are cooked in soybean oil, which adds more flavor. I have tried shrimp 🍤, chicken, burgers, chocolate bag, 🦞 mash potatos, 🐟 tacos and 🦀 cakes (my fav) I haven't been disappointed. Very nice establishment for fine dining and takeout.

Used Fete and Lime for catering a last minute family get together. Anouska was helpful and responsive to messages. There was loads of food and it was all great quality. Delicious. Will definitely use again.

Everything thing was amazing! Oysters, bone-in ribeye, upside-down apple pie. The server timed our meal so we could enjoy our meal. We were there for an hour and 45 minutes.

Food was just ok. Service was sub par. Normally the view is great, however, had us packed in tight in the back room. So you may want to ask for better seating during the reservation. Could have been much better for a restaurant of this level. Just not the experience I expected. I said thank you on the way out.

Service was really good, but the meal was pretty underwhelming for the price.

Their food is very expensive but for good reason: the portions are enormous, healthy, filling, and perfect. Their chocolate bag desert is well known in the area. Highly recommend the appetizer: bacon wrapped shrimp with truffles. The shrimp was very plump and meaty. The atmosphere is romantic and high-end. There are some private areas that can be sectioned off with curtains. The outside seating has a fire pit. The service is excellent. The waitress learned it was our first time and was very patient and helpful with the menu. Later, the manager came over to have a friendly chat and welcome us - we felt noticed!

Went for hubby's bday mom in law was with us.normally she finds something to complain about but not this time. Server was really good attentive and acomadating. Oops spell check. Loved it.

My first time at this restaurant. It was a business lunch, so it was important that the food be great and the service be on point and not intrusive. Our server was perfect and our lunches were fantastic.

Loved our visit here. Filet and lobster. Wedge salad. Oysters. All excellent. Server was a pro. Made us feel right at home. Dessert was delicious and unique. Will go back at first opportunity.

Normally I take pictures of my food, and this is the first time I haven’t- I wish so badly I did. First, the hostess was AMAZING both on the phone when I called her with some questions, and in person. I think her name may have been Simone. Our waitress- while I didn’t catch her name, was incredible. I have an allergy and I asked if it was an ingredient in a plate and she asked just to be sure. She was kind about it. She wasn’t intrusive but she was never hard to find, either. The drinks: their wine selection is endless, but I’m a cocktail girl - and they have them for every kind of taste you want. From fruity and sweet to Smokey and dry! They were balanced and delicious! The food. The FOOD. Oh my goodness, the food. I had a salmon plate, and it was thick and easy, sweet. The fixing under it/with it were SO GOOD that it was a meal in itself. Risotto with artichoke hearts and this sauce that paired so well. But I couldn’t help but share my plate with my dinner mates plate, as they chose the CAD 9oz Top Sirloin Steak- medium Rare cook with mashed potato’s. When I tell you this was hands down the best steak either of us have ever had in our entire lives- and we are steak enthusiasts- IT WAS THE BEST. It required no extras, no sauces, no nothin. It was cooked perfectly. We had crème brûlée for desert which was perfectly sweet, the jumbo shrimp for appetizers which were delicious, and a cup of clam chowder which was sweeter than Im used to as a west coast girl, but we still cleared our dishes. This is 100% a place we have decided we will make a tradition to return to.

I ordered shrimp cocktail for my appetizer and lobster tail for my entree. Both were severally overcooked.

Due to a medical situation we were late for our reservation and the staff was wonderful to work with us 1st course course was salads and Clam Chowder The Clam Chowder had a little spicy kick, but we agreed it was #2 of the 3 chowders we had for Restaurant Week 2nd course varied a lot in our group The steaks were prepared as desired and excellent The bone-in pork chop and it was delicious The Open Blue Cobia was 1/4th the size of the steak and bland The grilled Asparagus and sauteed Spinach were full of flavor and wonderful 3rd course The Creme Brulee and Cheesecake were delicious The Upside Down Candied Walnut Apple Pie was fantastic and stood all by itself

Christmas Eve Dinner was AMAZING! Nicole the manager was so helpful in securing our reservation and even called to verify our likes and that it was my birthday dinner. Nicole even stopped by our table to meet us. Our server, Toffey was super friendly and professional we couldn’t believe it was only her second day! We loved her to pieces! We had an awesome time and the food was second to none! Even waiting for our table my husband was served fresh oysters from the kitchen . We will definitely be back and cannot say enough about what a great experience we had. Thank you so much!

Definitely subpar for the price. Initially ordered an experimental cocktail which menu said handcrafted at the table. Well, that really just meant bring out the cocktail already made, pour it in a glass over a large cube and ultimately failing to smoke it, maybe due to the server's experience level or unknown issue with the smoker. Ordered dinner and the 2 fish entrees were slightly above average. But my son ordered a 9 oz steak. They asked if he wanted the standard side of mashed potatoes and he asked for mac and cheese instead. Ultimately this came out to about $40 total and the M&C was an added side I guess. I later ordered an Old Fashioned. After about 10 min, it finally arrived...over crushed ice. The server did state their ice machine was broken but then I asked why I received a cocktail at the beginning over a large cube. There was no explanation. This should have been stated upfront. Why would a place like this think it's perfectly fine to serve a drink like this over crushed ice?

The food here is amazing and worth the price. Service this visit was exceptional also. One of our favorite places to eat for special occasions.

Let's just say I've never seen a hamburger with the tomato beneath the meat versus on top.... Bun was so soggy, I used my knife and fork to eat the burger and top half of bun. Waitress was sweet. Parking a challenge.

My husband and I ate here for a date night. Everything was spectacular. We made reservations as it was a weekend night. We were seated promptly and the server was very attentive. She made great recommendations on the menu items. We had the crab dip appetizer, which was quite tasty. The server brought us extra bread, which was necessary to finish off the dip. I ordered the swordfish and I’m still dreaming about it. Everything, even the bed of spinach the swordfish was plated, was delicious. My husband ordered the filet and thought it was great. We ordered sides of lobster mashed potatoes and truffle Mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was incredible, but rich. Was lovely reheated too. The lobster mashed potatoes were just okay. Not sure I’d order those again. Overall great experience and looking forward to our next visit

Amazing service by our server, the food was great, the cocktails were delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The downfalls were we had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time with no apology or explanation and the mac n'cheese was watery and bland. I'd definitely return based on the rest of the food. The rib eye entree and shrimp appetizer was so good!

It was the best experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant. It’s expensive, but worth every penny.

We went to your Kansas City at the plaza location on Friday and it was very disappointing. We took our 3 teenagers and 2 of their friends, one is a foreign exchange student and we wanted her to choose the place to eat. Obviously your establishment was chosen. My husband, youngest daughter and I had been there previously and really was impressed with the service and the food. This time was like a whole different place. Of the two appetizers we ordered, the calamari was inconsistent. Part was alright the other was overcooked and chewy. The lump crab was okay, the kids ate it. The steaks were cooked how they were ordered but definitely wasn't a high end quality cook. The lobster tail I ordered was very rubbery and bland. The asparagus was the only thing I really enjoyed. I had a side of scallops as well and they were overcooked and rubbery. The kids liked their Sea Bass and Mahi Mahi but all of them would not eat your mashed potatoes. Are they box? They tasted like a box or bag and we only use real potatoes in our house. To top it all off our server spilled the juices off the ribeye one of the girls ordered all over my arm, new shirt(thankfully black) and my legs....thankfully I had my napkin there and only part of my pants got it. I did not pull a Karen while we were there because we were trying to give the kids especially our foreign exchange student, a good positive and fun experience. The only good thing about the visit was the privacy of our booth. Being we spent 500 there it really should have been a much better experience. To add to it....high end establishments should be cleaner. There was shrimp tails on the floor by our booth.

Happy hour, birthday, romantic dinner! Whatever the occasion McCormick is the spot. The ambience is wonderful. The food is killer, and let's not talk about the drinks! Will was my bar tender, not only was his customer service amazing. My tequila sunrise was to *to die for*, truly the best I've EVER had. You can see the passion for his craft! 10/10 highly recommend.

This place has it all! Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for! You will not feel cheated! Try the Chocolate Bag for dessert!

Went for 50th birthday wife asked for window seating on the reservation the walk in just before us got a window we got a great view of the kitchen. Waitress was awesome. Had swordfish entree it was good but not great for the price. Desert was amazing. Probably wouldn't go back by choice.

Below average seafood with a nice atmosphere on the Country Club Plaza. I have had better quality food at Red Lobster. Quite disappointed.

I have been going to McCormick for over 20 years. Wonderful food. That $29.00 steak I would say stay away or the cook can season it better. Just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it doesn’t need seasoning. The chocolate bag- YUM!!!

Party of 4 adults with reservations, on Thanksgiving Day-all family who had never been to this 4.5☆ fine dining restaurant. We were seated on time, , privileged to have a knowledgeable, pleasant server. The menu was rather small, with yummy sounding food.. Unfortunately, it was NOT SO! We ordered 4 different entrées & upscaled sides(to taste each) plus a server recommended, appetizer & 4 bar drinks. Very small portions of all items. The 8oz filet mignon(med rare) was the worst with a large gristle running through the entire cut. It was carved away & shown to the server (with no response other than "sorry". Stuffed salmon was extremely small w/fair flavor. Pork chop was flavorful but tough, a traditional turkey dinner was only fair at best. The shrimp appetizer was over cooked. We were totally disappointed, hence will never go back & prices were over & above the quality of the food. Note: the New England clam chowder was good but nothing special. We are frequent restaurant participants. Never again and will warn friends.

Lisa was an absolute gem. From menu suggestions to her overall demeanor, our dining experience was wonderful. The food is very well prepared and so delicious!! Pleasant atmosphere and not terribly busy for a Saturday night. Thank you, Lisa, for ensuring our “just because” dinner received the highest quality service. We will definitely be back for happy out and those fish tacos you mentioned.

My husband surprised me for our date night. I have not been back for awhile. I would always talk about how McCormick was the best place in KC to get seafood! Times have changed for sure. Crab stuffed salmon was ok. The salmon was cooked to perfection but the artichoke in it not very pleasant and didn't even taste the crab. Calamari was ok a little dry that it had been sitting under a light for awhile. My husband had a steak and it was cooked differently on the sides verses the center. I am sad to say this is not number 1on my list anymore. I will say bartender did make the best old fashion!

My NY strip steak was cooked perfectly and my wife loved the lobster and crab stuffed salmon. Our server was pleasant and professional. Beautiful decor and great location.

When traveling to KC this is always a fav! I was a little sad that our crab cakes were forgotten but our drinks were really good so that makes up for it. The blackened mahi mahi was great, I wish it was a little more seasoned but the fish itself melted in my mouth.

This place was just fantastic the service was perfect and the food was also great it was my wife's 60 birthday and they treated her just fantastic we had a blast

While celebrating an anniversary we were very let down. The name and expectation of McCormick and Schmick's weighed heavier than our experience. We ordered specialty cocktails, oysters , lobster bisque & clam chowder, swordfish and twin lobster tails. The best part of our meal was the soup! Our server was very kind we just feel that the service standards have lowered greatly. Servers jogging through the dining room in pairs from their managers office; food runners forgeting knives for steak and specialty silverware for oysters; entrees arriving while two bites into our soup, is unacceptable service standards for the prices your establishment is charging. Wilted spinach with underseasoned mushrooms was an obvious afterthought with the swordfish. The twin lobsters were overcooked the potatoes with lobster bisque was very underwhelming. Saying we were let down and disappointed is an understatement. Get the soup though, it was solid🙂

Ate from one of their pop ups during the Plaza Art Fair. Had yummy blackened shrimp and a crab cake sandwich and the chocolate bag cone. Would love to try the restaurant soon too! The food and service were both good!!!

We went into this place thinking we would enjoy some SEAFOOD! In stead, we felt very nice unwelcome. As the hostess was on the phone at her station. She never looked up or acknowledged we were even there. We waited and turned and walked out! This kind of service is unacceptable. This was at 2:10 PM on Sunday. Our GREAT COUNTRY HAS GONE TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET because of IDIOTS LIKE HER! Don Van Campen. PS; we will never go to any place owned by this company!

Typically, this is a 5-star experience, but not tonight. The service was poor, and the food service was slow. One waiter dropped a glass, and it shattered all around our table. The waiter didn't respond and waited for someone else to clean up the mess. No comment, no apology, no consideration. I pray this is just a one-time poor experience.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in awhile! Service was so slow. We were seated and put our drink and appetizers order in and our appetizers came out first even before our drinks after 45 minutes. When our entrees came out my husbands order was wrong. So they went to get the right order and it came out once again wrong-he had ordered a filet and it came out twice as a ribeye. Kobe burger was not great, sea bass was overcooked, the shrimp of the shrimp and grits was so overcooked it was hard to eat, twin lobster tails were extremely overcooked (even difficult to cut with a knife) and the lobster bisque potatoes were nothing special, tasted like box potatoes with some sauce over the top. My husband’s order finally came out at the end of the meal, although they finally got his filet his potatoes were cold. This was my birthday celebration, they did not offer me a dessert or any acknowledgment of it. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we were hard pressed to get out of there by 9:45! We just wanted this horrible experience to be over! For the price paid this was below sub par for food and services!! I DO NOT recommend spending your time or money here!

When I see the person handling our food and drinks using the back of their hand to wipe snot from their nose in plain view and not washing their hands and continuing to go about their job contaminating everything in sight......This Gives Me Great Pause Oh My Goodness. The Host needs a bit of a tune up.

Have been here multiple times over the years. Never have had an issue. Usually go here now for the chocolate bag and “dessert” drinks.

This is the second M&S we’ve tried, the first in Pittsburgh. Both have been excellent experiences from all aspects: menu choices and prices, service and atmosphere, and location. I’m sure as we travel we will continue to look for this restaurant.

I went for dinner with two other people. My fish and chips was really poor. Overcooked fish soggy french fries coleslaw tasted bad. Friend Crab cake needed some crab. Was pureed unusual. Not the usual quality that we expected from McCormick and schmick. The third person liked her food. Soup and salad. Service was excellent.

The server was amazing 👏 However my over price steak was fatty... and not cooked to my liking
